Black Market Mutant Trade - Rescue Mission to Harmony
Most of the students had arrived, some still getting suited up, others waiting outside, they were traveling by two cars, students weren't the only ones going though, Wolverine was there, and he made it sound as if some others will be joining. Logan had stormed off into the drivers seat while he impatiently waited for everyone to get ready.

Riley had changed earlier on, and had been standing in front of his locker, he knew something was wrong with him, he knew that it was dangerous to go on missions.. so why was he too scared to tell anyone? No.. no he wasn't 'scared'.. it was so confusing, he didn't want anything to be wrong, he hasn't been sleeping well, and he's been stressed for a long time, it was probably nothing, just his exhaustion getting the better of him. Unlike most of the other students, Riley had a belt about his waist, a gun attached to his right hip and a few small odd devices also hooked up to his belt. He wasn't a mutant, though only a very few handful knew of that, Catherine being one of them. But it meant he didn't have the abilities others did, his genetically and chemically enhanced strength, stemina and all other modifications on his body hardly seemed to hold up well against things llike shapeshifters and Sean's optic blasts and mind abilities.

In the Initiative Riley had been one of the best on his team, the strongest, always the smartest, and even though Riley wasn't consiously thinking he ought to still be of higher strength to everyone else, he couldn't help by feel dwarfed by these mutant powers around him. There was a quasey feeling in the pit of his stomach, and he could his heart was racing now, he didn't know why, he was usually so calm before going out on a mission, but he felt so off right now.

Since he'd been there before the others, he had been standing there now for a duration of at least just over ten minutes. But for him it felt like just a few moments, the stress on his body, which was also used to being tended for continuously by the special care of the Initiative, which usually involve some fresh batch of drugs being flooded into his system. He didn't notice the movements of the other guys in the male change rooms, looking highly distracted as he lingered in front of his closed locker, one hand reached up to rest lightly against the steel door. It was like he was having an adrenalin rush, it was hard to explain since there was nothing happening to jump start his body into such a reaction.

He started feeling anxious, he wanted to get out and do something, he had so much pent up energy he wanted to release onto some kind of victim. He wished X-force was going out, then he'd have Catherine nearby, he sulked at the thought that she wasn't here, but also felt good for the fact she wasn't getting involved in any dangerous situations.

TBC: Any X-men teachers that want to join along are allowed to, otherwise only X-change and X-treme teams are permitted to post here!

Re: Black Market Mutant Trade - Rescue Mission to Harmony
Taylor and Sean had been two of the first to finish suiting up in the locker rooms not far from the hanger in the area that was hidden underneath Xavier's mansion, this was where all the exciting things happened.

Sean had been down here a lot, both he and Taylor had trained down here, but Sean was always brought down here if his mother was working here and his father couldn't look after him when he was younger, he knew the whole mansion like the back of his hand and this area was no different. As a young boy he had often snuck into the locker rooms just so he could look at the uniforms that both his parents and the older X-Men would wear and so he could dream of what it would be like to go out and fight the ‘baddies’. Now he was wearing that uniform and was waiting to go out on a rescue mission to Harmony.

Taylor however was feeling a little uncomfortable in the uniform, although he had trained in it a number of times this was going to be his first mission on one of the teams he was assigned and he was both nervous and excited. As he was older than most of the others he had lived with his powers for longer and was able to control them almost perfectly, he just hoped that now he wouldn’t loose that control because of his nervousness.

The pair of them closed up the lockers that had held their uniforms and walked from the locker room, both of them straightening their uniforms, which were almost identical. However, due to Taylor’s powers his gloves were silver, laced with metal thread so that his electrical powers could be used through his hands. Also across his body were similar plates of metal so that if he needed to eject an electrical burst from his whole body he would be able to. Sean had fixed his visor on, swapping his usual glasses for the visor like his fathers which allowed his optical blasts to be used if needed.

They both walked quickly down one of the corridors and into the hanger bay, both a little surprised that they were one of the first to arrive, stood over by a pair of cars was Riley, he had also suited up, his utility belt fixed to his waist. As they walked up to the other man they both smiled at him, Taylor running a hand through his thick long hair so as to get it out of his face;

“Hey Riley,” Sean said, Taylor nodding as a welcome, “We are here and ready to go, are we early?”

