Dearly Departed
The yellow moon glowed and bats flew through the sky as Carmen walked through the graveyard. She hadn't been here in a very long time, and since things were finally starting to work out in her life, she needed a sense of closure.
Stopping at a tombstone, Carmen took a deep breath and pulled the silver locket out of her pocket. She couldn't think of Dave anymore... That was the past. She gently lay the necklace on the ground and pressed a kiss to her fingertip and pressed the fingertip to the tombstone. "Goodbye, David." She gave a startled cry when a hand grabbed her shoulder, so cold that it couldn't possibly be human. Or at least, mortal... "Blur, don't do that! Why the hell are you here, shouldn't you be in California?" She turned and looked at the tall, elegant vampire and realized that she looked troubled.
"I need your help," Blur said in her thick Romanian accent. "I'm afraid my Thorn and some of her friends accidentally found their way here... They know nothing of Serenity or surrounding land, and we need to find them before Ash or someone else does. I also don't want them starting trouble..."
Carmen's mismatched eyes widened a bit, knowing how much trouble this could turn out to be. "Damn... Come on, we need to find them ASAP."
