Physical Description:
Damien is an average height youth at about 5’9”. His frame is lean and muscular due to all of his training. His dark purple hair, an oddity in itself, has vibrant red streaks and is kept long in order to hide his pointed ears. His eyes are a bright yellow that glows in moonlight, and are shaped like cat eyes. He keeps his facial hair to a minimum, allowing just stubble to remain.
Although he has various physical mutations, he still received many of the traits that make both Remy and Betsy so attractive. His feline features seem to only enhance his beauty.
Damien prefers to wear tight sleeveless shirts and loose basketball shorts. The only colors that he wears are dark blues, dark reds, dark purples, dark greens, and black.
Mother: Elizabeth Braddock-LeBeau (Psylocke)/Unknown (Alternate Dimension)
Father: Remy LeBeau (Gambit)/Unknown (Alternate Dimension)
Other important people: Dominique LeBeau (older sister/human)/Unknown (Alternate Dimension)
Mutant Powers:
-Altered Appearance: Damien looks just like a normal human except for the fact that he has fangs, cat eyes, pointed ears, a long, feline tail covered in purple and red fur, and his fingers end in sharp claws. The only abilities that he is granted because of his physical mutation is slightly better hearing because of his ears, night vision because of his cat eyes, and better balance from the tail.
-Wall Clinging: Damien is able to cling to most surfaces including wood, brick, rock, and concrete. He is unable to cling to extremely smooth surfaces such as glass and steel. When clinging to wood and other soft surfaces, his claws usually leave telltale signs that he was there.
-Feline Empathy/Telepathy: This is a secondary mutations that Damien has no access to at this point in his life. He doesn’t know that this power exists. In his reality, secondary mutations have not started to develop. Once active, Damien will be able to effectively communicate with all feline creatures.
Skills:
-Martial arts: His mother has been training him in martial arts since he was eight years old. After years of training with his mother, he is able to hold his won for a long period of time against her. He has still never won a single match.
-Acrobatic: Both parents have been training him in acrobatics since he was six. He is able to perform a variety of tricks including back hand springs, front hand springs, back tucks, front tucks, front flips, back flips, cartwheels, somersaults, and twists. He is also able to walk on a wire and has been trained on the balance beam, uneven bars, and rings.
-Lock picking/picking pockets/other thief skills: Unknown to his Psylocke, Gambit started training Damien in the art of being a thief on his tenth birthday. He is able to pick most types of physical locks and some kinds of electronic locks. He can also look at security systems and then either disable them or bypass them. He prefers to bypass the security systems because it leaves no indication that he was even there. Finally, he is able to pick pockets with a very high level of proficiency.
-Foreign Languages: Damien has grown up learning different languages for sixteen years from his father.
English- Native
French- Non-native. Fluent.
Spanish- Non-native. Fluent.
Patois- Non-native (the language spoken amidst the Acadians of Cajun country). Semi-fluent.
-Special Equipment: Cyber-glasses were issued to all members of different teams. The glasses are very sophisticated in the fact that they are able to download and project a three-dimensional image of various things like maps and special targets directly from a network located at the Xavier Institute or from another set of glasses, allowing all X-Men to gain the same perspective about targets. The glasses also function as a communication device and homing beacon in case of an emergency. They are nearly useless in this dimension, but he has been thinking about giving the design to Beast to see if he could duplicate the technology for the communication aspect at least.
Personality:
Damien is a very social being. He likes most people, and loves being the center of attention, no matter if the attention is coming from females or males. But even with is casual it’s-all-about-me attitude he still worries about others.
Unlike most of the mutants in the school, he’s seen what the world can be like. Thankfully, when he was transported, he was move to a better world. Part of this could be due to the fact that not only is he in a different reality, but he is also in the future. Everyone that he knew in his old world is so much older than what he’s used to, and that takes some getting used to.
During the hot summer time, he can usually be found doing laps in a pool if available. If not, he will jog around the mansion before scaling the walls to the roof to work on his tan.
As stated before, Damien is attracted to both males and females. He refuses to limit himself to one gender. This has gotten him in trouble in the past in the alternate reality because the girls don’t want him to date boys, and the gay boys don’t want him to date girls.
During a fight, Damien is likely to punch first, ask questions later. He doesn’t put up with anyone picking on him or any of his friends.
Damien was born in the Xavier Institute to two very well known X-Men. The school had only been around for about two years when he was born to Elizabeth Braddock-LeBeau and Remy LeBeau, two of the seven founding members of the X-Men. The X-Men themselves had been around for about seven years at the time of his birth.
