Pyrokinesis:
The ability to create fire without any trigger or help (contrary to Pyro). Circe can even throw controlled fireballs and create shields by using
"solid fire". She is also able to control the fire's heat (from 80°C to about 80.000°C) and form (e.g. ordinary flames or heat blasts).
Fire/Heatblasts over 2000 cost an increasing amount of energy (one blast at maximum heat strips her off all her powers except for her resictance
for two days) while natural flames can be created effortlessly.
Like other mutants with advanced pyrokinesis abilities (Sunfire & his sister Firestar e.g.), she is able to fly (sonic speed).
Anti-Pyrokinesis:
The ability to extinguish any fire by will. However, the larger the fire the more energy it takes. She would never be able to stop a whole forest from
burning but could calm the flames down.
In addition, Garnet is able to absorb every fire she created herself and thus regain the used energy.
Due to her mutation, her body cannot be hurt by temperatures less than 2000°C, deadly burns can only be caused by temperatures over 20,000°C.
The invulnerability against her own fire is infinite.
Like most of the students, she is capable of basic martial arts skills but having concentrated on her natural talents first, she needs to be trained
in those regards.
History:
Being the only child of a fashion designer and Maxwell Ferell - founder of Ferell Enterprises, the leading company in the IT trade -, Garnet grew up
having everything she wanted and much she hadn't asked for.
Protected and surrounded by a loving family, she lived in a huge manor in Beverly Hills, going to school as every other normal $30,000 per month
child in her district, had devoted "friends" she changed every season so they went with the latest fashion and was so busy with being popular and
adored that she forgot to learn what *really* is important in life. Nevertheless, having a father developing computers and related HiTech systems
obliged her to come along with it as well. Even finding some fun in it, she happened to become an expert regarding computer systems of all kinds.
Her parents, however, were both mutants without knowing. Sure it was strange that every time Julia was angry a violent storm came up letting tiles
fly off the roofs. Of course, nobody could understand how Maxwell seemed to know exactly what his competitors were planning but as those powers
were too vague and sporadic, nobody thought of mutations.
Shortly after Aurora had turned 16, the small family discovered her power. It was one of those boring rainy days one either spends with a good book,
the box or a nice talk. (Un)Fortunately, her parents had chosen the last option and Aurora was incredibly bored. A candle stood on the table they all
were sitting at and having nothing else to do, she just stared at the wick wondering why they hadn't lit it. With a sound as if one had used a match,
it suddenly started to burn. Garnet's father - using once again his powers without knowing - guessed his daughter could be a mutant and let her try
it with some wood in the fireplace. Not believing she was a freak, Aurora got mad.... and nearly burned the house down.
Although loving her dearly, Aurora's parents decided to give her somewhere she would learn to control her powers. After all, business was business
and a pyromaniac as a daughter would have been very negative for the image. Since Garnet wanted to live in a boarding-school anyway, the only
problem she saw was to live "together with a bunch of freaks without any taste of fashion".
After one week at Xavier's, she had more enemies than students (even the teachers and the caretaker couldn't stand her) due to material girl's
lack of adaptability and uncompromising behavior. As money didn't matter (her parents didn't only make an enormous contribution to the Institute
but kept on sending her money), Aurora tried to buy herself some friends as she used to back in Beverly Hills but had to learn she would have to
change to be accepted. Slowly and with the help of some people who hadn't fully given her up, she managed to integrate herself and made real
friends... for the very first time in her life.
After three years at Xavier's Institute for Gifted Youngsters, Circe - as she was called after the proud Greek enchantress, a daughter of the sun -
didn't only increase the control over her abilities near perfection but integrated herself fully into the group.
Personality:
Having enough, Garnet can afford to be generous. Money doesn't matter which is not only due to her parents but also to an immense change of values.
Being at Xavier's she realized what really counts and is now a loyal friend, ready to help where she's needed, outgoing and able to compromise or even admit
she was wrong.
However, her pride is unbroken and rules her whole personality.
Although appearing superficial from time to time, she has no problems with deep and complex thoughts and hardly ever shows when she is hurt, be it mentally or physically.
Aurora is totally aware of her beauty and intelligence, however, usually she doesn't
show off with it or even makes a small remark about it.
She would rather fight to the death instead of letting others humiliate her but tries not to do what she doesn't want to be done to herself.
In addition, she has excellent manners (normally) and articulates properly; anyway, IF she becomes really angry, it would be better not to stay near
her...
Likes:
Although money isn't the center of her life anymore, Circe is still very much into fashion; shopping in general (with her personal "shopping
slave" as she likes to call him teasingly. Who it is changes depending on who she talks into coming with her. The poor guy's job is to carry everthing
she bought. Aurora doesn't force anyone to come with her though and also loves female fellow-shoppers to advise each other).
Possessing every possible platin credit card, she enjoys buying clothes, accessories and technical devices of all kinds.
Since skirts, dresses, tops and bikinis (among a lot of other things) are useless if you can't wear them and have the boys stare at you (*hrm* well...),
Aurora loves swimming in the Institute's pool and bathing in the sunlight to keep her bronze tone.
Strangely enough, reading is also a part of her hobbies (with Shakespeare and Crichton among others being her favorite authors)
as is listening to music (Soul, R'n'B, Pop and Soft Rock, sometimes Classic) and using/improving her powers in combat or training.
Dislikes:
Being called arrogant. She's really trying, you know!? Duh!
People like she used to be herself in her childhood. When some occassion is coming up and she's got NOTHING that would suit it.
Ice! The warmer the better (water is an exception)...
People with NO taste of fashion.... although she rather feels pity for them and tries to help them out of that terrible misery.

"No, Garny, not another....."
With something sounding surprisingly much like *thwag*, a piece of fabric which was supposed to be a dress landed on the already considerable
heap carried by Aran'kla.
"Are you absolutely certain you *need* all of this.... whatever it is?" , he asked helplessly from somewhere behind a brassière.
Sighing at so much ignorance, Circe turned shortly away from a $5,000 skirt she was admiring.
"Darling, you don't have a clue of fashion!" she stated with a dramatic gesture. "What did we just have?"
"Erm.... Prada?"
"No.... the season, Aran, the season. It was winter!" Aurora felt this explained everything and turned back again.
His face - if one could have seen it - was dominated by a puzzled expression. "So....?"
As if explaining why it hurts when one touches something cooking, the ebony-haired said checking the skirt's quality.
"Winter is a season as is spring which we have now. You cannot wear the same things in both seasons, hence, you have to buy new ones or..."
Garnet turned around again wearing a disgusted expression ".... wear last year's collection. What do you think about that?"
"Oh yeah, it would be terrible to wear last year's collection!" Dryad agreed ironically thinking of *his* clothes which were mainly three years old.
"No, dum-dum, the skirt! What do you think about it?"
"Where's the fabric?" The young man suggested having thrown a look at it.
"Oh duh! It's *spring*! Next time, I'll ask Madison again. *She* has style!" Cocking her head lightly, she added
"...but you've got muscles so you're allowed to come with me next time as well."
Her broad grin made clear she was just fooling around and Dryad knew she'd look like that... although a little nothing hindered him in seeing it.
(If she gets accepted, Aurora could be called to replace Sean at the GSF... whatcha think? I talked with Loza about the rival factor with her and Frost
and we agreed it could be interesting as they're so very different... Ah, besides, I chose Charisma Carpenter appearancewise)
