 Can the fans give COR a lil boost?...
Ya know, I was just thinkin'...
WE, the fans, made Pitch Black the cult hit film it became...and even though Universal (and a few seditionist fan site webmasters/mistresses) seem hellbent on making certain that CoR dies...WE, the fans, can still do something for COR before it leaves the theatres...
They cut almost 1000 theaters from COR between Yesterday and Today...And even then it STILL pulled in $250k...If it had stayed at full throttle I think it'd have been at least at $75m by now...Universal is killing this movie, plain & simple...
If it had gotten 3500 screens, CoR's current Box Office numbers suggest that it would be doing very well, close to $100 million in fact...
I encourage ya'll to see CoR at least once more (even at a matinee) before it leaves theatres, which at the rate Universal is killing it will be very soon....
Also, it wouldn't hurt to write a well worded RESPECTFUL letter/email to Universal explaining, point by point, the fans dissatisfaction at the way the movie was handled by them...The letters/emails will have to be respectful to get them read and for them to have any true weight...
And a call for the second and third films to be made even if it's at a smaller budget...
Might not help, but its worth a shot, no?...
