2.30am - Monday April 1st - The Inner Sanctum...?
(Sorry for dancing about Jinlo in here, tell me if I need to edit, will do gladely, just wanted to try and give you a better understanding on what was happening about her and what the guys were like)

Late shifts were a pain in so many ways, on the weekends it wasn’t as bad, the following day could be used to sleep it off. However Talia had started Sunday night, afternoon shift, and agreed, if not initially insisted, that Beast should get some rest and she could take the late shift for him. Lord knew the guy had more then enough on his plate during the week, least his helpers could do was try to relieve some of that pressure, and honestly, night hours were not the busiest and he could always be summoned if the world was coming to an end again. Talia slumped bored over her desk for the moment, a straw pressed between her lips as liquid was sucked up from the soda can. Homework was brushed aside by this point, she felt proud enough that most of it had managed to get done, though exhausted because on top of that the medbay had obligations she needed to tend to.

Replacements would come at about 6 or so… sometimes they showed up late, other times early, weekends tended to make the other helpers either more exhausted or far more rested. Hours till then, it was not even three yet, definitely after two, somewhere between most likely but Talia refused to check the time every ten minutes. For a moment the nurse let her eyes close, she even let a slight numbness cloud her thoughts as sleep toyed with the telepath’s consciousness. It was a sudden shrill of noise that pulled her upright, throwing a disorientated look around, X-men were known to set prank sires off in order to test the students knowledge of the emergency drill, few and far between as such things had been, Talia somehow didn’t think this was one of them. She’d have been told, medbay in general and the staff would have been told, and her father would have said something so that his daughter didn’t get scared. Having a daughter that could just teleport to gods knows where in a blink of an eye tended to make Nightcrawler a little uneasy in setting off her panic button. Talia moved to the windows, peering out as the siren’s rang, shadows moved in the distance, pouring in through the gates, making their way across the ground, the auto-defence systems were active too. Talia spotted a powerful beam slice into something that got caught in its way, more seemed to be sweeping the area and for a moment Talia wondered if they were safe within these walls, surrounded by such great defences.

Just as Talia was about to turn for her only patient, something banged hard against the glass she stood before, the shards shattering all around her and something falling heavy on top, pinning down the smaller form beneath it’s weight. With a struggle Talia shoved the heavy armoured individual off her, only to catch a glimpse of more coming in through the window, as if scaling down from the roof itself! *Bamf* From being within reach of one Talia now stood by the desk, it was difficult to send telepathic messages as well as teleport, she could only do one at a time really, or neither ended up being very effective, since both required a focusing of her mind. A three fingered hand reached for the alarm button hidden under her desk, managing to let her fingers brush against it and send alerts to the security station. A gun flashed in the corner of her view, frightened, Talia was gone again, leaving nothing but a swirl of blue smoke and the sound of air rushing to fill the gap her body had once occupied. With intentions of grabbing her patient, Talia appeared beside Jinlo, her hands reaching for the girl as six men seemed to storm the medical center.

Quick, ve must g- The words seemed to silence suddenly, and when Talia’s hands rested against Jinlo’s arm… nothing happened, and a confused expression was soon replaced with more worry and fear. Tossing insecurity into the wind, as Talia was known to do in such situations, the telepath opened her lips to speak, keeping her voice soft even as some of the men approached their location. "Somezing’s, I can’t teleport," The German accent tainted her speak just as it had effected her telepathically communicated words, usually there was a tenderness to them, a desire to sooth and heal. Now she was scared, unsure, worried both for her patient and for herself, Talia had been in enemy hands before, she never wanted to go back down that path again!

Doctor McCoy! It was happening so faster, none of them bothered to even notice her for a moment ,they seemed more cautious of something else, the great Beast Talia realized, they were looking out for him. Pleaze, Beast, zere are men in ze medbay! The end of a weapon seemed aimed at her, it was only then, when she went to try and use her weak telekinetic abilities that she relented to knowing something was very wrong.

"Where’s Doctor McCoy?" The wielder of the gun inquired with a cold voice, though Talia was in panic, glancing over towards her sole patient, "It’s all clear, one room occupied," Talia eyed the weapon before her, again trying to allow her mind to wrap about the weapon and toss it aside, trying to get into their heads wasn’t working but they had helmets on… Talia had heard before that some alloys stopped psychic penetration, Xavier had told her when she was younger, when the voices of her mind were too much and he had let her know that if it never improved she could always get a helmet such as those. They were moving swiftly, blocking the path from the room. Talia tried to shapeshift, tried to remove the fur from her body, nothing happened, nothing but the butt end of a gun striking her in the face, the shock of it sending her sinking back from the enemy but still trying to keep herself between them and her patient. A hand rose to press against the throbbing pain as golden eyes glared up at the cruel individual.

"Where’s that Beast you stupid creature!" Creature? Creature? Those golden eyes now narrowed, her lips pressing together, "You vill meet him soon enough!" Came an uncharacteristic hiss from the nurse, who wasn’t sure she’d ever been so angry and frightened at the same time, fear was one thing, she’d been alne and scared, but now she was furious.. how dare they enter the medlab like this! A place of healing! A place of supposed peace!!

"We’ll keep them in the room, set it up for further visitors," The apparent leader seemed to announce, more movement seemed to sound from outside in the main area and Talia wondered what they were doing to her precious sanctuary! There was no way to run past them, no reasonable chance two of them could overpower them… Whatever was stopping her from using her powers… likely it was stopping Jinlo too… this was definitely not something their fragile patient had needed! And to think the girl was just creeping from her shell the last few days.

