American in UK with iritis
Hi--

I'm an American married to a UK citizen, newly resident in Northern Ireland, and experiencing my 7th bout of iritis in 10 years. Tested positive for HLA B27 five years ago, when I was living in Boston. Recently found iritis.org and that encouraged me to be more of an advocate for my treatment here in the UK as dealing with the NHS is frustrating to say the least. Managed to get seen in the Eye Casualty department down in Belfast and am happy to say that the current episode seems to be under control. I'm going down for a follow-up appointment next week.
