Back at the base.
She hadn't uttered a single word since she last spoke to Riley and she refused to even look up at any of the others even the vampire next to her who seemed to be coming around. This was all his fault, they'd come looking for him ... who ever they were and he'd led them straight to her. Her face was caught somewhere between angry and upset, but it was hard to see her face since her golden brown hair fell over her features.
They'd left the sun behind and turned down a passage of some sorts, could feel it sloping down gently. She'd just come back to the world of light and now a week later she'd lost the sun again, only this time it was still there ... she just couldn't see it. The van seemed to go on for ages, and Cat began to wonder where she was being taken ... all she knew was that she was a long way from Xavier’s, it seemed like more than three hours, but then she had no way of telling the time.
Suddenly she relished the van was slowing and then it had stopped, she glowered sullenly at the floor, still refusing to look upwards, but she wasn't too eager to start yelling and making trouble since she knew the woman sat across from her was equipped with needles. Even being in the same room (or van) as them made her jumpy, if she hadn't have been chained down she'd have been banging on the door long ago for them to let her out.
She shifted her weight uncomfortably, one of her legs had gone to sleep on the journey and she couldn't even stretch to bring life back into it or rub it, she'd just had to sit there and let it go to sleep on her.

As Spike's eyes opened, he let a soft groan escape him yet flickned slightly as he realized he was sitting right beside Catherine.... Then glanced down at his restraints and over at Thompson...why wasn't he sitting next to Catherine, why was Spike always the one to suffer?
"Well this is bloody brilliant.." He growled drowzily to himself, then shifted about as best he could to straihten his posture and...possibly inch away slightly from the girl. Ancient Vampire and he was nervous over sitting beside a little girl...god what was wrong with him?
"You lot musta got your wires crossed somewhere, see, I've already had your special little operation, thank you, much obliged, so you may let us go now." He glared with rather tired eyes at Joan, who he took for the leader, and then scrunched his nose slightly at the smell of blood...bleh...he inwardly cringed, still having his odd problems with blood.
"I haven't hurt-" He paused for a moment as he thought of Catherine and what she might say and then rephrased his statement.
"I haven't killed anyone, chip works like a charm, I don't need a repeat operation." He frowned when it became obvious Joan and the others where ignoring him, with a growl he simply sulked and remained quiet as he waited for them to get on with whatever they had planned.
"Get that guy on the floor first, then we move the vampire out, then the girl." Joan practically dragged Riley out by his arm, then waited for the others to come, Spike gave an amused chuckle, mostly a side effect from the drug they gave him.
"They remove the dangerous hostiles last Pet, looks like you out rank me even in there eyes..." He struggled more for a moment, but then closed his eyes and gave up, he escaped this once before...he can do it again..
Re: Back at the base.'They remove the dangerous hostiles last Pet, looks like you out rank me even in there eyes ...' Catherine glowered at him watching as a couple of operatives grabbed the unconscious Thompson from the floor, dragging him out of the van and supporting him between the two of them, his head falling forwards onto his chest.
The two men who were meant to take Spike out of the van approached him warily even though he couldn't harm them they still erred on the side of cautious. She saw them man handle him out of the van into the tunnel outside and then it was her turn.
The soldier who had pinned her to the ground moved forwards and unbuckled her from the floor and the back of the seat, she threw him a dirty glance as he slid one hand under her knees and curled the other around her slender waist. She didn't want these men touching her, she feeling very conscious and protective of herself since there was no one else around to stick up for her. She wasn't used to strangers touching her, alright if you were on the subway or the busy streets you were bound to bump into people but they didn't pick you up.
'Put me down, I can walk.' She snarled at him squirming and struggling violently as he carried her to the door, her knee catching him in the side. He cursed under his breath and tightened his grip almost painfully upon her body, trying to stop her from moving. The restraints pressed deep into her skin as she pulled angrily against them, the pain just making her more furious. What rite did they have to take her away from Xavier’s.
'LET ME GO!!' What little remaining control she'd had slipped from her. 'Get your damn hands off me.' She hadn't minded Riley carrying her too much, in fact he seemed to have some kind of calming effect upon her, at least she knew him, but she didn't want this strange man holding her so close against his chest, even though she could swear there was something familiar about him.