Re: 2.30am - Monday April 1st - The Inner Sanctum...?
The sharp shrill sound that screamed from the small electronic speaker implanted within the wall, pulled Jinlo out of her some what troubled sleep, with a startled jolt she opened her eyes only to tightly close them immediately after, one of the effects it seemed of the alarm system being set of is that the lights seemed to forcibly come to life, perhaps to ensure that everyone was able to carefully make their way out of the building without injuring themselves fumbling for the light. With a groan of resignation Jinlo slipped her legs over the side of the bed, before gradually making her way towards what many would consider a tiny wardrobe, but in her eyes and for all the possessions she had there was more than enough space in which she could contain her possessions.

Opening the door in a slight hurry, just in case there was an emergency taking place and not a drill, from which she had been made aware of by Dr McCoy, mostly out of preparation so that she would not become too startled and panicked by the ordeal, all she had to do was remain calm and follow the instructions of the members of staff around her, it was with that thought she wrapped the warm woollen pale blue dressing gown around her, before tying the chords snugly in place so to trap her body’s warmth within the fabric of the gown. She did not want to brave the brisk April night air in nothing more than the thin cotton fabric of her pyjamas. Her thoughts of her objections to the spring night weather were brought to a swift end as the sounds of glass shattering, screaming echoed throughout the halls around and leading up towards the med bay, causing her to hesitantly ease her way towards the door to her self enclosed room within the medical ward.

Many seemed to take an interest into why Jinlo was so hesitant on leaving the medical ward; after all she was starting to recover from the shock and trauma that engulfed her mind when her mutant abilities made an abrupt appearance, during the fateful night within hell’s kitchen. It was not as if she did not want to leave the medical ward for the prospect of a less imposing dormitory room, it was simply a case that she was not yet comfortable dealing with crowds, even though she did enjoy her day out at the New York zoo a few days back, she could not help but feel on edge being surrounded by numerous nameless faces. She was grateful that McCoy saw understanding in her plight and allowed her to progress at her own pace.

Slowly she opened the door, edging it slightly ajar so that she could try and gain an idea for what was the cause of the pandemonium that she could hear echo throughout the walls around her, she could not help but become painfully aware of the fact that her hands were trembling in fear, so much so that the door handle was rattling under her grasp. From where her room was situated she could not get a clear idea of what was going on, even though she had become overly curious as to cause, she was equally hesitant to step out of the room, out of fear that she may end up putting herself into harms way.

Her entire body swiftly went stiff when a hand clasped around her arm, panic stricken Jinlo emitted a yelp of shock through her lips before turning to face the possessor of the hand that was clamped onto her face. Her body visibly and physically relaxed as her eyes fell upon one of the nurses who worked within the med lab either when McCoy was busy or unavailable. The look on her face was more than enough to convey that what was going on was no mere drill, the closing sounds of heavy boots connecting with the floor was enough to convey that this was no mere fire alarm, yet alone a drill. As much as she wanted to ask what was going on, she could not find the ability to voice her words; her mind was too consumed with fear and panic to be capable to bring the words to her mouth.

Gradually retreating away from the door as the sound of boots hammering against the floor drew ever closer, unsure if it was of her own device or if Talia was leading her away form the door, every thing seemed to blur into a state of uncertainty, she had no idea of what was taking place, it was if she had gone into automatic, following the flow of everyone else around her, or more precisely following Talia’s lead. She could feel all the colour drain from her face as the door violently burst open as several men stormed inside, each of them dressed in military like fatigues, their weapons seemed to give the impression that they were are military like unit, after all she had seen gangs adopt a similar means of kitting themselves out in military attire, but it was often the miss match collection of weapons that would indicate that they were nothing more than a group of thugs wanting to play tough.

These people however were significantly different, the way in which they covered the rear, and each other displayed a sense of professional expertise that was beyond that of a typical gangland thug. Slowly she retreated towards the back of the room ensuring that the bed was partially between her and the soldiers standing at the door, whilst the venomous exchange took place between the nurse and the invading force raiding the institute. She could not help but scream in shock and panic as she watched the butt of one of the soldiers gun connect with Talia’s face.

Her eyes were wide in shock fear as one of the other soldiers drew close towards her, despite the fact that Talia had aimed to put herself into the path of the soldier’s advances, Jinlo still emitted a panicked yelp from her lips before diving towards the far corner of the room, cowering in terror as she watched the soldier back off from pursuing her, following the order to ensure that the room was secure. The soldier’s attention then moving onto the various features of the room, whilst the other soldiers kept their weapons honed on the two mutants being detained. Watching in horror as the soldier swept the contents off of the shelves that were dotted throughout the room, inwardly becoming frantic as she watched what few trinkets she had been able to carry before leaving her home once and for all shatter in a burst of fragmented glass and porcelain across the hard floor, forcefully being scored out as not being a threat, in addition to disappearing out of her life once and for all.

Slowly her fingers tightly wrapped around the gold trimmed pale blue crystalline heart shaped pendant that hung around her neck, now one of the last few physical reminders of her past that still remained intact, originally passed on to her by her mother shortly before she succumbed to her terminal illness. Jinlo was not going to surrender the pendant so easily, her tightly wrapped fingers gently rubbing against the surface of the gem, as if she was trying invoke a disembodied spirit or being to come to their aid. Even through her tear stained eyes it was clearly futile to think of such an unorthodox means of salvation, there was no way in which they could be rescued from gun point, especially when it seemed that Talia’s powers had been nullified. Even though she was unsure if her own abilities were affected she was somewhat hesitant to find out, she had a minimal understanding of the triggers of her powers, however she possessed a greater fear of the potential harm it could inflict.

All she could do was remain where she was, positioned cowering in the corner, watching as the soldiers kept their guns levelled on both her and Talia, whilst one of their team continued to search what pitiful possessions she had, for any sign of concealed weapon hidden away within the room, her eyes now stained red as she continued to silently weep in reflection of what was taking place around her, her past now lay shattered upon the floor of her room, and her future was not looking to bright either.