Sean looked at his X-Force superior, he still didn’t know why exactly the older man always seemed a little uneasy around Sean, as far as he knew he had never done anything to warrant it, but still he ignored it, being mature just as his father would have been when Wolverine would attempt to taunt or wide him up. Taylor however hadn’t noticed any kind of atmosphere between the other two since he had arrived and still didn’t see it; his ignorance of the situation allowing his to keep smiling in an attempt to hide the nerves that were just getting worse.

Re: Black Market Mutant Trade - Rescue Mission to Harmony
Although he had been warned by Riley that he was to join the teams going out on the mission, Ben couldn't help but feel shocked when they were finally summoned. It was a bit before midnight and he had been considering going to bed and now he was headed to the changing room next to the hanger.

Having only been down there a couple of times, when he had followed Sean and Taylor when they were training, he still had to look around when he reached the mens changing room. To his surprise he found a locker with his name on it and inside it was an X-men uniform. Strangely this fact made him feel a little sick, he was only just realizing how important all this was going to be. He only hoped that he would not let anybody down.

Pulling out the uniform he was astonished to find it a perfect fit, but even more so by the fact that it covered every inch of skin except his face. This would allow for any light changes during the mission and included in the uniform was a light sensitive pair of sun glasses. Everything to insure that his allergies were not going to be a problem.

Realizing he had probably taken a little to much time over suiting up he headed for the door into the hanger. It was only when he came in sight of the others standing there that he realized how self conscious he was in this uniform. Even though the others were dressed similarly, he still felt somewhat silly but he was just going to have to cope with it.

As he walked up to stand next to Taylor, he felt his stomach not with worry and anticipation. He grinned at his friend from behind his glasses and hoped that he would mess up. He had no idea what there mission was about and as he looked around at the two cars he couldn't help but feel daunted by the man sat in the drivers seat of one of the vehicles. This was if anything definitely going to be an experience.

Re: Black Market Mutant Trade - Rescue Mission to Harmony
“Hey Riley,” It was Sean, Riley may have started getting paranoid around Sean early on in their leadership role together, but he was more nervous now for the fact that he wasn't sure if Sean could sense his emotions, since feelings were different to thoughts, “We are here and ready to go, are we early?” He was a little distracted with trying to subdue any powerful currents of confused emotions that were rushing through him right now.

Althought Riley looked over towards them, he seemed rather distant as he watched them quietly, taking a moment to realize Sean had asked something. Taylor seemed happy about something, it didn't seem fair, Sean found a member of his family the same time Riley had lost his child.

"We depart at 00:15 hundred." He replied quietly, which meant they still had about ten minutes for the others to hurry up and arrive. Talia trailed into the hanger quietly but instantly caught Riley's attention since he was facing the entrance. "I'll be in the car." He sounded anxious, in a bored way, at the same time he sounded and looked a little irritated even though nothing was causing it as far as the others would know. Even though he said he'd be in the car Riley moved off to one of the doors, the male shower room which was used often after missions. Once inside the room he unzipped one of his pockets on his pants and pulled out a small pill, one of five he had stuffed into his pocket earlier. With his heart implant eating away at any new drug invading his system it meant it was making it hard for any of the medication he was taking to have any effect.

Taking a drink of water from a fountain to wash it down, Riley then quickly splashed water onto his face run his gloved hands threw his hair quickly while he walked out of the shower room.

"Please do at least five minutes warm up." There was obviously something bothering him but that could easily be placed to the fact that people were late and one of his best friends were missing, then again no one has been told that the Enrights are in trouble. "You were all supposed to be here at a quater to twelve." It was common for the students who were new to these missions to rock up later, not because they choose to stroll up late, but because they are nervous and usually take a little longer to suit up and admire the uniform and hang about for friends. Riley's hand took hold of the handle on the back of the van and opened it, slipping into the back of the van and leaving the door open. Wolverine was in the front of passanger of the same van, the windows were heavily tinted so it was impossible to see inside, Riley wondered how it would feel to know your children are in danger..

The X-van reminded Riley of the Initiative vans, like the one he and Catherine had been confined in with Spike when they captured the vampire and Catherine got caught up in the attack. Riley sat down near the entrance, buckling in, benchs running along the side of the van for people to sit and belts which crossed over their chest. Riley slipped on his dark glasses, they looked impressive, though he didn't wear glasses so it was a little unusual for him, but they were highly advanced. Since he was used to having technology on his side ever since he left the Initiative he's been collecting additional trinkets to help him out in the battle field. The special lenses more like scanning computer screens, able to do a few different functions. Pick up movement, heat sensory, nightvisor, other smaller functions like tracking the movement of a certain thing he locks on.

