A Watcher's 'Perfect' Dream
Luckily the walk from where Tasha had met the Turner twins wasn't too far to the Watcher's Council. It almost surprised the Slayer that she got so close to the one place she didn't want to go near while she was out on her walk. She had kept fairly close to the other side of the male as she lead the way in case Kaira struggled to aid her brother.
Tasha: "This is it."
She informed them both as the approached an old looking building, reddish-brown bricks constructing the outer walls and two large wooden doors making the entrance. As the three approached the five small stairs that laid in front of the front doorway, Tasha helped get William up the stairs. Once up on the final stair she gave three rather loud knocks before swinging both doors open.
It was no surprise to those in the Watcher’s Council that Tasha would have made such an entrance, they were only relieved that she hadn't knocked the doors over, as she had done a few times before. A middle-aged man was the first to make his way over to the three, giving a strange look towards both William and Kaira. The man was, Peter Wooller, a Watcher and one of the nineteen that had tried to become Tasha’s, but now he was working with a new Potential Slayer, who seemed a little overwhelmed with seeing Tasha.
Peter: "What type of demons have you brought along for us today?"
The way he asked almost seemed as if he was bored or sleepy. If truth be told he was just getting bored with the way Tasha went about her duties, as well as having a slight form of dislike towards the Slayer after he received a hurt pride following from being taken off being Tasha’s Watcher.
Tasha: "Don’t worry, they only seem to be part demon. Harmless…"
She said in a no worries tone, looking past her former Watcher and towards the Potential, who just seemed to smile nervously back at her, before she looked back to Peter. The look the Watcher wore on his face wasn’t too pleased, even if they were only part demon they shouldn’t be allowed in this place.
Tasha: "Don’t worry Woollsie, I had to help save these two from a demon who seemed pretty keen on bringing these two to an end."
The Watcher looked over to the two part demons, as if trying to spot a flaw in them so they could be shunned away. His stayed focused on the male, studying his wound was pretty bad and by the looks of things he could die soon with no medical aid. Looking back to the Slayer he gave her a ‘you’d-better-be-right’ look. Peter was one of the Watcher’s who knew about all different way of healing. He was even a student at Harmony Uni for a few years, with most of his classes being Herbology and Potions in ways of finding more ways to cure people with.
Peter: "Alright, it looks at if it’s some type of poison. I should be able to fix it up."
Tasha just replied with a thankful smirk, which the Watcher took no notice of and if he had seen it he didn’t believe it anyway as he made his way over to William, taking him away from his sister and towards a less crowded room that had the special medical equipment he needed.
Tasha: "Don’t worry, he’s in safe hands."
She said to Kaira, leading her over towards some chairs that were just outside the room the Watcher had led William into. As she took a seat the awkward silence that’s dreaded everywhere fell upon the two. Tasha just tapped her fingers on her lap, before realising that now was as good a time as any to find out who they were.
Tasha: "So, who are you two anyway? And if this is your home, where were you before?"
Tasha was going to ask more questions after growing a sudden curiosity to find out more about the twins, but she didn’t want to overwhelm the half demon. She didn’t even know the Slayers name yet!
Tasha: "And before I forget, I’m Tasha; I’m a Slayer. Vampires, demons, evil, it’s what I try to rid this place of. I know that you’ve got demon in you, but I only get rid of the ones I don’t like."
(OOC- Feel free to take over as Watcher and heal William yourself... *Looks about, acting as if she's not lazy*)
Watching as her twin was taken off to be heal, she fidget nervously with her hands, William was uneasy around mortals, but it's been so long since he's seen a human, Kaira hoped he would'tmrealize these creatures where humans, at least until they where together again.