Re: 2.30am - Monday April 1st - The Inner Sanctum...?
The Beast not being in Medbay had been a surprise, they had assault it with a great burst of energy and weaponry and devices and in the end there were only sirens and frightened girls. The team leader felt almost elated by the ease of which Medlab, once invaded, was readily taken. Of course getting there had been a challenge, and yet it seemed the only change facing Agent Marc Daniels at this point as he paced the room to help double check it had been secured and prepared. This was as much a rescue mission as anything else, after all, these youngsters were not to be entirely blamed for what they were, you could not choose how you are to be born nor can you decide what fate decides for you. And fate had dealt these creatures a very poor hand indeed, and Marc would help cleanse the mistake of their existence.

Once it was checked and secured and the area prepared for both incoming aid and further possible assaults, Marc drifted towards the door of one of the rooms, able to clearly see in to the figures inside through the panel of glass. "Make sure all glass is removed and the containment fields set up before she arrives," The security system had blocked off the windows, leaving one third of the team on the other side and making their way via some other route, not that it mattered.

"It must be true, look at that," Another hovered by the door to stare in with Marc, both eyeing Talia with a look of curious disgust and all she could do in turn was hug her arms about herself and glare right back at them. "No human could look like that," The other agreed, "Demonic possession?" He asked, though Marc continued to study the disfigured girl and shook his head slightly, "No, she made it seem more as if they are tainted some other way, more like they’re poisoned, no matter though, we have them, and the dead zones we’ve generated must work, you saw what that one could do," If she could teleport earlier then it’d make sense she’d grab the other girl and run, but she wasn’t, which only proved that the field was suppressing their powers, just as Professor Walsh had said it would. "First she wants to see if it can be cut out of them, maybe if there’s a cure…" the other began, though turned away, they knew even if there was a cure that in the end most of these things they find in the school would have to be dealt with, they would not give up their powers so easily, their souls were no longer human really, they were blinded by greed and power and the lust for sin. Marc opened the door, men seemed instantly behind him with their weapons ready and aimed and without a word Marc entered.

"If one of you move in the slightest, the other dies first, then.. You’ll die." How much was human and how much was tainted beyond repair, Marc wasn’t sure, but even the more grotesque one had seemed concerned for the other earlier, maybe something human still lurked within that twisted visage. "I am going to leave these here, you will put both of them on, the wrist restrains and the collar, do as we say, and you’ll suffer less," The metallic devices were tossed towards the both of them, then Marc backed out of the room, the door closed and instantly someone else was smashing the glass of the door and the windows of the room. "Stay away from the doors and windows… we wouldn’t want you getting hurt while we prepare for some more of your friends," All they needed now was for cooperation and to take down their leaders, cut off the head and hopefully the body dies… though apparently that hadn’t worked with Xavier, they will need to take out the entire faculty.

The first insinct was to just remain still, not to provoke them any further, and so Talia watched them, angry but quiet as she stared. One of them seemed to be giving out orders and pointing out what needed to be done next, Talia took him for the leader though he was dressed like all the others so he might not be in charge of all this. It soon became somewhat clear that the one she was eyeing was indeed just another henchman as he went on about some mysterious woman who they needed to be ready for... then again this 'she' could be anyone, it could be one of their own for all Talia knew, someone these perverted monsters were interested in.

"Make sure all glass is removed and the containment fields set up before she arrives," Talia looked around, eyeing the shutters that had closed down over the outer windows and made the room feel so much like the cell these men intended it to be. "It must be true, look at that," It was another voice that spoke, muffled a little but they spoke loud enough that the words could be made out even through the shut door. They were both staring at Talia and she felt like an animal, though even zoo animals on display didn't seem to feel as uncomfortable as she did right then.

"No human could look like that," It hurt, and Talia's arms seemed to hug herself slightly more firmly, "Demonic possession?" They couldn't be serious? For a moment Talia stared stupidly, then it occured to her... most people didn't really consider demons to be real. Who were these people? To think a mutant was a demon seemed absurd! "No, she made it seem more as if they are tainted some other way, more like they’re poisoned, no matter though, we have them, and the dead zones we’ve generated must work, you saw what that one could do," None of it made sense, Talia glancd over toward Jinlo only briefly before throwing another agitated look towards the men hovering on the other side of the glass panel.

"First she wants to see if it can be cut out of them, maybe if there’s a cure…" ...Cut it out of them?! The nurse couldn't help but draw in a shakey breath at the thought of what they might be up to. It definitely didn't sound like something any of the students would be liking. She flinched slightly as the door opened, were they going to take her first? What would they do... she was tired of people hurting her for being different, hadn't she already suffered enough?

"If one of you move in the slightest, the other dies first, then.. You’ll die." Talia narrowed her eyes and glared but remained still, not even her tail flinched as he approched... but if he touched her patient she'd sink her fangs into him real bad, she'd show him a demon!

"I am going to leave these here, you will put both of them on, the wrist restrains and the collar, do as we say, and you’ll suffer less," Another flinch came as the resrtaints clattered to the floor, leaving a bitter taste in her mouth as she stared at them.e shattering glass was unexpected and Talia flinched yet again, but seemed annoyed with herself with the surprised shock she kept making so obvious. "Stay away from the doors and windows… we wouldn’t want you getting hurt while we prepare for some more of your friends," They were breaking the glass to prepare for more people? That didn't make any sense!! Talia glared some more but snatched up the collar to study it with slight disgust.

"You are not hurt?" Talia rarely spoke, nd often didn't enter her thoughts into peoples minds unless it was needed, she was never one for idle chit chat. But without her telepathy she was forced to speak, there was little she could do...but maybe she could try to help ease her patient.

