A room with a view.
Part of Cat was curious to know what the three were talking about, she heard the words team and X-force used quite frequently as the three conversed, she walked slightly behind, distancing hereself from them.
It seemed to be very important to them, this X-force what ever it was, the general meaning of what they were talking about went over her head, she was just a girl dumped here under mistaken circumstances and she didn't understand what they were discussing.
She glanced out of the window as she walked, looking down at the group still gathered outside, her pace slowed as she watched them. They all looked so happy, so peaceful so .... normal, apart from the blue creature, but she couldn't remember his name. She paused to stare at them, what she'd seen so far was a very different call from what she had been told, most of them were children, her age and younger. Were they, could they be killers.
She shook herself what was she thinking!! she was imagioning that these creatures were harmless, this was only a facarde they were showing her. She felt sure if she put one foot out of line she would see their true nature, their hidden fangs and claws.
Riley was asking who Zac would consider as a great member for their team, but he got distracted as he looked back. Catherine seemed to lighten up as she looked out the window, a reliefed smile seemed to appear across Riley's face.
..But then her mood changed again, her more colder, disapproving self reappeared, causing Riley's smile to fade once again.
What was wrong with her? Why was she so against mutants? Even Riley wasn't against mutants and he wasn't even a mutant!
Riley:"Do you think she hates us?"
He murmered under his breath as he turned and looked ahead once more, the obvious disappointment in his voice.
He didn't let them respond, he spun about and looking back towards Cat, his face had a faint smile.
Riley:"So Cat, where do you call home?"
He asked as he began walking by her side.
Riley: So, tell me about your dream. As a Psych major, I'm qualified to go 'hmm.'

Cat looked swiftly across at him, opening her mouth to reply but checking herself as the realisation that she had no home hit her for the first time. Her face fell slightly and her eyes took on a saddened expression. She knew that were Roger and Anne to change their minds they would have done so.
She all of a sudden felt like a small child who has lost sight of their mother in a busy mall. The same fear of being lost and alone hit her now, she might be a free spirit but she had been glad of somewhere to return to when she needed it.
'Washington DC I guess.' She replied slowly, even if she didn't live with Anne and Roger the place still felt like home. There was a slient sigh on her lips, everything was so confusing where as two weeks ago her life had been no more complex than any other teenage girl's ... but now.
But then was Washington her home? she was born in England, it had not been her choice to move nor had she been consulted. She had had to leave everything, all her friends, what remained of her family and move out here all because of Anne and Roger's whimm. What was meant to be a new start had really just disturbed and fightened the then young and impressionable teenager. Leaving everything she knew to live with strange people in a strange country.
Sometimes she just wanted to smash her head aginst a wall and wake up with no memories at all. Anything would be better than waking in the dead of night, drentched in sweat her body trembling, heart racing crazily in her chest. Seeing the cars crash into the ground again and again, feeling again the utter anguish as she ran towards the carriges, unable to belive that she had lost them both in one fell swoop. Felt the strong arms of a man, guard catching hold of her, restraning her as she half sobbed, part cried out for the parents who would never again answer her.
Damm blinks furiously, I think I'm taking this a bit too seriously lol

Sean and Zac hadn't noticed the sudden in pace with the other two until they noticed their voices sounding fainter than before. The two men had been in discussion about X-Force and when they turned they had walked a good ten meters before realising their team mates had fallen behind.
Sean watched as Cat froze by the window, and Riley tried to converse with her. Cat seemed to be making things harder for herself, not only had she openly shown Sean her disgust for 'their kind' but she even seemed to be either blanking or being blunt to Riley, someone who from the beginning had been kind and open to her.
"Hey, you two, there a problem?" Sean called, with a tint of genuine concern for the two....

