A Special Night out at the Dying Star
While walking down the school halls Max had called his driver, who had arrived at the school after only five or ten minutes of waiting around in the front hall. Everyone seemed to be both giving Paige attention, and get keeping their distance since they could tell she was uncomfortable or nervous, settling for giving her smiles and involving her in their conversations without her even needing to say anything. The black limo had light cream soft leather seats and interior, there was champainge and soft drinks store in a cooler draw under the back seats. Lara had grabbed a soft drink, there was a phone on both sides of the limo, Max sat between Paige and Lara while Tony, Mark and Hannah sat together on the seats facing them. The entire trip there was always a part of Max's body touching Paige, even if it was just his shoulder and side of his body sitting against her, his hand eventually taking hers after Hannah commented on the hoping they didn't have to wait outside for long and Max patted Paige's hand sayng she was smart enough to wear something warm. Lara giggled, Max's fingers wrapping about her hand and holding it until they arrived, helping her out of the limo once they arrived.
The group moved over to the entrance and even though there was a group of people lined waiting they had been called to the head of the line with a wave of the bouncers arm. After all, there was always problems if Max was kept waiting, so they'd have him called ahead before he had the chance to complain. Max himself had nothing to do with this, though he has noticed the obvious special treatement, his father had demanded his son and friends be taken care of if the club wished to continue having good relations with the Chadstone family and their wealthy donations.
With a warm smile the group was permitted into the nightclub, the music was loud and there was a young girl singing, she had a nice voice and was singing a song about wanting to find the one that she dreams of at nights. The group moved over towards the tables, Max's hand remaining holding onto Paige's so she didn't get seperated from them in the mass of people that hovered about the bar and moved from the dance floor to the tables constantly. Once at a table that was beside the window, giving more of a roomy feel to the crowded area, and the sound a little quieter so you didn't have to yell too badly to be heard. Leaning over towards Paige's ear, Max asked her what she wanted to drink or eat, his hand moving over to rest on her shoulder to help pull her a little closer to his lips.
Paige had been impressed by the limo, she'd never been in one before but it was bigger inside than it had looked from the outside. Her eyes kept moving around the interior, soaking up all there was to see, watching one of the girls as she pulled a drink from the cooler. Her gaze moved out of the window to look at the world outside through the tinted glass of the limo.
She could feel his shoulder brushing against hers, or his side, since he was sitting right up against her, she turned bright red however when he took hold of her hand. Did that mean he liked her? She heard one of the girls giggling as his fingers wrapped around hers, she didn't really make much of a move to hold his hand in return but she didn't move away from his touch.
He helped her out of the limo, she was quite amazed when she heard Max being called to the front of the rather long queue ... how comes he was getting all this special treatment. His world must be really nice, what with limo's expensive watches and quick entery into night clubs.
His hand was still in hers as he guided her through the packed nightclub. She wasn't sure she liked it here, there were too many people and it was far too noisey, the din seemed to hurt her ears. She looked up at the girl who was singing but her eyes quickly returned to the floor so she could avoid tripping over people's feet and legs as they danced and moved around. Paige was glad Max and the others were here with her, it was all very intimidating.
She found herself overly glad when they reached a rather secluded table away from all the noise. The others sat down and she coppied them, her eyes rather distracted by all the lights, people and other unfamiliar things. She wasn't sure whether or not she liked it here or not, she wasn't used to having so many people around her.
Max leaned over to ask her if she wanted anything to eat or drink, for a moment she hesitated. Would it be rude to say no after he'd offered but on the other hands she didn't want to make him feel as if she was turning down his offer.
'Errrr can I have a water please.' She wasn't really sure what they'd sell at places like this, did they even allow you to have water. She was feeling far to nervous to eat anything, her attention kept wandering over to the people dancing, wondering how people could move their hips like that.
Cat: Do you think I should go back?
Nina: Cat.. he's only a man.
Cat: You don't understand...
Re: A Special Night out at the Dying Star
There was a smile as a reply to her statement, Hanna's comment slipped unheard between her lips at the thought of someone ordering a water in this place. Lara hopped up and signalled with a wave of her finger that Water wasn't served here, then gave a wink as she moved off into the crowd to grab a collection of drinks for them. It wasn't too long before she returned, placing down a selection of drinks, there was more then just enough for one each, more like three or four for each of them.
"Fruit drinks! You'll love'em!" Of course there was vodka in them but they where very popular and tasted very nice. So it was the best way to get people like Paige to drink, after all, they never really considered fruit drinks to be bad, some of them would refuse, but that wouldn't last long once they started dancing, they'd get thirsty and need to drink and most of the time they'd like it and keep drinking and since they'd dance more it would just be another excuse to open another bottel.
"Here!" Max took the top of one of them, it was clear, bubbly like lemonad, but had a sweet taste of strawberries, Lara's favorite so she normally got a few more then the other fruit flavors. "Drink, or we can go dancing first and drink and chat later, which ever you want, we're not fussed." His voice called to her over the music, his hand momentarily on her thigh as he had leaned over towards her to speak before pulling away his hand and taking up one of the drinks and raising it to his lips, the others where already drinking and chatting amongst themselves since Max had been talking with Paige.
Re: A Special Night out at the Dying Star
She watched who she suspected to be Lara wiggling her finger in Paige's direction ... did that mean she wasn't allowed water. She wasn't allowed to drink alcohol though was she? So in that case ... what else was there for her to have to drink?
Paige watched as the girl winked at her and moved off towards the bar. She really hoped she wouldn't come back with something Paige couldn't drink. No doubt she'd already broken ten house rules just by being here, if her parents ever found out she'd been here ... she shivered slightly. In truth they'd just yell and then tell her how dissapointed they were about what she'd done ... and they'd probably forbid her from going anywhere near Max.
"Fruit drinks! You'll love'em!" The girl had returned with a tray full of drinks, Paige looked at them, glad at least that they wern't alcholoic. She could drink fruit drinks ... they were allowed right. Her eyes wandered across to Max as he began to talk as he grabbed hold of one of the drinks.
"Here!" Max was opening one of the bottles"Drink, or we can go dancing first and drink and chat later, which ever you want, we're not fussed." She haistily took a bottle he held out towards her, she didn't really have the confidence to dance. She blushed, her eyes flicking over to his hand then lifting to his eyes. She smiled nervously as he pulled his hand away.
Cat: Do you think I should go back?
Nina: Cat.. he's only a man.
Cat: You don't understand...

ooc: I have to go for the night, sorry, but I will grab the post in a few hours and reply in the morning!
----------
Watching as she drinked, Max grinned slightly every time he glanced over in her direction, Lara and the others got up to their feet, motioning for Max to follow them. They moved off into the crowd but Max lingered in his seat for a moment, but then he took her hand and lifted her up to her feet, but he didn't make a move to head over into the crowd. Instead his strong arms held her closely against him, remaining in the quieter section beside their table as his body began to move slowly, his hands on her hips guiding her movements along with him.
"You have a very nice body." There was a short pause before he added "You should show it off more, I bet you could get anyone you want if you tried." He had to be careful, not just by saying something to scare her off, but for the fact he was easily excited. The last thing he would want is to get drunk and then worked up and try and kiss her or hold her and have her back away from him. One of his other hands move bup behind her head, his fingers lightly tracing down the style she had in her hair. She was very quiet, not seemng to react to his advances and yet not seeming to pull away. The hand seemed to rest on the back of her head, holding her gently against his shoulder, the excitement of having a girl so close to him was causing his heart to race, which was odd since after all the ones he has been with you'd think he wouldn't find it as exciting any more.
But he did, he loved meeting new girls, and if he was able to remain friends with them after his night with them then he was all the more pleased. Max truly had no idea how much he could hurt them, he didn't understand why they'd get so upset sometimes, they wouldn't complain while he was pleasing them, only after. He would rather remain friends with them, after all, they did it once with him, there was always a chance they would do it again on a night he was unable to find someone else new to keep him company. No one has ever kicked up too big a fuss with him, the teachers had never had anyone go up to them and complain, after all, they girls had concented to sleeping with him, he never forced any of them to do anything they didn't want.. maybe twist a few things to make them more comfortable, a little white lie here and there.
