Back from Harmony marketOOC: Right i just moved us on because I couldn't think of much more to do back in Harmony. As for who was in which van I had no idea so I just fuged round it.
As Riley called for them to retreat Ben made a jump for the back of the van and kept his mind locked on keeping the last approaching demons away from the doors while the last members of the team got aboard. By this time he was sweating heavily from the effort of maintaining the various barriers he had erected during their time in the market place and he fell hard into on a the seats. Well at least every thing had gone ok and he had not hindered the group to much. It seamed to him that he had found a good place in this team and that he might get the hang of this whole mission thing.
At that point exhaustion hit him like a tonne of bricks, he didn’t even have time to look around and see who he was sharing a van with or if any of them had been injured. He knew that everybody had gotten out and was content with that. He closed his eye and rested his head on the seat, man he was going to have to put in some serious hours in the danger room in order to build his stamina. His power still seemed to take far more than it should out of him, he now regretted the fact that he had not used it more as a kid, maybe it would never be as powerfully as it should have been but he was determined to do his best.
He went over the fight in his mind and decided that things had gone really quite well, there had been a couple of moments where things could have turned sour but every team member had held their own and he was impressed. Sean and Taylor had seemed in their element when it came to offence and Rachael had done a good job of something that obviously did not come naturally to her. The others just seemed to be following standard procedure. Would he get that good? Would he be trusted with important missions like Riley some day, anyway that didn’t matter he was just happy that things had gone well today. Tomorrow was a whole different issue and it looked as if he was join to have a pretty unforgettable headache to deal with by then.
He reopened his eyes as the door of the van slide open and the others started to get out of the van. Would he had to get debriefed? Or was it just going to be a shower and then bed?

Re: Back from Harmony market
The journey in the van back had been very subdued, Taylor’s use of electrical and agility powers could be visably seen in him, not only with his tiredness which he shared with every other member of the team, but his bright yellow skin tone had diminished a little, becoming paler. Sean was still compsed, but he also was tired, and aching like hell. His back had taken quite a whack from that demon that Riley had stopped from crushing the telekinetic mutant like a bug, he knew that a good rest up and a couple of tablets would be all it needed, but it didn’t get rid of the uncomfortable feeling that now plagued him as the van headed back for Xavier’s.
He had been impressed with the way the team had performed, and Riley’s leadership was inspiring as it often was, he was able to get in the thick of the action as well as constantly having a certain amount of attention on the whole situation; Sean had hoped that if he was ever to lead a team he would be able to follow a similar example. The whole van was quiet, and it was expected, Sean could sense the relief in most of them that it was over and that they had succeeded, even Taylor’s usual powerful emotional state was very calm. Sean’s mind seemed to focus more on the status of the caputured mutants, Madison had come out of it ok, she was a harder, powerful mutant and it didn’t surprise him that she was generally alright, physically anyway. Although he had noted Frost’s strange behaviour when they had first arrived, she had seemed to revel in Madison’s bad luck, he knew that they had problems with each other but it could be dangerous to allow that to come into a mission, especially when they should be working together. Sean had just hoped that the other young man was ok, he was bleeding badly and he hoped that they weren’t too late for him.
The van came to a slow and the doors slowly opened allowing them out, Taylor and Sean hopped out quickly, stretching their now aching muscles, although Sean was sure that his would be worse of as Taylor’s powers allowed his muscles much more wear and tear. The pair lingered by the doors as the rest of the team got out; he wasn’t sure if their was to be much of a debriefing at this late hour but he guessed they shouldn’t just walk off.
Re: Back from Harmony market
For the drive back Riley spent most of his time writting down his report on a sheet of paper he had pulled from his bag, his neat copperplate style hand writting remained pretty much uneffected by motion of the vehicle. Everyone had done a great job, except himself, letting Sean get more abuse then he should have been forced to handle just because of his own insecurities.
Looking over towards Sean discreetly behind his own dark glasses, Riley reluctantly admitted that it wasn't fair to be pushing the blame for everything that's ever happened to him onto the single person trying to actually help. More noticably Riley's attention shifted over to Connor who was continuously shifting about, the elder Wolverine kept a firm grip onto his son so that no more damage could hopefully be caused by him.
Even though they had no windows to see if they were close to the school or not, Riley knew the exact distance by the information displayed on his lenses and was getting up to make his way to the door a minute before they arrived into school grounds. Removing his glasses and grabbing his bag, he crouched down in front of the doors and once again looked back towards Connor who had been either glaring at the ground or walls, or staring towards Madison and struggling to get himself free.
Shifting through his bag again, Riley pulled out another sheet of paper and handed it over to Madison, the fact someone was approaching his sister caused a slight growl to escape Connor as if threatening Riley to back away. It wasn't hard to tell something was wrong with Connor who seemed too distracted to even notice they were rescuing him. Looking back over at Madison Riley motioned towards the paper he had handed her.
