Cave Mouth and Underground Caverns - A Vision and a meetingPROMETHEUS
Prometheus groaned as the first vision's pain faded and he prepared to sit up. His own vision didn't come back though and his eyes remained closed as a new picture formed in his mind.
Prometheus felt a shudder pass through his body. This wasn't safe, he knew that one vision caused a blinding migrane and sometimes other symptoms. Never had he tried two back to back, even when forcing visions on and this one wasn't forced.
The picture formed in his head and Prometheus saw the city park there. Willow, he recognized her instantly, was the first person to form. It was a moment before the blurred light formed enough for him to realize that it was a faerie. Then with the picture formed it began.
**Flash**
Vampires and Demons alike were attacking the Faerie brutally, while Willow stood nearby trying to capture it. He noticed another person though, not purely human but not a vampire or demon either head towards the group of evil, trying to help the Faerie. As he ran towards them though four bright orbs decended, hitting the man along with the Faerie and a vampire and demon. As they disappeared Prometheus was aware of what had happened although he couldn't see it. Somehow he just knew that the vision was connected to the last one about those strangers. The strangers had been from another world and that's where this man and group were headed.
Prometheus thought that just for a moment he saw briefly a glimpse into this world, he saw an instutute and a bald man in a wheelchair with a kindly face. In this world they taught and they helped, there was also sun. Vampires hadn't overrun this universe and no matter what the mutants faced he was convinced that nothing could be worse than the hell he was living.
As the vision began once again to fade Prometheus saw something else, just his imagination but a thought that wouldn't go away. He saw Rayne in place of the demon, hit by an orb and leaving this world. In that moment Prometheus knew what he had to do. He needed her, that much he knew, but she could make do without him if she were in a better world. Prometheus had the power to make life better for her, for the gril he had come to love as a younger sister. Could he deny her a better life just because he needed her.
It was as this conflict raced through his head that the visions faded and left only the briefest of headaches. Silently he thanked the Gods for allowing him a clear mind to think with. He didn't have much time though for Rayne and the boy from the vision burst in through the door a moment later.
"Drian are you okay?" Rayne asked and he looked up to see the fear and pain in her eyes.
"Yah I'm alright actually, the headache wasn't so bad 'Isha," Prometheus replied, using her petname and speaking with a certain sadness for he knew that he had to let her go.
"Aren't you going to introduce me?" He asked, glancing at the newcomer and Rayne smiled.
"I think I'll let him introduce himself. We don't really know eachother that well after all," she replied. MARK
He looked around for a moment, before allowing his eyes to settle on Prometheus.
Mark:"Mark Raven, I'm part of the Slayers gang."
His name might not ring many bells but people always reacted to the fact he worked with the slayer, so he had a habit of informing people of his affiliation right away.
Mark:"I was just escorting her back, the Slayer's meeting someone in the City Park, if you're done with me, I should get going."
He said trying to excuse himself politely. PROMETHEUS
Prometheus had been the one to teach Rayne about emotional control in the first place. As it turned out he had to use his own skills to keep from showing an excess of feeling.
"It's nice to meet you, I'm sure if you're with the slayer you can't be all bad," he said in a friendly manor. "I'm sure you've heard that I'm Prometheus, leader of the Resistance."
Rayne smiled at him, knowing that he loved the sense of power and pride he got from informing people of this.
"You know I'm feeling much better now, not even a headache. Aisha you've been working hard the past little while. It would do you good to get out. If you don't mind Mark she should probably tag along," Prometheus said.
Rayne protested, "but Dre I should stay here, I've been out-" she stopped though upon noticing the look in his eyes. "This means alot to you doesn't it." It wasn't a question. "For whatever reason you really want me to do this don't you."
He nodded, trying to keep his emotions hidden.
"I have this feeling I'm not going to see you again," Aisha whispered as she leaned in to gently hug him, something he permitted much to her surprise.
"Don't be stupid 'Isha. I'll see you soon," Prometheus replied but there was the slightest waver in his voice, something only she picked up on.
Despite him being like a brother to her though Rayne knew that he was also her boss in many ways.
"If Mark says it's okay than I'll go with him," Aisha said after a moment, relenting at last. She could have been mistaken but Rayne would have sworn that she heard him sigh in relief.
"What do you say Mark?" Rayne asked, curious to hear his response. MARK
Mark was confused and curious over why they where hugging and almost seeming to be saying farewell...the City Park wasn't that far away....
Mark:"Sure, I'll look out for her, no need to worry."
He assured the Resistance leader.
Mark:"We're heading to pick up a Potential Slayer, so she'll be safe, Rogue will be there as well, although we might be a little early."
He gave a slight shrug.
Mark:"Rogue said you're welcome to stay with us Rayne, with Angelus and the others gone there's probably going to be a power struggle, we could use all the help we can get." PROMETHEUS
Mark:"Rogue said you're welcome to stay with us Rayne, with Angelus and the others gone there's probably going to be a power struggle, we could use all the help we can get."
Prometheus managed to stand and came as close to a smile as he ever did. "Thanks Mark, I owe you one," he said simply. "Take care of yourself Aisha."
"I will and I'll be back before you know it," Rayne said confidently. "Feel free to lead the way Mark," she continued with a true smile towards him. "I'll have to think over staying with you guys but I'd..we'd be happy to lend a hand anytime I'm sure." MARK
The bodyless spirit gave a curious glance between the two before turning around and leaving their presence, making his way out of the room.
While he waited for her, the ghost began to wonder about their other guests, where they came from, what their world was like....if Rogue and Logan would actually be able to send them back to this supposed paradise.
His mind was pulled from his thoughs however as Rayne was ready to leave, and without any words on his behalf, since he was still somewhat distracted with other thoughts, he lead the way to the Park as she had requested.