Keeping their movements slow, trying to keep her as comfortable as possble, she seemed very timid to his touch, which told him she had very little experience with men, if any at all. Which wasn't very common with the girls Max spent a lot of time with, most of them would get his attention somehow, with a smile or another form of movement to get him to notice them. But Paige had gotten his attention because of the homework assignment he had to ask her to do for him. The fact she was so quiet and shy was very cute, but it was a great disadvantage for when you want to socialize, it made him want to sleep with her just so she could feel what it was like to have someone show her attention, she seemed too eager to just shy away from it all.
Max may be a bully, he may have a temper and act nasty to others often, but when he slept with girls it wasn't with any malicious thoughts of hurting them. He loved how they'd get all happy when he'd spoil them, he loved their little smiles and how they'd look at him shyly when he got too close. He loved the first kiss, and then the second kiss, he loved the way they'd grew more confident with each one and then when things got more serious he loved how shy they'd get, yet at the same time how much they enjoyed every touch, every new or rarely felt sensation. Every girl was similar, even those who where more experienced, sure they where at different levels, but the first kiss and the first touch was always so exciting. But the longer he was with them the less they seemed to get excited by his kisses, his touch, they would grow used to it, everyone always does, whether they want to or not, it will happen.
Re: A Special Night out at the Dying Star
To Paige the drink tasted a little funny, that would be the vodka but because she'd never tasted vodka before she put it down to one of the fruit ingredients. She put the drink down, looking around as the others got up and moved off, leaving just her and Max by themselves. He took her hand and swiftly pull her to her feet, her eyes staring up at him before they blinked and looked shyly away. Was he going to lead them after the others, her eyes looked for them but they seemed to have been swallowed up by the nightclub and masses of people.
She flintched slightly as his hands settled upon her hips, his body pressing against her smaller one. At first her movements were jerky and akward as his hands guided her. But after a few long minutes she seemed to grow more accustomed to the movement. They were dancing wern't they, her eyes tipped upwards to look at him. He seemed very tall all of a sudden, her back were to the crowds so she couldn't see two figures dancing near by.
One was Cat who seemed to have managed to get into the club with her cat boots on, her hair was hanging loosley off her shoulders. She was dressed in Jeans and a small white top which was fanncy enough to get into a club but simple enough to wear for everyday wear. The other figure was looking over at Max, she had dark red hair, and was wearing black trousers, rather like the ones Paige was wearing but she had a leather top on. She had boots on with pointed toes and long heels, she was almost as tall as Max when she was wearing them. She looked over at Max and winked before she went back to her dancing, making sure to say in his sight.
"You have a very nice body." Paige's cheks flushed red at the compliment, he was talking to her in a way no man had done before. "You should show it off more, I bet you could get anyone you want if you tried." Was that his way of telling her he wanted her? This was all so strange and new to her and she wasn't quite sure what to make of it all. Her eyes lowered from his again and looked at somewhere around his chest area. He smelled nice, she had the sudden urge to pull him a little closer.
She felt one of his hands running down the back of her french platt. Very timidly she lifted on of her hands and placed it upon his upper arm, she could feel his muscles through his shirt. She felt stupid, not really knowing what to do with her hands or her body.
Cat: Do you think I should go back?
Nina: Cat.. he's only a man.
Cat: You don't understand...
Re: A Special Night out at the Dying Star
It appeared she was slowly getting used to him, her eyes constently dropping away from his, sometimes his own eyes would glance away to look for is friends, but they where always quick glances since some girls thought he was bored and wasn't paying them attention. Paige was just starting to get cozy with him and he wasn't going to ruin that now.. his eyes struggled to remain focused down on her, one of his glances caught sight however of the girl he had met a few months ago in the kitchen. She was very attractive, but her personality wasn't, Max may have a thing with girls, but rude little brats aren't his taste. If they weren't pleasent to be with that Max didn't hover about them, he may do the wrong thing by using their bodies as he does, but he is being honest that he likes the girl, he is fond of her in some way and does want to be her friend.
It was a wonder that Riley had become so obsessed with the little girl, he could understand from the point of view that she would be a nice body to sleep with, but personality wise Max couldn't see any similarities between her and Riley. It would have been thought Riley would have hooked up with some super sweet, shy and cute little book worm.. like Paige. The red head seemed to be giving Max an occasional glance, which wasn't helping him since he was trying not to get keen on contact, but there was something about the way she was glancing at him that interested him. If he hadn't had Paige in his arms he most likely would have gone over to her even if the Hell-Cat was there.
"Hey Paige," Max looked down at her, a little smile creeping onto his lips which seemed to hover closely towards her own as he talked with her. Partly so she could hear his words, partly because there was a strong desire to begin seducing her, showing her what it's like to have the touch of a man, even if it was only for a day or two. "I hope you don't feel uncomfortable.. me dragging you out here I mean, but thanks for coming anyway, I'm having a nice time with you." Even if they haven't done much, it's seemed very relaxed, a lot of girls had the habit of rushing about, and although that can be fun sometimes, it was nice to have a slow and quiet evening for a change.
Re: A Special Night out at the Dying Star
Paige couldn't see Max looking over the top of her head across at Jess since she was staring ahead at his chest. However Jess could see his eyes wandering in her direction, the corner of her lips tugged up slightly into a smile as their gazes met. Her subtle flirting was interupted by Cat who tugged slightly at her arm, Jess looked down at the smaller girl a bit annoyed by the fact that Cat had interupted her.
'What?!' Her voice held a note of annoyance but the noise of the music drowned it out. The red head glanced back over at Max, she didn't really have any reserves about having sex with men, she'd never had the option Cat and Paige had about saving themselves for one man. She'd been raped at the age of fifteen, it made her act slightly impatient towards others who seemed to guard their viginity as if it was everything. Her hand lifted almsot instinctivley to the slight bump in her nose where it had healed after her mothers boyfriend had hit her and then pinned her down.
'I need a drink.' Cat said doing a drinking motion with her hand incase Jess couldn't hear what she was saying. The taller girl nodded at Cat and followed her off the dance floor, she looked back through the crowds of people at Max and flashed him a little smile. She enjoyed lying with men, it felt good and the more experienced the better, Max by the way he acted seemed as if he was well aware of the ins and outs of a womans body. She didn't understand what he could possibly see in that small girls scrawny body.
It only took them a few minutes to reach the bar, Cat slumped into an empty seat. She hadn't really wanted to come out here but after the movie Jess had nagged her untill she agreed. She couldn't help thinking how she should be back with Riley right now .... playing with him. She tucked some loose hair behind her ear as one of the lanky boys behind the bar passed her across her southern comfort and coke. Jess stood at the bar tapping her heel and looking like she wanted to get back out on the dance floor.
'I should go home soon.' Cat had to raise her voice above the dinn, which wasn't helping her throat at all. There was a niggling pain in the back of her throat for a moment but she took a mouthful of her drink and it seemed to go away. It never crossed her mind that drink might be on the list of things she wasn't supposed to have. 'Riley will be getting worried I told him I wouldn't stay out late.'
'Just another half an hour please Cat.' Jess put on an upset face, as if she'd be really devistated if Cat went, she was already finding out Cat could be easily manipulated. She wanted to get to know that boy, she'd seen the girl he was with and she wasn't very attractive. Maybe if he thought somone better looking was after him she'd have more of a chance with him.
Cat finnished the rest of her drink and nodded in reply to Jess. She didn't really want to spend much more time here but at the same time Jess had been so nice to her today and over the past few days and it was nice to think she still had a friend after Dawn had yelled at her. She'd consent to stay just a little longer but it was getting late and she wanted to be able to spend some time with Riley today.
"Hey Paige," Her plain litle face lifted to look up at him, his face and lips seemed very close to hers, she blushed and looked away shyly before looking back at him again. "I hope you don't feel uncomfortable.. me dragging you out here I mean, but thanks for coming anyway, I'm having a nice time with you." She smiled nervously, she wasn't really very comfortable here but she was kind of enjoying herself.
'Thanks I'm ... I'm having fun.' She tried to lift her small voice over the noise but it was possible he'd have to lip read if he wanted to know what she was saying. His arms seemed to pull her a little closer against his body. Her other arm nervously raised to hold onto his other upper arm, this wasn't so bad was it? She could feel something like hot flushes run through her because she was so close to him.
Cat: Do you think I should go back?
Nina: Cat.. he's only a man.
Cat: You don't understand...