'Take me back, let go of me, your crushing me.' She growled, her eyes flashing, still trying to struggle. Jon somehow made it to the ground, trying to hold onto her, he couldn't answer, she'd recognise him and he'd rather she was more restrained than this when she found out it was him who'd killed what he assumed was her new pet cat.
'Murderer!! you left her there!! put me down now.' She was working herself up, she couldn't remember being his angry ... not in a long time and she specialised in angry.

Re: Back at the base.
he could feel himself being dragged, the drugs must be wearing off, he could feel his head clearing up "let go of me now" he spoke calmly and quietly to the two who had hold of both his arms, they did not comply with his request. without another warning he flung what he could of his arms together with all his strength, the agents heads contacted together with a satisfiying bang. "i did warn you" he hissed through clentched teeth as they fell to the floor moaning.
he lifted his head from his chest defiantly as the drugs effect wore off, not caring that he was now in the initiatives own base and therefore severely outnumbered, not to mention a little groggy and still restrained. "Release the girl or suffer the consequenses" he looked angrily towards Jon, the soldiers were reacting now after the initial shock of his outburst so he had to make his move fast, before they got to him he lunged towards Jon, grabbing his arm and pulling him to his feet "its dishonourable to pick on ladies" he hissed, his face right next to the young operatives ear "or maybe you dont get taught honour you inferior little worm" he added, bringing his knee swiftly between the operatives legs, he knew it was probably a mistake, but it enraged him hear the guy's thoughts while he had Cat pinned to the floor, the preffered thing would have been to punch him hard in the face, but due to the restraints his arms were not mobile enough to both hold and hit him.
Re: Back at the base.
With a yell from Joan, Riley helped Catherine to her feet, the restraints making it extremely awkward for her to walk, she wasn't a demon, why was she here? She was shorter then him, so if she wasn't looking up then he couldn't see her face, she didn't seem too keen on him looking at her....he didn't mean to stare...but there was something about her.
His hands, which where not at all tremblinb like earlier now that he's had his meds, rested on her shoulders in order to stop her from moving or falling or joining the fight. He frowned as he tried to look at her face, why was she avoiding him, he just wanted to get a better look at her, he wanted to remember who she reminded him of. His right hand left her shoulder gently placing his fingers under her chin and lifting her face slightly so he could see it better. A faint confused frown crossed his face as he looked over her delicate face and dark eyes before Graham appeared at his side. Placing a hand on Riley's shoulder to get his attention, Riley removing his hand from Cat's chin and placed it back on her shoulder as he looked at his old friend with almost no recognition in his eyes.
"Do you know her?" Graham whispered with a hint of worry at Riley's odd behaviour, but Riley stared rather blankly at Graham as if he wasn't hearing what the guy was saying. After a moment Riley simply looked off towards the wall of the tunnel, waiting for new orders or for this girl to try and escape his custody.
With a flare of anger for poor Jon's suffering, Joan's weapon pointed towards Thompson, three needles shooting from her dart gun as the opposing agent fought with her other agents. Only two of her needles hit Thompson, the last struck one of her own agents that had been trying to restrain him, though Joan seemed to show no emotion towards her miss fire...he got in her way, it was his fault..
Spike shifted about uncamfortably as he was passed from his caretakers to Graham and Forrest while they went off to secure Thompson. Graham glanced from Spike to Catherine nervously for a moment, all the agents where mostly kept in the dark as to why they had to recapture the vampire. Spike stared at Riley, Spike knew why Riley was acting all not like himself, same thing happened back in Lost Angels...they dugged him up and turned him into a mindless soldier back there, much to the Slayer's displeasure.
Riley: So, tell me about your dream. As a Psych major, I'm qualified to go 'hmm.'
Re: Back at the base.
'Release the girl or suffer the consequences.' Cat wished that Thompson grabbing hold of him hadn't caused Jon to let go of her so abruptly. Her right hip smashed into the ground hard sending a flare of pain to her head, the next second someone had pulled her off the ground and removed her from the immediate area of the fight, she glanced up to see Riley and then looked away, refusing to look at him anymore.
She looked sideways, quite pleased to see Jon on the ground in agony, the next second the heard the report of a tranquilliser gun and a moment later two figures slumped to the ground. That of Thompson and another of the operatives, she watched as Jon got to his feet looking pained, he was going to make that man pay for what he just did.
Catherine felt Riley's fingers slip underneath her chin, felt them brush against her sensitive skin, felt him tilt her face upwards so he could look at her. Her chocolate coloured eyes watching him with a mixture of anger disappointment, fear and confusion.
