About the CO..
..I'd like to overlap the ending of the third week posts with the start of the CO posts so that both timelines carry on for a little while.. allowing people to wrap up free time posting threads while not holding back the CO any longer.
I'm aiming by Mid August if we haven't started CO posting then we'll get it going definitely by then, hopefully by the end of July people will have a decent enough idea on what their charries will go through in the third week to allow for more fluid postings of their character leaping ahead.
Please, I don't want anyone pushing me to hurry things, I know some don't mean it but at times I get the sense of irritation with the length of time that passed between the last story plot and this one.. I don't regret the time it took to get us this far because so much has happened to progress our characters and I'm not going to just rush into things now because we're getting so close. We need to organize starting points for the attack, characters where abouts, what will happen...I noticed Matt already took it upon himself to help update the group listings but I intentionally left that till we got closer to the point and while I'm eager to start throwing ideas around I'd prefer if we try not to restrict ourselves into groups right here and now and to wait a few more weeks so that the newer people get to interact with other characters and ideas get to be refreshed before characters are added into a group they may later decide they'd rather withdraw from.
I'll have to edit some things but unfortunately I've not been around, some changes need to be made to the list still because Dan and I planend for Angie and Dan the charries to escape together in his car, meaning the random adding of Isa needs to be discussed with Dan and I so we can fit her into our escape route and all and she may not even want to be part of what we have planned.. though there hasn't been much planning at this point for it so maybe Jen (Isa) has some ideas to add to it. There's changes and uncertainty and before any more random updates are made I feel it's better to talk more thoroughly and share ideas here.. as sharing them in the CO thread is difficult due to us trying to keep it clean and the posts repeatedly getting deleted once they're read and responded to.
ARe there ideas, stories plots, questions anything of the like you'd like to raise, explain perhaps what you want from your character, what you'd like to see development wise...heck, from 'I want to see them raise to be a hero' to 'I want them in to fall in loooove' or 'lets kill them off' or whatever you desire, tell us and we shall help to the best of our abilities xP
Drat, I didn't want to mess anything up for anybody! I've got no plans, and I don't want to bother with what you two might already have, so whatever is needed, I'll go along with it, otherwise I'll be fine placed in another group.

Well, I personally have no problems with when we start what or with where my chars have been put so far. Though I do have one rather controversial idea that I need general approval for.
So let me explain: I have read one of the newer X-men comics where the X-mansion is raided (ok in this one they went in to kill everyone inside but anyway). It seemed to me that we need some added drama for this thing, like a bit more material destruction.
Just to insure that coming back to the institute isn't all that easy at the end of the CO. I was thinking I could have Pyro lose the plot somewhat (he is after all a lot more sane than he should be) and perhaps burn down a significant part of the school?

I for one don't mind the overlapping at once. While I'm working long hours (and the public transit time in order to get to work adds another two hours usually) I don't want to get myself involved in more threads than I can keep track of so I will be careful of that and I provide warning here because I don't want to get in way over my head and let everyone down. Besides that concern it sounds like a fine idea to get things moving to me.
Well I've sort of done this to myself and in previous threads I think already but here's the brief mission statement for the characters.
The ones I want to focus on as main characters and really play through their threads are: Jess, Julian, Fred, Drian, Lily-Rose, Tessa, Murray and maybe Michael Hryciuk.
Oz, Kaitlyn, Ryan Warner and Christine are sideplots or minor characters in this storyline and will be played as sidelines. Kaitlyn will get reaction posts and imput in Uz and I's thread but it will primarily be about Jess for me.
Aisha, Lexi and Johnny Smith will be background characters, maybe mentionned but not played.
Drian I want to move forward. He's not in Lost Angels anymore but he still acts like it and hasn't been able to make a life in this Universe because of his ties to the old one. I want him to begin to move forward and move away, acceptance.
Jess obviously will gain a new side because of his brother's introduction. I want him to show a side that isn't completely apathetic and sarcastic and to begin to care for others.
Fred is going to develop a friendship with Rachael, thus bringing the Exiles forward by *gasp* having two people who like eachother on the team!
Julian is going to have to fight while on the run and he'll have to lose his cool and let his powers go. For him it's about making a connection with his powers instead of working against them. He'll come back a more well-rounded person.
Lily-Rose gets to be away from her father's watchful eye for awhile so she might grow up a bit.
Tessa obviously is discovering her heritage, learning more about Scott and beginning to explore things beyond her safe little bubble basically.
Murray will finally get some interaction alongside Kane. I don't know what yet but he'll be feeling a little better after visiting with his parents so this might bring him right back down again, who knows.
Christine will be dealing with the loss of a loved one basically in her stuffed animal friend's 'death'. Ryan shall be doing his usual worrying about his daughter but will be trying to trust more in her. When she comes back unharmed I think he'll loosen the reins a little and start to let her be a little girl. Michael shall be in District X, what happens is tba. Kaitlyn has to begin to be herself and let people who she really is and she'll (sounds cheesy but..) find herself a little in her return to NYC.
Ooooooo! Karen! He's going to burn down some of the school? Christine might tie in well with this. She doesn't neccessarily have to be there either, just in the vacinity. I wanted one of her stuffed animals, who she animates, to be 'killed' (that is to say destroyed) but had no idea how. Perhaps in the panic he or she (haven't decided who yet) could be left behind and burned by Pyro in that part of the school? Stuffed animal...flames... could work. What do you think?

