On the Detroit Dragway page, Picture titled "FROM 1959 24" is Bernie Partridge in the white roadster #236. At the time Bernie was teamed with Bob Leighton on this Desoto powered roadster. Bernie went on to become the NHRA Division 7 Director, and then on to the Vice President of Field Operations with the NHRA. Bob "Gus" Leighton continued racing with Dennis Garrett and the Dragmaster B and was still active with the Inyokern Drag Strip, and his own dragsters that most recently have been driven by his son, grand son, and grandaughter.