Re: 2.30am - Monday April 1st - The Inner Sanctum...?
God modded here... sort of.. if anything is amiss please yell! And Jinlo.. gave you lots more to react to.. figured your powers were out and so anything would have been purely verbal.. again... ill edit if thats not the case. basiclly.. moan . :) and ill edit; )

His family was safe. Or soon would be. Hank believed that. He had to believe that.. Otherwise he could never have left them, turning his steps towards med lab. instead of accompanying them in their flight from the Institute. But god knows it wasn’t easy.

A month ago he would have done it without thinking, the med lab being the centre of his universe. Now though things had changed. He had changed. Even if his devotion to his patients was as profound as ever! Still, now there was a reason to leave med labs sterile environment. Now there was someone waiting for him outside its confines. Someone with whom he had planned a life

Hank growled softly as he made his way along the familiar corridors towards what he had considered to be his domain for so many years. They would be safe. Zia.! Jade!. His unborn children! After all his mate was a force of nature, ready to defend, as well as he ever could, or indeed better, all that she considered to be hers. And she considered Jade to be hers …theirs.. for Hank was equally implicated , the strange childlike girl, who he knew to be so much more than that, having won his heart completely in the short time she had stayed with them.

“God” he thought desperately as he made his way towards med lab “I have prayed for a family for so many years. Please don’t take them from me now” He couldn’t think like that though; He couldn’t let any doubts about their safety cloud his mind. He had a job to do. One he had always done before without hesitation. He had to look after his patients. His patient! At the moment there was only one occupant in med lab and she didn’t even need to be there really.. Jinlo!

Hospitals always provoked extreme reactions in people. Some saw them as antechambers for disaster. Some as a place where they themselves had suffered! And others yet as a place where they had found healing and comfort. Jinlo was one of the latter ones. She had come to the Institute traumatised and frightened. And somehow med lab had become her sanctuary! One he had promised her would keep her safe. One he had truly believed would do just that.

And maybe it still had. After all it hadn’t been just any attendant nurse who ad been on duty tonight. It had been Talia.. Talia who could blink out of existence in a heartbeat, taking anyone she choose with her.. They are long gone” Hank told himself as he advanced down suspiciously calm corridors. This didn’t look right! Hank’s hackles stood on end. In fact it looked as if he was being ushered in, invited into some trap.

.Once again Hank tried to raise Talia on the com link, knowing his chances of getting through were limited at best due to the interference that was hampering all communidations. . “Talia. Come in. Is med lab clear? .” There was no reply. Was that due to the com link playing up or something more sinister? Hank couldn’t tell. And that meant that he couldn’t take the chance.

All hell broke loose once he opened the med lab doors.. They were there. The invaders! Hank snarled and dived into the fray, all notion of the reserved physician replaced by the calm and fearfully efficient fighting machine that went by the name of Beast.

Something was wrong though. Hank felt that as soon as he opened the door. Something was trying to interfere with his mutation!

There was a conflict at the very cellular level but Hank didn’t let that stop him. Like an angry lion he hit the first armoured clad being that stood before him , tossing him in a surprised heap into a corner. Something was untowards here. Hank knew that even as his fist made contact with the second assailant and sent him sprawling. He felt as if he was being torn apart, the sensation turning his roar into a cry of pain.

And yet something within him was fighting back. The chaotic energy that Zia had infused him with. Hank had feared it might be his downfall but now… now it might just prove to be his salvation.

He had overcome his adversaries, tossing them aside like so many broken dolls. He had won. . The stimulated basic instincts that had in the end ,overcome the mutation suppressant device that the intruders had set up told him so! . This was his territory and his alone. And all those within it were , as always , in his care!

Which is why he backed off when Talia and Jinlo were led out , obviously helpless and with guns at their heads. Hank was fast. Terribly fast! But fast enough to save both of them? With this relentless genetic attack going on? That wasn’t something he wanted to find out. Talia was.family! . And Jinlo? She was nothing less. Because once you touched someone’s life as intimately as he had touched hers they became family.

Which is why he lowered his claws and .spoke, instead of ripping these arrogant intruders apart as his instincts were telling him to do, and as he knew he was all too capable of. doing.

”Gentlemen” he said , his voice as cultured as his appearance was bestial at that moment. “It seems you have something I desire. Just as I have something you appear to have been sent to procure” It was obvious from the way they had planned things that he was their target. But that was something he was far more willing to live with than he would have been if any harm came to either Talia or Jinlo. “Perhaps negotiations are in order”

Re: 2.30am - Monday April 1st - The Inner Sanctum...?
Slowly she looked down towards the collar and restraining devices that had been cast onto the ground before her, her gaze soon shifting towards the soldier that had cast them towards both her and Talia, her mind was wracked with an array of emotions, ranging from fear and panic, however the most prominent sensation coursing through her mind, was confusion. Whether it was down to the state of panic that she was currently in, Jinlo could not see how she would be able to put the manacles on when she had just been told that if she moved the slightest both she and Talia would die.

Her gaze soon shifted towards the midnight skinned woman standing beside her, as the sound of manacles being handled, her eyes watching as one of the medical staff handled the restraints, seemingly examining them, slowly and gingerly Jinlo leant forward cautious fingers touching upon the cold metal surface of the restraining devices, hesitantly drawing the article close towards her before closely examining them, the fear that was coursing through her was clearly evident through the prominent rattling of the fastenings on the restraints.

As she started to struggle with fastening the restraints, her entire mind and body was shaken away from the current frame of mind as the sounds of a violent commotion tore up from the outside, causing nothing more than her already problematic levels of fear and panic, to skyrocket over what exactly was causing the noise, uncertain whether there were more soldiers storming the place, or a form of resistance was forcing it’s way through, the thought of resistance encouraged a little bit of reassurance, even though it was not enough to settle her nerves entirely it was enough to prevent her from breaking down into full blown hysterics once again.

