City streets-They actually have a street called Memory Lane!
WILLOW
Deciding it was safer to stick to the back streets, Willow made her way down into a back street, glancing about to see if she could find a name for this isolated road, and once she discovered the street sign she almost let out a laugh.
Memory Lane.
But her amused attitude was quickly disolved as she heard movement from one of the dark ally's on the other side of the street. She stopped cradling her left shoulder for a moment, dropping her right arm to her side to avoid looking weak, her brown eyes intently watching the dark ally.
Willow:"Who's there?"
The red head called out in demanding tone, she may be hurt, but she still had enough fight left in her to cause some damage if she needed to.
TBC- Anyone.
MATT
Matt stood still, he had disturbed some of the trash that scattered the lane Willow had started down. How could he be so stupid.
He looked around frantically for a place to sink into the shadows as Willow turned toward him. He couldn't just evaporate into the air, it would be to 'showy', she would know someone had benn following her for sure.
Who's there?
Matt's gaze turned back to Willow, his eyes glowed in the moon light, it was to late, she knew someone was there. He slowly turned toward her and stepped out, his silouette appearing in the glowing light from the moon, all that could be seen of his feature was a slight shadow and his glowing deep eyes.
"Hello Willow." He said cooly, allowing her to slowly approach him, he wouldn't let her get to close, he had seen what she was capable of, she was the Willow he knew before.....was she?.....
WILLOW
As she moved towards him, her hand slowly returned to her injured shoulder, glancing about to see if she could sense any one else with him.
Her eyes returned his him, a slight smile crossed her face.
Willow:"...Matt?"
She whispered, she could almost smell the power radiating off his essence, he was one of the few powerful magic users she knew and both admired and even secretly feared. To get into a fight with him was dangerous, and she knew this, but even so, she wasn't the type to willing leap into fights.
Willow:"I haven't seen you for a while Mr. Rosenberg ."
Her words where spoken light-hearted with an air of teasing pleasantries often used between old friends.
Willow:"You've gotten more powerful, I can feel it, good to see you haven't been slacking in your training."
The red head didn't move too close to him, he was still a threat as long as she didn't know what he was up to.
Willow:"So....what brings you to Memory Lane?"
She asked with an air of amusement as well as curiosity.
MATT
Matt could feel her strength, as ever she was strong, even in this new form she was a power to behold. The cool breeze that flowed through the ever night tassled the hair of the two old friends as they spoke;
"Oh, alot of things, and nothing. The normal." Matt said cryptically, neglecting what had happened back home. "I did sense something serious taking place here. Iv heard of your change, and although i might regret this, for now your still Willow, however, try and bite me........" Matt's voice trailed off as he watched the young woman follow his movements and gestures.
"You're as powerful as ever i see." Matt said with a grin. "I also here you have some new friends." Matt left it there, just watching her silently, her beautiful red hair dancing in the breeze.....
MATT
"I did sense something serious taking place here. I've heard of your change, and although I might regret this, for now your still Willow, however, try and bite me........"
The vampire witch tilted her head slightly to the side, soon after taring her eyes away from him and studying the distant buildings.
That so similure as to what Rogue had said to her after her change, it was almost huanting..
"You're as powerful as ever I see."
Willow looked back at him, a faint smile spread across her ruby lips.
"I also here you have some new friends."
And as quickly as her faint smile appeared, it faded away, but she couldn't say anything...he knew so much about her, and she didn't know much of what had happened to him since they last met.
Willow:"They're not here any more..."
She whispered as her hand pressed tighter against her wounded shoulder.
Willow:"You just happen to show up after I've been hurt?"
She asked curiously as she looked over him.
Willow:"Most in your place would take me and use me as bait to lure Angelus and Drusilla, kill the bringer of Darkness and save the world, would that be your intention as well?"
Her eyes scanned the surrounding area once more, half expecting to see magicl items scattered across the ground or hidden away in order to capture her.
Willow:"...He won't come."
She assured him quietly.
Willow:"Not Angelus or Drusilla anyway."