He's had them for over a month now, he had been testing it at first on Catherine, able to take pictures and uplink it to the Initiative files he has on his laptop to gain information on her. Of course he already had read the file but he was just testing to see if it worked. He had remembered a few students around the place didn't have any government files, such as Heath, Arlen, others with unusual backgrounds or people who's files weren't correct. Most of his late night time had been spent writing out bio sheets for people, or searching up information on other people's past to add to his detailed biographies.

Pulling a small device from one of the pouches on his utility belt, Riley put it into his ear, his hand slipping about his back to pull out the cap made of the same material as his uniform he had shoved in his belt while at his locker earlier, tugging it down over his head to obscure his face while he dropped his gaze. Though he didn't usually wear a hat, if they were going to a demonic area then it was most likely a famous Initiative agent would be easily noticed by his former victims he had hunted down.. and still was until Beast forbid him from recover in the MedBay when he got too badly beaten.

He hadn't told anyone about his glasses yet, and had not intention really, he wasn't keeping it a secret, he just wasn't asked to give a complete report on his equipment, so unless asked or he wanted to show something, then it'd be up to them to find out on their own somehow. Where Riley was sitting meant he could still see Sean and the others, turning his head over towards Sean for a moment before looking ahead and staring at the wall of the van, though he was really watching his glasses as they loaded up and where connecting to his hard drive in his room. In the corner of his vision there was a time display which would count down to tell him how long there was until they arrive at the Market, he was piggy-backing on a few signals which ment he was hacked into major systems and had access to satalite enabling him to track the progress of their driving.

Xavier owned the satalite, but Riley hadn't asked permission since Xavier is in a coma, Riley will inform the Professor when he wakes up, everyone else seemed so busy and Riley didn't want to bother them, he wasn't intentionally trying to be sneaky.

Re: Black Market Mutant Trade - Rescue Mission to Harmony
Although she had spent much of the remaining day exploring the lower levels after being warned about the up-coming mission, the feral mutant still managed to turn up a little later than she had intended. She streached, though not from tiredness of the late hour. Although she had started to adjust to being awake during 'normal' hours, the night was still hers. She smiled to herself as she made her way towards the gathering of those who had been rather more prompt than herself, into the hanger bay. Not that Racheal really realised, or cared that she was late. Even if she hated to keep people waiting, she held on to a hope that she wasn't the last to arrive.

Her gaze turned from the group to her arm as she neared them, her suit being what could only be described as 'absorbed' into a slight morph as her arm gained the distinctive orange fur of a siberian tiger. She had already tested the clothing for how well she could morph in it, glad that at least she could actually absorb clothing into her morph, but she couldn't help but frown. Even though it was possible, it wasn't as comfy as her normal attire. Oh well, she had wanted to fit in before, so she couldn't exactly go against the norm on this.

Earlier she had been annoyed at herself for not exploring the lower levels properly before. Or for getting more involved in the student life. Perhaps she could try teaching herself again, it had been awhile since she had tried that.

She shook her head slightly, her long hair tied back out of he way, glad she had at least got her hands on a couple of now highly cherished hair bands. Pulling herself from her thoughts, her eyes turned to the group. Before hand, the thought of being self-concious or even amazed at the uniform, hadn't crossed her mind. But suddenly she couldn't help but feel a little uncertain now as she approached the others. At least she recognised a few faces, namely Ben's and Taylor's, although she had not spoken to the latter.

Sighing slightly, she nodded to the small group, standing slightly apart from them, not surprised by her sudden wish to get out of the place, but annoyed at it. Silently she cursed herself. After all, she had been here for three months, and she hadn't done a thing!

Re: Black Market Mutant Trade - Rescue Mission to Harmony
In an attempt to lighten his mood a little Ben elbowed Taylor gently in the ribs. He was curious because his friend had been grinning since they had got here.

"Is there anything special your grinning about or is it just to hide that sick nervous feeling in the pit of your stomach."

