Betti
Hi Betti. It was good to hear your voice on the phone and I am so pleased for you and Bob that things seem to be going so well. I tried to send along the pictures we talked about, but the email address I have for you "bounced," so it may be out of date. When you get home, drop me a line and I'll forward the pictures.

Best,

Liz

hi liz
hi liz,

i have two emails, one for work, betti giles at aol dot com. the other bettigiles2 at aol. Most people send to both to be sure I check bc I seem to get so busy with work that I don't get a chance to check one or both of them. i check on bobgiles34 at aol, bob's email a lot too bc we often send things to people from both of us. bob likes email so it is easier to be sure he sees some things if i use his a lot so he sees replies. in a hurry, i just use whichever email or computer i happen to have near. Short version of this is, just send to any or all of the above any time.

I could not find your email on my list the last time I checked, but I have not cleaned out my lists or changed my emails for years, so sometimes it gets tiring looking for an address unless i have a notion of what it is to begin with.

bob never used a computer bf he started working from home and had severe eye problems, so i have bit more knowledge of them than he, but he now loves to read email and blogs so much that you cannot get him off the computer sometimes. he does not like to talk or read about eyes though. i am slowly slowly helping him get a bit of knowledge and get him to be more involved in his own treatment when he wants. my friend next door stays on the net to get help when her children or other family members have illness, but told me she hates to read anything if it is her own illness.

well, it was great to talk with you a few minutes. i think of you often when we are there, but often we don't get enough sleep the night bf flying in one day, then Bob has his appts the next and we usually fly back the next. trying to learn the best ways to help him, and the stress of it all knocks me out too,so I tend to sleep the evening we are there after the appts and also often most of the day we return if it is not a work day. maybe coming up on 62 in Jan slows me down a bit too, but i probably won't really ever admit that to myself.

how are you feeling? it sounds like you had a serious surgery.

i just watched a spooky movie while writing letters, snail mail, and did not get the first of it or the name, but it was quite spooky. set in new orleans, and then the bayou and lots of voodoo stuff. i don't like scary or spooky movies usually, but i could not resist the setting. new orleans has a very interesting collection of people and beiefs, and lousiana itself is a pretty and interesting state. too bad we have such a high crime rate and low average level of education. baton rouge was a fairly save city bf the hurricane brought so many new in, increased the population and then the crime rate. Wish they could get a handle on it.

If you like spooky voodoo stuff, I will look up the name of the movie for you.

Sorry I did not see your post for so long.

betti
