why, I.T. stands as thee most perfect live album one could think ov!!! a great line-up, a very good sound, a track-list that's quite diverse, excellent and awe-inspiringly beautiful renditions...
everything is coumpiled in here : thee harmonium-droney like ambiances ov {Sleep Has His House}, lots of medieval guitar picking from thee {Of Ruine...} era, delicate piano sonatas couming from both {Soft Black Stars} & {Hypnagogue}, coum apocalyptic folk remains ov thee past, two {Imperium} highlights rarely played in concert... and very witty samples included here & there (X mighty in sorrow, freya incantations etc).
then, there's "A Silence Song"... had there been only this song on I.T. it'd had been wrth purchasing.
Re: Anyone heard HALO yet?
I got a hold of Halo this weekend, to my great surprise, in a Montreal cd store, and ever since, it hasn't left my cd player. At first, I was skeptical of the tracklist, because most of the titles presented were not amongst my favorite, but it turned out to be one of the best live presentations of C.93
I was particularly impressed by the versions of Sleep has his house tracks (Good Morning Great Moloch & Sleep Has His House). Their structure is very different from the original versions, with cello, piano & violin bases. Nothing particular about the Soft Black Stars tracks which are pretty similar to the original versions... The rest is pretty solid. A great release!