He grimaced to somewhat to show that he was indeed feeling ill with nerves right now. And just to make things worse at that precise moment in time Talia walked in. The blood drained from his face, he hadn't realized she would be on this mission. At that moment he was glade that he was wearing speaks because the shock of her presence must of been plain in his eyes.

He turned slowly towards Sean that had been talking to Riley, in order to put his back to her. Maybe she wouldn't see him; he knew this whole thing was childish and he should just talk to the girl but he just couldn't find the courage.

"Sean do you know what this mission is about?"

He barely notice Rachael's nod of acknowledgments, he was so eager to be thinking of something other than Talia.

Re: Black Market Mutant Trade - Rescue Mission to Harmony
Sean and Taylor noticed the uncertain atmosphere in the room as Ben and Racheal arrived and since Riley left. Sean sometimes felt that whatever he did he was not able to connect with Riley despite them spending quite a bit of time together sometimes because of them sharing responsibilities with X-Force. Sean smiled a little as he noticed Taylor was still in his grinning trance-like state, and it seemed he wasn’t the only one to notice as Ben jabbed him in the side;

"Is there anything special your grinning about or is it just to hide that sick nervous feeling in the pit of your stomach."

Taylor turned and looked at Ben, his smile faded a little for a second at his friends jibe, but the grin soon returned as he watched the colour seem to drain straight out of his friends face and following his line of sight he noticed Talia had just appeared. Taylor had had little contact with Talia, for one she was very quiet whish instantly goes against Taylor’s natural boisterousness which could sometimes make quieter people a little uncomfortable.

But Taylor couldn’t ignore this chance to get Ben back and as he bent down a little, his mouth level with Ben’s ear he whispered, a little louder than he should of;

“It seems I am not the only one with a nervous feeling in the pit of my stomach aye Ben, like a bit of blue?” Taylor mimicked Ben’s own nudge in the side and quickly noticed how his friend changed the topic of conversation, turning towards Sean, the one that could often inject a little bit of sense in the others he was around;

"Sean do you know what this mission is about?"

Sean smiled a little, he had heard what his two friends had been whispering about but he knew that this wasn’t really the time for that kind of behaviour, his sensible streak kicking in he turned towards Ben, ignoring the fact that Riley had left the group and gone and sat on his own in one of the vehicles; it seemed Sean wasn’t the only one that had noticed Riley’s issues, otherwise Ben would have asked him about the mission surly, seeing as he would be the one to know.

“I don’t know sorry, all I knew was that I had to come down here at this time for a mission of some sorts. I think its best that any questions you should have should be directed towards Riley, he knows everything.” As Sean began to do some stretches like Riley had recommended as any good leader should before they went out on a potentially physically demanding mission he hoped slightly that Riley had heard what he had said about directed questions his way, surly that would show him that he wasn’t there to steal his thunder or anything like that, maybe break the ice a little, or at least crack it. He smiled a little at Racheal to try and make her feel more comfortable around them, she was another one who neither Taylor nor Sean often saw much of.

“I don’t know sorry, all I knew was that I had to come down here at this time for a mission of some sorts. I think its best that any questions you should have should be directed towards Riley, he knows everything.”

Although Riley was the obvious person to ask about anything Ben was still a bit uneasy around him, whether this was due to the way Sean and Riley acted around each other or just that he didn't get on with the older man he didn't know. He looked around him an caught a glimpse of Rachael, whom he had not had the opportunity to speak with since their first night here.

Since Sean and Taylor had started stretching in preparation for the mission he moved away and decided he might as well go and wait in the car. He really didn't want to be doing anything that might make him feel more stupid than he already was. It wasn't that the suit was super tight, it just felt to revealing in a strange way. Well he knew he was just being paranoid and it was probably just the fact he had never been on a mission before that was making him so self conscious.

He picked the second car, the one Riley was not in, so that he would not give away just how scared he was of loosing control. He really hoped that he had gained enough control over his powers in the last three months to not be a burden to the rest of the group.

