Can't Keep My Eyes Off You! (Pre-CO!)
Classes, classes, and more classes! If Kylora had to sit through one more class, she was going to freak! Thankfully, it was the end of the day and that meant she had some free time before supper. Normally, she'd be busily doing her homework for that week or studying for this exam or that. However, right now, she needed a distraction from classes and studies. Period. So, here she was, wandering the halls, trying very hard to remember where she'd been heading. Her green orbs scanned the area before she shook her head in defeat. She had no idea where she'd been going.
"Bloody brilliant," she muttered as she paced in a circle. She'd been there for a while now and the halls still looked pretty much the same to her. "Maybe if I head back to the dormitories..?," she said as she turned around back to where she'd hopefully came from.
Ten minutes later, she'd somehow ended up in the recreation room, not the dorms. It was strangely not as crowded as it usually was though. Eyebrows raised, the elfin beauty made her way into the room, jeans and plain turquoise tee shirt and all. Chambers didn't really see anyone she knew. However, that was okay. She was up for making friends and all. Now..If only a certain blue-haired mutant would show up, she'd be on her way to forgetting about classes and homework!
-has been pestered and threatened with no dinner all day- sorry if its a bit short but i havent posted anything in...... a while, gotta get back into the swing of things... pester me via email or Angie if i dont reply quick enough xD
Oh the joy of School work, it was something Dave did not miss at all over the past few months he had been away. Still at least here he would get some kind of qualification and the satisfaction of leading a semi normal life, with people who understood a little about being different. It had only been his second day of classes since arriving back at the school, yet still it seemed like he had ben at it for a month.
as the blue haired mutant Trudged along the corridors towards the Recreation room he couldnt help but think his time would be better spent catching up with the rest of the class, seeing as they were way ahead of him in their work... still, a few hours rest wouldnt go amiss either and perhaps he'd bump in Kylora, if she wasnt there he ould always wander towards her dorm and bump into her... totally by accident of course.
"hmm.." he muttered to himself "perhaps i should freshen up a bit" a quick look down at his shirt and jeans told Dave that they were looking a little crumpled as he had passed out in them at his desk last night and didnt have time to change before his first class. It didnt take long to get to his room and change, quick shower too before he headed out, the nice crisp clean shirt and a pair of dark blue jeans made him not only look better but feel a lot more confident.
The recreation room seemed pretty empty as the water mutant entered, something that made Kylora even easier to spot... 'perfect' he thought giving her a smile, that saved him from having to trek over to her dorms in the hope of bumping into her "hey there" Dave tried to sound as if he hadn't intended to find her at some point today "what brings you here this fine evening? "

Kylora was flipping through channels right about now. As usual, she was surprised to see so many differences between what actor was playing what character on one of her favorite shows or even what had happened on her favorite shows from her old life. Just when she thought she'd gotten used to this parallel universe, she gets hit with something else that rocks her world. It is quite unnerving to say the least.
Just as she was settling down to watch a bit of a Firefly re-run, the man of her thoughts shows up, blue hair and all! A big grin spread across her elfin features like wildfire as he showed up. "Hi," she responded brightly to his greeting as she changed positions from taking up half the couch to just sitting upright and facing forward.
"what brings you here this fine evening? "
"The need to give my brain a well-deserved break," she said with a grim smile, "You native dimensioners have it easy compared to me. I'm still unraveling the history around here. Though science seems to be universal across dimensions..I.E. Hard!" Laughs a bit at her own inability to grasp things like Chemistry and Genetics. "Though, at least I can ask the plants and animals about their anatomy whenever I get stuck in Biology," she quipped before asking, "And what about you, my BHF? Not having too much trouble, I hope?"

"tell me about it" it used to be one of his favourite subjects at school but that was a long time ago since he actually enjoyed a lesson. having spent a good deal of time out of schooling Dave had fallen a little behind and that was in no way fun having to spend all his spare time catching up to the rest of the class.
"Though, at least I can ask the plants and animals about their anatomy whenever I get stuck in Biology, And what about you, my BHF? Not having too much trouble, I hope?" there was a brief pause as he recalled a slight dispue with one of the tutors about the necessity of actually listening in math, the tutor said it was neessary... Dave didnt think it was particularly as for a change it was something he actually knew already. "well, there was a little bit of exitement in math this morning but other than that minor episode the days been particularly dull up until now" there was a pause in his words as he flashed a glance at the Tv screen, only now noticing that it was on.
"Thought i might as well take a break, i have loads to do still but to be honest i've been working hard trying to catch up with every other bugger in class i'm going to end up going insane and probably eating a textbook... though the amount of information my brain has had to absorb in the past few weeks it feels as though i already have" he laughed, oh how easy it had been when the water mutant had been running from people.
"and on top of all this i have to try and make sure my best friend in england isnt ruining our business" a small chuckle escaped him, their business wasnt really that large and he had left the running of it in the capable hands of someone he could trust, all Dave had to do was check back every now and again to make sure the figures added up, hence the being good at math.

The green-eyed girl grimaced at the math part. She wasn't particularly good at the subject. Okay, perhaps she had gotten decent marks, but she still hadn't enjoyed that particular subject much at all. Call it a sign that she wasn't going to become an accountant in the future. "I definitely feel your pain about the dullness," she said with a slow half-smile.

Ky laughed right along with Dave. Perhaps she wasn't the only one so very far behind in school like she'd thought. To be honest, though she'd spent much of her adolescent life on the run, she at least had been blessed with a mother who tried to keep up with her schooling. Her mother, Lenora, would try to get the proper home-schooling materials whenever she could. She got really good at teaching herself, with the help of her mother and the textbooks she had. Those subjects that she had trouble with, her mother would find extra materials to help her.

"Ah, well, I take it all back then," she said with a smile and a shake of her head, "I definitely don't envy you. Running a business can be pretty tricky, from what I've heard. I keep forgetting..What sort of business is it, eh?" Kylora tilted her head then, genuinely interested. She then grinned and snarkily quipped, "I do hope it isn't something like selling half-naked pictures of yourself. If that's the case, I think I'll take about a dozen or so."