His brow creased slightly as he realised his question cause Cat's expression to become sad. Taking a deep breath, he looked away, mentally kicking hismelf in the process.
'Washington DC I guess.'
Her reply caused Riley to look back, studying her features as she seemed to think about that answer.
Upon Sean's concerned voice Riley gave a quick glance back at Cat, he was alright, but was she?
Riley had asked her a question so it was only fair he tell her something about himself as well.
Riley:"I was born and raised in Huxley, a small farm town in Iowa. But this is the place I call home."
He gave a nod as he said that. Then turned slightly more serious after a short pause.
Riley:"I understand."
It was as if she had made a comment that he had picked up on, because he spoke as if replying to a statement she had made.
Riley:"When I first came here, it wasn't as pleasent as this, I was hurt so I spent most of my time in the med bay. You know the first thing I saw? A huge, hairy, scary looking blue giant cat."
A slight grinned seemed to want to appear but he forced it back as he continued.
Riley:"Punched poor Doctor McCoy clear across the chin, for a fuzzy feline, he sure is smart, honest, and very polite."
He crossed his arms as he continued.
Riley:"No one expects you to just feel at home, we all understand these things are hard and take some time to get used to and accept."
He smiled more honestly as he looked at her and added.
Riley:"But what's the harm in having fun? I mean have you seen the pool? The recreation hall? You got three guys here that just want to make your stay pleasent, and aside from the cowboy, we're all mentaly sane, that's gotta be a bonus."
Riley: So, tell me about your dream. As a Psych major, I'm qualified to go 'hmm.'

*Zac turned around soon after Sean and as Riley finished speaking he gave him a sarcastic smile. But then he nodded in agreement with what he said earlier.*
Zac: "You know, he's right. Many mutants are unsure of this place when they come here, apart from those who have mutant families. I wasn't sure of this place myself but now, there's no place I'd rather be."
*He said with a friendly smile, he wanted the mutant feel like she would be safe here.*
Zac: "And there's always something to do! ...What are your powers? Powers always call for fun."
*He gave a slight wave of his hand before stopping. He was going to show he something with his power but decided not too, he didn't want her to feel worse about being here.*

She turned her head away to look out of another large window, but a clump of trees obscured the mutants on the ground. I couldn't live here, I couldn't be happy here! She thought almost desperatley. She ignored Sean, the glasses he wore were a constant remained of what he was at least Zac and Riley looked normal.
'I don't have any powers.' She said with an edge to her voice which dared him to argue with her. Aglitiy was something that was not too obvious but then Cat could have turned into a hamster and still tried to deny the truth.
She made a mental note to to go within a hundred meters of the medical bay slightly freaking out. The information that they were all mad didn't comfort her, she didn't realise he was joking with her, she was too highly strung for that at the moment.

Although he was serious for the first part of the sentence, he was only joking about the order part, however he got distracted by the slight buzzing in his ear.
Raising his hand Riley gently presses his fingers against his temple, a common thing for him to be seen doing but he always seemed to shrug it off when asked if he was alright.
He was lucky, that's two shocks in a row and they hadn't been as painful as they often could get.
Lowering his hand, he ignored the humming in his ears, and strained to hear what ever was being said, though it sounded like he was listening to whispers around a bee hive.
Riley:"What scares you most about this place?"
He asked curiously.
Riley: So, tell me about your dream. As a Psych major, I'm qualified to go 'hmm.'

Cat looked at him, was it that obvious she was scared? She drew her brows across in another scowl, feeling her rebellious side rising again.
'I'm not scared.' She said she said too quickly. Her dark eyes, flecked with a golden brown and black, meeting and holding his for a moment, trying to emphasise his words. 'I just don't want to be here.'
She missed her friends, her home, even to a certain degree Anne and Roger. She took her palms from her back pockets, wondering if she would still be alive in three days to go home, she looked at Sean's back her frown deepening. She knew he didn't like her, she could read it in his body language, he might be a mutant but he still had a human form.
Team leader she thought I wonder what that means? if Cat had one thing she had curiosity. Was that was this was all about? Teams, but what had they been devised for and what did they do?