Re: A Special Night out at the Dying Star
When it had become obvious that Jess was more then just casting him smiles and sweet looks, almost trying to drag his attention away from Paige and focus solely on her, Max had gently pulled the bookworm right up against his body. There where two reasons for this, one; Max really didn't want Paige to see his eyes being drawn over towards Jess, and two; the fact someone was flirting with him was starting to make him eager for a womans touch. Unfortunatly, Paige wasn't one for touching just now, and with a quick glance Max saw Catherine tugging Jess off towards the bar, which was good in a way since it was removing his distraction, yet bad in the fact he was enjoying it at the same time.
Reaching out for another bottle of his drink with one hand, keeping her body against his even as the rim of the glass was against his lips. When he pulled it again he decided this wasn't going to satisfy him for the night, only so much fruty drinks one guy can handle and he's handled far more then enough over the past week. When he put the bottle down, he glanced back at Paige, the free hand moving to rest a finger beneath her chin to guide her eyes to look up at him and not have her looking away.
"I might go get another drink." As he spoke his finger traced very lightly from her chin, slowly down her neck, the tip of his finger tracing a little circle on her front just below her neck and then moving back up gently to her rest under her chin once more. "You'll warn me if I do something that you don't like, right?" There was a small little smile on his face as his finger rose to lightly touch her lips for a short moment before Lara arrived back with Hannah, both laughing still after hearing what they are sure was one of the worst pick up lines ever. "..I better get that drink, I did say we wouldn't keep you out for too long." Slipping his hand and body away from the younger girl, Max glanced back as he moved over towards the crowd, soon disappearing into the mass of people as he approached the bar.
"Now isn't this interesting.." Max managed to get himself standing beside Catherine, his body turned to face the two girls "what would poor depressed Riley do if he discovered I saw his runaway having drinks in a bar people go to either dance with their dates, or get new dates to dance with." There was a slight emphasis on his words 'dance' as if he was using it but meaning something else, after all, most people do come here to pick up and normally get together later for some late night fun somewhere more private. "I can only hope it is something absolutly terrible, but I am ashamed to say my dear..." He placed his hand over his chest as he acted a little dramatically while talking "..not even after all this time and punishments have I brought upon him such pain as what you have done, for that, I am in awe of you." He grinned as his hand scooped up a drink the barman had placed for him even though Max had not ordered one, and by the looks wasn't being ask to pay either "If only you had better taste in men, and ones that are not brain damaged in so many ways.." Max attentions immidiatly shifted to Jess and he moved away from beside Cat, making him unable to really hear anything she says if she even replied to his comments. Now Jess was betweent the two, he leaned on the bar a little and glanced over at Cat as another thought crossed his mind, he wasn't afraid to chat with them since unless Paige walked over here she was too short to see over the crowed of people and besides, he could always just say they are school kids like Lara and Hannah.
"Hey, we where do an explination on our powers once, and I noticed Riley didn't take part in show and tell, made me kinda curious.. what exactly are Finnickin's powers?" Max was not one who takes humans in the school lightly, even if Riley is stronger then most people, if he is not a mutant then he has no right in the school for gifted.. as far as Max is concerned anyway. "It just occured to us that no one is really sure what power he is gifted with, some are saying.. he hasn't got any, unless it's so pathetic he doesn't use it.. which I doubt." Even pathetic powers are needed to be used, Max didn't need another excuse to hate Riley, but if he was human, then that would only make the hate worse.. and dangerous. "You where around when he was still talking, perhapes he mentioned something to you about his powers, or lack of powers?" It was obvious Max convinced he didn't have any powers, that he was human, but that's because Max is very paranoid about people who don't use their powers for such a long span of time during the time he has known them and always assumes they are humans until they prove him otherwise.
Re: A Special Night out at the Dying Star
There was a muffled squeaky noise in the back of her throat as Max tugged her against his front. She wondered what had made him to that .... she could feel his heart beating against the side of her head. Max's arms were around her, holding her so that even when she tried to inch her body away from his he wouldn't let her. She wished he'd just tell her one way or another about how he felt, before he'd said that he wanted to take her out to say thank you but now he had his arms around her. Did he feel like he had to dance with her like this?
She felt him reach over for his drink, her heart seemed to be doing strange little somersaults in her chest feeling his body pressed so close to hers. This was all happening so fast and she didn't really feel in contol of anything that was or had happened. Was this what it was always like when you were with someone, it was definatley the image that was portrayed to her in films and magazine articles. He seemed to know what he was doing though and she'd folllow his lead
His fingers rested under her chin, her skin seemed to react to his touch tilting her head upwards so she had to look up at him, she wondered for a second if he was about to kiss her. A little thrill ran down her spine at the thought. What was it like to be kissed? to feel someones lips pressing against yours? She didn't really understand how something as simple as that could be pleasurable. It looked really nice when people kissed in films, she was too shy to really watch people in real life kiss and hold each other. Max's movements seemed to slow down somewhat so they were almost just standing with him holding her. Her cheeks blushed at the thought of how close they were, if her bothers had been here they wouldn't have been too pleased with the way Max was holding their smaller, younger sister against him.
"I might go get another drink." His hand was moving down her throat to her chest, seeming to turn in a small circle on her skin before it moved back up again. It was so embaressing him touching her like this but she wasn't going to deny that she liked it. "You'll warn me if I do something that you don't like, right?" He was answered with a rather breathless type of nodd from the young girl as her pale green eyes stared up at him. "..I better get that drink, I did say we wouldn't keep you out for too long." Paige looked rather lost when he pulled his body away from hers, she wasn't sure what he wanted her to do. But a moment later his dissapeared off into the throng of people. She sat down rather nervously at the table and picked up her drink, sipping it again and keeping her eyes focused down on the table in front of her. Paige could hear the other girls still talking, she wondered where the boys had gone. Her eyes moved off in the direction Max had gone but she couldn't see anything but the press of people near to their table.
"Now isn't this interesting.." Cat didn't see him untill he was standing right to one side of her, her expression was rather blank for a moment since she didn't recognise him at first. She'd only seen him a few times and that had been six months ago. "what would poor depressed Riley do if he discovered I saw his runaway having drinks in a bar people go to either dance with their dates, or get new dates to dance with." She frowned and looked away, whoever this was they must be from the school. Riley wasn't depressed, he was just fine, infact judging by what they'd done
"I can only hope it is something absolutly terrible, but I am ashamed to say my dear..." Her dark eyes moved back to him again and it suddenly clicked who he was. "..not even after all this time and punishments have I brought upon him such pain as what you have done, for that, I am in awe of you." ... "If only you had better taste in men, and ones that are not brain damaged in so many ways.." The old Cat might have thumped him for that but she'd learn't some self control in her time away and although she looked like she was seething in anger she managed to stop herself from breaking his own bottle over his head.
'Sorry .... your still upset that I didn't want to go to the dying star with you, you know you really should get over that.' She'd really have liked to have said a much better come back but she wasn't sure what to say. She turned her back upon him and started upon a conversation with Jess. He seemed to switch positions onto Jess' side.
"Hey, we where do an explination on our powers once, and I noticed Riley didn't take part in show and tell, made me kinda curious.. what exactly are Finnickin's powers?" That caught her off guard, what was she supposed to say to that? He didn't actually have any powers, she didn't think she could lye either since Max might ask Riley and if he said something different ... She glowered at him as he continued talking.
'I don't have to listen to this.'Her voice was angry and she glared at him as she was speaking, her eyes moved over to Jess' face. 'I'm going, you coming?' Jess shook her head, if Max hadn't have been over here she might have consented to leave but she'd stay and talk to this new boy. He seemed to have abandoned that scruffy little thing anyway to come over here and talk to her ... well Cat, it sounded like the pair didn't get on.
Cat slithered off the bar chair and stormed off without looking back at either of them, she ignored the chilly night air, too angry to think about what Riley had said before. She searched in her pocket for some spare change, shoving it angrily into the phone and dialing the number Riley had made her memorize. She knew she didn't have enough to pay for a taxi fare home so she didn't really have any other choice than to call him. She'd forgotten however that his car hadn't come with him from Washington. She heard someone pick up the other end and began to talk before he'd had a chance to speak.