Cleaned out the thread from 'off topic' comments.. sorry for deleting your comments Matt and Jen but I already stated that I understood why you did what you did Matt, hence my comment here and the added information that I've been too busy the last week to really sit down in that thread for the CO and go over things that in the end might all just change anyway, and so I didn't need to have the clutter of an explination for your views here while we organize things, just trying to keep it clean and crisp and focused on my actual question regarding the characters plotlines in the storyline. -nods-
Jen, don't be silly, again, I just meant that Dan and I had a plan for his Dan charrie and my Angie charrie to meet up, more would definitely be welcomed and I'd love a chance to get to play with you! Dan and Angie don't know each other that well, so it'd be perfect for others who aren't so familiar with one another pop in and join, otherwise Dan and I will get very bored very fast lol. We'll have to plot a direction for our lil'group but it would be lovely to have you tag along and help us weave together some fun posties!
Karen: Actually, that'd fit in with what was originally planned, remember I told everyone to organize to shift valuables they don't want to lose into the school vault and use the dorm move as an excuse as to why they put stuff there. The school is already planned on being burned down, it'll allow a rebuild and then we can add a lot of new things that will help give students more things to work on posting wise.. right now there's one main danger room but after the fire there will be 4 fully functional Danger Rooms, new teamless students will be placed on teams regardless of their length of time at the school, a cinema room will be added, and any number of other new features to give the Xavier institute a nice new spin.. there were other ideas thrown around but right now I can't remember them..
The only problem was I couldn't really figure which way to go for the reason of the fire, went from explosives to the school just getting damaged during the final attack to try and retake it to a few other quickly dismissed ideas... having Pyro do the dirty work would be really welcomed And it'll help murder that stuffed toy too
Armaan: Obviously he's running off with Jess and Kaitlyn, however I havent really given any thought to what sorts of Character developments I want him to undergo. Maybe a boost in self-confidence, or perhaps a new outlook on mutant human relations. Nothing serious because I like him how he is, but Im pretty much sure I want him to come out of the CO stronger, more self-assured, and definately someone who begins to speak his mind.
Alexander: Im guessing that as far as emphasis goes, Alexander will be my main concern. As Chels said, the developing relationship with his brother added to his awesome powers will give me a chance to flex some written muscle as I havent really played the brooding rebel sort before.
Remy: I wanted him stuck with Drew's Damien character, but I dont know if Drew is returning. I was looking forward to Gambit getting to know his AU son, as well as growing protective or whatever over the child. Maybe ask a few questions about how good of a father his AU self was and all that jazz. Hopefully Drew will return and we'll be able to plot this out.

Generally I don't mind when it starts... I'm hoping it will start to cool off here and I'll stop stressing over life the universe etc so I can concentrate on posting xD
Chels.... with Julian if we're doing the fight anyway, we can always make it.. erm... explosive lol. It fits in well and was going to talk to you about that as well. ^_^ *will try and catch you at some point.

There comes a time in everyone's life when they have to take over responsibility.
The question remains whether there is also a time when we can get rid of it again.

