The pink shade of skin tone easily hones out the fact that Porter is a mutant. Darker shades of pink mark his face with strange patterns similar to his mother, one on his left cheek and two spikes on each of his eyebrows/forehead.

Personality:
There’s a cross between his mother’s attitude and his fathers. At times he can seem pleasant and shy, other times he seems headstrong, emotionally detached or just confused on what he ought to do. It’s difficult to understand how he may react to some things, but Calvin is passionate when it comes to his family and team mates. He has a love for his team, as they will be the closest thing he has to a family. Since he grew up with many of the X-men children he is highly attached to them all, even if he isn’t overly familiar with them he’d still consider them his family.

Powers and/or Skills:
Dimensional Portals:
Calvin can open portals to other realities, at the moment he isn’t developed enough in the power to control it well, a portal seems to automatically open around him after twenty-four hours and pull him back to his home dimension. It’s unknown if all people are returned with him, but it is highly unlikely and there are fears if others get caught in his portal they could get split up and the other may be trapped in the dimension if Porter is brought back on his own.
Mimicry:
Able to currently capable of emulating up to three different mutant abilities at once, as he strengths in his use of these abilities it will progress to five like his father.
Mini-Portals / 'bolts' or 'explosions':
Able to open access to another dimension that's filled with a vibrant white-ish pink and purple energy. This energy will spill out of the small portals Porter opens, either like a beam or a burst of energy depending on how porter manipulates the portal way. For now this power is unknown to him, but his connection to this dimension is instinctive and will come in time and with training.
History: Natalie a myself are discussing things so I'll add more detail of his family life when it's sorted out a little more with the others involved! Due to mentions of a female child of Blink, and although I could easily sort that out it may restrict any further children from being played, I think I’ll edit his bio a little to incorporate the mysterious female that’s appeared now and then!
The reality hoppers known as ‘Exiles’ arrived more then once at this dimension, Talia Wagner had spent time in this reality and felt it to be a blessing in disguise as she realized it was one of the better worlds she has witnessed. When Blink, one of the members unhinged from time, had become pregnant with the son of her love, Mimic, the group negotiated with Timebroker in helping send the couple to this world – they could not fight while with child. While being promised they could have the ‘maternity’ leave, they had been fighting to fix one of the many worlds and during the climatic battle (which had been an unexpected ambush on their group) Blink had been terribly hurt, the portal opening mutant lapsing into a coma.
Timebroker had kept his promise and sent Clarice to the X-men, but only Clarice, forcing the others to continue their quest. In the tender care of Dr McCoy, Blink made a swift recovery – slower then what was hoped for but not only was her baby fine but she was pregnant with twins. Blink was at least awake within the following weeks to discover the news and had been both thrilled and anxious, wishing their father was there to comfort her. Since these X-men had already encountered the Exiles Blink didn’t have to explain too much to the doctor. The Timebroker didn’t appear but Blink seemed convinced he had told her that her children weren’t permitted to join them in the exiles and that she would be plucked from this reality once they were born. Despite the X-men’s efforts to stop this from happening, the new mother was indeed ripped from their reality days after recovering from the birth of her new son and daughter.
Blink had been determined that she would return for them, no matter what they had to do her team would help her get her children back. Part of her seemed longing for the chance of raising them in this world, where Apocalypse had no leadership and the nations still belonged to the humans. Photo’s were taken, one so the kids had an image of them with their mother and one so Clarice and Calvin had one of their children.
While growing up Porter’s pink skin outcasted him even amongst other mutants, not for the fact he was a mutant, but simply he was a PINK mutant. His sister wasn’t effected as badly, which hadn’t helped the young man at all coping with the knowledge. A gag amongst his male companions that wore thin all too quickly and is a sensitive area for Porter who had gotten in more then a few fights over it. Being told they had parents that weren’t in this world had confused and upset the young children – especially when they discovered their mother’s counterpart Clarice, AKA Blink, had died in that reality. The X-men assured Darren and his sister that their mother was not the Blink of their time, but still the troubled kids demanded to know more then what the X-men themselves even knew. Due to this worlds Calvin Rankin, AKA Mimic, working with the brotherhood in the past, the X-men found themselves holding back the information about their father, knowing full well the young mutants could go off looking for the dangerous man.