MATT
Matt smiled at her, al;though she was now mostly demon there was a hint of the old Willow in her.
"I'm not with anyone, I'm here of my own free will and i wouldn't worry about me using you as bait." Matt paused for a second, taking a deep breath, "Me turning up when your hurt......no, no coincidence, i saw everything happen in the park."
Matt stood for a second, the dusty cool breeze hitting his skin and making him shiver a bit. He felt like stopping the wind, he knew he could, but he didn't want to, it wasn't his place.
"You said the others were gone, where? and whose in charge here ow without them?" As Matt spoke he slowly approached Willow, her familiar features coming into clearer view, but he knew that if she wanted to those features would distort and her demon would come to life.
Matt now stood only a few feet from Willow, his face plain but with a hint of happyness at seeing his cousin, even in these cercumstances.....
WILLOW
A delicate smile spread across her ruby lips as she watched him slowly approach her, she could sense him thinking about her.
Willow:"Grrr.."
She gave a teasing chomp of her teeth.
Willow:"Spike get's screamy and head grabbing with live food, so, we stick with packaged..."
But she got slightly more serious.
Willow:"Where they went? I'm not sure...but they took Spike...I think Angelus found out...uh...something.."
Not wanting to get into the details about, her, Spike and the slayer's plan of returning his soul, she simply shrugs and asked in a playful tone.
Willow:"What makes you think I'm not the one in charge?"
MATT
Matt smiled at his lost friend, he felt a coldness in her gaze, but he hoped, as he ever did, that somewhere deep within this soul-less being was his old Cousin.
"There just something about the way you hold yourself, about the way you talk of the 'three' that you live with. Don't get me wrong dear friend, I can see and feel the power that you channel and control but it is a different power, one that I understand."
Matt looked around the alley and then to Willow's arm, he knew it would heal quicker than a regular mortal wound, but still it should bee seen to.
"We should get you somewhere clear so that I can see to your wound, of course if that is what you want?" Matt saw as a slight look of suspision feel across Willow's features. "I don't have a stake or a plan or anything, I left home to find you, and now i have. Please allow me to help."
Matt knew that what he offered could be dangerous to him as well as others he knew, but he had to do it, he had lost his other family whilst trying to protect them, Willow was someone he knew here. He watched her quizically for a second to see if he would allow him to go with her. Surely she could ffel the power he withheld, as he saw in her.....
WILLOW
Watching as his eyes looked over her wounded arm, Willow gave an uncomfortable stare as he spoke.
"We should get you somewhere clear so that I can see to your wound, of course if that is what you want?"
Her cousin must have notice her suspision, because he seemed to reply calmly with a trusting tone in his voice.
"I don't have a stake or a plan or anything, I left home to find you, and now i have. Please allow me to help."
He left his home to find her? ...He actually wanted to see her? Even now that she's a monster he wants to help her...why? She watched him for a moment, then slowly moved towards him, she continued approaching him until she was standing dangeorusly close.
She could hear his heart beating, she could smell his scent all around her, she could feel his power radiating from him...but she kept her eyes locked on his.
Willow:"Matt.."
Her head leaned forward and rested against his shoulder.
Willow:"...Will you help me get Angel and Spike back?"
The use of the name 'Angel' hinted she was trying to restore Angelus's soul, it was something she was desperatly wanting to do. Angelus and Drusilla where hurting Spike so badly, and they even started hurting her, but no where near as badly as they did with her love Spike.
MATT
Matt raised his hand and rested it on the back of her head, her soft read hair just as it always had been, and he smiled at the familiarity. For a second he stroked the back of Willows head before speaking;
"If you mean restoring Angelus's soul and bringing some order to this world then yes, I will help you Willow, like you have helped me so many times in the past. But first we must see to your wound, to make this work, we must be strong. Together we are strongest, as ever. But we must move quickly before we are discovered here."
Matt stroked Willow's hair once more, the feeling bringing back so many good memories they had shared, before moving his hand for her to be freed from the embrace.....
