Contact details for Mr Ayliffe secretary?
Hi,
Does anyone have an email address for Mr Ayliffe's secretary, PA, or a general email aaddress for the eye clinic in Croydon general to hand at all?.
I've been chasing up my GP's referral and my GP has done his bit so I'm just wanting to find out if I've 'landed' in the system at the other end yet.
I know that the details are somewhere on this site as I've seen them before, I've been looking for them but clearly in the wrong place!
Hope everyone is well and that their eyes are behaving themselves.

Updated details?
I've just tried sending an email to Mr Ayliffe's NHS secretary as previously posted - but the email has bounced back. Does anyone have updated details for contacting his NHS secretary?
I need to make a follow-up appointment for a few weeks time, and although my NHS referral has supposedly been approved I haven't heard anything further yet... so am torn between trying to hurry things along there (how?!) and just making another private appointment!
Sarah has left. Mr Ayliffe has a new NHS secretary. I suggest you phone her (I forget her name) to get her email address. The telephone number is the same 0208 401 3128.
Thanks for that number - I didn't have it previously. Have just spoken to her and unfortunately also didn't catch her name... but she's essentially told me to 'wait my up to 13 weeks for the NHS appointment' - ie no chance of having that appointment in time for my follow-up.
Makes me wish I'd waited before filling in the NHS survey that my MP sent out a little while back...!!
When I finally make it into that system properly, I will post any and all contact details that I have here.
I switched to the NHS and didn't have to wait 13 week. I just made sure that the paperwork was sent through straight away ie I got my GP to give it to me, and I faxed it through, and pestered to make sure I got an appointment for when I was told I would need it. My advice to you is be pro-active. You are the only person who cares about your eyes and your health. All the best Annie
Well, my GP did confirm that the letter had been sent off, but I must confess that I really did not feel up to 'fighting the system' much last week - so I've made another private appointment for my follow-up next week. I'm hoping that I'll hear back from my insurance by then too, and that they have no problem covering this - but will take it from there then!
Good wishes for your appointment next week. I hope your insurance does pay. Mine's with Bupa and they've been paying for three years now. I can't believe they still pay and become nervous each year at renewal incase they say no to further coverage. They pay for consultations, diagnostic tests and ops, but not treatment, although they did pay for the iv steroid early on and paid for a course of anti vegf recently.
