Inside
Open plan, few walls to inhibit sight/sound.
Only one proper floor, but several elevated ‘rooms’ the floors of which made of a solid mesh, the ‘walls’ are railings. The upper rooms are connected by walkways, they were originally used for some form of production or overseeing of work on the floor below.
There is only one walled in room, located on the upper floor and made of 4 inch solid plating with one bullet proof glass window, it serves as a panic room/vault.
Most of Chris’ living space is on the ground floor, the living area on one side of the building and his working area and stores on the other. The living area consists of a kitchen, eating area, a research area with communications equipment, books etc. his sleeping quarters are on the upper floor, closest to the panic room.
The working area involves a training area with dummies and gym equipment, an area where his weapons are stored in locked yet easy to access cases.
Finally there is a general storage section, where his unused motorbike is kept in pristine condition along with other sundry items and food storage.
The Centrepiece of the whole building is a water feature in the very middle, with a 10 foot rock effect pool and fountain. Chris has 6 fish.
The exterior does not look like much and blends in well with the disused buildings around. Upon his Arrival Chris had a trusted contractor seal the large doors at the front of the building and make it look like they had been for a good long while. The sides of the building were reinforced where necessary. With the amount of enemies that Chris makes he needed to have a secure sanctuary in which to retreat to.
Entry into the building can only be gained from 2 places, and neither of them is easy to either find or negotiate. If Chris doesn’t want you in the building… it’s not easy to get in. the first is what once was designed as a fire escape on the second floor, the door having been replaced with a more secure version the lock both mechanical and magical is designed to allow Chris and other authorised persons instant access. The stairs to the fire escape still exist however they have not been upgraded in any way and are very rickety and threaten to fall down, the platform at the top however is very sturdy. Chris usually accesses this entrance via the neighbouring building, jumping down from the roof next door to the platform.
The other access is in the side of the building, the size of an average garage door it is designed for vehicular access and protected in much the same way as the main door, this one however is camouflaged and rarely used as Chris does not drive.
Access to the sewer and underground tunnels of the city are either from the warehouse next door or from Chris’ own building, the entrance has had the normal grate removed and replaced by a hefty trapdoor locked in the same way as his other doorways.
Whilst the security system is excellent it is not immune to break in, the only area in the entire building that is completely safe would be the panic room, however the likelihood of someone breaking in is slim enough for the building to be considered a sanctuary.
