An Urgent Situation – Monday Morning
Appearing suddenly in the medical room, Talia didn’t wait for Bryce to get his bearings after teleporting him without warning, her tail flicking sharply behind her as indigo waves of hair swayed briskly with her rushed movements. And as seems to be the case in these situations, Talia’s shy withdrawn attitude faded and was repulsed with the assertive and sure handed young woman that showed proved how seriously she took her job as a healer. A startled glance was thrown towards the powerful looking ‘man’ set up in the area not too far off from them, yet man it was not. A machine, one which had done more harm then good so far, a wicked sinful scorn that Talia felt bad for having yet could not ignore the life which the mechanical man had destroyed, one which had yet even been born. Riley Finn and Catherine Hall’s infant, the young woman shot badly in the stomach and ending the child’s life. Talia may not be able to read Riley’s mind, but she could still see just as clearly how much pain he was going through.
The death it caused weighed heavily on Talia’s mind, and even she found herself unsure how Beast intended on approaching the young couple and telling them that instead of destroying the machine, McCoy put it back together, giving it another chance at life. A chance it robbed of others, of not just anyone, but of the young couples own child. Talia wouldn’t pretend to imagine how they felt, but she knew even in only a vague way that she’d be devastated if someone rebuilt the weapon used to destroy her own flesh an blood. But now was hardly the time to wonder such thoughts, the seemingly resting invention was not what needed her attention at this moment, it was the strange individual who was now in her care.
‘Quickly, bring him here,’ The mental message requested hastily into Bryce’s mind, obviously they’d need to use the special back room in the advanced medical room, specially equipped in ways the other one wasn’t. Able to handle hostile and dangerous mutants and keep them either safe from themselves or others at the school. Right now Talia needed to set the bed which would not burn in flames by the phenomenal biology things young man possessed. ‘Place him down,’ The cold examination table was probably not the most fantastic sense of safety a sick mutant would like to wake up in, but right now there was little else Talia could think of doing, she only prayed that what she was doing was right.
‘Be careful,’ The Shi’ar technology was already trying to work out the ailments of the strange mutant who found himself fallen before their doors. In any normal case she could put the guy on a drip, but with those tendrils lashing about she wasn’t sure how effective that would be. The remarkable healing properties of the Shi’ar bed would help heal his body, but not replenish the nutrients it needed. Perhaps once he woke things would be easier. At least he was stable, far from fine, but now that he was safely placed in the care of this institute, Talia knew that he would be well taken care off, whatever he had been through would be reverted, nothing a good few meals and medical treatment won’t cure. At least with his current health situation, one could never be sure what other issues a person could suffer, especially one as different from normal as he was. Tapping the com-badge on her nurses uniform, Talia spoke with a raised voice, the worry and concern hard to hind from someone like Dr McCoy, but possibly unnoticeable to others.
"Dr McCoy, zere is a problem down in ze Advanced Medical room, ve have a visitor, his is definitely malnourished und dehydrated, currently unconscious, but ze male’s mutancy makes it difficult for me to get close to him." The words poured over the communication link with a touch of her German heritage riddled over her words, all she could do was wait for Beast’s advice, otherwise she might as well just restrain the mutant and she’d really rather not doing that due to the fright it sometimes cause patients who wake up incapacitated in such a way.

He was floating . Steps was floating in a large pool of liquid . He could hear whispers all around him , just too distant to comprehend . He could see , and feel nothing . It was a darkness , and he was floating . The whispers never stopped , but a louder voice came to the forefront of Step's half awareness . Steps knew the voice better than his own . That cold rasping voice that sounded like an ice covered lake cracking under heavy boots .
Steps , you have to stop trying to stop me . You think by fainting you can keep me from having control . You think that you can play around with me ! Steps , those whispers , those soft whispers ... they're all screaming Steps . You're just to much of a baby to listen . Shut them out Steps . I'm killing them right now ... Well , you're killing them . Just like Richelle , just like Pops , and all those dogs ... Murderer .
You're lying , You're lying
Just listen then .
Steps listened , he listened hard . Everything sounded like it was under water , or the echo of an echo . A voice came to him , he heard , he heard exactly what the voice wanted him to . The voice faded in and out with each word .
"Dr McCoy, ... is ... down in ze Advanced Medical room , he is ... currently unconscious, but ze ... mutan ... difficult for me to get close to him."