Subconsciously she screamed in panic, as a trooper suddenly lurched down, his hand tightly clamping onto the scruff of Jinlo’s neck, before hauling her light frame onto her feet, before forcing her out of the room, held at gun point, the barrel held firm against the back of head, so much so that she could feel the cold metal of the weapon’s barrel press against her scalp. Slowly she walked out of the room, going by the same pace that was being dictated to her by the weapon, as she passed through the door she could see Dr McCoy standing within the centre of the Med Lab, amidst a ward that had been reduced to the state that it had just been hit by a bomb.

Looking towards McCoy, Jinlo looked towards him, the state of distress clearly evident about her features, yet amidst the prominent expressions of fear and panic, a trace of hope and relief was visible in her eyes, even despite the fact that she had a gun pointed at the back of her head, the simple presence of the blue feline doctor was enough to make her feel at ease.

Re: 2.30am - Monday April 1st - The Inner Sanctum...?
The commotion outside sparked an intense curiosity inside of Talia, the young German born nurse wanted to inch closer for a better look, rise from her knees and see into the main room what was going on. However she didn’t need to see who it was, somehow she knew, she knew the monster out there was no mere monster, he was a man in fury over the injustice of these people invading his domain. A swelling of hope came, even as they were hassled from their confines out to meet McCoy in a very show of power fashion, Talia had a calmed demeanour. This was a place of healing… and it was true people had died here still full of years to come, but they had never died without a fight, and over the last year she had already prepared herself for the fact that old age may not be the disease to rid her from this world. As long as they took out as many of these monstrous men as they could, she would be happy, and holding a patient of Dr McCoy’s in such a fashion…… well… she held little hope for the survival of these people, one way or another, Hank would punish them.

"Gentlemen" Part of her wanted to tell him to fight, save the patient, they always came first after all, she didn’t care, she hated these people, hated the way they looked at her, the way they talked of her. And now Hank spoke to them as if they were half the man the good doctor was, it was almost too difficult to watch, however Talia stomached it, her look towards them clearly saying how she felt on the matter of their presence here. "It seems you have something I desire. Just as I have something you appear to have been sent to procure" Every part of the mutant nurse screamed out to the doctor, every part save for her voice, they took her only true link to the world and stole away her voice, they forced her to open her mouth and show the fangs inside. She hated them… how dare they hold McCoy ransom like this, how dare they use her and their patient as bargaining tokens for their own ends. "Perhaps negotiations are in order" Negotiations? Talia loathed these people getting even an inch of what they wanted, and using her to get it, she wanted to rip into them as effortlessly as Hank seemed able to do… till herself and Jinlo were herded out here for show and tell in any case.

"Perhaps they are," One of the youths announced a little too cocky for it to bode well. He looked about Riley’s age, the same full of a sense of authority and righteousness, the helmet worn was pulled off, his gun hung off his shoulder… Strange how strongly he believed this to be a demon of some kind and yet trusted in the loyalty between McCoy and the girls that he would be so arrogant in his faith of control over the man-monster. "Here’s the conditions," He stated, his finger resting once again on the trigger of his weapon, "Get in the room there, or they die along with all the rest of your clan that will to be caught," Walsh would be making her way here soon, minutes to an hour it didn’t matter, they had to have the room ready for whenever she arrived. A young woman, dressed from head to toe in armour, almost impossible to tell the gender in a brief and passing glance save for the hight and slender build.

"But first you are to put these on, once inside the room we’ll release these two from the area, we have too much to do to babysit," The young man motioned to the woman, who moved without hesitation towards Hank despite his earlier uproar, three other men that lurked in a group behind Hank however seemed uneasy and their weapons trained steadily on the older mutant. One of the discarded bodies wept a pool of blood from where he had suffered wounds, the man groaned unhappily in protest as he was removed effectively fast, yet the streak of blood ignored almost ignorantly as they walked through it and seemed unfazed by the sticky residue.

Talia didn’t like it. He could see that all too clearly. And to be honest, if she had been the only one involved, trained as she was in combat with or without her powers then he might still have fought. He might have shown these toy soldiers what a real battle was like. But that wasn’t the case.

Jinlo was here. A girl already traumatised and to whom he had promised both a new beginning and a safe place to heal. At the time he had been so sure he could deliver them but now….. Suddenly their innermost sanctuary had been invaded, even med lab, where lives were supposed to be saved rather than taken, violated by these overconfident intruders. And all he could do now was to try to get her out of this safely. No matter what it cost him.

At least his offer seemed to have been taken seriously «Perhaps they are," the leader of the intruders said, his stance and attitude reminding the doctor of Riley when he had first come to the Institute. Was this another one of Dr Walsh’s protégées? One of the perfect little combatants that Riley would have become if he hadn’t rebelled?

"Here’s the conditions he stated arrogantly. "Get in the room there, or they die along with all the rest of your clan that will to be caught," Hank shook his head a little at his presumption but let the soldier finish what he had to say before stating his own terms. "But first you are to put these on,” The inevitable collar. Hank had presumed that it would be part of any deal though he was far from liking it. “once inside the room we’ll release these two from the area, we have too much to do to babysit,"

“Young man” he said as calmly as if he was addressing a student in his biology class. “ I mentioned negotiations , not ultimatums. So here are my conditions. Firstly.. you will let me treat your comrade over there. You may not care if he lives or dies but I do. I have no intention of letting you turn me into a murderer.

These people had been trained as soldiers but then so in his own way had Hank. He had more than twenty years of combat experience behind him and had led his own troops into battle more times than he cared to remember. All of that showed in his voice, in his bearing, in the yellow eyes which held no trace of fear but rather looked around seeking only to give some reassurance to the young women who found themselves so unexpectedly in jeopardy.

