Agents Johnson and Thompson (from lost angels)
Name: Michael Johnson
Nickname: Johnson ~DECEASED~
Code Name: Agent Johnson

Name: Nicholas Harry Thompson
Nickname: Thompson
Code Name: Agent Thompson

Being from England nick does not have an accent; instead he actually pronounces his words properly… unlike foreigners XD his general attire is dark clothing, usually jeans and a t-shirt, a long jacket providing concealment and offering some protection and an armoured vest offering more protection. His original clothing however was virtually destroyed when he returned to his own world and survived for a year or so fighting demons almost constantly. When in this world Nick is generally seen wearing sunglasses as his eyesight is used to complete darkness, in this world the sun is much too bright for him for long periods of time.

BOTH:
Affiliation: Astartes, ancient knightly order
Gender: Male
Age: 31
Hair: black
Eyes: brown

Origin/Place of birth: England

Powers:
mental link with each other, otherwise just strong and good fighters, not as strong as slayer though much faster
they possess basic psychic powers: telepathy, the power to move objects with their minds and a rudimentary mind control. The telepathy is constant, and combined their powers are very strong. They know exactly what the other one is doing, where and how they feel.

History:
they are both part of an ancient knightly order that was formed many hundreds of years ago to combat the demonic and vampirical activity. However unlike many of these sorts of organizations, this one chose to adapt to the times, and as the demonic activity rose, so did the need for more technological advances. Also as the times changed, the title ‘Knight’ was dropped in favor of the more up to date ‘Agent’.

The two are the part of the Orders psychics division, a small group within the order dedicated to the advancement of the abilities of the mind and spells. Their powers being refined to give an unbreakable link between each other so they were like one mind rather than two individual ones, they see all the other sees, feel what the other feels, and know what the other knows. This was all part of the Orders improvement scheme, the link between these two is the only improvement the order would allow to continue to happen due to its lack of major side effects.

Born in different towns Nick was older by about three minutes, and was born to a family already connected with the demon-hunting group, his grandfather being one of the Elders and his father set to follow in his footsteps. Michael was born a few miles away from Nick, his parents not known to him as he was placed into care soon after being born as his mother was unable to care for him. And this is where He became known to the order, for they regularly took in children and brought them up into the fold, only Michael drew attention for the uncanny resemblance to Nick.

Once both were inside the order they were introduced to each other, only being so young it was not much of a big deal for them, unable to comprehend what was going on properly. Their mental powers were easil discovered through the routine screening processes used to check the health of agents, and when they both appeared to have the same powers and they seemed to get on so well to begin with, Isolation was decided to be the best course of action… the elders realising that they could probably bond the two together to form a team in the future.

It was a hard decision for the parents of Nick to make, as it would mean that their son was to be kept from them for long periods of time and would probably not develop any form of bond to them. But true to their calling of protectors of the innocent the decision was made to allow this to happen for the good of the people the two would one day grow up to protect and serve. And so it began, their training was simple; they would be kept for a long time with minimal contact to any unprotected minds in order to encourage the mental bond that they already shared.

As they grew older their bond continued to flourish, they began to act as one unit rather than individual people, finishing each others sentences and rarely holding a conversation with each other… after all there is nothing to say if you already know everything the other person does. Their looks continued to grow ever more alike too, whilst Nick started out a a rather chubby child and Michael a thinner one they both grew rather athletic and strong, their faces so identical that Nicks parents were unable to tell the difference, though that did not matter as they treated both children equally as if they were indeed twins. Through this time they were slowly taught about the existence of other worldly creatures and what the order was about, mainly through stories and legends.

As they reached the age of 10 they were to be trained in the usage of weapons and tactical methods, not the usual for a child of that age it is true but they were no ordinary children, as with all the agents they had been groomed for this since they had arrived at the Order, the downfall of this being that they had missed out on childhood and been forced to grow up quickly. As time progressed and they became introduced to live demons in controlled circumstances the young agents learnt of how best to defeat each type of demon, how to use its thoughts against an enemy to know what he was planning and most importantly how to use their telekinesis to attack opponents from multiple directions.

During their early simulated fighting against computer controlled enemies they worked well alone, but when combined nothing short of a miracle would be enough to defeat them, using their powers to anticipate any move an opponent made and counteract it using their powers of telekinesis from two sides in order to disorientate and demolish the foe.

Soon they were ready to take the proper initiation tests to prove that they were ready to be allowed out on their own on hunts. To begin with the pair were taken out on a few hunts with experienced Agents to allow the youngsters to see how their training was used in the field to yield practical results, though nothing too strong at first, only a few vampires and the odd lesser demon. This was soon upped to bigger and stronger demons, the older agents always in the background to ensure that nothing went drastically wrong. But that is all they were there for, and on more than one occasion one, or both of them ended up returning to their quarters with broken bones and bruises.