You hear that steps . You already knocked out Dr McCoy , whoever that is . He is dying ... These people are not even like you this is a cancer resort for rich old men . This hot little German nurse is over paid to look hot for the rich patients . You see steps . She called you a mutant . They know what you are . you better wake up soon , they will kill you . After what you did to poor Dr McCoy .
You're lying , I'm not getting up ... You're lying ... Xavier is here . He is going to cure me ... Xavier
Xavier was rich and old ten years ago , when you saw that T.V. report . Why do you think he was here ? To die in peace of lung cancer . To die with a hot German nurse tending to him , and Dr. McCoy giving him pain killers . He was in that wheel chair . Remember . You spent so long memorizing the name , that you can't even remember the report ... what was it about ? Do you even know ? You're pathetic .
Shut up ... You're lying like always . You're always lying !
Re: An Urgent Situation – Monday Morning
Sorry for the short post… rather blank on what to put and figured people are waiting for me since no one has posted.
“I am aware of the situation Talia” Replied the voice, which caught Talia by slight surprise until she figured he probably had someone report the incident of the guests arrival. Sometimes the security measures really made her feel comfortable, unlike some students who knew of the extreme measures and felt unsure of it, or pressured into being careful. Talia wouldn’t wanted it any other way, but then again, it wasn’t like she left the grounds enough to find the curfew really bothersome – either way she’d manage to teleport to her room without too much trouble. “Just keep him calm till I get there. And don’t take any risks. Ill be right down.” Of course she’d try to keep him calm! …Try being the operative word, how does someone calm one who isn’t awake and on top of that can’t be approached? Improvising was the art of a fantastic healer, Talia just wished she had half of what McCoy had in the way of intellect and the ability to connect with his patients.
'It vill be ok,' The young nurse tried to telepathically assure the new patient, 'doctor McCoy vill help you, he ist on’is vay.' She tried to comfort the new arrival with the knowledge that a doctor was coming, struggling to keep her mind focused so to try and not have a flood of other thoughts pressure their way into her mind. The whispers of the others were hard to make out but loud at the same time, something Tal had gotten rather used to but was also training hard to better control her minor psychic abilities.

Re: An Urgent Situation – Monday Morning
Ok guys Thia might be the lamest temporary solution to Steps problem you have ever heard but its all I can come up with based on research and bio so be gentle with me.
.................................................................................................................................................
I’ll be right down he had said. If only it were that simple. #Simple or not I cannot leave Talia to deal with this alone# the doctor said to himself ,his mind quickly running through the myriad of things that he had to take into account before leaving med lab. He glanced hurriedly at the monitors, assessing the condition of the patients who were already under his care, unwilling to put their lives at risk yet knowing that the situation down in the lower levels of the Institute could turn critical at any moment.
Scott’s condition seemed to be stable, the drugs holding back the relentless advance of his body’s deterioration for the time being at least. Paige however continued her downward spiral the pneumonia refusing to release its hold on her despite the alien healing technology she lay cradled in. Still the process had been slowed, giving him cause to think that she would hold steady for at least a few hours yet. Michael on the other hand……
#He’s getting worse and very fast# Hank thought worriedly *Which is exactly what we wanted isn’t it.?* The ethical implications of what they were doing still weighed heavily upon the doctor conscience. Certainly the circumstances had called for radical measures, Paige’s life hung in the balance but deliberately infecting the boy with her disease even at his own request had been a hard enough decision to take. Using the shiar machines to speed up the progression of the illness within his system had been a further risk that he was far from certain he should have agreed to. *And now I must walk out and leave him at this crucial moment , confiding his well being which I myself have placed in jeopardy to the hands of someone else.*
He hated to do it and yet the young man who had so spectacularly made his entrance into the Institute was in no less need of assistance. Quickly McCoy called in one of the medical assistants instructing them to survey the monitors and alert him at the first sign of any irregularity. Then without a backward glance he bounded out of the med lab and headed downstairs, his great feline form swift and graceful as he rushed towards his new patient.
It took him only a few minutes to cover the distance. He was built for speed as well as strength and he used all his ability now to take him along the corridors to the advanced medical facility. As he entered he could see the long burning tendrils still snaking their way over the floor, illuminating the reclining figure of the boy and those who surrounded him with their garish light.