For a half a second she wondered if he was going to kiss her ... men did this didn't they? when they kissed you, they tilted your face upwards. The next moment she remembered exactly where she was, the fact that she was restrained and that she didn't like Riley one bit. She angrily pulled her head free from his hand as Riley removed it from her chin, her eyes staring defiantly at his chest which was directly opposite her face.

Re: Back at the base.
Only those of increased hearing would had the ability to hear the pounding of Riley's heart growing faster as his mind slowly peered through the fog that had been clouding his thoughts and memories. It was still hard to think, but her presence was so familiar he could ignore her for too long, returning his attention down at her as she glared at his chest. Something was screaming for him to let her go, something inside was screaming for him to get her away from this danger. His hand shifted slightly from her shoulder as his fingers stroked against the area of Cat's neck where she had once been biten so many days ago.
He had to ask her, he could speak, the words kept muddling up in his mind when he tried, it was so hard to speak that he just didn't bother. His fingers stroked against the once wounded flesh of her skin once.
"Remember her Riley? Catherine, remember what we did, how we went to get her....remember the vampire, he attacked her-OW!" Spike whispered, but Forrest hit him on the back of the head with his gun, Spike just growled angrily, it hurt, but he couldn't do anything in retaliation.
"Spike! I can't find Catherine!" Riley looked towards Spike, why would he remember hismelf saying that? He didn't recognise this girl, but she was so familiar...he looked back at her struggling to remember yet getting yelled at from Forrest for him to ignore the vampire.
"...I want to stay so much, but it's more then I just don't belong, because I know no one would care if I was human or not. But Spike, if I stay, I'll be putting everyone I care about in danger, they're coming for me, and if I don't go, they'll never stop coming for me." Riley shifted about uncomfortably as he slowly remember things now that his drug was wearing off. He lowered his head as he tried to make sense of what was running through his mind, why would he want to leave the Initiative, he belongs here, this was his home.
"Things fall apart Catherine. Evil, misery, hurt, pain and all bad things - they come and go. But the way people manage is, they don't do it alone. They pull each other through." His eyes looked down at her restraints, he said that? To her...no, it wasn't her, it couldn't be, he'd remember saying it, he'd remember her. He looked away, this was all a trick, he'd remember her, she had a face you can't forget, she....she knew his name..
"We're going to get you back to the school, we're going to make sure you're alright, you're not going to be alone Catherine....not any more.." He frowned, then tried to think again, one of his hands reaching down for her restraints though his fingers only touched them, not undoing them. He frowned as he tried to think...this had to be a trick..
Riley: So, tell me about your dream. As a Psych major, I'm qualified to go 'hmm.'
Re: Back at the base.
Her body flinched as his fingers moved upwards to her neck, lingering on the spot where she'd been bitten, she felt a tingle run down her spine at the contact. The wound was now completely healed and she sported only a scar which showed up pale against her golden skin, but that would fade given time. She felt his searching fingers move from her neck to her restraints, for a moment her heart leapt, was he going to let her go free? But he merely touched the cuffs securing her hands to the metallic belt they were attached to.
'Why don't you see me?' She said quietly, speaking to him for the first time. 'I'm here ... why can’t you remember me, how could you let him hurt Lisa, she's meant to be your friend, your her team leader, your meant to protect her.' Her voice was filled at first with disbelief and confusion then as she continued to speak her tone was mixed with anger, he didn't seem to even care about Lisa. She remembered her body smashing into the tree, her dark eyes searched his for a minute but not seeing any recognition she looked away at the ground.
It hurt ... he couldn't even see her though she was standing a foot from him. Why didn't he know her, she wanted to punch him and scream at him until he decided he knew her, why didn't he take her away from here? They could go back to the school ... he had been happy there hadn't he. She looked up at him once more her eyes feeling tears welling up in them. She seemed to be crying a lot recently, feeling a horrible sensation of sadness, home sickness and depression she suddenly leant forwards the small distance between the two of them. Her forehead head resting upon the broad, warm expanse of his chest.
'Take me home Riley, I don't want to be here anymore, let me go.' Her words so quiet that only he would be able to hear them and maybe the vampire with his acute hearing, feeling two tears slip down her cheeks, feeling glad that they couldn't be seen through the hair that fell either side of her face.