"So, who are you two anyway? And if this is your home, where were you before?" The part demon turned her gaze towards the young girl
"And before I forget, I’m Tasha; I’m a Slayer. Vampires, demons, evil, it’s what I try to rid this place of. I know that you’ve got demon in you, but I only get rid of the ones I don’t like." There was a slight tilt of her head, does that mean she chooses who lives and who dies on the simplicity of wether she likes them or not? ..That's an interesting way for a Slayer to work, Imowen, the twins mother, often told them stories about the Chosen One.. They where like Mortal Guardian Angels Imowen had told them.. protecting the world from the evils of the Hell dimension and all its kin. Showing the Chosen One the respect her mother had taught her, Kaira gave a small bow of her head before she began to speak.
"I am Imawen, my mortal name is Kaira Turner.. my brother is Kalzar, William Turner, we are twins born to Imowen and Belthazor." She spoke rather formaly, obviously she knew of what a Slayer's importance was to the world and if the Slayer ask her a question, she would not hesitate to respond with all honesty.. something she would rarely do for others.
"Our father had bunished us to another world known as Galteraz over a century ago.. he must have had others watching us.. as soon as we tried to leave we where attacked, and you saw how quickly they had found us when we returned." Her eyes glanced back towards where William had disappeared, her fingers now caressing a medallion that hang arouhnd her neck, the golden coin's holy powers radiating from within it silently and unseen by anything not supernatural.
Meanwhile William's black eyes seemed frozen on the creature hovering around him, this man felt different to the others he as met in his life.. he seemed.. weaker.. powerless. William didn't like to think of people as being weak or powerless, but that is truly how it felt when he looked at this man who was trying to help him. The kindness in his touch was non-existant, grabbing hold of the broken arrow and pulling it from his flesh so suddenly that the part demon yelled out through gritted teeth. It felt as if he was losing his struggle to remain awake, but he forced him to focus on something.. listening to grumbles of the Watcher.
So the girl that had helped him and his sister was the Slayer.. she was powerful just like their mother had told them, he owed her everything.. had she not come, then that demon would have harmed his sister and Will would have been powerless to have stopped him. However this creature did not seem to respect her, in fact, had William been better, he would have had out right objected to such a creature speaking words against a Chosen One like those..
He had a book open, his eyes reading over the things and studying the pages and then the arrow, everything in his mind began to spin around, he felt so ill.. Everything went blackm his mind shutting down, he wasn't sure how long he was out, but the next thing he knew was the man leaning over him, wrapping up his wound with bandages. Only minutes had passed, but the room had stopped spinning and he didn't feel as weak as he had before. But that feeling that everything was slowly becoming safe for him quickly faded as the healer pulled out a strange pointy knife of sorts, the Watcher readying to put the needle into William's arm.
However as he tried, William's body instinctivly shimmered from the room, suddenly appearing right behind Kaira who seems to have been talking with the Chosen One. William's eyes where still black but he looked - although still rather weak and shaky - much better and stronger. He glanced at Tasha and gave her a nod of hs head in respect before glancing back at the doorway where the Watcher was bound to shortly appear.
"Kaira, I do not like that creature.. he is not a very gentle healer, and he tried to stab me with a strange instrument that even Dogoro does not possess!" The demonic witch doctor was known to carry many medical tools .. most of which where more for causing pain that actually healing..
"Hush William.. he was trying to heal you." Kaira whispered as Peter walked through the doors towards them impatiently. William only just realized his shirt was still unbuttoned, his fingers quickly began doing them up to cover the bound wound, hastily fixing his vest and keeping Kaira between himself and the Watcher.
"If I do not give you this, then the poison will only grow worse again." At the watchers words, both Twins seemed to instantly looked towards the Slayer as if she where their leader.
"Look you lot, I don't have time for this, I don't know what you are, but this poison is used by hunters known as Angel Slayers. Now, this will rid the poison from your system." Kaira did not really enjoy the tone of voice this human had taken with them.. especially in front of the Slayer, but William slowly rolled up his sleeve as Peter pointed to his arm when saying he needed to give it to William.
Once he was done they watched him hurry off, before then Kaira supporting William slighty with her hand and they both looked rather lost as they glanced bakc towards Tasha.
