if its on dvd it might have english subtitles.
Re: austrain
ah ok i should have worked that out anyway. it would be cool if it did have the subtitles but dubbed would be even better.
oh i did some research...this movie is the same as the other.. i think one is just an older cover. i translated the movie review and its exactly the same...

That's a scary looking Balto cover. It reminds me of those generic storybook ripoffs you find in dollars stores shortly animated after movies are released.

Balto versions
Several versions abound:
1) Cartoon film: A reinterpretation of the actual 1935 epidemic event
2) The novel: The one you guys are talking about
3) The real event: Nothing beats history

Re: Balto versions
FYI, I have the German remake of Balto in my hands right now, though it's came out in a much uglier cover. The new cover is cool, and Balto certainly looked cool! Well, if BaltoWulfe said that the synopsis is quite the same, then it should be. The VCD doesn't have any English subtitles in it, but they managed to re-voice it. Okay, but not good. About 30 minutes of adequate storyline and animation, but it's worth it as it was a BIG turn-off from the original 'Balto'. Could make up for a review.

Catch> Sorry if I was offending, but I was just pointing out. The event actually happened in 1925, not 1935 as you mentioned....

Re: Balto versions
Wow, I would love to hear more about the version, even if it was different... What was the storyline, how did it differ from the Balto we know? Was there really a Kimo?

The small review....
Well, a big turn-off as it is, this version of Balto still relates to the 1925 event, but in a way we least expected it to be. Here, Balto is not an outcast. He is a not a half-breed. He's just a normal Siberian husky that looks a lot like Judy. Now that I said Judy, she is what you can call as Jenna. Surprisingly, dogs could communicate with humans very well(When I say very well, it means they can talk to them).
Kimo? Well he is not Balto's guide, nor is he a wolf. He is a dog too, only he looks like Steel. He is Balto's suitor. There's is no Boris. Just a seal and a polar bear, and unlike Muk or Luk, he couldn't stand out long in the cold lol.
And another thing, you'll be surprised to know that in the movie, the didn't use a sleigh to get to Anchorage (not Nenana, Anchorage!) for the anitoxin. I'll try to do a review on it.