Re: Back at the base.'Why don't you see me?' The Agent blinked slightly as he stared at her restraints once more, watching his fingers touching them, as if deciding over letting her go or not.
'I'm here ... why can’t you remember me, how could you let him hurt Lisa, she's meant to be your friend, your her team leader, your meant to protect her.' Another confused frown appeared on his face, Lisa...that name again, he remembered that name. Team leader? He didn't have a Lisa on his team, he didn't have any friends either, only Graham and Forrest, Joan and Jon...wait...no...he didn't like Jon, Jon said somehting bad about a friend..didn't he?
He tried to remember, but it was so hard, maybe he was just tired, maybe she was mistaking him for another Riley...why didn't he believe that thought? Slowly, her body swayed forward, her head gently resting agaisnt his chest, her voice quiet and desperate...
'Take me home Riley, I don't want to be here anymore, let me go.' Home? How could he take her home, she was being detained by the initiative, what did she expect him to do? He stared down at her head as she leaned against him, why was she so...he just kidnapped her and she was almost finding comfort in him. After letting Angelus take her to that other dimension, after leaving her to be attacked by a vampire, after dragging her out of the safety of the school...how could she find comfort in him? His hands hesitated for a moment, then his right hand raised and gently rested on the back of her head, the familiar feel of her smooth hair... Suddenly he realized what he had thought just before...his memories slowly sinking in and staying with him.
"...I-I.." He stummered softly, straining himself to speak yet acting as if every word was causing him pain he lowered his head, resting his lips against the top of her head as his mind's cleared of the fog that blanketed it just before.
"L-Lisa? Home...oh, god...Catherine, I-I'm sorry..." His other hand reached around her back as he held her for a moment, he didn't understand what was going on, why had he forgotten her? As soon as he remembered the danger she was in, he pulled away and began unlocking her restraints, Graham stared in shock.
"What are you doing? Riley? Man you do this again and they're going to put you in the cells again!" He protested in fear of his friends safty, Riley seemed to be in a slight panic as he rushed to undo her restraints. Forrest frowned disapprovingly as he moved to stop Riley, Spike lunged into Forrest, pulling free of Grahams hold as he tackled Forrest to the groun as best he could with his restraints. Screaming, the vampire curled up in agony as the chip shocked him for attacking a human. Riley ignored the whole thing, freeing Cat's feet first as he knelled on the ground.
"Riley! Think about this man, look what Joan's doing to you! You do this and thing's'll only get worse." Pulling the restraints from her feet, Riley's reply seemed desperate and determined, as well as slightly frightened, but he tried to hide that fear....he still wasn't sure what was going on.
"She's doesn't belong here Graham, she's meant to be at the school, she's meant to be safe, I left so they'll be safe, things can't get worse, not for me. I have to get her back to the school, I have to get her away from us.." He reached up for her hand restraints quickly, glancing up at her but then tearing his eyes shamefully away. He never wanted the students of Xavier's school to see him..not like this, not the real Riley. But he barely even began to remove her restraints before he stopped suddenly, his fingers hovering over the restraints for a moment before he pulled his gaze back up Catherine, his hands still weakly trying to fidget with the restraints. His lips parted as if he wanted to say something, but everything spun about before growing hazy as his body fell forwards against Cat's legs as he blacked out.
Joan glared at Riley's slumped body, the yellow needle seen in his back before she looked up dangerously at Catherine, a poisonous glare upon her face. Graham stared at Riley, even Spike who had been shifting about in pain had tried to stop and watch what Joan intended on doing with Cat and that weapon she pointed at her. Roughly Forrest dragged Spike to his feet, Graham grabbed Riley, removing the dart from his back and then tossing it to the side as other agents picked up Thompson.
"Look's like the next few days will be interesting for us." She amused almost threateningly as she moved towards Catherine, her weapon raised as she reloaded another needle into the barrel and held it towards her.
"Make things difficult, these three will die." She warned heartlessly and without a care over the fact she's known Riley for so long. Spike became rather nervous, for the first time he didn't want to die and now his 'life' was left in the hands of a girl who hated him.. But then joan sighed and decided she was taking the long way around this, shooting the girl square in the shoulder, one of the nearby agents grabbing her before she fell to the floor.
"Take them to the holding cells...now!" She demanded as agents, Joan looked towards Jon to see if he was alright and then lead the way towards the cells in the compound.