'Hi Riley ... Can you come get me please. I'm at the dying star.' Her voice sounded grumpy and more than slightly upset as she thought over what Max had said, she'd remembered to say please though which was unusual for her. She'd picked up her across the shoulder bag and small jacket from the door of the club. There was also a large bag she had with her, she'd been really excited before she'd met Max. She'd been into an electronics store and they'd had an instore display DVD player on sale and she'd just about managed to afford that and Riley's presents since the DVD player had been even cheaper since it had been a display model. It wasn't as nice as the one she'd been planning to have, but she didn't think she'd been able to buy that one anyway since there wasn't a shop around here anywhere that was the same as the one in Washington. She was completley broke now though hence the having to phone Riley, she felt a bit bad however since she'd spent the change she'd had from the taxi she'd taken a few days before and that was supposed to be Riley's money. The jacket was pulled about her even though it was so thin that it didn't really offer her much if any protection from the cold night air, but then she wasn't really thinking about her throat at the moment. She looked up and glowered as a few snowflakes tumbled down from the dark sky. Her throat began to complain at being out in the cold, she coughed slightly but put the back of her sleve over her mouth to muffle the sound. She didn't want Riley starting to worry about her.
'Well.' Jess turned to Max after Cat had stompped off. 'Are you going to buy me a drink.' Her lips lifted in an inviting smile as if telling him she'd make it worth his while if he did. She crossed her long legs, readjusting her leather top, she didn't really have much of a chest but this top defiantley flaunted what she did have. It ended just above her chest and was designed rather like some old age dresses were, with an almost corset like structure which shoved her chest upwards. Tempting men to almost bury their head in her chest, she enjoyed this almost as much as max did, meeting new people, sleeping with them. It gave her an adrenaline rush just over the fact she didn't know anything about the person, she usually went for guys who were a bit brooding and dark.
She'd never take people back to hers though, Luke wouldn't have been impressed and she slept in the same room as her younger brothers and sisters. Occasionally she'd go back to the blokes place, but more than often it would be some tacky motel where the guy would wake up alone in the morning. It all depended what mood she was in and what the guy was like, sometimes she'd just take them round the back of the nightclubs. Let them take her against the wall, there was always a thrill that turned her on about being outside, the chance of being caught. That was when she felt like sex, where after ten minutes they'd both rearrange their clothes and go back into the club and she wouldn't even look at them again. When she was feeling more in the mood she'd let them take her to motels or back to theirs and seduce her properly, she'd stay and lye with them for the rest of the night.
This guy obviously knew Cat so he must be from the school, so he must have his own room and from what he wore and how he acted he seemed well off. If she played her cards right she might be on a good thing here.
Cat: Do you think I should go back?
Nina: Cat.. he's only a man.
Cat: You don't understand...
Re: A Special Night out at the Dying Star'I don't have to listen to this.' The early retort she had given was almost amusing, he had met Hannah and Lara that night... they had a wonderful time back in his room, if she hadn't have been the reason Riley was so devistated the past few months he would have had a total memory wipe of this girls existance. Smiling back at her sweetly, an very malicious and bitterly sweet smile as she glared back at him while speaking.
'I'm going, you coming?' THere was a little smirk on his face as he glanced over towards Jess and then at Cat who stalked off angrily. He loved working people up, not normally girls, but in special cases with people like that he just couldn't help it.
'Hi Riley ... Can you come get me please. I'm at the dying star.' When Riley had picked up the phone he had been standing at the gates waiting for her, Angela was there telling him off for waiting out in the cold but he was stubbornly refusing to listen to her concerns. Riley had started nudging Angela back towards the school so they get to the garage, he was going to ask her to stay where she was so he could pick her up at Salem. But he was glade that she was asking him to pick her up, at least he wasn't going to upset her by asking her to wait where she was. When she had said the dying star though he stopped walking, Angela had continued towards the garage to get her car while Riley turned his back to her and with a little bit of a hurt expression.. She hadn't said she was going to that club.. even Riley knew what went on their between people, so the idea of his girlfriend there without him wasn't very pleasing.
"You didn't meantion.." He trailed off, not wanting to sound as if he was upset or that she wasn't allowed to go anywhere without telling him.. But.. it was nice to tell your boyfriend if you're going clubbing, especially if you where expected back by now. "I mean, I'm sorry, of course you're allowed to go where ever you want.. it's just you said you'd be back earlier and there's been a few attacks going on around the school, the Professor is in a coma as well.." His foot played around in a bit of snow around the tree truck, since it was so cold all day then it would snow one day and a few days later the snow would still be lingering about in areas. "I was just getting worried, with all these attacks on students and the X-men.." He sounded much more relieved and grateful for her call as he continued speaking "Anyway, Angela and I are on our way, we'll be there soon, I love you, bye." Riley would hav rather kept her on the phone the entire time, he also didn't like the cough she had, but there was little he could do short of either telling her not to breath the cold air or head back into the club, and both options where not something Riley was happy about asking, one, she needs to breath to live, two, many single males linger within the walls of that nightclub..
'Well.' Max's eyes turned from the back of Catherine's return form, giving her friend a charming little smile 'Are you going to buy me a drink.' Dropping his gaze to watch the reajustments of her clothing with keen interest, it was very difficult to wonder back over to Paige when he knew if he stayed right here he'd have a person who was obviously able to sleep with him this very night.
"You have no idea how tempting this offer is.." The way his eyes dropped back down to her frame easily showed he was imagining what it would be like to undress her and have his hands and lips over her body. These images in his mind didn't help him in his attempts to keep his body calm, he glanced away to look back at where he came from, but then focused on her again, moving even closer, his hands resting on the bar top on either side of her so she was trapped between his arms. Normally he'd try and figure out if she was mutant or human, he would still sleep with her if she was human, but he wouldn't take her back to his place, no human was stepping foot into his room, he wouldn't pay a cent for a room, all she'd get was a quick please out the back or in the back rooms here that was normally used for storage or meetings. But if that girl from the school knew her he assumed it was a mutant friend from the school as well.
"I'm here with a class buddy you see." He didn't sound too pleased with that, after all, he knew he was about to miss out on something entertaining "But.." He leaned forward even more, a large part of him just wanted to grab her hand and pull her out back, he wasn't used to giving up on a chance like this. "..I would still love to get you that drink.." While he was talking it looked as if he was about to kiss her, moving his lips so close, but when he finished, he looked down at her lips and ever so slowly moved his own over to her ear. "And I look forward to seeing you around the school." When he pulled away, he began snapping his fingers for one of the boys attentions. "Leo!" The boy stared over at Max, who placed his hand on one of Jess's thighs as she sat cross legged on her stool. "See to it that all her purcheses are billed to the Chadstones." Since all the workers have been told not to bill the Chadstone's he was effectivly requesting them to give her everything for free. Max glanced back at Jess, and with a playful wink he turned about and hurried off towards the group he had arrived with, mentally kicking himself for missing a chance to enjoy himself, but also proud a little in the fact he didn't abandon Paige which would have upset her greatly.
By the time he reappeared at the table, he had decided against drinking the drink he had been given, instead he stood beside Paige and dropped it down lightly on the table, motioning to Lara he didn't want the drink, the blonde girl shook her head as well since she was happy with her mixed fruit drinks for tonight. Max's arms reached out for Paige, with a charming little grin he pulled her back up onto her feet and held her against him, that offer from the other girl had entirely knocked down all his self-control, the strong desire he had to be with someone was risking him moving too quickly for someone like Paige. There was something rather playful about him right now as he began to guide her back over towards the dance floor.
"One proper dance before we have to go back?" His hands where holding hers now as they entered the crowd, soon his hands pulled her own up onto his shoulders, his fingers tracing along her arms and down her sides before resting comfortably on her waist, holding her lightly against his body. His eyes closed for a moment as they began to move, he wanted to so much to just hold her against him more firmly, it was so hard sometimes, and he wasn't really used to people being uncomfortable with him being so close. There was a long moment where he held Paige, her head against his chest, but once that moment had passed, a hand moved away from her waist as he stepped back a little his hand could tilt her chin up and he was able to smile down at her. It didn't matter if she was the most prettiest of girls, she was a girl, therefore she was able to please him, his body, his desires, they needed a woman's touch and affection to be happy, looks couldn't do more then please the eyes.
Max had told her if he did anything she didn't like she just had to say so, he would stop, he has had more then just one girl hesitate on him, he never wanted to force them to be with him, if they didn't seem sure they wanted him, then he wouldn't continue on, only if it seemed they where having fun did he continue. She'd let him go as far as she'd let him go, but if he didn't try he'd never know how far that is, what if she wants this, some girls want things but are too shy to ask. Max's lips lowered slowly, hesitating for a short time, she wasn't pulling away, he grinned a little as his eyes dropped down to her lips, his hand moving back down to her waist as his lips pressed lightly on Paige's. Almost instantly Max's kiss deepened, it was a faintly fruity tasting kiss, which Max found amusing, it helped a little to try and get his mind of the screaming urges he had to be with someone... anyone.