"You know the drill, if you explain what happened from beginning to end and hand it to me in the morning it would great, I know Connor usually does this sort of thing, but.." Since it often that the two Enrights are together when they get caught up in trouble, when they get back and have to give a detailed account of what happened Connor would always be the one to write up the reports for the older X-men.
When the van pulled to a stop, Riley opened the doors and was the first to step out, taking a few steps towards the hanger doors before turning around and watching the others dismount from their vehicals.
"Some of you haven't been on a mission before, personally I'd find that hard to tell, each and every one of you did an excellent job and helped the team succeed in accomplishing its primary objective." Watching as Talia helped guide the wounded who could still walk and others helping carry the more seriously wounded body of a blonde haired body, he then continued, "Everyone who has been wounded please report to the Med Bay, that includes any scratches and cuts you might have suffered from one of your demonic opponents," It asn't rare for novice Initiative Agents to leave a fight with just a scratch thinking they're ok and then fall horribly ill, or suffer some other side effect, on the rare few occasions when the young agents hide their symptoms it's gone unnoticed to a point where it becomes fatal. More then twice Riley has lost an Agent because they didn't seek proper cautionary medical assistance and hid their side effects from him and the rest of the team.
"Wash up and get some sleep the rest of you," After that Riley allowed his attention to wander back down towards his report, he had no intention of going to sleep, Catherine was looking after his puppy Katie and that meant he had no company for the night at all. He had school papers he needed to look over from his special learning class, and his own homework, he could pass the time till his morning class doing all that.. It was expected of the leader to be the last to leave garage back in the Inisitive to stop anyone from remaining inside and doing things they shouldn't, so it was force of habit that kept Riley there while waiting for the others to leave, besides, he didn't have anywhere important to head off to right now.. Maybe once he was done with his work if he still had time he can go down to the Med Lab and see if Connor had settled down to sleep by then.
How am I going to be strong without you? I need you by my side..

Re: Back from Harmony market
After finding a seat in the van Madison sat herself down and remained completely silent. She had nothing to say, so there was no point in wasting her breath with speech. She was also a little grumpy and humiliated but, as usual, anger had emerged from those two feelings to keep all emotion out of sight from everyone else. The only one who would have been able to see through the angry look was Connor, but he was not quite himself at the moment so it seemed that no one knew what she was feeling.
The reason she felt humiliated was because she had been captured again. The first time it proved to be a little scary, mainly because of the ‘upgrades’ the two Enright’s received causing them to have to adapt to adamantinum instead of the usual bone. After that, it’s just annoying and embarrassing. Maybe not everyone would find it embarrassing, but it was Madison and she was filled with pride and to lose some of that was never good for her. That was what led to the grumpiness, along with Frost being part of the rescue team and for the fact that she actually dared to take photo’s of her caged away coated in blood. At least the battle against the demon allowed her to release some of the anger, but there could never a battle big enough for her to release all of the anger she continuously forces herself to feel.
Since there were no windows, Madison either just stared at the wall opposite her or glanced over to Connor as he tried to break free of his restraints, including their father. He had stabbed Hood, leading to Michael to pass out from pain and loss of blood it was for no reason at all and for that Madison was angry at him. There was the fact that he was not himself because of that strange big blue-eyed mutant but Connor should have been strong enough to not fall for her.
On one occasion when she glanced over to Connor she noticed the look on his face and clearly heard the growl that escaped from his mouth. Her eyes followed his gaze to Riley as he held out a piece of paper. An annoyed sigh escaped from her before she took the paper.
“You know the drill, if you explain what happened from beginning to end and hand it to me in the morning it would great, I know Connor usually does this sort of thing, but..” When Madison was younger probably around eleven, she decided to not do her homework for the mere fact that she didn’t like doing it. It was a waste of time when she could be doing things instead of more schoolwork out of school hours. The problem about that was some of her teachers were friends with her father, the Wolverine found out and Madison got into trouble. She couldn’t remember exactly what he had said, but since then she has done a majority of her homework for her classes, coming up with good excuses when she really didn’t want to. Although she did it, it always took her a while to get around to doing as she would always put it off until the past moments. Luckily she had a talent for knowing how much time it would take and she’d start it x amount of hours before it was due in. Since it was always a trouble for her, she wasn’t too pleased with having to write up their report, but as Riley’s voice trailed she knew that he was right. Connor was in no shape to be writing a report, especially when he couldn’t tell what was going on at this very moment.