Re: Black Market Mutant Trade - Rescue Mission to Harmony
“I don’t know sorry, all I knew was that I had to come down here at this time for a mission of some sorts. I think its best that any questions you should have should be directed towards Riley, he knows everything.” Part of the Ex-Initiative Agent knew Sean hadn't meant anything by that, but for some reason he felt very defensive over that statement. So what if he was smart, was Sean making fun of that? Was he unable to be a good leader now just because he tried to stay well informed? He wasn't in the best of moods, in fact his state of moods had been rather horrid for the past 8 months. Six of the months he had been very erratic for him since Catherine had run off to Washington and he barely seemed able leave his room, let alone run a team and organize things. In truth if it hadn't been for Sean handling the team so well during Riley's 'Off Duty' attitude then it was likely Riley would have gotten into a whole lot of trouble with the faculty of the school.

The unemotional stare that rather blankly was turned towards Sean as the young Summers started his stretches didn't seem like an expression most would feel at ease approaching. If Catherine was here then Sean wouldn't talk about Riley like that, at least Riley was allowing himself to think that, she'd defend him against anything Sean did or said. It was hardly fair of course, Sean hadn't done anything to try and prove he was better then Riley, but being the only human and recently his unknown illness, not to mention that Riley has noticed how Sean handles teams well enough, all added up to his feeling of not necessarily being needed.. of being out classed and out matched.

The usually pleasant young man was recovering still from his depression over both the loss of Catherine and the death of his unborn child, sometimes he was happy and then other times he was quiet and withdrawn. He went off to find Catherine earlier after having left Racheal and he couldn't find her anywhere, he was upset since he wanted to ask her to have an early dinner or late lunch in his room and talk again. Their occasional meals together and horse riding lessons seemed to be the only moments of time he could steal from her.

Riley's attention seemed to drift off as his eyes watched the pictures on the inside of his dark lenses, Talia's furred form rather timidly snuck by behind the gathered group, her golden eyes glued down on the floor as her bare feet silently carried her towards the van. As she climbed up into the van there was a nervous flicker of her tail when Riley turned his attention towards the unusual looking mutant. Her eyes lifted up to Riley, a little unsure if he was looking at her or not since his eyes were hidden behind the glasses.

"Will you all please board the vehicle and I will inform you of the team's mission on the way." Lisa hadn't arrived, but he was hardly going to keep the entire team here just because she was late. If she was even at the school, probably off sleeping in some strangers bed again, any late comers could get on the van that was going to trail behind them anyway..

Re: Black Market Mutant Trade - Rescue Mission to Harmony
Although the feline eyes wandered round the hanger, seeming taking in all the details, her mind wandered, something that had become even more common during the last month than was normal, even for her. Despite the fact the grounds were large enough to even give her long-distant morphs a decent run, she had been having problems just feeling relaxed. Silently she simply wanted to run. She wasn't naturally inclined to fighting, prefering to steer clear of harm. So it wasn't uncommon for her to release her feline's energy in a run. But this last month, she had felt too trapped to relax properly, though she would still be found enjoying the warm, spring sun. So this chance to get out and do something would be her relieve, she hoped.

She knew she hadn't really given the school a fair chance yet. It wasn't that she wanted to do badly, or ignore people, but she just didn't feel comfortable around people. And she did want to give them a chance, really she did. But Racheal wondered now if it was really worth it. Sure, this place was far nicer than anything she could remember knowing. But that didn't make it home, and that wandering instinct had long ago entered her blood. Besides, if she left, she was sure she wouldn't be missed. No one knew her that well. Not really, simply a face that was seen around from time to time. Not that it was anyone's fault, except hers, but then it meant she could leave and not risk hurting anyone.

Racheal was vaguely aware that the others were holding a conversation, but she didn't listen. She had gotten used to ignoring voices around her to let her other senses absorb everything from around her.

"Will you all please board the vehicle and I will inform you of the team's mission on the way." At least she had been paying *some* attention. Her head turned to the van. Despite persuading herself to give this Riley character a chance, she knew that if she had been in morph her hackles would have risen slightly as he spoke. Instead, her shoulders tensed in response. Taking a slow, deep breath, she forced herself to relax, calming herself quietly. This was one of the times Racheal was glad for her rather passive nature, patience was a virtue after all.

It only took a moment to calm herself, and even less time to make it to the vehicle Riley was in. Although she had gotten used to many of the surprises this place had offered her when she first arrived, actually being inside a vehicle felt rather.. odd. Even if she had thought of counting, or had been more sufficent in mathamatics, she would have lost count of the number of times she had darted between the wheels of various vehicles whilst in one of her various domestic cat morphs.

