Chewbacca in Seattle!
Hi all,
On Saturday Dec 1,2001 Garrison Titan was asked to Escort Peter Meyhew to lunch at the Space Needle Resturant.
After the escort we were quickly shooed away, and since we were all dressed up we decided to go trooping in Downtown Seattles shopping district -- Westlake Park. But we had to get there so we took the Seattle Monorail.
Needless to say we were a hit. The first place we went was FAO Schwartz where we met with the manager of the section that has the star wars toys. He was so impressed with us that he asked us if we would appear at the toy premier for Episode II
Then we went to Gameworks!
Then we strolled around the shopping area, the Nordstroms reindeer wanted his picture taken with us so we abliged, our Vader rang the bell for a Salvation Army collection site and we took a bunch of pictures with the Seattle Police Department Mounted and Bicycle Patrol Units who were on riot alert for the anniversary of the WTO riots.
On our way back to the monorail a patrol car flipped on its lights and crossed four lanes of traffic to contact us...I thought they were going to give us a hard time about the blasters. Then the passenger Officer jumps out and asks if they can take some pictures of us for his son! It was too cool a couple of the officers asked for info on how to get armor!
Later that evening we went to a night club where Mr. Meyhew was signing autographs, he is a very nice guy!