*Zac still had is hand in the air, after stopping it there so he wouldn't create a holographic item. He gave a slight smirk.*
Zac: "Alright..."
*He lowered his hand and placed it by his side as Riley gave his attention to Cat and he didn't notice Riley's distraction.
The female mutant claimed she wasn't scared and just didn't want to be here. He looked back to Sean and whispered.*
Zac: "Why is she so against this place?"
*He asked, wondering. Sure, he wanted her to feel accepted in this place and he was normally good at making new mutants feel accepted here, but to Zac she seemed distant from all this.*

He looked ahead, adding slowly.
Riley:"For staying...the 3 days."
He was already getting butterflies in his stomach from the thought of her leaving them with the same hatred she had now.
That's the last thing Xavier needed, some cold mutant in denial running around telling everyone she was being held prisoner against her will here.
Besides, other then Dawn, Cat was one of the few seemingly normal human's around here, he never thought he'd feel so left out around mutants. And last time he was with Dawn....the kid's cute and all, but she's a little clingy...always hanging off his arms and asking if he'd go shopping with her.
He cringed inwardly at the thought of another shopping trip which was fastly approching, then focued on Zac, a sly grin spreading across his face.
Riley:"Hey, Zac, have you got plans for anythng later, Dawn's...uh...going out and I was wondering.."
He trailed off as he realized the Cow Boy was ignoring him.
Riley:"Hey! Come on, Dawn's not that bad, and besides, she buys lunch...please go, I don't think I can handle another round of Salem Shopping Center and I'm still stuffed with Cream Puffs from the last time."
He placed his hand over his stomach as he spoke about being stuffed.
Riley:"I just realized she lied to us, she isn't human, no one that buys that much clothes or accessories can be human, she's some sorta shopping mutant! I mean, she doesn't have any where near the amount of Credit cards Garnet has but still...what do girls do with all those clothes?"
He asked himself out loud in puzzlement.

Riley:"Hey! Come on, Dawn's not that bad, and besides, she buys lunch...please go, I don't think I can handle another round of Salem Shopping Center and I'm still stuffed with Cream Puffs from the last time."
*Zac laughed as he remembered back to when Riley came back last time.*
Riley:"I just realized she lied to us, she isn't human, no one that buys that much clothes or accessories can be human, she's some sorta shopping mutant! I mean, she doesn't have any where near the amount of Credit cards Garnet has but still...what do girls do with all those clothes?"
*A shock of amazement spread accross his face.*
Zac: "You're right! I bet they don't even use have of the clothes they buy!"
*Then he began to think about it. Riley always came back with the horrid tales of shopping with Dawn, but on the upside he'd get a free lunch...*
Zac: "Alright..."
*He said with a sigh.*
Zac: "Besides, I'm not going to give up a free lunch! Do you think I should take any defensive weapons, you know, for safety?"
*He asked jokenly. then he looked back to Cat, well he wasn't getting anywhere with her, so maybe if Riley and Sean were there they might have a chance.*
Re: A room with a view.Easier? She groaned inwardly, that did not sound good. She glanced at Sean's back, he still hadn't turned around, she felt a twinge run though her, perhaps she shouldn't have been so cold towrards him ... but then he was a mutant.
The thought of Riley shopping even in the mood she was in made a smile tug at the corners of her mouth. Why did she get the idea it was his job to carry the bags? The thoughts of mutants wandering outside these walls sent a chill down her spine.
What did they do in malls? that was a good question, Anne had bought Cat all her clothes in one excursion, after she had refused to keep wearing the clothes Anne had previously bought her. As a rule Cat stayed away from malls but that one time had been an exception, in her eyes they were full of little rich girls getting manicures and squealing over the latest fashions.
In her two years when she hadn't been at school she had never bothered to get a job, having the attitude that some miricale would come along and make her rich. That had been the main confrontational point between her and Roger, he had gone out and got her numerous jobs but she never lasted more than a week or so. She just hadn't found anything she wanted to do yet.

Sean listened as Zac and Riley talked to each other, and most of what they said went completely over his head, it must have had something to do with their other friends, people Sean didn't really no.
He listened quietly to them and then noticed that Cat still hadnt caught them up completely, she was still standing slightly behind. He turned to see her stood a little way back.
He had some regrets, maybe he shouldn't of been as hard on her, she was new and scared. But her prejudice against mutants went against all he had ever learned and he couldn't stop himself feeling some pity for the girl, but she shouldn't have openly been so disgusted by him, that both hurt and angered him, even though he didn't openly show it.