Eventually when they had proved themselves to the agents they were ready to take the final test… hunting alone. Though unlike others of their age they were not really alone, and in the field this was comforting to both of them to know that there was always someone to cover them in case something happened. And at that age they knew that there always would be someone to cover them, they were always going to be together and nothing could stop that. The final test went swimmingly, the demon they were tracking was not expecting to be confronted with a pair of identical teenagers with extraordinary powers and swords.

The shadows surrounding Nick’s crouching form were an effective cover from the creature that stood no more than 20 yards from him, at nearly seven foot the Demon was a formidable opponent for anyone… let alone a 16 year old. But Nick was not afraid, no far from it for he knew that he was not alone, following the creature in the shadows on the other side of the street Michael’s sword glinted giving away his position. Not that nick needed that to know where he was, in his mind he had a secondary picture of the demon, he could even see himself if he concentrated hard enough… and Michael could do the same, such was their connection.

But now was not for hanging around in shadow any more, the creature had spotted Michael from the glinting sword, it was a mistake that could have proven costly to any other person. But even before the creature had made a move towards his partner Nick was already leaping towards it, his blade slicing uselessly against its armoured body. The demon turned to deal with this threat. Though now he was turning his back on Michael, the other agent utilising his mental powers, realising instantly from nick’s attack that his sword was useless, instead sending it flying with a mental blow.

Their training period complete the pair began active service as fully fledged Agents, initially working around the local area in England until the age of 18 when they transferred to America around the hellmouth, where their mental abilities allowed them to effectively monitor the situation and to keep out of the way of the slayer and watchers council… no need to tread on anyone’s toes. This was a good system for a few years and they did not confine themselves to the area surrounding the hellmouth instead roaming around the country to nearby towns and cities in order to reduce numbers of demons in a wider area.

But all was not well, the vampire Angelus blackened the sun plunging the world into an eternal darkness and slowly the demons and vampires began to gain control, overthrowing all resistance in their way. Contact with the besieged Order was lost as they fortified the headquarters in England, Nick and Michael came under heavy fire too, their small building was attacked by a group of vampires forcing them to go into hiding and tend to their wounds. It was a disaster, the order lost agents all over the world but it did manage to hold out at the fortress, and after the initial onslaught the pair were relatively safe in America.

The fire had spread through the hallway now, its perpetrators had entered the building through one of the lounge windows and were now destroying the room, there was nothing the two agents could do to stop them though, from Johnson’s room the sound of fighting was rather loud, if nick had not already known what was going on he would have been woken by it easily. His mind however had known as soon a s the vampires had broken through the window, they had obviously been sent by Angelus in revenge of the agents latest attack on the slave pens…

Like lightning Nick was out of bed, he was still dressed from last night and as he exited his room his sword was grabbed from behind the door. In the other agents room a pair of rather large vampires, and not enough space in the doorway to swing his sword properly confronted Nick.. but that was no real bother, and together the agents made short work of their attackers. However the fire had now spread from the hallway and to the stairs.

How their attackers had managed to get through their computerised security system he did not know, but get through it they had done and there was no way of saving the building from the flames that now licked their way upwards. *we have to get out of here… NOW* the voice of Johnson echoed in nicks mind as it always did, the words now were rather frantic *fire escape is blocked* Nicks mind replied, they could sense the vampires wating for them at the bottom of the metal stairs running from the roof to the alleyway behind their building

Things they had seen in that time though would stay with them forever, as human groups fought against the demons that were destined to take over the pair were witness to the destruction and capture of those who chose to resist, including mutants and army alike. As humans were herded like cattle they saved all they could and fought off as many demons as possible, all the while ensuring that they remained concealed from Angelus, waiting their chance to strike against him and his fellows.

Their covert patrolling brought the pair into contact with mutants from another world, one of them an injured boy by the name of David, aiding in the boy’s return to his own world they found out that Angelus had crossed through a portal taking with him Spike and Druscilla, intending to work their evil ways on another unsuspecting world. They could not allow that to happen, crossing over with the injured boy they deposited him in the med bay of the mutant school that they had watched be overthrown in their own world.

~NEW~

Whilst escaping the initiative with spike cat and riley Johnson was caught in an explosion caused by the robot T1 and is presumed dead, the mental link between him and Thompson was severed at the blast, and consequently Thompson is slowly becoming overwhelmed by the voices in his head and creeping insanity.

After Johnson’s death a recall was sent out by the order to all its agents, Thompson missed it whilst unconscious and due to this they sent a retrieval team. Returning him to lost angels by force the retrieval team took him to their base before setting out for the headquarters in England, however shortly after their leaving the base they were ambushed by a group of demon cultists. The team leader threw Thompson out of harms way as they fought with the demons but despite all their training and skills the squad was slaughtered, watching helplessly from the shadows nick could tell that something big was about to happen, his fears confirmed when the base they had just left disappeared in a ball of fire.