Talia had done well, installing him safely on the bed, her concern obvious on her face as it always was at such times when she was confronted by suffering and pain. Once again Hank was thankful that she had been on hand when this troubled young man had arrived He could think of no one better to ease his first few moments in the Institute than the gentle german nurse. He smiled at her in reassurance as he approached, careful to avoid the deadly appendages that surrounded the patient as he looked at the readouts the alien machines were already providing him with."Well done Talia" he said "I see you have made him as comfortable as possible under the circumstances. Now let us see what seems to be the problem here."
Exhaustion and malnutrition, that much was obvious even to the naked eye. This young mutant had come a long way to find them and his road had been far from easy from the looks of things. Still it seemed that his life was not in danger at least not from any wound or illness. His uncontrolled power was another matter altogether. Although it is more of a danger to those who surround him than to the boy himself the doctor reflected as he read the machines findings.
Gas, and a volatile one at that. That was what was pouring from his fingers. KNO3 Not the easiest of substances to handle under any conditions let alone these ones. Yet if they were going to be able to give any assistance then they had to find some way of at least dampening its effects. #And perhaps that is exactly, what we should do at least in the short term.Dampen them#McCoy theorised.
He turned towards the anxious blue skinned mutant and quickly outlined a plan. "The burning is caused by KNO3 Gas which is leaking from his fingertips" he explained "Now if I recall correctly this is one of the potassium nitrogen combinations which does not react adversely to water. So in theory if we were to submerge his hands in a sufficient quantity of water then we should have some chance of controlling the phenomena."
"Perhaps you could teleport some suitable recipients down here my dear?" he asked his nurse. "You would probably find something sufficiently large in the kitchen I should think And you" he continued turning towards Bryce "could provide us with invaluable assistance if we need to move him in order to accomplish the next stage of the operation. Welcome to Xaviers Institute by the way" he went on with a wry smile. "A most eventful arrival if I may say so."
Finaly he concentrated his attention on the recumbent young man as he carefully approached the bed. Though the youth had been more or less unconscious when McCoy had first entered it, was clear that he was now coming round and the doctor wanted more than anything else to avoid him panicking a reaction which would undoubtedly prove dangerous for all concerned.
”Easy now” he said. "There’s nothing to be afraid of. You’re safe now and amongst friends." His voice was gentle and soothing, easy with the experience of many years spent looking after people with similar problems.“My name is Hank McCoy . I am a doctor and a mutant like yourself. As you have no doubt realised. We are here to help if you will let us. That is why you came to the Institute isn’t it? So that we can help?"Edited by: HankMcCoy13 at: 4/22/05 7:47 pm
Re: An Urgent Situation – Monday Morning
Steps' white eyes fluttered under his white eyelids . The whispers he was hearing were growing loud , and solidifying . Until he only heard one final voice . It still faded in and out , but what he heard , he liked . His pores slowly shrank and the tendrils where left limp and lifeless on the floor .
"Easy now ... nothing to be afraid of... safe now... friends...Hank McCoy . I am a doctor and a mutant like yourself. As you have... realized. We are here to help if you will let us... That is why you came to the Institute isn’t it? So that we can help? "
Steps eyes burst open at the question , he was hurting more than he had ever hurt , he was tired like never before , but this was a once in a lifetime shot . He needed for them to understand . Steps couldn't see anything just a grey blur here and there . It always happened when steps would go without food . His eyes would get tired , or his mind . One or the other , and he would just stop looking , or stop seeing . Everything was an " or " with Steps . He was crazy or he really did have another person in his head . He was dying or he was finally coming to life . It seemed that things tended to go full circle with him . Steps' voice was verging on hysteria . It shook and threatened to shatter as he spoke . His voice was loud , and shrill .
" Jesus Christ , Just help me ...Please I need Xavier . Where's Xavier . He has to be alive . He's lying , I know he is . "
The chemical reactions thickened from his finger tips , and began to blacken the floor where they lay . A single tendril began to flop about , not whipping , just limply moving like a hurt dog .
Xavier is dead I told you that , He is never going to help you . And even if what you think is true , actually is ; he won't want to look in your mind . He will find me . And all your little secrets . He will know that you are a killer , and then he will through you out . You don't want Xavier , You should be running right now .
You just want me to give up , so you can take control , and kill again .
I have never killed anyone . You killed Pops , not me . You are nothing more than a cold blooded killer , I am the coming sand storm . I am the purest sand , and I will change the world .
Shut up , all you do is talk .
Steps' pupil-less eyes closed slowly , and he laid back limply trying to stay calm . His lips moved in the slightest fashion . His words barely audible .