There was one good thing about getting out and meeting a lot of woman, he was able to learn all the different ways to please them, he was a wonderful kisser from the first kiss and pleasureable company for the night. If only he understood just how different Paige's idea of being with someone like this was. Max call's it pleasing another, she'd probably consider it an act of love, Max saw no harm in sleeping with friends, new or old, after all, for him it was just another form of entertainment.. He was going out with her and she wasn't going out with him, so even if they did sleep together it meant he was still permitted to sleep with other friends.. in his mind anyway. But if Max is dating someone, he has proved to be trust worthy, sticking only to the one he is dating, but then again, he has never been with one girl for more then two weeks since they normally get bored of each other and split up. Never in his life has he asked a girl to date him, normally the girl asks him and he just says sure, if he finds her boring after a day or two he normally finds a way to split up without any fights.
Outside of the nightclub, Angela had finally arrived in her red car, normally the sleek looking vehicle had the black roof down since she enjoyed the wind in her hair, but during the colder months she had it up to keep herself warm. It was often a suprise for people to see her car since she didn't earn anywhere near enough to buy such a nice looking one, but it helped when you get money from the death of both parents. Hopping out of the drivers passanger side, Riley glanced about quickly as he shut the door, he had his police belt strapped about his waist, but his brown leather jacket hid it from sight, though it wasn't zipped up so there was often a chance that the handle of his black gun could be seen at his hip. It was more then just a precaution since he's left the school, it was also because people where getting attacked, and while other mutants had powers, he didn't, so his weapon was all he had for protection other then hand to hand combat. He opened the back door of the car for her to enter, placing his hand on her back before carefully slipping in beside her, Angela turned about and flashed Cat a grin before checking her side and rare view mirrors.
"Heya Cat, good to see you back again, but Riley, don't think sitting back there means you don't answer my question, I swear, for a 21 year old you don't know how to look after yourself." Riley looked a little upset at that comment, but Angela seemed a little upset herself with him, not angry upset, more concerned upset. "Maybe now that Cat's back you'll get into better eating habits, like starting to eat for a change." There was a moment as she glanced about the street then back at Riley, she had her hair in two platts that rested on the front of her shoulders with thin pale blue hair ties. "I'll pick up something for you, what do you want, pizza? Burgers, Macca's?" Riley seemed a little lost at the word Macca's and Angela corrected herself "MacDonalds." He didn't seem to register that name either and Angela turned back around and placed her hands on the steering wheel. "See Riley, this is why you need to get out more." Looking back at Catherine, Twist her body about more since Catherine was sitting behind her. "Cat, he hasn't eaten all day and it's late and knowing him he'll get distracted on something else before sleeping," Riley stared out of the window since he blushed a little at the thought of what might distract him "We'll pick something to eat and then he can munch on it on the way home before he dies of starvation." If Angela was upset at all with Catherine having run off she was doing a remarkable job of hiding it. Riley frowned a little at how she was fussing over him in front of Catherine, acting as if he wasn't able to take care of himself.. he was just used to being called for meal times and because he doesn't get called he often forgets.
Riley(about Catherine): She's my desert rose, a wondrous soul brought up in a harsh environment
"You didn't mention.." What hadn't she mentioned? She seemed to be having brain lag since though she couldn't think of anything. He sounded concerned, she looked down at her watch, quater past ten .... it wasn't late so it couldn't be that. She didn't think that her late might not be Riley's late, her late was about two in the morning where as his late was a whole lot earlier than that.
"I mean, I'm sorry, of course you're allowed to go where ever you want.. it's just you said you'd be back earlier and there's been a few attacks going on around the school, the Professor is in a coma as well.." He was apologising? Was he upset she went to the Dying Star .... it wasn't like it had been her idea in the first place, Jess had wanted to go there and it had seemed like a good idea at the time. She hoped Riley was alright when he said about attacks, but then surley he'd have told her if there was anything wrong.
"Anyway, Angela and I are on our way, we'll be there soon, I love you, bye." Angela? She didn't really want Angela to come, Dawn had yelled at her and she wasn't too keen on getting in a car with Angela after that. It felt nice when he told her he loved her sicne he'd never told her that before when they'd been on the phone .... mainly because the'd never spoken this way before.
'Ok Cheers Riley ...' There was a little pause. 'I love you too.' She hung up and stepped away from the phone. Cat moved against the wall of the club, pulling her small coat further about her slender form. She wished she'd not been in such a hurry and that she'd stopped to pick up her big coat. Several drunk men staggered out of the club and past her, a couple of them calling out several indecenties at her as they passed her.
"You have no idea how tempting this offer is.." He had to be kidding didn't he .... he was going to go back to that mouse girl. She didn't understand what he saw in her, the fact that she was a challenge didn't even cross her mind. He moved so he had his hands on the bar either side of her, she gave him a coy smile noticing his eyes kept dropping towards her chest. So ok maybe for the moment he was all hung up over that little girl back at his table but she was sure that innocence was only so attractive, in the end he'd find Jess out somehow because men pefere experience.
"I'm here with a class buddy you see."
'So thats what you call her.' She said with a rather snorting laugh. 'She's hardly a conquest to be proud of.' She was a little put out that Max would rather be with that plain small thing than her. It was obvious that she'd have to find someone else to please her tonight, she pouted her bottom lip and looked across at him.
"And I look forward to seeing you around the school."
'Maybe' Her expression said other wise though, if he went looking for her she'd make sure he found her. She was a little happier however when he told the bar tender to put her drinks on a tab.
Paige looked up as Max seemed to appear out of the crowds. She was a little edgy about sitting here in a crowded club without the relative saftey she felt around Max. She was sure he'd protect her if anyone started on her. It was hard for the healing mutant to not feel out of pleace among all these livley people. His arms reached for her as he pulled her up onto her feet and into his arms in one easy movement of his hands. She could feel her heart fluttering nervously against his chest.
"One proper dance before we have to go back?" She was sure she wasn't too good at dancing her hips didn't seem to want to move like those of everyone else. She blushed as he took her hands and guided her out onto the dance floor, her eyes flicked around nervously she really wasn't used to all this attention, especially from a man.
He moved her hands onto his shoulders, her touch wary and light. She let her head rest against his chest, that way she didn't have to look up at him, it wasn't that she didn't want to but she was afraid she'd start blushing more than she was already. She could feel his hands on her hips, they seemed to remain this way to what for her felt like an age before his hand left her waist.
Max stepped back slightly so he could look down at her, there was a small smile upon his face as he did so. There was a second as his lips lowered towards hers when she felt panic shoot through her. The next minute his lips pressed down against hers, she felt a little shiver run though her at the contact. It felt really nice having him steal her first kiss from her. She understood at bit more how nice it was to be with someone. Paige felt a bit like she was floudering as he deepened the kiss, her hands tightened slightly upon his shoulders as he kissed her.
Cat looked up as she heard the engine of a car shut out, her eyes moving over the red vichle. She was relived to see Riley step out, moving quickly over to him, her body gently shivering from the cold as she moved. He guided her into the car before gettin gin next to her. Cat didn't bother with a seat belt but chose instead to leave her things in a pile on the floor of Angelas car and seat herself instead right next to Riley. One of her cold little hands seemed to reach over and take hold of Riley's larger and warmer ones. She snuggled up against him making a slight noise that could have been the beginning of a cough but she wouldn't let her body carry through with the action. He didn't feel very warm because the outside of his leather coat was cold, she'd like to have been snuggled up in bed with him right now instead of out here in Angela's car.
"Heya Cat, good to see you back again, but Riley, don't think sitting back there means you don't answer my question, I swear, for a 21 year old you don't know how to look after yourself." So far Cat had sucessfully managed to avoid looking at Angela or even regestering that she was alive but she couldn't do that anymore.
Her eyes shyly moved over to Angela not really understanding why the girl wasn't yelling at her the way Dawn had done. She didn't really know what to say to her.
"I'll pick up something for you, what do you want, pizza? Burgers, Macca's?" They all sounded nice to Cat even though she was forgetting that Riley had said there were restraints to what she was allowed to eat. It wasn't that Cat was conciously disobaying what she'd been told it was more that she didn't feel she needed to obay them, she had a kind of it'll never happen to be type image. ''Cat, he hasn't eaten all day and it's late and knowing him he'll get distracted on something else before sleeping,"
'Ok An..' She managed to get half way through her setance before her body started coughing. She put the back of her sleve over her mouth again, feeling the bitter taste of blood in her mouth.