Hank smiled over at them reassuringly as he went on. “Secondly..I will put on your collar and you in return will let Talia and Jinlo walk out of med lab.” When I have seen them go..Hank looked the young man facing him straight in the eyes and smiled then .. and only then .. will I enter the room. But I will enter it without a fight. On that you have my word.

Alone, that was precisely how she wanted to be, right as of now, the countless hours spent by McCoy and his medical staff helping to ease the raven haired patient through the transition and understanding of her newly developed 'gifts'. All of which as of now felt to have been in vain, the forceful attack upon the med lab did nothing more than to drive Jinlo back into her proverbial shell. Wither she were conscious of the fact or not, but her posture had shifted so that she were almost recoiling away from the invaders, retreating behind Talia, though she would have preferred to ease into the doctor's cover, she would have to first cross that path where the armed invaders stood.

Yet all she could do was tremble in fear as she watched the exchange continue between Hank and the group's leader, crystalline tears of fear running the length of her cheeks before free falling the distance from the base of her lower jaw towards the ground, the odd droplets being caught by the soft woolen fabric of the nightgown she had hastily thrown on earlier to keep herself warm, having suspected the alarm to be nothing more than a fire alarm. How wrong her misunderstanding was.

Finding her gaze moving towards the stricken intruder, her eyes took in just what exactly the seldom seen side of McCoy was capable of, well from her own perspective it was the first time she had heard of yet alone witness the furred doctor strike any one. Deep down she was conflicted, uncertain on how she was to regard him, was he nothing more than a beast hiding behind the pretence of a gentle caring man? No she could not let herself think that way. She had grown to trust him over the past week or so, he was just doing what any one would do when they saw that one of their own was in peril, protecting them by what ever means necessary.

Still she was uncertain over what was playing out in front of her, doubt over the credibility of the invader's word, she trusted McCoy, after all he was one of the few to extend a caring hand for her to take hold and pull upon. The weapon wielding figure standing between her and McCoy was someone she was sceptical on believing his word, after all he and his band of armed intruders had shattered the sense of calm that had been raised around her. How could she trust what this man said, what exactly was there to stop him from coaxing McCoy into taking Jinlo and Talia's place, and then have the two females taken out of the room and shot.

"I don't want to go any where" Jinlo spoke, the first words she had spoken since the enslaught of the intruders crashed into her little place of tranquility and calm. Even though her words were heard by all, her gaze and attention was solely focused on McCoy, he was the only person she truely felt safe with, and she did not want to let that sense of safety be taken away from her.

Re: 2.30am - Monday April 1st - The Inner Sanctum...?
"Young man" Few people ever spoke to Marc in a tone such as the one Beast were talking to him with now, and those who had generally the person, or thing didn’t know their place and had to be properly dealt with. There was a sense of power and threat and yet the need for relatively peaceful conversation and it both unnerved and annoyed Agent Daniels. There was a seed of agitation and dislike so easily seen within the youth’s eyes as he lifted his chin slightly, already he was getting irritated of having to talk, though it wasn’t like he felt he was able to take on Hank in any other way, if he thought he could he’d not put up with any of this.. and with that he was losing patience, why did these situations always have to drag, it was so much more easier when the targets were to be destroyed on sight. Discussions could lead to complications, complications usually weren’t in their favour, and the institutes Doctor was hardly going to give up without a fight, be it verbal of physical. Perhaps they were just lucky that he was choosing the verbal side of things more than the latter. "I mentioned negotiations, not ultimatums. So here are my conditions. Firstly.. you will let me treat your comrade over there. You may not care if he lives or dies but I do. I have no intention of letting you turn me into a murderer." It was almost humorous to Marc, who had an edgy hand as Hank made his demand, the nerve of this creature trying to suggest he wasn’t already the monster they all saw him for.

Preparing for any sudden flare of temper, Marc’s hand rested noticeably upon the side arm which remained holstered by his hip, to him this was all some pathetic trickery to try and side blind them, but it wouldn’t work, they knew the dangers these creatures possessed. They had been warned, and they had seen worse, they had seen their comrades killed, some more peacefully then others who were ripped apart and scattered apart. Fear was all part of their life, and they had to swallow it, what the drugs in their system missed, it was their training and their fear of disappointing that kept them in line. Hank was tall, his build powerful as his appearance could be frightful, but he was a target, one to be subdued, one to be captured, and one not to be taken lightly. Perhaps that’s why Agent Daniels was so spiteful towards the seemingly cornered mutant, despite their obvious numbers Hank still attempted to defy them, he still looked at them as if they had little power over him, save for the girls in his care, perhaps Marc could use that to their advantage.

"Secondly..I will put on your collar and you in return will let Talia and Jinlo walk out of med lab. When I have seen them go.. " Quietly the soldier in charge turned his head over towards one of the others, they were the two higher ranks in the room, when split up the other would always lead one group while Marc lead the other. While the other’s face was hidden, the vague movements were more than enough for Marc to understand what his partner thought of these demands. "then .. and only then .. will I enter the room. But I will enter it without a fight. On that you have my word." Returning his gaze to Hank, the anger not seeming to affect the agent’s attitude to a point he was just being rash without thinking. As if working with demons wasn’t vile enough, now Danie’s had to figure a way of making some sort of leeway with this creature. Just as he was about to reply, one of the girls interrupted, surprising the Initiative’s soldier with her refusal to leave. "I don't want to go any where"" Now how did this effect the beasts ‘negotiations’? No matter.. they didn’t have time for this. Though, if Marc hadn’t known what this girl really was, then he might have felt sorry for her, he might have wanted to protect her from all the demons and monsters around her. That’s what they were supposed to do after all, but if she were one of them... no matter how human she looked, no matter how pretty or scared she seemed, this girl was just as monstrous on the inside as the other two were on the outside.