ok, since most of my charries are unplanned... or not solid, even Riley has some flexibility, I'd like people to remind me or suggest different plans they have with MY characters. I haven't been on MSN long enough or often enough with all the things going on so I feel as if I'm a little out of the loop.
I want to get the start off with different stories planned, like I was told Karen has an idea with May which we vaguely planned.. I know May's running around the school tunnels and gradually others join her, like Michael and Ben and the others still inside the school but not captive.
Dan and I planned Sonny and T1's take over of the subarea.. which they manage to keep from being destroyed or overrun and also help in at least one group escaping.
Porter will be doing two jumps planned so far, at some point his group end up being sent to Lost Angels.. but on his return he'll end up opening another portal but this time the Turner Twins will influence the location the portal takes them and the group (yet unplanned group) will end up in the pirate-like dimension.
Icarus gets rescued by Kichi early on and Riley gets freed from his room by Catherine at the start too but as for Icarus and Kichi no idea where they go next and Riley/Cat are stil lup in the air. With Frank/Leo coming and going it means that the storyline with Riley is totally thrown now and I've not really plotted anything else... I am thinking still by the end of it Riley ends up in the group caught and they all end up being put on trail. But, all that could totally change... guess I need to talk to Jenn and others involved but.. not entirely sure yet.
There's also the fact that a lot of people have planned things and not really discussed it which makes it difficult so the sooner you get the outline of the starting point your charries are up the better it is for everyone involved!
Is there a character in particular you want to be involved with, come and discuss it, if you want to ASK for participation with a specific character then go right ahead, or if you just aren't sure what to do then it's time to start planning and plotting. If you have ideas that you think could be fun but involve another character to set it into motion then still give it a go to ask because you never know if that person might really like the idea and could even alter their own plans to take your idea on board. Give it a try.
I *don't* want people asking me when the CO is going to be over, I don't know, I don't intend to make a schedule, I don't want to have to stress about it, if you don't feel like you want to be part of the CO's action, there are plenty of other options to take, even if you are part of the school you can run away.. change your names for the duration of the CO and do soemthing creative, join one of the groups leaving this particular reality or slip into the Mass.Acadamy, the Headmistress Angelina Fontaine will take any student in and create the false identities they'd require to remain safe till things die down. She's a powerful mutant in her own right and no one messes with her students...(ok, there's that whole initiative thing but they'll be sorry when she discovers them >.> ) ...
In any case, I'll admit that it does get tiring having people complain about things instead of just trying to enjoy the moments going on, make the most of whatever you have and if you don't like it or are bored then why not make up your own story, your own plans, and your own escape. And if you can't, come to me and I'll help you figure out a way, there's no need to stress about anything, I'm here and send me an email, MSN or exInbox message and I'll respond with as much help as I can think of.
As per usual, I've been rather busy with work and bunches of other things going on, but I've hardly forgotten about you.
...And yes. Aiden's stuff is completely different. I didn't like his old celeb I used for him...so I swapped him for one of my current heroes. Chris Angel. He's much more photogenic, and generally gives the overall impression that I wanted to give with Aiden much better than my old random guitarist. So...voila! Siggies and such.

Ahh. Ideas for charries....
Well, Angie and I talked about Aiden and Frost ending up SOMEWHERE in the CO together. Probably making it out of the Institute together and eventually hooking up with some of the other survivors/escapees, and preparing for the break-in/rescue.
...Squee! Can't wait for it to get here. ...But I will. xD

Um, I know that we're havin' Elaina open a portal to The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe. So, what I am asking is where exactly ya'll want them to end up and such.
This is an idea that I have been playing with, so bear with me. I was really thinkin' about them ending up in Lantern Waste right after the battle. At first, they could be thought to be a part of the followers of Jadis that have been steadily been driven out of Narnia. There could be some confusion and then once it is all cleared up, they could take part in helping drive out the remainders of the baddies that have been gathering up, trying to regain power in Narnia.
Anyways, any ideas? Anything ya'll wanna add? I also wanna know if I should make a list of charries from the books and play a few or if somone wants to play a specific charrie from the books, they are welcom to..Are there any that any of ya'll want to especially have your characters (those that are participating in this expedition) to meet? Please e-mail, pm, whatever me. I don't have an MSN name at the moment, but I might get one soon..

I’d love to help play Tumnus and I can bring in one other random character since I already have the two of them set up from the Narnia board I played at for like.. a month before it died xD
I’m cool with anything you choose story wise, coming in after allows us to play and create our own spin on things while coming in before we may end up having to follow along the lines of the written story. Though we’re all creative enough I’m sure we could play it out and every inch of whatever we do will be a hundred percent funness. I know at some point Matt was playing with the idea of being the evil one… so you could always see if he’s still interested in that and if it’s an original or not. I’d like to also play Remus, a griffon who could meet up with them… he could be to them like the Beavers were to the kids lol. I thought that could be fun, having the group meet up with some random creatures, both good and bad. I do look forward to see what you have in store for us Katie –cheers her on-

*Blushes at the cheering* I only have a rough sketch right now..I think I might ask Matt to contribute an original baddie leader with which he could have free creative reign. I love the idea of the griffin being like the Beavers were to the Pevensies and Tumnus was always a favorite of mine. So, thank you for volunteering them. Any others that you might want to add in are more than welcome since you are the Almighty Angie.
The only reason why I didn't want to have the group land right before the Great Battle was because I was afraid that they might actually tip the hand of the good guys a bit more due to some of their powers...Buuuut that might be just because I haven't exactly looked at the group too closely for a while. Besides, I don't think I'd be up for the whole large scale battle. Not unless someone took over the planning a bit...Meh, I'm also a big coward. I would much rather plan on a small battle rather than worry about going strictly by the book.
Personally I like the idea of them turning up after the great battle, perhaps after the crowning ceremony. In 'The Horse and his Boy' (and I think the end of LWW) they mention that Peter leads his siblings in cleaning up the last of the bad guys, like creating peace with the giants etc etc so if you wanted it that they seemed like scattered followers of the white witch then that would perhaps make sense? (Sorry, talking without reference in a brief rehearsal break) I don't mind playing random characters. There is a unicorn/pegasus character I created at some point for a Narnia rp I can perhaps have turn up... but I don't mind NPCing at all.

I'll have to look at what all main chars from the book would turn up. Certainly Tumnus and Remus..They may even meet the Pevensies if ya'll want them to..I don't mind your unicorn/pegasus char showing up.
