Well anonymous, first of all in American daily usage (not 'official' usage) pontificating is generally used as a substitute for climbing on one's own soapbox, or expounding upon a subject at great length, usually one that has some personal passion attached to it. In this case I would think that Jim's comments could be classified as pontificating and that it would not be a 'bad thing' as the wretched Martha would say. Secondly, you asked if this is the proper forum for such discussions? If you mean forum to be the site as a whole, then absolutely. BeefyBoyz is first a place that reflects the views of its creators, and that would be the boyz themselves, a.k.a. Bob & Jim, second it is a place of community and that doesn't mean a substitute for a pickup joint where guys can find a cheap date, but a place where ideas and experiences, both agreeable and disagreeable may be exchanged. Yes, vanity does reign supreme here, just look at the repeat updates that seem to happen, but then isn't that part of what we are, over inflated egos to deal with the continuing @#%$ that the world heaves at us because we are different? So blast away if you care to, it is what we call freedom of expression here in the states, but do remember that there are real people with real feelings that receive your criticism. I also think that there was more to Jim's story that provoked his comments, maybe we will hear them someday, maybe not. By the way, I don't blame you for not sharing your email, the current provider of services for this discussion board is not very sacred with info they capture. I suspect that Jim will be taking this in house and I could guarantee you that nothing given to him would ever be distributed to the net without your consent.