Riley gave a triumphent grin over having passed the shopping trip to Zac, but didn't hold it long, the buzzing in his ear started getting worse, more sharper and the pain slightly increased.
But before his fingers where able to reach his temples in a futil effort to numb the shocks, his eyes where about to close, when, just as he glanced up ahead, it seemed Zac was about to walk into some kind of portal that suddenly appeared.
Riley:"Zac!"
The human seemed to panic, clentching his jaw closed tightly from the pain inside his head. He had reached out and grabbed both Sean and Zac by the shoulders, the pain he was going threw caused his fingers to grip them tightly, upon realizing he might be hurting them he let go quickly.
Riley:"Where the hell..!"
He began just as the watery doorway began to come alive with mild static shocks.
Riley:"Get away from it!"
He yelled as he stood slightly infront of Cat, his arm raised level with her belly, it was clear, even to them, that this wasn't normal.
Riley wanted to lead the group out of the hallway, he wanted to get Cat away from this odd phenomenon, yet he couldn't moved, none of them could move, there was something freezing every muscle in their bodies.
Threw his clentched teeth, Riley let out a groan of pain, a stressed murmer escaping his partially paralyzed lips.
Riley:"...Not now..."
The pain increased 10 fold in a burst of sudden shock, just as a figure flies threw the portal, his body rolling to a stop just infront of them, then a dark haired lady stepped out of the portal, her dark eyes smiling amused as she releases Riley, watching the boy fall to his knees and clutching his head with his hands as his yell echos down the hall.
A man passed threw the portal right after the woman, both looked down at Riley with a grin.
Angelus:"Nothing like pain soaked screams to make you feel welcomed."
Drusilla:"What did you do to him Spikey.."
She asked looking down at Riley, but the man who had come first pulled himself angrily from the floor.
Spike:"I didn't do a bloody thing!"
He snarled back at her, his vampire face still visible, but it returned to his human face instantly after yelling.
Angelus:"Let's stop the bickering children, we have things to do."
He said cheeryly as he moved towards Riley, Dru raised her hand and a ball of white light shoots out and slams against Zac's chest, sending him flying backwards against the wall of the hallway and slumping hard to the ground.
Riley's ear gave a twitch as he heard the thud, he looked up, Zac's body knocked out cold nearby, but he didn't have time to think much about his friend.
Riley: So, tell me about your dream. As a Psych major, I'm qualified to go 'hmm.'

A hand reached down and pulling Riley to his feet, Angelus's fingers wrapped tightly around his neck as the human stuggled weakly to breakfree.
Dru:"Mutants, Pesky mutants...Get rid of them Spikey."
Spike looked at her bewilded.
Spike:"And how the bloody hell am I supposed to get rid of them, tickle them to death? I can't even point a bloody toy gun at a mortal!"
He growled back angrily, upset they threw him threw the portal like that and attacked Jennifer without reason..well...not that they neded a reason, since they where motal enemies and all..
Angelus:"Toss them threw the portal, they wont last a day over there."
He gave a chuckle as he threw Riley back into the wall across from Zac, he turned and grabbed Sean by the back of the neck, lifting him off the ground and tossing him head on into the portal, Dru's hold on him lost as soon as he entered it.
Spike:"Right then.."
Spike mumbled as he stood infront of Catherine.
Spike:"Sorry luv, but gotta follow orders, right?"
He picked her up, Dru's hold lossening so Cat was easier for Spike to carry over to the portal, he threw her into it and clapped his hands together.
Spike:"All done then, what's next?"
He asked as he looked back at the two unconsious figures on the ground. But Angelus and Drusilla walked pass them, obviously keen on leaving the building they where in.

Dawn run towards the girls dorms, it wasn't hard to see the three vamps, and only 10-15 meters behind them she could see Zac and Riley slumped on the floor.
Dawn:"What the hell do you think you're doing Angel!?"
She glared at him.
Drusilla:"...She knows your other name Angelus..who is this child?"
Spike:"Didn't your mother teach you not to talk to strangers little nibblet?"
He asked in an amused tone, it was rare for a human to stand up against Angelus with such a strong tone, it was fairly amusing to see.
Dawn:"..Angelus? You lost your soul! I knew Jen should have killed you, but nooo, she let's the soulled ones live!"
She got totally off topic as she blamed her sister for this current situation, but shook her head and focused once again, raising her fists as she readied to fight them.
Dawn:"My sister could beat your butts, so can I!"
Angelus:"Really? And who is this sister of yours?"
Dawn:"Don't play stupid Angel! You know very well my sister's the Slayer!"
Spike:"The Slayer?"
Angelus:"They have Slayers here as well...how about that."
Spike:"Our Slayer doesn't have a sister.."
The bleached haired vampire ponderd for a moment but Angelus didn't care, she refurred to him as Angel twice now, and he couldn't stand that.
He looked at Dru, and with a smile she paralyzed Dawn on the spot, Spike walked up to her and studied her face.
Spike:"She does look like a tiny Jenny..."
He seemed transfixed on the possibility that there was another Rogue in this dimension as well. The sound of others approching caused Dru and Angelus to look past the frozen girl and see who else was coming towards them.
Spike:"Bloody hell, did we trip an alarm or something?"
My entire life I've been drowning in my sisters shadow..