Unfortunately for Damien, things were not much better for mutants than they were in the previous years. The only true improvement was that mutants no longer had to live in concentration camps. But conditions inside the camps were almost better than those outside. Mutants lived in constant fear that at anytime, a group of outraged humans would burst through their door, or just stone them out on the street. And what was worse was the fact that the law enforcement agencies allowed this to happen.
It wasn’t until Professor Charles Xavier and his friend Erik Lehnsherr, both known mutants, managed to hold a conference with the President and requested permission to form a small group to protect mutants. The President, who secretly had a mutant child, quickly agreed to allow the secret group to form. This group was later to be called the X-Men.
So Charles and Erik, who now called himself Magneto due to his magnetic powers, set off to find their team.
The first two members recruited were Remy LeBeau a.k.a. Gambit, whose mutant ability was to charge non-living tissue with kinetic energy that would then explode, and Bobby Drake a.k.a. Iceman, who had the ability to freeze water molecules in the air.
The other three members added later were a telekinetic, Elizabeth Braddock (Psylocke), a shape-shifter, Raven Darkholme (Mystique), and a weather manipulator, Ororo Munroe (Storm). With the addition of these three women, life within the X-Men became rather interesting.
Time passed and a romance blossomed between Gambit and Psylocke. After four years together on the same team, the two were wed and conceived a child. While pregnant, Psylocke was put on the inactive list, so another telekinetic was brought onto the team. This one was also a telepath. Her name was Jean Grey.
Betsy gave birth to her first child, a daughter, and named her Dominique. She spent much of her time taking care of the child, and went on few missions. During her time on inactive duty, she convinced Professor Xavier to turn his secret base of operations for his elite mutant strike force into a school, so that the ethical use of powers could be taught to future generations of mutants.
During one of the rare peaceful times two years later, Psylocke conceived another child; she would remain on the inactive list for at least four more years now.
Nine months later, she gave birth to another baby, this one a son, Damien. He was one of the unlucky mutants born with physical mutations. He had pointed ears, bright yellow cat eyes, and a long, thin, feline tail. He would never be able to pass as a normal human.
The institute was open to all manner of students now, and older mutants were required to both protect the school and teach the students. Since she was still on the inactive list, Psylocke volunteered to teach some of the classes. The others joining her in teaching were Professor Xavier himself, a telepath, Scott Summers (Cyclops), who possessed an optic blast, Alex Summers (Havok), who absorbed stellar energy and reemits it as a focused plasma blast, Kurt Wagner (Nightcrawler), a teleporter, Emma Frost, another telepath, Lorna Dane (Polaris), who had the same magnetic power as Magneto, and Tessa Niles (Sage), a woman with various powers.
As soon as Damien was old enough, his parents started training him in various forms of martial arts and acrobatics. He also started classes at the institute on how to use his powers. But above that, he started to get the same kind of education that human children did.
Because his was a physical mutation, he did not need to wait until his powers developed. He started training on a squad as soon as his parents decided he was old enough. He was only 10 when he was placed on a team with Sam Guthrie (Cannonball), Josh Guthrie (Icarus), and Paige Guthrie (Husk) who were orphaned years ago because Sam’s powers developed, and Clarice Ferguson (Blink), who was abandoned on the doorstep of Xavier’s when she was three for her obvious physical mutation of pink skin. Dominique had never developed mutant powers and she was sent to a boarding school so that she could be away from the danger.
The people in the small Kentucky town didn’t approve of the fact that one child was a mutant. They killed the parents and then started murdering children. Sam was only able to save two family members, his younger brother Josh, and sister Paige. Xavier accepted the children into his school and the powers of the other developed over a time span of three years.
The five spent the next four years together training to be a team and learning to be a family. Damien found himself getting extremely close to Sam. The two of them would go off for walks in the forest surrounding the school, lay on the roof in the golden sun together and just generally be near each other at all times. Damien had never thought anything of this until the night during their third year on the same team that Sam pulled him into his arms and said, “It’s weird, but I think I might love you.” Damien didn’t know what to say or if there was anything that he could say. He just accepted the hug and softly kissed Sam’s neck. The two dated nearly three years.
