For the non-crafters out there, 2 asterites make one hinge which then sells for 4.4712 gold.

Maligned Avernal Great Axe (28) - 17 asterite
Maligned Avernal Great Sword (30) - 16 asterite
Avernal Hauberk (chain) (26) - 12 adamantium

So far clear choice in emerald line is Great Axe. Exchange rate works out to 0.607 asterite per seal.


Sapphire Items:

Daemon Forged Hauberk (32) - 46 asterite
Corrupted Daemon Crafted Hauberk (32) - 46 asterite
Accursed Avenal Great Sword (24) - 24 asterite
Accursed Avernal Great Axe (27) - 25 asterite

Any of the hauberks appear to be the best choice. (Need to test last type still.) Exchange rate works out to 1.438 asterite per seal.


Diamond Items:

Abysmal Hauberk (22) - 159 asterite

Only tried the one thus far, but doubt anything will beat it. Exchange rate is 7.227 asterite per seal.

Based on these numbers, seals are worth the following (with the labor of converting them left out):

Emerald: 1.3570g
Sapphire: 3.2148g
Diamond: 16.1567g

All the obove were tested by me the second week of July, 2002.

Note: At the moment my characters cannot buy items they cannot use. Confirmation that this applies to others would be nice. I have appealed it.