He evaded the demons and seeking answers he headed for the headquarters in England, arriving a few days after the destruction of the American base to find the fortress in ruin and not a single person in sight, also with Johnson gone he was becoming overwhelmed by the voices in his head and slipping in and out of sanity.

During the brief periods where he was able to think coherently he searched the ruins to try and find a way back to a better world, hopefully the school would be able to help him regain his sanity. In the long spaces between coherent thought he mostly cowered in the ruins and cause even more destruction through random outbursts of telekinetic power.

After a week or so he managed to come across a neural suppressant, giving him the ability to think for longer periods of time… the side effect being that his powers are completely stopped and he does act as if he’s stoned, This in mind he rarely uses it as he’s hanging around in a ruined castle with no one around to hurt with his powers and would rather not waste it as he only has a limited supply.

The ruins of the once grand fortress surrounded him as he crouched in the remains of one of the turrets, rising high amongst the rubble of smashed rooms and breached walls. Down below the scene could have been right out of hell with demons of all shapes an sizes slowly gathering around what once was the courtyard, this had happened many times now, only there were never usually this many at one time. Nick had by now already lost most of his mental control, the thoughts of the demons creeping around his head, he knew full well what they were planning, and it was not going to be pretty but there was nothing that he could do to stop them alone.

A human scream could be heard over the noise of the gathered horde, not a scream of pain but one of fear, of pure terror *you cant watch this again* he thought to himself his own thoughts almost completely lost amongst those of the creatures below him. In the tower he was quite safe from them, unless of course one decided to explore the ruins, for he had made a shelter up there concealing himself from eyesight, and by using the blood of slain demons to conceal his scent he was undetectable from any noses that may have otherwise given his position away.

Cowering inside the shelter the agent felt helpless as he watched what was clearly a demon priest lead a young woman from the ruins to one side, the scream had probably come from her. As he approached the demons parted allowing the pair though to the centre clearing where a makeshift altar had been set up using one of the order’s many medical units. It saddened nick o think that something designed to save life was now being used as a tool to take it, the once helpful arms of the table had been twisted to form restraints. As he watched the woman being forced onto the table he had to turn away, not wanting to see what was to come next, for he had already seen in his mind the things that they were planning.

The waves of thought coming form them were overpoweringly horrific, this poor girl was about to suffer a fate worse than death, though death was the end result of this ritual, it was highly likely that rape was going to be involved too. But inside of him something forced the agent to look back, he couldn’t let her suffer that fate… his hand gripped tightly to the sword lying to one side, a second later and his body forced itself up and out of the covered window, slamming the shutters back as he passed through.

In the centre of the group the ritual had suddenly come to a halt as something landed in a heap following a banging noise from one of the towers, with a confused look the demon priest moved towards the heap, it appeared to be a bloodied human, his form obscured by the worn leather jacket. That was the last thing he saw… spinning his body to his feet nick’s sword sliced deeply into the creatures throat spilling blue blood over both of them, the gathered horde frozen in shock at the man standing next to the makeshift altar, his features enhanced by the flickering light of burning torches.

Next thing he was lying against a large section of broken wall in the courtyard, looking around him there were bodies of demons scattered around.. not nearly as many as there had been gathered though. The ‘altar’ was in pieces, his sword through a demon’s chest, spearing it to the side of it… the girl had gone, to where he did not know. His thoughts were not clear enough to remember what had happened, the voices of the demons clouding out the events of the past few minutes, or even hours since he had jumped into the throng.

With a groan nick forced himself to his feet and stumbled towards the sword, his right leg had a pronounced limp, a gash visible through his torn trousers.. the blood from it slowly trickling down his leg; it was clearly fresh, no more than a few minutes old. His whole body ached now as a slight regret passed over him for not being able to remember what had happened to her, exterior wise he did not show any feeling towards the girl but inside he had grown strangely attached to this complete stranger as if it was his duty to protect her at all costs.

As his sword was wrenched from the carcass the agent could not help but notice the cloth that now adorned the decorated handle… a white strip of cloth with a gold pattern around one edge, he recognised it a being from her dress.. perhaps she has survived after all, still it would be nice to know what happened with all these demons. Later on with the sword clutched to him the agent huddled in a corner of the tower room in his shelter of rocks and an old table, a tear slowly rolling down his cheek.

Weapons/equipment:
Sword

Weaknesses:
Their main weakness is the only side effect of the mental link. They were only taught how to activate their powers, not to shut them off; this means they are constantly hearing other people’s thoughts. Together they have enough combined power to keep the voices to mere background noise, only picking out those necessary and therefore they do not go insane. However, in the unlikely event of them being separated mentally for example by the death of one of them, the remaining agent will slowly lose control over the noise suppression, causing a slow drift into insanity. The only way to stop this would be for the agent to learn to shut off their telepathy, but could be helped in short term by some form of suppressant.