Xavier felt that they were ready to help their own kind. He, along with Magneto, who was acting as a field leader for the older group, decided that these five would be perfect to form the next generation of X-Men. They held a meeting with the older X-Men and the younger group. The youths were eager to help out where they could and agreed to form a team called the X-Teens. They were called the X-Teens because all of the members ranged from thirteen to nineteen. The oldest member, Sam was chosen to be the field leader for the group, while Damien would act as a second in command. Xavier knew that the skills Damien had been learning from his father and mother would be more useful if he didn’t have to worry about giving orders. The group was then presented with a pair of cyber-glasses each, a new invention from Sage.
In a private meeting between Xavier, Sam, and Damien, Xavier encouraged Damien to tell both Sam and himself the truth about his training. By doing this, he made sure that Damien could be used to his full potential.
The X-Teens went on a few small missions over the next tow years with nearly all of them being successful. But then they ran into trouble. During this time, Sam and Damien had a large fight. Two months after the fight Damien was with one of the girls at the institute. After another month, the two boys were back to being close friends, but nothing more.
On a reconnaissance mission that had the group split three ways, Sam with Damien, Josh with Paige, and Clarice back at their base camp in case of an emergency, Sam and Damien found a weird building. Inside the building, they found what appeared to be a lab with glass tubes. When they looked into the tubes, they discovered what appeared to be half their teachers and who they knew to be X-Men. In fact, everyone except for Iceman, Gambit, Psylocke, Jean Grey, Xavier, and Sage were in tubes. Knowing that there was a problem, Sam Had Clarice teleport all of the X-Teens back to the base camp.
Paige, Clarice, and Josh all urged Sam to go back and warn the others, but Damien suggested that only he and Sam make the trip. They enter the institute and ran into Jean. They asked that she telepathically call for Xavier, Gambit, Psylocke, Iceman, and Sage. She did so without having the slightest idea why it was specifically those six. She was unable to locate Sage with her telepathy, but found Emma. She asked Emma if she knew were Sage was. She said that Kit and Cannonball were looking for her.
Emma sent a blast of mental energy straight into Jean’s mind, knocking her unconscious. The boys quickly contacted Blink and had her create a portal to teleport the X-Men to the base. They put Jean through the portal and it was decided that Damien would search for sage while Sam guarded the portal. If anyone came to the portal looking for trouble, Sam was more likely to be able to hold them off, but before Damien could leave the room, Psylocke and Gambit had already entered the room. Psylocke agreed to help Sam watch the portal while Gambit went through to see if Jean was okay, then Damien left.
He traveled through the hallways and found Sage having a conversation with Psylocke. He immediately panicked. He remembered that his mother hadn’t called him by his nickname and the called out “Mom!” “Yes Kitten” She replied. Damien turned around and ran back down the hall screaming “Follow me!” behind him. Sage and Psylocke followed him back to the room where he found Mystique clutching the neck of Sam. “Why isn’t he flying?” he thought. Then he noticed that Emma was in the room. “Emma must be stopping him from using his powers.” He quickly ran up behind Mystique and placed his clawed hand around her neck. “Let him go,” he demanded. Mystique dropped Sam and turned to face Damien. “Little boys shouldn’t try to play in the big league,” she said. She delivered a hard kick to the side of his head, and that is all he can remember about that.
The next day, he woke up inside the X-Teens base camp. He stood up and felt his head throb. “Kitten, are you alright?” he heard his mother ask. He looked around and saw that everyone was there. Well, not everyone, but at least everyone that he would want to see there. Jean was even awake.
“We’ve been waiting on you,” stated Professor Xavier. “Your teammates were to worried to talk until they knew that you were fine. However, now that you are awake, could someone please tell me why we were attacked by our own?”
Sam and Damien immediately explained that they had found a lab with what appeared to be the other X-Men and teachers in big tubes. “That would explain the change in attitude I’ve been noticing in Erik,” Xavier said. “Is it possible that someone has switched our friends and allies with clones?”
“I’ve heard of someone who might have this type of technology. He is an evil genius that wants to use mutants as guinea pigs.” Sage explained. “He calls himself Mister Sinister.”
They quickly began working on plans to enter the lab and free their friends. Sage determined that it was sheer accident or recklessness that the boys had entered the lab in the first place. They must have triggered some type of silent alarm when they entered. That would be a logical reason why the clones would start attacking now. She even decided on a battle plan in case the clones were at the Lab.
They broke up into two teams. The first team consisted of Xavier, Iceman, Jean, Psylocke, Husk, Blink, Icarus, and Sage. They would perform a frontal assault on the Lab that would allow the second team, Gambit, Cannonball, and Kit, to infiltrate and possibly free the prisoners.