When he discovered his father’s name was Calvin (Darren’s middle name) the young mutant had started demanding his peers to call him that, disgrading his first name entirely at fifteen. It wasn’t until around fifteen that his powers kicked in, the X-men had expected him to be a teleporter but Calvin’s portals were rifts in time and not space, so instead of moving from one space to another, he’d move from one world to another. This is when he began to truly understand what the X-men meant about his reality hopping parents. Due to the extreme dangers of these jumps Calvin had been strictly forbidden from using the power.
Since the Professor had trusted Calvin to obey this serious order that his very life could depend on, the Professor hadn’t tried to subdue the ability. This resulted in two occasions in the past year where he more accidentally then purposefully had opened a portal to another reality where he had been trapped for 24 hours straight each time. It was during these slip ups that Calvin discovered his other power; Mimicry.
Able to sense the powers of others for years now, Calvin realizes he was sensing it because his body was learning to try and mimic the ability. He honed in on Hank’s strength, Professor’s psychic abilities and Scott Summers optic blasts. Unlike Scott Calvin discovered he could control the blasts and took great joy in the sudden usage of different mutant powers. The world was a massive jungle and it took a few hours of playing around until his presence was discovered with hostile response. The young mutant was a force to be reckoned with but he was still a child and he had been utterly terrified by the tribal warriors screaming at him – it seemed to be some similar form of the savage land. The newly turned sixteen year old was hunted and the boy found himself on the run, almost running into a few dinosaurs while fleeing the angry tribe.
Seeking shelter in a cave, Calvin remained there for a while before his twenty four hours was up and his body automatically seemed to be summoned back to his home reality. Although delighted at being home again, the powers he had gained were once again gone and the young mutant fell into a depression for a few months over the unfairness of it all. During a repeated incident where he got into a heated argument with another student, Calvin’s portal opened and not only the dimensional hopper but Fred Jones had both fallen into another reality. The argument had been about Calvin’s dormant powers, and if only one good thing happened on the world entirely overrun by what appeared robotic replicas of humans, it was that Calvin finally had a witness to his awesome abilities.
On returning to their home dimension Calvin’s situation was put under a more serious discussion. Secretly Calvin wanted to train hard and learn how to control his portals and that way see if he could go and find his parents, and the teachers feared this and yet knew if they subdued his powers that he would retaliate and possibly run away. Calvin knows the teachers are worried about him, and they are trying to show him that he has a life in this world, convincing him that his parents would find their way back to this world, and they would be traumatized to know that he wasn’t here waiting for them.
The young Ferguson’s were constantly at the school and yet their shy or insecure nature helped keep them to a small group of people. The foster parents tending to the mutants were chosen for their talents with tending to children suffering certain problems, Calvin’s insecurity about his appearance needed special attention and yet the children couldn’t be split up so they had been given to a woman who raised them and tried to help both to come to terms with their differences.
Most of the time they stayed at the school, especially Calvin who wasn’t getting on well with David for personal reasons – Calvin over heard David pass a teasing comment about the pink skin Calvin was ever so sensitive about to one of his friends in an amused manner and Calvin instantly shut himself up from the Tristin’s and their attempts to help him.
Most of the children of the X-men had spent some time together, although originally Calvin was introduced to Wolverine’s children in hopes for him and Connor to form a friendship, Calvin gravitated more towards Arisa and Connor seemed not to click with the boy in a way which made him thrilled to spend time with the other child. Being so different physically, Calvin felt Arisa would understand what it was like to be in his place. The two formed a friendly relationship, although Calvin has a year to her, he finds Arisa’s company to be desirable compared to others, and after constantly asking for her whereabouts it’s perhaps not much of a secret with the elder X-men that Calvin was forming more then just a friendly interest in her.
The poor guy hadn’t taken Arisa’s interactions with Arlen, and her peculiar friendship with the strange guy very well at all. The last year Calvin and his sister had been helping play a part on one of the ‘false’ teams around the school.
Ok Its late soo here are the only things <i can think of at the moment. Id like to know who brought him up at the Institute. He was left there as a baby sooooo someone must have looked after him.It will be important to know who it was. Thats all for now!

Well I was going to leave that detail out until I talked with others... but seeing as Blink was Nocturne's best friend, I'm now thinking of having it be Kurt!
He's really the only guy I can think of unless we bring in a foster parent from outside the school o.O;

Goodness! I love the Exiles and I think the whole Mimic/Blink parentage is awesome. Never thought of what would have happened if Blink had been a boy, but I guess now we know, huh? Anyways, enough of my babbling. *~Stamp~* Go ahead and play him. I wanna see how cool he'll mesh with everyone else! ^_^