Cat: Do you think I should go back?
Nina: Cat.. he's only a man.
Cat: You don't understand...
Re: A Special Night out at the Dying Star
There was a rather proud little smile given to Cat as she had snuggled against him, he liked that, how she cuddled against him, even though there was someone else in the car. He was too shy to try and do something like that incase Catherine didn't like him holding her in front of others and made her embarrassed or upset. After a moment he allowed his eyes to wonder off as they started going on about getting him so food, he wasn't starving, he may be hungry, but starving was stretching it..
'Ok An..' The coughing snatched back his attention quickly, Angela turned about to see what was wrong and then stared at Riley who looked worried as he removed his jacket and wrapped it about Catherine. It made have been cool on the outside, his the heat of his body kept the inside of it nice and warm.
"Relax Riley, it's a cough, you look as if she's dying." Angela pulled the car out of where it was parked and began to drive towards the school while glancing about for something nice to eat. Riley's arms wrapped about Catherine as he leaned her against his side, Riley didn't even think about his gun or consider that it might make Catherine nervous or uncomfortable since it was on the same side as she was.
"No.. it's just Catherine has a bad throat, she wasn't meant to be out really late in the cold.." Pulling up at a red light, Angela peered back at Riley, then grinned a little as she spoke "Catherine, 7-9 is late, 9-11 is really late and 11-1am is very late and anything beyond that is 'extremely late, be out all night'." Riley frowned a little at that, staring out the window as if what she had said was upsetting to him, maybe it was, they always made it seem as if everything he did or thought was different to what ever everyone else did or thought.
"Don't pout Riley, if you don't tell Catherine about these things she won't know, everyone has different views on things.. Like you and your views on sleeping with someone out of marrige, I mean, my god, most guys your ages are-" Riley shifted around and groaned grouchily at the topic brought up "I wasn't making fun of you Riley, I think it's kinda sweet, sheesh, you're too sensitive." Riley's head dropped to the side, lightly hitting the window as he shut his eyes, the thought of being with Catherine now seemed stuck in his head, which wasn't at all nice since it would be extremely embarrassing if his desires for her began to show and since the more he tried to think of other things the more he seemed to focus on his past times with her.
"Are you ok?" Riley turned his attention over towards Catherine as Angela seemed distracted with concentraiting on driving and those others driving around her. "Please don't go out again, not until you're throat's better, at least not at night if you have to go out.." There was a little pause before he added "..And.. you really shouldn't be on your own, not with.." he was so close to saying 'not with the initiative hovering about', but he couldn't say that with Angela around, Catherine had said that no one was allowed to know about his secret life in the underground base. "..all those dangerous people out there." His hand fiddled a little to pull the coat more snuggly about her neck, he leaned over and gave her a quick kiss on her forehead before pulling away rather shyly incase Angela might see.
Riley(about Catherine): She's my desert rose, a wondrous soul brought up in a harsh environment
Re: A Special Night out at the Dying Star
Catherine found herself snuggling down into the warm inside of the coat as he draped it around her shoulders.
‘Relax Riley, it's a cough, you look as if she's dying’ Cat looked over at Angela, peering out from the huge coat Riley had draped over her body. See Angela was right … she wasn’t panicking over the fact that Cat was coughing a bit, she felt better now and she couldn’t see that she might feel better but that didn’t always equal that her throat was a hundred percent better again. She felt his arms wrap around her and pull her close to him so she could share both the comfort of his body and his own warmth.
‘No.. it's just Catherine has a bad throat, she wasn't meant to be out really late in the cold..’ She hadn’t been out that late, she could imagine if she’d turned up at twelve then he’d have grounds to think that. The cinema hadn’t even finished until nine fifteen and they hadn’t been in the Dying Star for that long.
"Catherine, 7-9 is late, 9-11 is really late and 11-1am is very late and anything beyond that is 'extremely late, be out all night'." Cat looked over at her again, she hadn’t thought he might have different ideas to her, she’d just imagined that around ten was early, but then Riley wasn’t used to clubbing she guessed. When clubs only opened at half nine to ten then half ten was an early night, two o’clock when they kicked out this was what she’d call a late night. Her eyes looked across at Riley but he was staring out of the window and she couldn’t see his face. She snuggled her face a little more into his arms glad of his body heat.
"Don't pout Riley, if you don't tell Catherine about these things she won't know, everyone has different views on things.. Like you and your views on sleeping with someone out of marriage, I mean, my god, most guys your ages are-" That made Cat feel bad because it was her fault that he’d gone against what he thought and felt. She squeezed his arm slightly to let him know she was sorry, she’d already apologised for it but she felt like she needed to keep doing it until she’d made it better again, not that she could do now. As he said himself they did what they did and they couldn’t undo that now. And it wasn’t as if he didn’t like sleeping with her was it? She could see what he was feeling in his eyes, the expression on his face, she could feel it in the way he spoke to her when they were love making.
"Are you ok?" She turned her face upwards so she could look him in the eye, she nodded reassuringly, she was fine now she was back here with Riley again, and in his arms, would he still want to be with her like he said he had before or would be just want to go to sleep. He did seem to think that she’d come in really late didn’t he so he might not be in the mood anymore. She’d been looking forwards to being with him as well, she dropped her eyes from his again, nodding her head in reply to his statement as she did so.
"Please don't go out again, not until you're throat's better, at least not at night if you have to go out..” … she wasn’t too keen on where this conversation was going …. He wanted her to stay in the school and not go anywhere? … he’d have to make it worth her while …. Really worth her while. "..And.. you really shouldn't be on your own, not with.." Cat wondered why he was hesitating … with what? She’d forgotten about the initiative but he had an uncomfortable expression about his face that she picked up on. "..all those dangerous people out there." It suddenly struck her that he was probably talking about the initiative. She put her arm around his waist and hugged him closer towards her, feeling something digging into her, she looked down catching sight of the gun he had around his waist. Her eyes flicking back upto his face. He must be worried about the initiative if he was walking around with a gun on him, it somehow made her feel safer though.
'Alright I won't go out.' She didn't sound too pleased about the whole idea
ooc: sorry im not on they r dragging me kicking and screaming off to watch a film at the local flicks I'll get back when I can, some time tomorrow
Cat: Do you think I should go back?
Nina: Cat.. he's only a man.
Cat: You don't understand...
Re: A Special Night out at the Dying Star"Max, hey, up for air for a minute." Lara Appeared by their side but it see,ed to take extreme effort for him to soften the kiss dramatically, his arms still holding her against him before he forced his lips to break away from Paige's and stare at Lara rather flustered for a moment. "Sorry Maxie, but we just got word there's a cerfew on at the school, something's happened to the Professor and all students have been called back." She neglected to mention in front of Paige the gates where locked at 6, the blonde was sure Paige wouldn't like to know she was out of the school against the orders of the acting headmistress, Mrs Summers.
"...Alright." Max stared off towards the bar with extreme disappointment, he was going to be alone tonight, it was already late and that other girl might already have found someone to share the night with. He hated being along, but if they weren't allowed out and he was caught out he'd only get his already stressed parents more stressed up. Maybe he could try and seduce Paige into spending more time with him.. but then she didn't seem comfortable with his kiss, how would she act with him in his bed? He didn't want to go, not yet, not until Paige liked him more so at least he had someone to spend the night with.. Maybe he could find someone quickly before he left.. how would he explain her to Paige then?
"We better get going Paige.." He seemed really down now, normally at this time of night he'd have an idea of who he was sleeping with, he'd have to make a few calls to see if any of his other female friends where free for the night. Taking her hand, they moved off towards the entrance of the nightclub, a few others spreading the news that had recently come from the school. Hannah was outside already, but the two other boys, Tony and Mark had disappeared, both heading off to motels for the night and not hearing the news of the school's cerfew. Hannah had called Max's limo driver while the others where still leaving the nightclub, outside was cold so Max kept Paige near the warmth of the front door, there where two wooden doors into the nightclub, most of the time they had metal built into the doors, one of the doors was closed, and Max had Paige's back against the closed door since it was warmer then the cold stone walls.