"She’s smarter then you are," The young man stated with a cool tone, as if some part of him was trying to speak to a person and not the monster he saw, and yet.... he hated these abominations. It was like something coded into him, burned into his psyche like a scar upon ones flesh. Though the brash statement didn’t come without unease, the last thing he wanted to do was set the beast off, and yet any sign of weakness and his position as leader was lost, his soldiers would not respect him, even if they were fearful, he could not be, or more accurately, could not show that he was anything but calm and in control. "Even if we let them out, there is no guarantee for their safety, this is a warzone, your powers are suppressed, and your flock is frightened and scattering, I will see to your request of letting them leave ‘Med lab’ once the perimeter is secured, perhaps it will give you time to discuss the matter with them," With a look directed towards the individual who Hank had requested to help, Marc motioned for those aiding the soldier to take him off into one of the rooms, though he didn’t keep his eyes off Hank for long at all. "As for him, we will not be seen by just any doctors, we only let those we know and trust near us, I could promise you he would sooner die then be seen by you, only the Professor is allowed to tend to us, and when she arrives shortly she will tend to him, till then we have our own medics," Perhaps not entirely true... they all knew first aid to a degree, some more involved in it than others, but no soldier was sent into the field without knowing how to at least wrap a wound right enough to stop the bleeding and ward off infection. However allowing just anyone near them.. especially their ‘enemy’, it would just cause more hassle and more danger. Besides, Hank couldn’t seriously think they would give up on their own happily over to him? It would put their lives in danger, they would be at his mercy, and if he tried to hold them against their will in order to gain some advantage.... Walsh often said the loss of some to gain control was a sacrifice they all had to accept might occur. That did not mean that Agent Daniels would just throw his people away by taking such risks.

The other high ranking soldier had started to say something, the irritation in his voice only there to hide the apprehension he felt, brief in words that were unrecognizable and almost alien in sounding, though he trailed off, not seeming to like the fact they were even toying with the idea of negotiations instead of just forcing the massive creature into the makeshift cage that the other room was quickly becoming. Marc gave an attempted discreet dismiss to whatever the other had said, "He might not get far, but he could do enough damage between here and there to make it worthwhile, of that I have no doubt... let’s not give him the chance," The leader replied with a knowing smirk, intentionally speaking in English to allow Beast to hear what he had to say, "I would not only offer to let the girls leave here once the halls are cleared, but I will even insist you be permitted to see any of your wounded and tend to them, under lock and watch in a secured room of course, only if you do not resist us," This is where Marc looked more like the leader he was supposed to be, instead of the cocky teen he really was, but who he was, or more to the point, who he had been turned into, was not supposed to affect his leadership, and while the position was still only his for the last few semesters, he would prove he was the right choice, he would not disappoint Walsh as her last assistant had.

Re: 2.30am - Monday April 1st - The Inner Sanctum...?
They seemed so sure of themselves. These boy soldiers who faced him! Sure not only of the superiority of their weapons but also of the superiority of their genes. Were they really briefed though on what they might be facing in the institute? Hank doubted it . Because if they thought that by taking away their powers they were going to reduce the students to the status of sheep, lost and confused, waiting to be herded towards whatever fate awaited them then they were sadly mistaken.

Logan had trained these students to survive with or without their abilities. Scott had drummed the basics of tactics into even the most stubborn of heads. And as for Hank.. His contribution had perhaps been more subtle and mostly delivered out of the classroom. Though that made it no less important! The ability to like who and what you were, however bizarre that might have seemed. The knowledge that all life was sacred! And that meant yours as well as anyone else’s.

So that they would fight tooth and nail wasn’t an issue as far as the doctor was concerned. He would have been doing just that himself if the hostages weren’t in the picture. To be honest the instinct for survival was all too awake in the blue feline. Indeed the two sides of his nature were in conflict, the animal instincts telling him to confront these intruders who had been foolish enough to invade his territory, while his reason urged him to put the girls safety before his own as he had done so often in the past. As any good doctor should! And for the moment reason was winning. Though he had made sure they all knew that could change in the blink of an eye.

Which was why his words were being treated with some sort of consideration! The assailants could so easily have laughed in his face. After all they did seem to have all the cards. But then again, although they held guns he had proved that he himself wasn’t exactly unarmed. He had strength and speed and claws, all of which he knew how to use to best effect. And that was what made them pause and think about his offer.

In the end though hey weren’t the ones who answered him. "I don't want to go any where"" Jinlo told him suddenly, her distress all too apparent , the fear in her eyes calling forth a look of reassurance from the doctor. How terrifying this situation must be for her, especially given all that she had gone through before. And yet, despite that, none of these soldiers lay dead at her feet. Her unpredictable powers hadn’t claimed another life. That was a victory she should have been proud of. One that these invaders would never know anything about, but which Hank recognised and was immensely glad of!

Hard as it was to admit, Jinlo would probably have survived whatever these soldiers had in mind for her better than she would have handled another death on her conscience. As it was, if things worked out then she wouldn’t have to endure anything. She and Talia would walk free and unharmed from med lab. Provided the young commander was prepared to be reasonable that was.

He didn’t like Hank, you could see that in his eyes, though the doctor didn’t take it personally. To do what he was doing you would have to hate mutants in general. Or have been taught to fear them at any rate. "She’s smarter then you are," the blond soldier told him coldly. "Even if we let them out, there is no guarantee for their safety, this is a warzone, your powers are suppressed, and your flock is frightened and scattering, I will see to your request of letting them leave ‘Med lab’ once the perimeter is secured, perhaps it will give you time to discuss the matter with them,"

Ahh so he was willing to negotiate then, was he? Hank didn’t let his relief show in his face but that didn’t mean he felt it any the less deeply. It was true that there were still things to be worked out but the basic deal seemed to be taking shape. His cooperation for their safety! If not for the safety of their comrade in arms. It was stupid of course to let the wounded man bleed when they had a perfectly good doctor on hand, but Hank hadn’t really expected them to give him leave to treat the patient. Not when they saw him as a monster.