Re: A Watcher's 'Perfect' Dream
And to think that Tasha thought her parents were bad, they only kicked her out of her home claiming that she was mutant. Never would they banish her or something, but then again doing something like that would probably too 'mutant' for them to do. Feeling a hint of power, the Slayer's gaze drifted down to the medallion the hung from the female half demon's neck. The power from it felt different to power's she had felt before, many were evil and their powers felt as dark as the demons who possessed them. This power felt more... heavenly...
Before Tasha could ask a question about it, William had shimmered behind his sister. As she looked over to the half Angel she noticed the nod he gave her, similar to the one his twin had given her not too long before. It almost seemed as if they had some sort of respect for her, something Tasha had barely gotten in this place.
"Kaira, I do not like that creature.. he is not a very gentle healer, and he tried to stab me with a strange instrument that even Dogoro does not possess!" Tasha just smiled silently, at least she wasn't the only one who didn't like Watcher's. As Kaira told her brother to quieten down, Tasha looked to the door waiting for the Watcher to emerge. A slight smirk forming as Peter did, the look on his face seemed to be a common thing whenever Tasha was around.
"If I do not give you this, then the poison will only grow worse again." By now her smirk had faded, as she looked away from the Watcher towards the two who were looking back at her. She just gave a convincing nod, the last thing she wanted was one of the very few people who respected her to die.
"Look you lot, I don't have time for this, I don't know what you are, but this poison is used by hunters known as Angel Slayers. Now, this will rid the poison from your system." Tasha watched as Peter gave William the needle. As the Watcher walked off she wondered he had meant by Angel Slayers, well apart from the obvious. The obviously slayed Angels, but why would one go after the twins… unless… they were part Angel? Sure, they had a more pleasantly feel about them, but Tasha hadn’t thought of them to be part Angel.
Looking back to the twins she noticed that they were both looking at her, probably waiting for what was next. As her eyes wandered from one twin towards the other Tasha knew that they needed safety. If this Belthazor was still after them, they’d need somewhere real safe, but where? There was no way she was going to leave them here, even if they did accept. There was another place, they had kept a vampire safe from harm there. Xavier’s Institute. It’d be a fair walk there, but it’d be worth it if both Kaira and William wanted safety.
Tasha: “I know a place where I can take you, if you want to stay somewhere safe that is. It’s not a bad place, it’s an Institute. Home to many mutants, some are pretty strong and can hold their own fight. I’ve seen them in battle. What do you think?”
She asked the twins, recalling the night she was rescued from the chamber Angelus had kept her in. It was so dark, she met another vampire there, an alternate dimension’s Spike who had later come for information about getting a soul. Tasha wondered for a short moment if he was really going to do it, before thinking back to that night again, mutants had saved her as she was on the verge of failure for the second time. At least this time, she was able to lend a hand, in her weakened state to help bring the end of Angelus. If it wasn’t for mutants who knows what would have happened to her?
(OOC- Bleeehh… *Looks at wall* I’m thinking about removing it… *Realises her mum would be nearly next to her if she did* Maaaaybe not…)
Re: A Watcher's 'Perfect' Dream
The twins glanced at each other, both quietly looking over towards the watcher, both looked back to each other and began speaking in their other worldly language. They looked back at the watcher, but Will's black eyes quickly turned their attention towards the Slayer who was far more interesting then the human. They had seen the Slayer once, at a distance, but not close up.. only this girl wasn't the same slayer he saw a century ago.
"What happened to Isabel?" He asked curiously, aware there was only one Slayer in the world, but his eyes closed as he grew dizzy, relying more on Kaira for balance then his own feet.
"We wish to go with you to this safe haven." Kaira agreed instantly as William continued to silently ponder why a new Slayer was around. William has never really been told about death, being immortal he assumes all people live forever, but he couldn't ask anything further, his tired eyes simply remaining closed as he rested his head gently on Kaira's shoulder. He hoped it wasn't too far to this safe haven.. he was tired and it still hurt, but he'd be fine to walk, he didn't want to appear weak in front of a powerful warrior. At that thought William opened his eyes and straightened his posture, wanting to look more battle ready in front of Chosen One.