"Sorry the night didn't end better.." his fingers traced over her shoulders. he was very close to her, his body almost resting against hers but not quite. He wanted so much for her to just be more comfortable with him, the thought he might force her to sleep with him if he kept pushing himself onto her wasn't a nice thing to think about. He wanted her to want to sleep with him so badly that it almost seemed unfair that she hadn't done this with someone else before, then she wouldn't be so shy about it, or more importantly, he wouldn't feel so bad about taking her into bed when she wasn't sure about things. If he could only help her see what he can do for her, the things he could make her feel, the things she could make him feel, he was almost addicted to the pleasures of being with someone, always needing to be pleased and please another in return.
Once again he leaned forward to kiss her, only the fear of being left alone had driven the eagerness from his kisses, leaving them more soft and gentle, allowing him to give her simple light kisses on the lips. His body leaned closer to her, both shielding off the cold night air and sending a rush of thrill through his body pressed lightly against her, his fingers having found her hands and laced through them so he was holding her hands down by their sides. He liked any form of contact, and if he might not be able to have any tonight then he was longing for anything he could get from Paige, no matter how simple it was.
Re: A Special Night out at the Dying Star"Sorry the night didn't end better.." She was still blushing from having their kiss interupted, why did that girl have to come along just then? She'd never had anyone hold her hand kiss her like that and she was eagre to experience it again. It was a pity that girl had spoilt her first proper kiss. Paige thought the night had gone very well and couldn't understand why he suddenly sounded really down.
'I ... I've had fun.' She smiled slightly. 'I've had a really good night.' She wanted to say more to him, like that she'd enjoyed their kiss. She was still suprised he wanted to kiss her but she wasn't going to argue about it.
His fingers were moving over her shoulders, her eyes remaining on his for a little longer than before as if she were starting to trust him. His lips moved closer to hers, pressing against hers once again but this time there was a difference because she actually returned his kiss even though her own lips were more than hesitant. She felt his hands slip into hers at the same time, holding their hands down at her sides. She felt really safe being here like this with him, with his body touching hers slightly.
Cat: Do you think I should go back?
Nina: Cat.. he's only a man.
Cat: You don't understand...
Re: A Special Night out at the Dying Star
It felt nice to know she at least seemed to understand what he was saying now, at least there was a part of his life she knew, and maybe because she knew of the restrictions he had lived under since he was 13, she understood why he wasn't so knowledgeable about so many things everyone else seems to take for granted. While her arms where about him he suddenly felt very silly for worrying about her so much.. as if her arms holding him meant they where both indestructible. But the instant she got distracted by his weapon Riley was reminded just how vulnerable both of them where.
'Alright I won't go out.' It was easy to tell she wasn't best pleased with his request, he hoped she knew how bad he felt by asking her to do this.. Spending weeks, possibly even months without going outside wasn't anything new to Riley, but he was understanding that many people out here in the free world spend so much of their time outside having fun. With a delighted grin he leaned over, his other hand lightly touching her cheek with the very tips of his fingers as his lips touched hers.
"Riley.." At Angela's curious, yet slightly worried tone of voice, Riley quickly pulled his lips away and awkwardly glanced over at Angela then shyly dropped his eyes. "..You know what, it's stupid, never mind." Trying to shrug off her thoughts, deciding now wouldn't be the best time to talk with him about what she had in her thoughts. In fact, knowing Riley, he'd just get upset and walk off, but maybe if Angela talked with Cat and then she talked with Riley.. he'd listen to her. There was a thought from Riley to ask what was wrong, but for some reason he didn't think he'd like what she'd have to say by the way she was acting.
"I need to go into the bank." Riley's attention was outside at the bank seen a little further up the street, Angela glanced back at him and then looked about to see if there was any food places around here so they could stop for both his money and their food at once, but most of the shops where clothes or electrical stores. When Angela pulled over and parked in front of the bank, Riley gave Catherine another quick kiss before opening the door and getting out. "I'll only be 3 and a half minutes." He assured her before turning about and hurrying off towards the locked doors of the bank.
"And the scary thing is, we've timed him before." The little teasing comment from Angela came as Riley pulled out a special card from his wallet, placing it in the card slot and leaving it there. The card was designed for easy access into highly restricted areas, the card, though it looks exactly similar to a credit card, is in fact a tiny computer system. There is a screen on the top end of the card that remains outside of the card slot, the numbers that appear on the screen are the security access codes for that security lock. As the green numbers all appeared, Riley punched in the codes on the number pad before withdrawing the Access Card and moving into the bank as the doors slide open.
"Ooooh ya.. that looks inconspicuous." Riley didn't do anything like that in front of people normally, only Catherine and Angela really, since Angela seems to drive him everywhere and unlike Dawn and Lisa she didn't ask him questions. The elemental mutant turned about and stared back at Catherine, it felt strange having her back after all this time and all the trouble Dawn went through trying to get Cat's spot on X-Force. "You missed a lot of things, um.. let's see.. well for starters, I dumped Cody, six months and I haven't really dated anyone and the guy still thinks I've run off with a secret lover. Honestly, he's sweet and nice and smart, but you can't be in a relationship with someone if you don't trust them or how they handle themselves with people around them, so yeah.. he's gone." There was a short pause as she thought, turning her eyes to stare through the glass doors of the bank and watching Riley at the ATM, glancing at his watch before focusing on entering his pin code and searching for one of his many accounts.
"I heard you saw Dawn, don't worry about her, she's just a little upset over things, but it was her birthday yesterday, Sean spoiled her and they got a room together, so give it another few days and knowing her she'll forget what's upsetting her." Angela gave a little wave of her hand before adding quickly "Oh and, another thing.." One of her hands fiddled with one of the plats as she gave Riley another quick glance, he was already waiting for his money to finish coming so Angela had to be quick. "I don't know what's wrong with Riley, or why he's declared deceased in Iowa, but the guy obviously misses his family and now it's Christmas time and families are a big part of Christmas," Her eyes flickered over towards Riley as he left the bank and placed his Access Card back into his wallet while heading towards the car. "Riley's a family guy Catherine, he's brought up to believe there is nothing more important then family, you being his girlfriend automatically makes you part of that family so he'll listen to whatever you say to him. The closer to Christmas we get the more time's I see him holding that picture of his parents, a lot of students will stay at the school because we don't have families to spend Christmas with, you two have his parents, so he doesn't belong at the school with the rest of us." Riley opened the door and slumped miserably into the car, shutting the door and seeming lost in his troubled thoughts.
"What's up?" Riley didn't look at Angela as she spoke, he leaned a little towards Catherine, he hadn't been in the cold for long so his skin wasn't cold, but he wasn't really warm either. He had two bundles of hundred dollar bills wrapped up neatly in two elastic bands and sitting on his lap before he reached over into his jackets inside picket and placed one into that pocket and the other into one of his outside pockets. He had fifty $100 notes in both bundles so that gave him $10,000 in cash, but he didn't look very happy about it.
"They removed all the money from one of my accounts and closed it." Riley replied on the money he had stored away to help him when he had to remain safely hidden out of the initiative's view. If he got a job outside of the school it would make it easy for them to find him and get to him, but he had enough money, more then enough money, to never work again and live amazingly well. He needed to know he had his money even if he wasn't able to work, he needed to know he'll always be able to support Catherine no matter what happened to them. He tried so hard to hide his money well, but he still needed an account to be able to access some of it, he had a few with different amounts stored in them.
"Are you serious? How much?" As appalled as Angela was, Riley shrugged a little before he replied, it was one of his smaller accounts, but that didn't bother him, it was the fact there was a chance they'd take away all his money that was worrying him. He probably had over $50,000 in cash hidden in his old room in various places incase of an emergency like this, but it suddenly didn't feel like enough.
"Um," Riley stared at a little piece of paper to read off it "On the 7th of December, $68,243 dollars and 98 cents was emptied from my account at 16:34 in the afternoon." It wasn't fair, that was meant to be spending money for him over the next few years, though knowing Riley's spending habits it would probably last him a lifetime.
"Geeze, that's terrible, better make sure you do something about it tomorrow." What was Riley going to do, sue the Initiative? He doubted it was an error on the banks part, he'd just have to be more careful then he was being, he'd transfer money into a new account, even the initiative had rules and restrictions, he'd have to figure a way to use them to his advantage. There was one good thing, he had placed a fair bit of his money into shares and stocks and investments and all that such, so there was an account hidden somewhere in the world that was forever growing, and since he never uses it then all the money that swells within that account can be used in the emergency that all other accounts have been deleted. It never occurred to Riley that by the end of this very week, the initiative would lose all the power and influence it has gained over the past few decades while in operation.
