ATTENTION - Please Read before Applying.First. Check the top of this application forum, has your character got a power mentioned up there? If so, rethink the power, try for something new, if you REALLY want something, grab our MSN or emails and send us a letter, or post in General discussion, we may consider it, but most likely it'll be denied, only if people have dropped a character and we feel it wouldn't hurt have the new character with the similar ability replacing it.
Secondly. Answer ALL the questions in the bio.. including the ones about YOU. Repeatedly people delete that and leave us to guess things. We aren't asking for real names if you don't want it, just give us something to work with so we can refer to you and you know we're talking about you. Say I didn't want to be known by Angie. Then I could say call myself Shadow. Don't have or don't want to share MSN? Fine. state it, say 'none' or along those lines. But please include it, and try and give us some way of contacting you, even if it's just 'send me ez-messages to this account' or 'I'll keep an eye on the ooc areas'. Just give us something so we can include you on this. ^_~
Thirdly. Details. This is a skilled RPG. We're not horribly mean people, but we do like our juicy posts, we like to know what a character feels when they do things, the way they do things, how they move, how they talk, the way they speak, the clothes they wear... the perfume they have on! Anything is good, nothing is bad. We allow posters who look as if they have potential, we give people a chance to expand and grow within our community, but we won't accept people we feel wont fit, not because we're arrogant, but because we know that they may be overwhelmed or neglected by other posters. We don't want to see that, so if we feel they aren't compatible with the board, we'll suggest they go elsewhere till perhaps their skill improves or till they find some place where they're more at home.
Fourthly. lol. Ok. People come, people go, we understand this is a fact of posting-life. Matt, Chelsea, Jenn, myself, Ann, Karen, Dan, to name a good few, are all long term posters. We are here, and unless the net explodes or we explode, we will remain here. This board has been around for years.. it's not going anywhere. If you want to join, please, all I can ask is that you make sure that you're not just joining to pass time for a week or two. We try really hard to integrate people into the board, and I like to think in many situations we do a decent job. But the amount of people who have left us, and most without any word, is starting to really wear our trust down.
If you aren't enjoying yourselves, or if you don't have time, try talking with us, if it's a time issue, try and end whatever threads your in, at least let us wrap up things to allow other characters taking time to post with you to be freed from the thread before you leave. If you're bored or feel you're not enjoying yourself, talk to admins, they can get you involved, if you want fun, we can give you fun, we can talk and discuss and whine then suggest and complain like the best of them, and in the end you'll get results! It's up to you, the more involved you are with the players, the more involved your characters are, trust me.
Fifthly. Let's just say you've at least read the rules, let's also say that you've been accepted. Right, so you read the rules, you know the basic 'can and cannots' of the board. Have you checked the information threads? Oh my GAWD! Did you see how many things are in there? Yes well, there's so many things in there, because people like you have wanted to know them. Information that is very handy can be located in there, school classes, teachers who teach them, times they are on, that's ONE topic. Who knows about the x-men? That's important too isn't it? Well you need to know this, so best to go read!