Re: An Urgent Situation – Monday Morning
The arrival of Beast’s presence was most welcomed indeed, the young female relieved despite her concerns for the mysterious boy, with McCoy around he was definitely in capable hands. Well done Talia" The doctor awarded the nurse who watched as he scanned over the read outs. "I see you have made him as comfortable as possible under the circumstances. Now let us see what seems to be the problem here." Golden orbs peered over towards Bryce for the moment, everything would be ok, Bryce could approach this new mutant safely where others could not, and Hank was one of the greatest doctors around, this boy was to be well cared for and extremely lucky to find them before it had been too late.
"The burning is caused by KNO3 Gas which is leaking from his fingertips" Dr McCoy went on to explain to Talia as the furred nurse focused on their patient once more and then locked her burning yellow spheres onto her mentor "Now if I recall correctly this is one of the potassium nitrogen combinations which does not react adversely to water. So in theory if we were to submerge his hands in a sufficient quantity of water then we should have some chance of controlling the phenomena." Sometimes the level of genius Hank generated was still so surprising to Talia, so many chemicals were in the world and Beast seemed able to know most of them and their strengths and weaknesses at that. It would have taken her hours of research on her own, she was positive of that, but he did it right off the top of his head, would she ever be as spectacular as that? Some how the young Wagner doubted as much.
"Perhaps you could teleport some suitable recipients down here my dear?" Continued the physicion, reciving a slight nod from Talia who instantly put her mind to thinking where she could go to get things. "You would probably find something sufficiently large in the kitchen I should think And you" Well that made sense… Talia didn’t often go into the kitchen so it was a little awkward for her, but hopefully things should be easy to find, if not she could always ask around. As Beast began to address the other student with them Talia set about her own duties, picturing the kitchen in her mind and then disappearing in a sharp BAMF, with a swirl of brimstone scented blue-ish purple smoke.
Returning minutes later with the largest kitchen ware she could find at the time, Talia held the deep and long baking trays with a look of uncertainty, there had to be better things but at least these were doable. Moving to the sink Talia began filling them up with cool water, the clear fluid splashing down in a rush of pouring and splattering liquid.
" Water , Hank , water . " The voice mumbled roughly from their guest, a great effort even for those simple three words. Leaving down the trays to continue filling with water, Talia grabbed a glass and quickly let the substance fill into it. A smooth flick of the Wagner’s tail followed as she turned around and moved towards the patient. It wasn’t until she was close to the doctor that she recalled a slight problem, if she got too close it might be too dangerous, but that didn’t matter, the joys of being a telekinetic were that few things were out of reach for long. In fluid motion Talia’s mind curled around the glass as she got as close as she possibly could without risking getting whipped by the now quiet limbs.
"Here." The soft words had been spoken as the glass of water was held up a little for the boy to see, her fingers parting to allow the glass to smoothly travel the last small gap of space to his lips. The young nurse hovered as closely as possible, wanting to draw nearer and yet not fully knowing how much control the new mutant had over his own body meant that she had to take care. Paige was ill and most of the other helpers where not as devoted to medicine as Talia and Paige who spent all their time in the medical room learning as much as they could from Beast. If Talia got hurt then would Beast bring a lesser assistant down to take or place or merely manage as well as he could on his own? Relying on the others only when he knew it was something they’d handle and wasn’t dangerous enough to put them in harms way… Most just helped clean and organise things, monitoring patients in stable conditions at best, Talia was all Hank had in his medical ammunition at the moment, and she’d help him pull through all this until Paige was up and about again, ready to take on her share of responsibilities.
Re: An Urgent Situation – Monday Morning
Hiya Posting this for Dan.....couldnt get his account to work so I had to use mine But its all his own work and he is still very much with us!
...........................................................................................................................................
After he had carried the young man back inside the mansion, Bryce hadn’t even felt Talia touch him before he suddenly found himself in a completely different room. Having just enough time to glance around before Talia guided him to a bed to place Steps down at, Bryce collect that he was in a Medical type room, full of expensive looking gadgets.
‘I am so glad that I never have to go see the doctor,’ Bryce thought to himself before stepping back as to stay out of the way. He watched as the blue mutant quickly went about taking care of the injured Steps. She moved with such grace and precise actions, every move her body made seemed as though it had a specific purpose wasting no time at all. Fascinated with Talia, Bryce didn’t realize a second blue furry mutant entered the room.
