Physical Description:
At the very average height of 5"10 Charlie Coffrey shouldn't be looking down at the world yet he sure tries.
Try to evoke a picture including build, hair length, preferred style of clothing, voice and way of moving. Add whatever else you think should be mentioned. What would someone meeting him/her notice.. or not notice?
Powers:
Apple of Discord - It is rather ironic that a man as egotistical and vain as Charlie would develop powers similar to the tale in greek myth about the apple of discord. Each of the three goddesses vying for the apple believed themselves the fairest and this is Charlie's opinion of himself.
Charlie takes his codename from Eric the Goddess of Strife. He has the ability to spark an argument and cause strife, between two or more people instantaneously. His power comes in the form of a golden tinged opaque sphere which he can form in the palm of his hand and throw out towards a group of people.
The 'apple' causes arguements between parties to arise and thus causes discord. However it's power depends on those involved. If the two people are deeply in love and have no issues with one another then it will cause no more than a brief irritation which lasts no more than a minute. If thrown at strangers it will cause a brief outburst but then all will return to normal as there are no lasting images. Charlie's orb is most effective when there are underlying issues. The issues don't even have to be spoken about and the two people could be perfectly civil on the surface but if there is a problem it will come to light. The more issues, the more effective the apple, the more strife caused. For example if it was thrown between Logan and Scott there would be far more trouble than between two other parties.
The arguments and issues that arise can be about anything. Even deep hidden feelings like a crush might come up in conversation if one person has a thing for another. Charlie's sort of like an Intervention only one not carefully thought through and with issues worked through but with issues put on the table and an explosion of uncensored opinion. He can make things messy and not stick around for the clean-up. The initial orb-triggered argument wears out after ten minutes absolute maximum but the aftereffects remain and sometimes the argument will carry on after the spark is gone because the issues are just too dense.
Can this power be tossed back in Charlie's face? Yes. If someone had a reflective power when he sent an orb towards them it might very well end up putting Charlie's issues with another on the table so he is hardly immune if the right person bounced this back at him.
History:
I'm asking for detail here, not everyone will be keeping their characters EXACTLY the same as Marvel has them (if you apply for a canon character), you're allowed to alter their history slightly, have them change sides, what ever you want, but everything must be here telling us WHY they have done this. Also, you may have to check back with players of other canons characters in case they have made references you thus need to include.
When applying an original character (always a good choice), make sure to try and be as creative as possible. Make sure you put effort into showing why the character has become the way s/he had turned out to be, but note that a dramatic past doesn't always have to make a great character. If you've got a board full of depressed suicide candidates whose parents put them on the streets at their fifth birthday, it's kind of getting dull...
The history part is one of the most significant elements of your bio, so you want to put effort into it. A Poor history may lead to the application being rejected, yet in most cases, we will try to work things out with you, tell you what we think needs improving.
Personality:
Charlie Coffrey is one of those people who honestly believes that the world revolves around him. In school he was the kid who had to be chosen first for every team or he would whine and spend the rest of the class asking why he hadn't been first chosen. If something good happens to a friend he gets to the bottom of why it didn't happen to him. In general it makes him an incredible annoyance to have around unless he is completely satisfied and he is rarely completely satisfied. In a word he is "narcisisstic".
Charlie has a huge ego and therefore can be easily manipulated by anyone who knows what to say. A few strokes of that ego and a few compliments and anyone can have him right where they want him. In fact this was exactly how he became a part of the brotherhood in the first place.
Charlie isn't so much evil as he is a plain old jerk. He goes to extremes to get what he wants and while he does believe that his mutant powers make him better than others this is more a result of ego than of any actual spite towards humankind. He sees his powers as special and yet another thing that puts him above the common man.
In each situation Charlie manages to make things about himself. He's insensitive and there's almost a childlike quality about him in that he doesn't even seem to realise what he's doing is at all wrong. If it suits his purpose he will lie without shame or guilt. He's admittedly something of a flirt who is often chasing a pretty woman around and is very high maintenence yet he's not the world's worst guy. Charlie may have an awe-inspiring ego but he's only verbally irritating, more like a fly or mosquito constantly present and annoying than an actual threat in any way. If his ego is stroked he's as gentle as a kitten. Otherwise he's extremely sensitive and will do what it takes to remedy a situation...this is where his powers and connection to the brotherhood come in.

Doubt about anything, insults and snubs (which he takes very personally), being rejected, being shown up, rap
I like this guy and one day I might want to play him but for the moment I have too little time and too many characters/characters in development for me to continue working on Charlie.
Maybe I'll resume work someday in the future because I still do like the idea for his powers, he's just not top of my priorities list *pats* Sorry Charlie!
