Been offline for awhile with massive computer troubles! After several weeks of being offline; I am back now but with a bare bones machine. I had to have the tech reformat/reinstall Windows. As a result I lost all my old mail and addressbook. Had to reconfigure accounts in Outlook Express 6. I still have Windows XP Home. However this is a really ancient machine (over 5 years old) so I don't think I can upgrade much which is bad. I throw away two important programs several years ago. One was WinZip 8.x (floppy diskette) and the other was a bundled version of Word 2002. I think Word was bundled with MS Works and I didn't want or need it. Until I hear from the Winzip folks about systems requirements of Winzip 11.0: I can not download anything not even my IPB stuff. Sad. However, I can use the Net and get my mail. I think I'd be lost without my winzip but at least I still have AOL and if I download something on AOL, they'll unzip it for me if need be.

Re: Been offline for awhile with massive computer troubles! I emailed the tech and turns out that I could upgrade to both Media Player 11 and Winzip 11.1. So I did that. I bought WinZip 11.1 and at the time of purchase there was an option to buy a disk. I did that and it came a couple of days ago and was even in a nice DVD case. It was a CD-ROM. WinZip 11.1 fits XP or Vista. That is why I bought the disk. Still need to have the tech help me get my old mail and addressbook back somehow. I'll call this Friday afternoon about that. I downloaded Acrobat Reader 8.1 and a free trial of Photo Impact 12 (graphics program). I also got ColorCop back. I'm not found of this free virus thing called AVG though but will keep it till dino (short for dinosaur) dies. The tech thinks it will make it 1 year. Lets see. At times it makes an awful noise!