Bobby had heard the call and knew he needed to get to the girls dorm as quickly as possible, he had made sure to tell the rest of his team to get there as soon as they can. As he rounded a corner in corridors outside the dorm rooms he was faced with one of his team members standing infront of three people he didn't recognise. Behind them was a large spinning liquid like shape hanging in the middle of the air, it gave off a metalic glow that resonated over the people around it.
As Bobby chased forwards he recognised the girl as Dawn, he just hoped he was their in time, he couldn't take watching a member of his team being hurt or killed when they had only just been assembled.
"Dawn!" He shouted loudly, "Dawn wait!"
Bobby didn't know who these people were but his gut was telling him that whoever they were, they was bad news and he wasn't ready to risk the safety of the school and it's students.....

Clay rounded the corner and ran into the girl's dorm first, his size 13 feet helping him run faster than the others.
"Dawn?" he called as he ran after his teammate. Clay saw Bobby first and breathed a sigh of relief, glad that the other man had beat him here. Between the two of them they could surely do something.
"Is she okay?" he asked Bobby, glancing around.
(OOC: If it's okay I'd love to see Tessa come just as Clay is about to get sucked through so she goes through the whole guilt ridden I should have been there, I could have saved him bit and comes to a few realizations about feelings. Is that okay?)

Rogue had taken the fastest way without seeing either Clay or Tessa. Hoping they were safe, she arrived just to see Dawn in front of some liquid portal thing and three suspicious figures near her.
"Iceman, Zippo!" she shouted stopping her flight just at their side.
"Zippo and Tinkerbell ran off after you but didn't see Tink, sent Upgrade and Nocturne to safety.. hopefully. Guessed help was needed here." she informed her leader.
They had been far too often in those situations to waste time on too much words.
With a dangerous twinle in her green eyes, Rogue glared at the strangers.
"Don't care who you are or where ya came from but if you won't get away from my team member I'll suck the life out of ya! Literally!"
The southern belle lifted herself back in the air and speeded towards the three vampires...
(OOC: Oh GOSH! Lady, why're you always a little bit faster than me?! well, I just had to have Rogue react like that coz it's her personality but I'm sure there'll be some way for our trio infernale to fulfill your wish ;P EDIT: Rogue won't win and this way it'll work out.)

Bobby turned to his team mates, the two looking very ready to do something drastic, and that isn't what should happen now.
"Dawn seems ok for now Clay, dont worry, we are here now, but Rouge, calm down, we don't know there intentions at all."
Bobby knew that Rouge's enthusiasm had got her into trouble before and this time he was able to do something to prevent that, to prevent anyone getting hurt if he could.
He looked over at the visitor's he didn't trust them, their contorted faces, piercing eyes locked on the three X-Men. Somethign about them made Bobby nervous and he had already seen all three other memebers of his teams ready themselves defensively so he decided he should take some action to protect himself.
Bobby concentrated and slowly his upper torso began to layer in ice, thick hard ice that he was able to regulate if he needed to.
"Explain yourselves, you have entered this school with hostility and we will not tolerate it." Bobby spoke commandingly, but as he did he realised that something was wrong, someone was gone. He's eyes widened and he turned to Rouge speaking quietly and under his breath, the air around him now much cooler than before, he was ready for anything;
"Rogue who was up here when the vortex opened? And where are they now?" Bobby's eyes showed the concern he felt for the others, and the increased worry that with Dawn so close to the vortex, were they going to loose her through the swirling gateway.....
