In her natural state her hair is a rich brown, and can fall at any given length. Eyes: Bright green, accented with naturally dark lashes and brows.
Physical Description: Arisa stands in her natural form at around five feet seven inches, graced with a moderate bust, a modest waist, and sturdy hips. She inevitably received a good amount of her father’s pure, physical power, packing a punch in her misleadingly sized form; and from her mother’s slim, flexible person she inherited a generally compact size and discretely pleasant curves. She generally dresses casually, a jeans and t-shirt type of girl, but it isn’t unusual for her to throw something new into the mix to spice it up.
All though in things like strength and flexibility it seems she got the best of both worlds, she also got her fair share of appearance-based mutations. From her father’s side she inherited a pair of predatory canines, elongated in an animalistic way, and a feline-like way of moving, silently and smoothly, that works to set her apart. Her skin, from head to foot, is blue. It is a slightly lighter, mellower blue than her mother’s, and not an unpleasant tone. But perhaps her most distinguishing mutation is that she was born with a coat of blue fur over the majority of her skin. It lays down smoothly in specific directions, not unlike that of a cat or dog, in such a way that if you move your hand along them the wrong way their fur is fluffed back against the grain, but if you touch it going the right direction it is soft to the touch. It does little to obscure her features, and is absent on places like her lips, the insides of her ears, ect. Her ears subtly up taper into an elf-like point at the top, tipped with a dark tuft of fur, and on each hand instead of four skinny fingers and a thumb, she has two wide fingers and a thumb, her feet just the same. Sprouted from her lower back is dark blue tail not unlike a typical demon’s tail, with a whip-like length leading to an arrow-shaped tip.
Powers: Arisa inherited many of her parent’s mutant abilities, most of which have yet to be fully tested. Like her siblings Connor and Madison, her sense of hearing, sight, smell, and taste are extremely sensitive. Akin to Connor’s incredible sense of taste, hindering what things he can comfortably eat, Arisa was born with particularly intense hearing. It made being around loud sounds or large groups of people painful as a child, feeding her attachment to solitude. Her acute senses easily hone in on the world around her, and her ability to judge movement, particularly her own. Contrary to being quite the clumsy child, overwhelmed with her complex perception of very simple things, as she ages she is learning to use it to her advantage and grows increasingly more agile and graceful with practice.
While Logan possessed an Adamantium skeleton and Adamantium claws, Arisa, like his other children, inherited a lesser set of bone-claws. All three of the children had extensive trouble controlling their claws when they were younger, aware that becoming too angry, scared, or tense could cause the hidden weapon’s painful release. Increased control and understanding of the reflex seems to come with time, and they seem to suffer less and less unexpected incidents as young adults.
Lastly from her father Arisa inherited the ability to regenerate and repair damaged tissue at a rapid pace. The extent to which her healing powers can be pushed is uncertain; she heals much faster than the average human, but not nearly as fast as her father. Slight cuts and bruises fade away in a matter of hours, and she has managed to walk gingerly on a broken leg a day or two after the break, and run on it before the end of the week. The extent to which this will affect her aging is unknown.
Arisa posses the ability to change her anatomy, everything from bone structure to hair color, at will. The nearest guess to how this is possible in her and her mother is that their mutation allows them to access a part of the brain that in most people may not be accessible, or may not even exist. Arisa can mentally map her body, picture the muscles, the bones, everything; and using that map she can command each structure to change form and function to her will. Cellular messages are sent from her brain through her body, where they instruct the cells on how to begin functioning. The change in function and form happens rapidly, as rapidly as she chooses, but it is extensively painful. It is the equivalent of growing pains, only a million times faster.
Through this process she can change her form in any way she pleases, assuming she can stay conscious. The moment she loses consciousness her body shifts back to its natural form. Maintaining any change, or shapeshift, requires constant signals to be sent to the changed cells telling them how to retain their new form, the more cells that are changed the more signals that must be sent, and the more signals the more energy she has to put into creating and maintaining the shift. Once the sending of these signals ceases, when she looses conscious control or wants to return to her natural form, the signals fade and the cells’ natural signals take over, causing her body to shift back to normal. Because this power is not completely understood, it is possible that someday she may be able to retain more long-term shifts, and it seems that with practice her ability to shift faster and for longer periods of time is increasing.
Because each shift is entirely ‘manual,’ she must completely understand the anatomy of the form she wishes to take, or the results could be disastrous. Her body will naturally shift back if the transformation goes wrong, but if necessary functions cease for an extended period of time at any point, such as blood flow or heart beat, she may be permanently damaged, or worse. The more closely related the form is to that of her natural state, the less difficult the shift. As a child one of the first shifts she mastered was one that desensitized her hearing, allowing her to function normally in large groups of people. From that she quickly learned how to change things such as pigment, muscle mass, and eventually even bone structure. As a young adult she can manage short-lived shifts into a few select animals, but requires a graph of the creature’s anatomy that she is trying to mimic.