Climbing into the van, she nodded slightly at Riley, then to Talia. Racheal was naturally quiet anyway. But at times she just didn't feel like talking to anyone. And today was one of those days. That didn't mean she wouldn't, just that she wasn't about to make small talk with anyone. Her mind was wandering to much today to make time for conversation. Though once the mission was underway, her mind would concentrate on the task in hand. Of that, she reassured herself as she sat down.

Re: Black Market Mutant Trade - Rescue Mission to Harmony
"Will you all please board the vehicle and I will inform you of the team's mission on the way."

Both Taylor and Sean turned towards Riley’s voice coming from within the van and they both stopped stretching and started towards the vehicle. It seemed that Sean wasn’t the only one to notice the terseness in Riley’s voice as Taylor looked over at him and gave him a slight look that inferred ‘what’s up with him?’ Sean was once again lost in trying to understand Riley’s logic, he could understand that the older man was still getting over all the trouble that had taken place between him Cat and that that depression doesn’t just go overnight, however Sean sensed something that wasn’t quite right in his tone and that if it had something to do with what Sean had just said then there was absolutely no way he could understand it.

The two men jumped into the slightly darkened van, both Racheal and Ben were behind them somewhere, but he knew they wouldn’t take much longer, unlike Lisa who seemed to have not come along yet; Not exactly the best way to start on our first mission Sean thought to himself as he strapped himself into the horizontal chairs along each side of the back of the van. Taylor had just sat down onto the seat, ignoring the seat belt, but Sean strapped himself in so he looked ready to go, even if Riley didn’t exactly want him there Sean was going to show him that he would be helpful, useful and that his powers would be exactly what was needed. He had always been a determined man and he wasn’t going to loose that and even though Riley’s implants meant he couldn’t read his thoughts, his powers were attuned enough to pick up the slight changes of mood that seemed to come about when Sean was near him.

Even though Taylor didn’t have any kind of mind powers, his abilities being purely offensive when used, he could tell that Riley seemed to have tightened up more (if that was possible) since Ben had asked a question toward Sean rather than him. He could see that Ben was more comfortable asking a friend about the mission than someone he didn’t know, but this thought hadn’t seemed to of reached Riley’s thoughts. Taylor sat back a little making himself comfortable, his casual nature obvious to anyone looking at him, and he turned his full attention back on Riley after a quick sideways glance with his yellow tinted eyes.

Re: Black Market Mutant Trade - Rescue Mission to Harmony
The day was... boring.. in fact Frost actually lost the unusually cheerful attitude she had gotten when she heard Madison had disappeared and was not spiralling into the terribly moody and snappish girl she tended to be when upset about something. She was told to go talk with her uncle about what was bothering her, only there was no way Frost was going to admit that she was bored and maybe even a little worried about the one girl who was always getting on her nerves. Madison and Frost always tried to out do the other, whether it was in smart mouthing one another or screaming and yelling till they were seperated by very nervous students or Madi's brother who was one of the few braver guys to actually get between them when metal claws and icy fists start waving about.

Madison and Frost didn't have many friends, in fact, they basically had none, until Garnet Ferelle started hanging around Madison for a little while, but Madison stopped seeing her shortly after they had been upgraded with metallic claws instead of just bone ones. A lot of people avoided fighting with Madison and Frost and the students like them who were selfish in the training sessions and tried as hard as possible to beat the opponents at any cost, even if the others ended up getting hurt. So often the two girls would be fighting together and it wasn't rare for them to get hurt, only Madison had a healing factor and that infuriated Anna Drake to no end.

There were a few people about, all of which Anna ignored completely, why bother with people who will only whinge and whine about things and people. Pathetic waste of mutant powers they were, chatting about boys and parties, they had power and they treated it like a toy instead of a weapon.

Riley had come by to see her earlier and so she had her team list in her hand, standing by the window where he had given it to her and staring down at the names. She was still on both Connor's team, only a new and improved one apparently, she would be the judge of that, she didn't know some of these names and so they obviously were new and needed a test run before she was able to tell if they were really 'better' then the last team. At least she was still on Gold Strike Force, as far as she cared Storm ruled compared to the other 'boring' team leaders.

