Computer Problems
Well just when I had a free weekend (aside from massive amounts of readings) to post the universe has decided to play a trick and shut down my computer. It won't start up at all all of a sudden and we don't know what's wrong so I might lose everything. I do have use of the other house computer but it's awkward to me and my half-finished posts are all on my computer so I'm not sure how much I'll actually feel like doing and hopefully mine is fixable...
Computer is back and fixed with a new drive (one of them went) and has much space so it now runs quickly. Some stuff was saved but I don't know what and will have to spend tomorrow picking through and seeing if my bookmarks, music collections, posts/other word docs, and graphics are recoverable. Also all my e-mails have been deleted and the new Internet browserness is weird. I was back on the old Photoshop Elements 2 so that's also gone and I'll have to upgrade and learn CS3 or something from my brother. Wish me luck and hope that my posties were not lost!
Re: Computer Problems
It puts me in a pissy mood so I feel self-pitying and sulky instead of bouncy and post-writy.
Plus class was long and boring and my behind is rather sore but tomorrow I only have the one class and I'm home so I'll watch some inspiration and do what I can.
Re: Computer Problems
HMV never has the music you're looking for.
And why are the Angel DVDs so expensive now?
Chels, your new mission, if you choose to accept it, is to keep an eye on Angel/Buffy (s.7) prices, and let me know if they get cheap...
Re: Computer Problems
Haha will do, I'm always DVD watching. I think tomorrow (with my lack of a CD) I'll give in and buy the Dexter DVDs I've been eyeing for the past couple weeks. $33 for the first season of a cable show is pretty awesome.
The guy looked at me like I'd grown three heads when I asked him about Darren Hayes' newest CD.
I hadn't realised the prices had gone up though - what are they now?
Re: Computer Problems
-wails knowing extra DVDs will mean extra time without posting, regardless of what Chels says- xD.... But one only needs to read the Quote section to know aaaaall about Chels and her posting habits (6) -mad cackle, before whimpering as she realizes that might make Chels not post even more- ... -runs off crying-
Re: Computer Problems
*nids* geesh putting down my posting habits is not exactly the way to get me to post...
Boss has me down as working 7 hour shifts Wednesday (yesterday) and Friday yet when I went in yesterday neither her nor the asst. manager even remembered I was working that afternoon/night. *shakes head*
At least I postehed two thingies... only five million more!
And I bought Dexter and zipped through all twelve awesome episodes
Chels... I kinda hate you... well, not really... but... Heroes is the awesomeness! And I'm addicted noooow *wails*
Get on MSN so I can ramble on to ya!
For everyone comes the time when they have to take over responsibility. It stands to argue whether there is also a time when they can get rid of it again.
Re: Computer Problems
Squee another convert! *does the dance of joy*
Uck I'm working all day tomorrow and it's too late to catch you today but hopefully I'll run across you on the weekend or sometime next week. You'll have to tell me what episode you're up to so I don't accidently give anything away but I'm always up for Heroes chat!
Why do you ever doubt me when it comes to TV Matt? I always steer you right!
Re: Computer Problems
I AM addicted thank you... I'm just also very poor and so can't even get started on watching any of it, but I have wanted to for like... since last year before plans for holidayingness even arose!