"Maybe we should skip picking something up, we can just stop by the kitchen on the way to our room, Catherine really needs to have her tablet before it gets too late, she's not meant to lay down for 15 minutes after taking it.." Riley's voice trailed off a little, he didn't like having to remind Catherine she was on medication, his lips pressed lightly on her forehead, he knew he annoyed people easily, or at least that's what it seemed liked with Forrest and Claire who he had lived with. But Catherine had been the only one who had said he makes her angry, and he didn't want to both annoy and anger her. It was alright to be worried though? He only wanted to make sure she was taking care of herself, she was all he had and he didn't want her getting ill or sick or to be hurting..
"Riley, right after someone finds out they lost that amount of money they normally don't worry about getting their girlfriend home to take a tablet she can have at any point in time." Angela grinned rather amused as she shook her head, pulling her car from where it was parked and moving towards the school. Riley frowned a little at that thought, he didn't like that idea, that people would put money over the importance of the ones they love.
"Well people should realize what their real priorities are then." He seemed a little defensive, he didn't like anyone telling him something as silly as money would have more concern then the health of the one he loved.
"Money's important to everyone Riley." You need money to eat, to buy clothes, to live, for entertainment reasons, money was a serious part of everyone's lives. The two of them often got on different ends when it came to money, since Dawn has been upset with Catherine Riley started to avoid Dawn early and during the time he was still speaking he and Angela would sit around and talk, after a while it ended up Angela was speaking and Riley would nod or frown to show his agreement or disagreement with a word or two here and there.
"Do you think we'd have been farmers if money was important to us?" He seemed a little hurt, but Catherine was ill and he didn't want to upset her so he tried not to look as sad as he felt "I mean, think about it, to get something from money, you need to give it away.." His hand reached for Catherine's cheek, giving her a little smile as his finger stroked down it slowly "..but to get something from someone you love, all they need to do is be there for you." Even if all his money was taken away, he'd still have Catherine, and they'd find a way to get more money if they had to, they'd have each other to hold onto when things get tough.. As long as he had her then he could make a wonderful life for himself, all his dreams replied on her, all his little hopes and silent dreams could only become real if she was part of his life. Money can't make a happy family, a comfortable entertained family, sure, but it doesn't bring them closer together.. doesn't make them love each other..

Re: A Special Night out at the Dying Star
He seemed really happy that she'd agreed not to go out anywhere, he'd have to be glad for the both of them since she wasn't best pleased with the plan. What was she going to do around Xavier's all week. She didn't have any ideas other than that this could all be some kind of mix up and whatever it was would be resolved very soon and then she could get back to going out places. She wasn't used to being kept inside all the time and not being allowed her freedom. But at the same time she didn't want to cause Riley to worry about her like he seemed to be doing at the moment. Part of her thought it was nice though, to have someone being worried over her well being, she really wasn't used to it. She smiled slightly as he reached his lips down to hers so he could kiss her lightly.
"Riley.." His lips broke away from hers as he looked across at Angela, his arms still around her. She snuggled down a little more into his arms, tucking her head down onto the warmth of his chest. "..You know what, it's stupid, never mind." Cat peered out at her from one bright eye since the other side of her face was pressed against her boyfriend.
"I need to go into the bank." Weren't the banks closed by now? it was getting on for eleven o'clock, the ATM machines might still be on though. But he'd just said he wanted to go in the bank. Catherine could feel the car slowing down then pulling to a stop. Riley unbuckled his seat belt and found her lips in a quick kiss before he pulled away from her and opened the car door.
"I'll only be 3 and a half minutes." She nodded in response and watched as he closed the car door and made his way over towards the enterance of the bank. Cat ignored Angela as she spoke, her eyes still trained upon Riley's figure, she was trying to make out what he was doing out there. He seemed to place a card into a slot next to the bank door and then punched something into a key pad. The doors slid open and she watched in suprise as he went into the bank. Wasn't that considered to be breaking and entering? How comes it was alright for him to do that but on the occasion she'd been found doing it she'd been dragged off down to the police centre and had Anne and Roger yell at her for a week?
"Ooooh ya.. that looks inconspicuous." Angela turned around and Cat found that she had to give the other girl her full attention, dragging her eyes away from the bank. "You missed a lot of things, um.. let's see.. well for starters, I dumped Cody, six months and I haven't really dated anyone and the guy still thinks I've run off with a secret lover. Honestly, he's sweet and nice and smart, but you can't be in a relationship with someone if you don't trust them or how they handle themselves with people around them, so yeah.. he's gone." The news didn't really seem to suprise Catherine much, the only time she'd seen them together was at the Dying Star and then they'd just fought.
"I heard you saw Dawn, don't worry about her, she's just a little upset over things, but it was her birthday yesterday, Sean spoiled her and they got a room together, so give it another few days and knowing her she'll forget what's upsetting her." Her body stiffened slightly, she didn't much like talking about Dawn after what the other girl had done to her the other day. "Riley's a family guy Catherine, he's brought up to believe there is nothing more important then family, you being his girlfriend automatically makes you part of that family so he'll listen to whatever you say to him. The closer to Christmas we get the more time's I see him holding that picture of his parents, a lot of students will stay at the school because we don't have families to spend Christmas with, you two have his parents, so he doesn't belong at the school with the rest of us." Angela wanted her to persuade him to go visit them? that was what she wanted wasn't it? But what if he didn't want to see them ... no he had to want to see them. She'd give everything she had to see her parents again, except maybe Riley .... or maybe she would. She missed them so much it felt like her heart was being ripped out at the seams.
"What's up?" He got back into the car and sat down beside her. Cat's eyes were a little distracted from his though, her ones seemed to have gone as big as saucers as she looked at the bundles of money in his lap, even more so when she saw they were a hundred dollar bills. How did Riley get money like that? she hadn't really thought about his service at the Initiative and the fact he was probably well paid for what he did. She'd never seen so much money before in her life.
"They removed all the money from one of my accounts and closed it." One of his accounts? She wondered exactly how much he'd got in his bank accounts but she thought it would be really rude to ask him and she didn't want him to think that she was with him just because he seemed to have a lot of money.
"On the 7th of December, $68,243 dollars and 98 cents was emptied from my account at 16:34 in the afternoon." Sixty eight thousand? That was more money than she'd see in years. She'd been on thirteen thousand at the cafe she'd worked at but that was without tax, it would take her around five years to yearn that amount of money.
"Maybe we should skip picking something up, we can just stop by the kitchen on the way to our room, Catherine really needs to have her tablet before it gets too late, she's not meant to lay down for 15 minutes after taking it.." She'd been hoping he'd forget, he hadn't made her have one that morning after all. Maybe she could distract him and he wouldn't make her take one, after all he'd only been able to resist her for ten mintues earlier.
"Money's important to everyone Riley." Cat nudged a little bit closer to him, of course money was important, how did you survive without any. How was she going to manage? she'd got used to being able to go out and buy herself things. Maybe she could get herself a job somewhere that way at least she'd have a little money to spend.
"I mean, think about it, to get something from money, you need to give it away.." She lay her head against his chest once again. "..but to get something from someone you love, all they need to do is be there for you." She didn't really get what he was talking about.
Cat: Do you think I should go back?
Nina: Cat.. he's only a man.
Cat: You don't understand...
Re: A Special Night out at the Dying Star
When Hannah had called out saying that the limo had arrived, Max seemed to ignore her for a moment as his lips remained upon hers. When the doors where heard opening, he slowly pulled his lips away, opening his eyes to look at her for a moment before smiling and getting her to the limo so they could get back to the school.
Meanwhile the car trip with Riley, Cat and Angela seemed to have grown rather quiet, once again Angela seemed content in focusing on driving and that suited Riley just fine. He was cuddled against Catherine, his body twisted towards her and he had a rather playful look about him as was leaning closely to her. His hand was fiddling gently with her own, his other arm wrapped about her as she rested her body against his own, his lips touched the top of her head with a few little kisses. He'd give anything to cheer her up about having to remain in the school,
"We'll do things Catherine, there's plenty of things to do in the school." He didn't want her to be upset with him, it's just he'd rather she stayed cooped up then running about getting only more ill and hurt. "If you want anything, tell me and I'll do it for you." His caring and yet full of regreat whispers where softly spoken in hopes that she'd understand he did feel bad that he was making her upset.