This one was much larger that Talia and by it’s panther like features, Bryce concluded that it was the legendary Dr. McCoy. He had read up on some of the man’s work, and had been looking forward to meeting the man, but now hardly seemed like the time to introduce himself, so he remained out of the way and watched and listened. McCoy seemed to have endless amounts of knowledge, and was able to identify the gas leaking out of the crumpled body on the table within seconds.
“Amazing,” Bryce whispered to himself as Talia disappeared in a cloud of smoke before reappearing carrying some equipment. The nurse quickly set to work with the new equipment and soon had Steps looking like he might recover. Finally overcoming his astonishment, Bryce stepped forward.
“Ah, Dr. McCoy, I’m Bryce Frost. Can I help with anything? He can’t hurt me, and if you tell me what to do I can do anything you need me to.” The young man said quickly, not wanting to remain useless in the corner.
Re: An Urgent Situation – Monday Morning“Water Hank Water” The faint words gave the doctor hope, hope that they were not just a demand for the liquid, though the boys thirst must have been overwhelming given the state of dehydration his body exhibited, but also approbation for his idea to quell the rebellious powers. Now with the containers filling up rapidly, he was pleased to see that Talia had come up with a solution as to how to relieve the patients physical distress.
He watched her expertly move the glass close to the parched lips a slight smile playing over his feline features. Talia was always so unsure of her abilities but once someone was in need she forgot to be awkward and shy and became a strong and compassionate nurse, her touch always sure and gentle whether if was physical, telepathic or like now a delicate telekinetic manoeuvre.
It seemed the new student was equally impressed, his eyes following the blue girl’s actions with apparent surprise and appreciation. Soon however he drew his attention back to situation in hand making his hasty presentation and offer of assistance. “Ah, Dr. McCoy, I’m Bryce Frost. Can I help with anything? He can’t hurt me, and if you tell me what to do I can do anything you need me to.” His willingness to help widened the doctors grin “Indeed there is something you can do for us Bryce” he said amicably as he moved towards the sink.
The containers were now brimming, the weight of the water alone making them heavy and difficult to handle for even a strong man. However Hank was more than just strong. Effortlessly he raised the first receptacle carrying it over to the bed and placing it down as close as possible to the young mans right hand. “As I said, this should control the flow of the gas” he explained, repeating the operation at the other side. “However as you can see it will be difficult to get the containers into place given the present position of the patients hands”
It was an understatement to say the least. The burning filaments were coursing over the floor, deadly and unpredictable as they lashed out uncontrollably in all directions. “I am not sure he is sufficiently conscious to fully understand what we are trying to do here or even if he is, that he will be able to give us much assistance during the procedure. It may be that you and Talia will have to move his hands for him so that I may push the water into position. However, before we go any further I would like to try to explain things to him so as not to alarm him unnecessarily.”
So saying he moved round to where the boy could see him if the closed eyes should flicker open. “ We’re going to try something now to contain your power so that we can get close enough to help you” he said gently .”I have containers of water already prepared. All we have to do now is get your hands into them. All you have to do is relax and let us move you. Talia your nurse is telekinetic. She does not need to be in reach of the flames to assist you and Bryce here is invulnerable to their effects. So you see you have nothing to worry about. And neither do we”
Re: An Urgent Situation – Monday Morning
As soon as Doctor McCoy had finished explaining to Bryce what he needed to do, the young mutant jumped to work. Even with the threat of water so close to his duties, Bryce quickly slipped past the tubs of water and allowed Steps' fiery tentacles to collide harmlessly against his force field. Getting closer to the young man, Bryce studied his broken body; trying to decide how much of the damage he had inflicted on the man at the front door.
'Why am I so impatient?' Bryce thought to himself blaming himself for the mutant’s pain, 'if they find out what kind of things I did for Emma, and at M.A. they will kick me out of this Institute so fast. I could have killed him and then I would be out and I would have been forced to crawl back to Emma, and that is one thing I will never do again.'
Taking his mind off his own problems, Bryce slowly reached over for Step's right hand. Gently placing his shielded hand under Step's hand and wrist, the White Prince guided the damaged hand into the tub of water. As his hand entered the water, a shiver ran down Bryce's spine as the cold water made contact his skin.
The simple contact with water made Bryce feel venerable to the world. He knew his force field was inactive and the bloody, callused hands of Steps was an odd feeling for Bryce. He had gone so long without feeling another; that the contact, no matter how common it was, felt very intimate and foreign to Bryce.