As soon as they made it into the Lab, the three were surrounded by what appeared to be hired goons. Kit told his father to continue on while he and Sam held the thugs back. Almost as soon as Gambit was gone, one of the goons stabbed Sam in the chest. Devastated by the loss of his friend, Damien lost the fight. Instead of killed, he was taken to the same part of the Lab that held his teachers. “How did we get here so fast?” he questioned.
“Well that’s easy when you don’t follow a wrong hallway,” someone said. “Load him into the Temporal-spatial distortion unit.”
“Mr. Sinister, I presume?” said a heavily French-accented voice.
“Dad!” Damien yelled.
“You’re to late mutant. You have two choices; join me or lose the child.” Sinister said. “If you join me, you can have the child and my army of mutant clones will take over the world. If not, you son will be teleported to God only knows where. He might not be on this planet. He might not be in this year. He might not even be in this dimension.”
“Do it dad. Take him out for me,” Damien said, and then quickly whispered, “I love you and mom. Goodbye Sam.”
“I’m sorry son,” Gambit said, charging a card. “Forgive me Psylocke!” he cried, throwing the card at Sinister. Before the card hit him, Sinister pressed a button on the control panel. A bright light surrounded Damien and he dissappeared. He was transported to...

**********************************************
A boy stood in the middle of a large metal room. The floor was filled with polished metal tiles about two feet by two feet wide. The walls were the same as the floor, covered in the same tiles. In the middle of the ceiling was the one thing that made this room worthwhile. It was a projector capable of projecting solid images into the room. He heard the door open behind him and knew his opponent was here.
“All right Kitten, you know the drill,” his mother said in a crisp British accent as she entered the training area known as the Danger Room. He long purple hair flowed through the air as she spun to put the security code into the computer. “Today we’ll be working on the wire field.”
Damien let out a sigh, but quickly said, “Remember, if I beat you this time, you stop calling me Kitten.”
To which his mother responded, “And if you don’t, you’ll take the codename that I’ve picked out for you. I think Kit is absolutely brilliant,” his mother teased. “Now get ready.”
As she said this, the floor tiles underneath both of them began to rise. Once they had reached the height of about five feet, the tiles stopped and the room shimmered. The floor was replaced with the illusion of an endless void while thick wires had formed about two feet apart running both vertical and horizontal to the square he was standing on. This was one of the toughest exercises his mother was willing to put him through until he was older. The object was to be the last one standing in a fight. The catch was that the fight took place on these cables. It was a test of balance, acrobatic ability, and fighting talent. His mother called it “On the Line”. He just called it “Hell”.
“Alright Kitten, let’s dance,” his mother said. With what seemed to be the speed of thought, she was dashing along a wire towards him, and he was on his way towards her. She jumped, causing the wire to bounce, just as Damien moved to the wire on his right. Had he not changed wires, he would have likely lost his balance and fallen, as had happened the first time his mother used that trick.
He turned on his wire so that he was facing sideways just in time to block a blow that would have been to his side. He backed up on more wire so that he could have more room to maneuver, but his mother wouldn’t have any of that. Every time he changed wires, she was right there with him always with a kick or a punch.
Finally, instead of just being able to block, Damien managed to grab his mother foot as she kicked. He kicked with is own foot and connected with her side. She smiled. “Very good. I see you’ve learned something after all.” After she said this, she dropped so that she was holding herself up with her arms and of course Damien’s grip on her leg. “Just not enough.” She used her free leg to sweep Damien’s legs right out from under him. He fell through the wires and felt his foot hit the ground.
“Well Kitten, you did better than last time, which is really good. Given another ten years and you might just be able to beat me,” his mother said smiling. She held out her hand to help him up.
“You’ll eventually run out of tricks that you can use on your fourteen-year-old son. I just have to wait and think up some tricks of my own,” the boy replied.
“Well Kit, while you’re thinking, why don’t you hit the showers,” she said, walking out of the room. Edited by: drama prince at: 8/31/06 1:57 pm
Re: Damien Brian LeBeau tgif(thank god it's finished(i think
yup yup, looks fine to me. granted I got distracted aaall the time and might have overlooked something but hey, maybe Ann will notice!
Just wondering...um...the end of the history part? Is it supposed to be that way?
There comes a time in everyone's life when we have to take over responsibility.
The question remains whether there is also a time when we can get rid of it again.
