A tour of the City Cemetery is true delight for the history buff. Graves from the early 1800's provide a glimpse into local history. Be sure to see the statue of Laura Kelly while you are there and hear the interesting story attached to it from local historians! Local legends tell that on the anniversary date of her passing, a red rose will appear in her hands and the statue weeps.
Hmm...gonna have to make a point to check this out sometime. I only live about an hour from there.

I pass right through that town on the way to our cousin's house. I was passing through there this last Sunday and I couldn't find the City Cemetery. Gonna have to locate a street address and I'll go again. It's not a big town population-wise, but it is spread out over a large area and a lot of twisting little streets.

Whohoo thats great mery. There are alot of hidden cemetaries out my way, some are so old they just hang off the road with no name to it at all. Its very odd. I just gotta keep my eyes open.

I just love roaming around in these old cemetaries. You know some of the best ones are the ones off to the side of the road that are pretty much forgotten about. Love them.