Once Steps' right hand was securely floating in the tub of water Bryce removed his hands and quickly dried them on his shirt. Feeling the woven texture of the shirt for just a split second before the skin was dry and his force field re-activated it's self. Hurrying to the other side of the pale man, Bryce repeated his careful transplant of Steps' second hand into a second tub of water. Once again during off his hands as soon as they exited the tub.
Stepping back to allow Doctor McCoy and Talia to get to work healing the young mutant, Bryce found himself watching the instruments and readouts.
"Ah, McCoy, I don't know how much more help I can be here, but if you could tell me who I should talk to about classes and rooming I'll be on my way. And also if it isn't too much trouble I would like to come back when he is awake," Bryce said, nodding to Steps, "I think I owe him an apology."
Re: An Urgent Situation – Monday Morning
This is just a short post..Blinks Looks at post which seems to have grown....Ok Not so short post but the principle is the same Don’t want to do to much till we hear from Mark but this should liberate you Bryce and point you in Riley’s direction. Then Hank can wait here and see what happens next. At least till the next emergency comes along!!
****
Things moved smoothly forward, the new arrival moving with an efficiency that was nuanced by an almost self conscious gentleness. His succinct movements, rapidly executed and yet conveying no sense of panic were exactly what was called for under the circumstances, contributing to the calming atmosphere that Hank was trying to build up around the obviously distressed patient.
Once again he realised how lucky he had been that Bryce and Talia had been the first students to run into this unexpected visitor. Their unique combination of talents and their clear thinking had allowed them to transform a potential disaster into a carefully contained situation in which all suffering both to the patient himself and to those around him had been kept to a minimum.
Not that Bryce looked convinced of this. Now that the immediate danger had been taken care of he stepped back giving them room to work, looking for the first time as if he felt a little out of place in the medical setting. *That’s hardly surprising* the doctor thought to himself as he busied himself arranging the sick youth more comfortably on the bed. *I’m certain this is not how he imagined his first few hours were going to be. Although he is Emma Frost's son*,McCoy reminded himself. *A childhood such as his is sure to have prepared him to expect the unexpected. Which is fortunate for us as well as him*
"Ah, McCoy, I don't know how much more help I can be here, but if you could tell me who I should talk to about classes and rooming I'll be on my way”*Practical the physician said to himself as he listened to the new students . *Or merely realistic. It does after all seem that things here are under control. Why should he not then get about his business?* However Bryce’s next words were the ones that brought a smile to the blue mutants face.
"And also if it isn't too much trouble I would like to come back when he is awake. I think I owe him an apology."*Genuine concern. Always nice to see. I think that this young man will fit in well at the Institute. Even if his guilt in this case is a trifle misplaced*
“By all means feel free to visit, I’m sure our young visitor would appreciate seeing a friendly face.” he said, raising his yellow eyes to look at Bryce kindly. “Just as I’m sure he will tell you that you have nothing to apologise for. You took the correct course of action under the circumstances and your have in no way contributed to his condition. Once we get him cleaned up and start feeding him properly you’ll be amazed at how quickly he recovers.”
“As for your rather perturbed introduction to the Institute I’m convinced we can do something about that.” Normally it would have been simple, Hank would have called Jean and had her take care of all the formalities, but at this precise moment with the weight of her husbands illness already on her shoulders he preferred to take an alternate course.
“Talia would you mind taking over here for a moment while I sort something out for Bryce” he asked before gracefully moving over to one of the computer consoles and consulting the duty rosters for that day.* Ah perfect* he though, seeing that Riley Finn was on call at that moment *he’s just the person we need to get things organised.*
Swiftly he opened a channel to Riley on his com badge rapidly explaining the situation before turning once more to the waiting student. "There now that’s sorted. I have asked one of our younger teachers, Riley Quinn to meet with you in the entrance hall. He’ll be able to show you around and get you sorted out as far as classes are concerned. I’ll have Talia teleport you up there right away, if you don’t mind that is my dear? he said to his assistant.
He knew she would understand why it wasn’t advisable to have Riley come down to the advanced lab himself to collect Bryce. The metal being lying on the nearby bed was not something he needed to walk in on unexpectedly, not after all the pain and anguish it had caused him. No, that confrontation was a problem for another day and one which, quite frankly, Hank had no idea how to handle. *One step at a time* he thought philosophically as he resumed his place at the injured boys bedside. *For the moment this young man is my top priority. Everything else can wait its turn.*