“Some of you haven’t been on a mission before, personally I’d find that hard to tell, each and every one of you did an excellent job and helped the team succeed in accomplishing its primary objective.” As Riley spoke, Madison got herself out of the van. She watched the wounded get aided out of the van and there was no doubt that they were headed to the medical room. Especially Michael. She hoped that he would be alright, mainly because she had tried to help him and as it was the first time she had ever helped someone, she didn’t want to it fail. Although, she most likely had since Michael was on his way to ‘a better place’ until his buyers brought him back, but how was Madison ever going to know?
“Everyone who has been wounded please report to the Med Bay, that includes any scratches and cuts you might have suffered from one of your demonic opponents,” Madison felt as if she didn’t fall into that category. Sure she had been electrocuted a number of times by a shocker demon, but her healing ability had brought her back to normal. So she was perfectly fine in her mind. Also, by now the pinprick from the needle that had dug into her skin was completely healed, that being another thing she wouldn’t know about for a while.
“Wash up and get some sleep the rest of you,” That wasn’t a bad idea at all. She was coated in blood and while it was dried on her skin, her clothes were still partially damp and she smelt of it. A nice long shower should rid the smell and the clothes would be thrown out. There was no point in trying to save them, she had learned that after her first few sessions in the Danger Room.
With that settled; shower first, sleep, then write up the report to give to Riley later in the morning, Madison left the Hanger. The shower sounding more and more inviting the closer she got to it.
Re: Back from Harmony market"Some of you haven't been on a mission before, personally I'd find that hard to tell, each and every one of you did an excellent job and helped the team succeed in accomplishing its primary objective."
The compliment was not wasted on Ben, he felt that he had not let his team down and that things had gone well. As for accomplishing its primary objective, was there more than one? No, it must just be a figure of speech, the fact that he was getting paranoid signaled that it was getting to be time for him to get to bed.
"Everyone who has been wounded please report to the Med Bay, that includes any scratches and cuts you might have suffered from one of your demonic opponents. Wash up and get some sleep the rest of you,"
Checking himself over in case the adrenaline rush had masked the pain, he made sure he hadn't been caught by anything. Once he was sure that everything was fine he started over towards Sean and Taylor.
" I don't know about you guys but I could do with a shower and then about 12 hours sleep."
With that he started to make his way to the mens locker room. All the while making a note of the wounded and committing things to memory so that he could check up on them tomorrow, there was nothing he could do for them tonight.
Re: Back from Harmony market
When Racheal had entered the van, she had already shifted from being a tiger to the lighter framed cheetah, and once in the van she had quickly shifted her bone structure to a more humanoid form. But other than that she had allowed the morph to fade slowly, too tired to take complete control over the shifts, though she maintained a gentle control, primarly for the sake of the others. More than once she had seen the odd affects caused when a morph occured oddly, and too often for even her liking, it involved the appearance of bare bone, especially with her tail. And she had no intention of freaking anyone out. So everything shifted back slowly, though it didn't take long for her to appear her normal self once again.
Perahps, if she was more used to vehicles, she would have fallen asleep where she sat. But despite her exhaustion, she still had enough adreniline left to keep her awake. But not enough to cover the pain from the bruise on her hip. But she counted herself lucky. The demon hadn't broken anything, including skin. And her fear over morphing was settled, the bruise had spread but caused no new injury, which is what she had feared.
As she left the van, she ignored the urge to limp. A feline, as a rule, will try and hide injuries as best as it can, avoiding showing any weakness. The same went for Racheal. All she really wanted was to curl up in bed for a day or so to sleep. Today had been too much really. Ever since Riley had found her to tell her about the teams her day had been rather hectic. And for a mutant who had spent around three months doing nothing, it made quiet a change. But despite her exhaustion, she couldn't help but feel slight pride as she heard Riley's words.
"Some of you haven't been on a mission before, personally I'd find that hard to tell, each and every one of you did an excellent job and helped the team succeed in accomplishing its primary objective." She *almost* smiled. It wasn't that she didn't really want to, but she just didn't find the energy. Silently she hoped that tomorrow would hold little to no surprises, letting her sleep in. She wished!
"Everyone who has been wounded please report to the Med Bay, that includes any scratches and cuts you might have suffered from one of your demonic opponents." ... "Wash up and get some sleep the rest of yo[/i] Mmmmm Sleep.. Okay, she did purr slightly at that, though it was practically inaudible. This thing about being wounded though.. Well, it was only a bruise. Surely that couldn't do any harm. Besides, she didn't exactly want to go and admit she was injured. Racheal may be nice enough, but her feline side gave her a stubborn streak at times. And this was one of them. She had delt with enough injuries, her own and her brother's, that she was positive she could deal with it. All she needed to do was keep it moving to prevent any stiffness and rest it, she assured herself, before moving in silence to the changing rooms. All she wanted was her bed!