Storm was both strong AND headstrong and the power of both her abilities and mind was enough to gain the young mutant's respect over the past year or so. Letting her eyes shift over towards the halls ahead as she walked towards the Hanger, and then back down at the names once nothing interesting caught her attention. Connor, he had been one of the few that actually tolerated Anna's harsh words, he must have gotten used to that kind of attitude from living with Madison Frostbite had assumed, but it had meant that she tolerated taking orders from him a little better then she might have if he had been more difficult for her to interact with.

There was the fact that Connor was her team leader and that he had never complained in all the time he has been with her for the cold air that generated around Anna's body. She may be a powerful mutant, and her powers may have increased. but it was very hard to work with people who sook about how cold her abilities make them. Weaklings like them have no right to be part of a team in Frost's eyes, the team papers were all colour coded and so the fact she had a yellow sheet of paper would tell anyone who noticed that she was still on Gold strike Force.

The activities of last year had been hectic to say the least, but how often can one say, 'Hey, I helped save the world from being turned into an endless night by some homicidal vampire from another dimension', not often.. unless you happen to be an X-men of course. Saving the day seemed to be a monthly requirment for them, not that Frost really cared, all that mattered to her was that she gets the job done, and at least some recognition for doing it.

The heels of her white knee high leather boots were about an inch off the ground, she was adverage height, but she had to wear hi-heels in order to equal Madison's height who was a little taller then her. The long white gloves she wore run up just passed her elbows, the short blonde hair was tied into a pony tail and clipped up so that the ends of her hair stuck up, her white frindge framing the sides of her face, though she had a habit to brush them aside and behind her ears, they fell back into place shortly after. Her white dress, both sleeveless and short, had a silver shimmery 'X' on her front, the back of her hands on the gloves also had this silver X. It was from one of her classes, she made it, Anna was not one for those black leather suits, most of her things were light colours, and very pale, as close to 'white' as she could manage without making it too difficult for people to tell what colour it was. But then again, since most of her things had to have some resistance to sub-zero tempratures, she had to use leather in order to stop the special cold resistant lining from being visible.

As she entered the hanger, the doors sliding open to reveal no surprisingly that she was late, the cold manipulating mutant picked up her pace and walked - slightly faster then normal - towards the van. Riley's attention had turned towards her and she merely flashed a smirk as she climbed onto the van.

"Hey fuzzy," Anna addressed Talia who gave a twitch of her tail as she stared at shyly back at Anna, "Yeah," Obviously Talia had said something to the chilly mutant as she settled into her seat and replied agreeingly towards Kurt's daughter, casting an obvious glance at Riley while buckling up. Riley seemed to ignore it since he was staring towards Talia, but then slowly turned his attention towards Anna and frowned.

"Mwah," Anna gave Riley a mocking little kiss as she smirked back at him from where she was sitting beside him, folding her arms and resisting the urge to cross her legs while wearing her short dress as she leaned back against the wall of the van. The doors were slammed shut a moment later, the loud bang causing both girls and even Riley to glance at the door a little startled as Wolverine stalked off towards the driver's seat growling to himself about the other's being late. The back of the van was clearly light by white lights so that everyone could see perfectly, Anna squinted her eyes slightly and cast an annoyed look towards the ceiling of the van to see where the lights were before looking back towards Riley as he spoke.

"The mission objective is merely to locate and rescue Madison and Connor Enright, there's a mutant trading operation down in Harmony market, rumours say that they were taken there with others to be sold." Anna made a scoffing noise to show that she found it amusing Madison was going to be sold to a pack of filthy demons. Riley glanced back over towards her, though part of him felt a little uneasy with the familiarity of driving around in the back of a van doing missions as he had done back in the Initiative.

"Oh come on, can you imagine buying Madison as a pet? She'd so rip off the hands, or tenticals, that feed her." Riley removed his glasses and rubbed his eyes with his fingers before slouching back against the wall behind him and resting his hands on his lap while still staring down at them.

"I'm more worried about Connor then Madison, my sources said the mutants are housed within cages, I'm not sure how large they are, I just hope he's alright with it." Anna seemed to get a little more serious as Riley spoke with a hint of worry in his voice, though clearly displayed in his expression.

"Ease up Finnster, Connor's got Madison, even someone as selfish and inconsiderate as her ought to help him through it, even I would help out," Alright, so serious for Frostbite wasn't the most serious of attitudes someone would meet, but she was unusually cheery due to the fact they were about to see Madison caged and humiliated, it was like the best late Christmas present ever possible!
