B.C. Spirit Walkers! - Let's Do The Sea Wall!!
Hi Guys,
I know we have allot of members in Beautiful British Columbia, so let's show everyone what we can do to raise money for uveitis research.
I know we are all very spread out, except for Steve who is only about 20 minutes from me, but maybe the rest could arrange a family visit or visit to the eye care centre (talk to your eye guy about getting an FA or something) and you could make the 2 hour treck down here, and we could walk the Sea Wall, I thought Stanley Park would be the best place to do it, and we could get some awesome pictures and I could make-up a Blog with lots of pictures and make everyone else really jealous and show off out city (also host of the 2010 Winter Olympics )
We could base at my place, I live only about 15 minutes from the park (depending which lanes are open) and we doggies would be welcome. I may be in the middle of training with my new Guide Dog (I think they will be choosing one for me Tomorrow!!), but the trainer could walk with us if I am not adept enough yet, worst case scenario).
I lost my Address Book in my last crash, but I did print it off sometime in the last year, so I may be able to contact you directly, but I can't promist it, it is a little out of date, so hopefully some or all of you lurk here and will see this post, maybe Liz or Mike can copy this post onto the Canadian Site as well.
Anyway, I will get a Spirit Walker Kit, and please reply to this thread, or e-mail me at tom_cat(at)shaw(dot)ca with your phone number and I will call you. If Sharole and Mikey would like to join us, or anyone close enough (that does not include you Lori, I know you are over the Rockies and a 2 day drive away, but come if you can!)
I am hoping my systemic flare or whatever will be better by then, but with a little help from Mr. Morphine I know I am fit enough to do the whole Sea Wall, but everyone can walk whatever they can manage. Jordan, I wish you could come with all your needle noses, wouldn't that draw attention to our cause 
So let's get cracking and get this organized - I am willing to do all the footwork (pun intended) and it would be nice to meet everyone (yes, Sharole, we could go to White Spot for a Legendary Burger, and maybe your daughter would walk for us, or in your place if you are not at your physical best right now).
Steve, I know you are a young buck and could walk it easily, but let's get your lovely wife involved too, I would love to meet her. Leona, would love to meet you as well, I have you phone nunber so I will give you a call, and finally have some funky photos to send you.
If I have to, I will do the walk myself, maybe my sister will join me, and she is great at raising money and has lots of friends she has supported through the years, so it's payback time Girl!
O.K., enough gabbing, let's get those kits and sell pencils on the corner or something to raise some money, hey, that's not a bad idea, I could use my white cane and pull that one off  0 just have to get rid of that guy who has the best spot outside my drugstore...