(ooc- At least it's your mum nagging you to go to bed...
*Stares at Troy getting restless and making a lot of noise.. demanding her to go to bed with him*
Honestly.. it's a good thing I don't have a boyfriend.. he'd be so jealous that my dog can't sleep unless I'm in bed with him! *sobs*.. *leaves it as a short post and hurries off to bed before Troy get's too impatient*..)
Re: A Watcher's 'Perfect' Dream"What happened to Isabel?" Tasha just gave a puzzled look to that comment. One time a while ago, one of the Watcher's had tried to teach her about the past Slayers and what they went though so Tasha could grow from it, but it was just like being stuck in school. There was no use in sitting inside learning information about the past when she could have spent the day training instead. If she had of spent the time learning she might have known about the Isabel that the part demon mentioned.
"We wish to go with you to this safe haven." The Slayer just gave a nod, before she looked over to William. Would he be in enough shape to walk the distance? It was a long one, around two and a half hours. The male part demon was relying on his siter to help him stand...
Tasha: “It’s going to be a bit of a long walk… unless… Wait right here, I’ll be back in a few.”
Tasha’s thought about walking changed midway through her speech, quickly walking off leaving the twins on their own. She was sure no harm could come to them while she was gone, apart from a few strange looks from those who worked here. Making her way over to what you could call the ‘staff room’ in the Watcher’s Council, Tasha slipped in with hopes that the room would be empty. It wasn’t, but the young Watcher inside seemed to be having a rest, small snores confirming sleep.
Once inside she locked the door and quietly made her way over to the pigeon holes where many of the Watcher’s left some of their possessions. It seemed almost too easy as she grabbed the keys from the last hole to the right, Gary McDonnell wasn’t the brightest Watcher although he had raised a few of the best potentials. He was also far too trusting, and it was obvious as he left his car keys just lying around for the taking. As she made her way to unlock the door, the sound of waking was heard. The Slayer looked over her shoulder towards the Watcher who was giving her a strange look.
Tasha: “Don’t mind me, just getting key’s for McDonnell.”
The Watcher gave a sleepy nod as Tasha waved the keys in front of her face, but with the sound of Tasha unlocking the door he called out for her, knowing the type of Slayer she was, but it was too late for she was long gone by now. He thought about getting up and going after her… but then again if McDonnell left his keys there, it was his problem and he made himself comfy and shut his eyes once again.
The Slayer’s fast pace came to a holt as she approached the twins, a smirk of accomplishment upon her face. Tasha looked around, making sure no one was around, before reaching into her pocket pulling out the keys to McDonnell’s car.
Tasha: “If you’ve never taken a ride in a car before, here’s your chance!”
Her smug smirk on her face as she waved the keys around her right index finger, as she wondered what the look on Watcher McDonnell’s face would be after he found his keys missing. It’s not as if he’d never get his car back, Tasha was only borrowing it. He’d get it back, one day…
Tasha gestured for the twins to follow after her as she led them to the car park. Once out there Tasha began looking over the cars, searching for the right one. Sure, it was dark outside, but the bright lights in the car park helped make the search quicker. Again, she led the part demon brother and sister to the car, the type of car it was didn’t seem to bother the Slayer, but it was a nice shade of Blue.
Tasha: “Alright, you two sit in the back. There’s more space there.”
She said unlocking the car doors with the push of the button, after the unlocking beeping sound Tasha opened both backdoors and waited for the William and Kaira to hop in. Once they were safely in Tasha took to the drivers seat, put on her seatbelt, put the keys in, twisted and started the car.
Tasha: “Enjoy the ride guys. Next stop the ‘Safe Haven’.”
With that she reared out of the car park, and began the driver to Xavier’s Institute.