So Hank held his tongue as they moved the injured youth into one of the side rooms. He kept quiet too when the inevitable protest came from one of the other commanders, to be answered and quashed by the blond in front of him. It was always interesting to see how rank didn’t always confer absolute authority, even amongst these trained combatants, for whatever their respective military grades if was clear who was effectively in change of this unit. And as if to underline it the negotiations not only continued they progressed.

"I would not only offer to let the girls leave here once the halls are cleared,” he told the doctor” but I will even insist you be permitted to see any of your wounded and tend to them, under lock and watch in a secured room of course, only if you do not resist us," It was more than he had hoped for, though the price for obtaining it was still high. But then he had been willing to pay it for less.

“You see, Jinlo? he said gently. “Everything is going to be fine. These people have no interest in hurting you.” He added reassuringly“ If they had they would have done it when they first came into med lab. You are only menaced here because of me and that problem will soon be solved. I will stay here to look after any of the other students who might need my assistance. And you and Talia will go to safety. We have this young mans word for that” Hank said looking Marc in the eye solemnly.” Don’t we, soldier?”

Not caring for the soldier's affirmation of McCoy's reassurance, Jinlo drew herself closer to the one person who she had grown to know to be the only one she felt safe around with, her hands gingerly and lightly taking hold of his forearm, her fingers recoiling slightly from the soft tickling sensation of the numerous fine fibres of blue fur. With a light tug of his arm Jinlo hinted for him to lower his stature slightly so that she could directly speak to his ear. "But Where do we go?" She asked softly, her eyes narrowing as she regarded the soldiers with a degree of suspicion.

"He might want to use us to lead him to the others" She added, her soft voice perhaps nothing greater than a whisper as her gaze shifted away from the soldier and towards the friendlier face of McCoy. Her mind was looking for the slightest reason for which she could negate what arrangement Hank had bartered for her own freedom, just so that she could remain safe at his side. After all the Medlab was her home, well for the time being it was, it was at most familar ground to her, she knew where everything was around her.

But yet she fought with herself over how potentially selfish she was being, Hank had negotiated the freedom of two people within the room, her and Talia, she couldn't jeopardise Talia's freedom just because she was too frightened to step any further beyond the medlab.

Quietly she remained standing at the doctor's side, her gaze studying the soldiers through almost unnatural icey blue eyes, the hue of which was far to vivid and vibrant to be regarded as a natural eye colour, yet for her it was for she was born with her unique intense eye colour. Whither it were an early sign of her possessing the x-gene or that she was fortunate enough to be born with eyes that always demanded a second glance.

As she continued to assess the soldier standing before her and Hank, her mind continued to travel over what was to take place, should this soldier allow the two to leave the Medlab unharmed, not only as to where they would both make their move to, but what are they to do for money and alterior means of being able to fend for themselves within a wide open world.

Lord knows that although they have an easy means of leaving the institute being presented to them, greater troubles lay ahead beyond the risk of the soldiers that were tearing their way through the building, the like of anti mutant exstreamists, hate mongers and just simple good for nothing thugs laybeyond the very outer fence of the institute's campus grounds. But yet there were others who were perhaps handed the very same play of fate, and were able to escape the numerous buildings unharmed, there may be a slight chance that both Talia and herself would be able to join.

OOC: Sorry its short, work is killing all aspirations to post these days

"You see, Jinlo?" The mutant beast that passed as this schools doctor spoke, "Everything is going to be fine. These people have no interest in hurting you." It was like watching a documentary, seeing Hank interact with the girl was peculiar, though at the same time the sense of paranoia in regards to the mutants putting on a face. Marc had doubts that this thing actually cared at all, if he acted like a monster they were more likely to use him as target practice. "If they had they would have done it when they first came into med lab. You are only menaced here because of me and that problem will soon be solved. I will stay here to look after any of the other students who might need my assistance. And you and Talia will go to safety. We have this young mans word for that" To be honest, Marc didn’t give much of a reply, staring at the young woman as she moved towards the Doctor as he added. "Don’t we, soldier?" She was actually touching him, and for that Marc wasn’t sure to be in awe or repulsed, but then again, despite what she looked like, she wasn’t human, and they all had to remember that. The girl started whispering, words that only snippets could barely be made out and for that Marc lost interest and found himself eyeing the room, making sure everything that needed to be removed was.

"If you all could step back against the wall of the room, we’re going to have you sit patiently for a bit while the other rooms are set up, once they’re finished, you’ll be moved into one of them," A hand motioned for guards to keep an eye on Hank and the two woman, "I want this area prepped for the Professor!" The order was yelled at even though the various soldiers had already began trying to organize things, the only ones not doing anything were the members aiming their guns at the potential threat that McCoy could cause. "And make it known, I want nothing through those doors that isn’t human unless it has direct orders from the Professor to be here, do you hear me? Move, move, move!" A hand raised as something came over his ear piece, "Alright… we have parcels incoming, ETA, ten minutes at the most," Three guards were all that remained for the moment, each one aiming their weapon at each of the three individuals, allowing Marc to organize the others as well as hover around to make sure the hostages didn’t get out of control.

"Oh, doctor, I might ask you a favour, where are your keys for the area?" A hand motioned around to the draws and locked cupboards and likely they keys weren't just laying around in open view with ease of access, generally they weren't anyway, in a normal medical area. If they would be handed over or not, Marc had no idea, but it was always worth asking, there was no telling what a hostage would do, some became very helpful, others just too much of an annoyance to put up with.
