History:
A mere middle school student in one of the DC colonies during the war, Chiyo was a survivor of a horrible accident due to a military attack upon a nearby military facility that was located in her colony. Taking in the survivors, the DC military forces found the young girl and brought her into a secret area. She didn't know what was going on, since all of a sudden they began to test her in various areas.
The young woman had a right to be confused. The military was testing her because of her school record, a record that stated she was a genius. That combined with that fact that her parents were researchers investigating and unknown derelict in the asteroid belt gave them even more reason to have her there.
Drafted into the military, Chiyo's training in tactics and warfare began. The young woman didn't know what to do, so rather than fight the blatant disregard for her rights she merely followed orders. Years passed for the young girl, she wasn't allowed to leave when the war ended and her training became tougher. She eventually got to the point where she started pushing back, demanding why they were doing this.
So they showed her the Soyokaze, a secret ship being developed from the technology found in the derelict vessel. Immediately falling in love with the vessel, the young woman decided to stay on. Especially if they were making her Captain of the lovely vessel.
Time passed and the Soyokaze was completed. The now CDF began to gather a crew for her, training them just as hard as they trained the fledgling captain. Now the ship is completed, the crew trained, all that's left is for the maiden flight of a ship called "The Gentle Breeze".
