Do onto others and they might do onto you...
She closed her eyes and braced herself as another kick to her ribs came and as the chain whirred through the air to strike down at her curled up form. She could taste her own blood filling her mouth and feel it trickling down from the corner of her lips. Another strike came and annother.. and another... The clothes she wore were bloodied and torn from the beating she was getting from this gang of hoodlums... She coughed soundlessly from her sickness and from the force of the next kick that was aimed at her stomache. Her mind was set... She would endure the pain they placed upon her for now... Then, then when she returned the favor, they would know what it was like...

They had at first targeted her because she looked like a good victim as she had placed her money in her wallet after getting change from the hotdog she had bought. But as they had noticed her unnaturally white hair then the coloratin of the eye that was not hidden by the patch, they had decided to instead of just stealing her wallet from her, to beat her down fro being a mutant.. mayhaps even kill her. She had been feeling sick, not having been able to remove it as she usually would have and wasn't up for fighting so she had ran upon seeing them persuing her... They had split up then managed to steer her into this dead end alley that they were now pummeling her in.

The chain came down on her again, breaking her skin and causing blood o pour from the split. At this time now, she was riddled with injuries from being struk, kicked, stabbed, and thrown about. Right now, she could feel there were about seven stab wounds on her body. There were three large guys beating on her... They wouldn't have a chance once she decided she's had enough. It was almost sick in a way that the pain they were inflicting on her was starting to change to a pleasurable expieriance... A cold smirk curled up on her lips as she could hear the heavy breathing of the ones who were trying to beat her to death.. They were getting tired.

She suddenly opened her eye, the red orange iris getting an almost diabolical glint to it. There were a series of cracks and snaps as her broken bones healed and the screams of the guys could be heard echoing down the alleyway. Blood sprayed out from wounds that suddenly opened up on their bodies. All three of them were yelling in horror and in pain as they fell to the ground, clutching onto various wounds. They had beaten on her for being a mutant.. but what they hadn't accounted for was that they would be the ones to be laying either unconscious or dead here in this dark dank place. Her body shook in silent laughter as she stood and brushed herself off. Her cold gaze fell apon the writhing and whining men. In the next moment, the rest of her wounds vanished and more screams from them could be heard before silence. She didn't care if they were or were not dead, either way, they learned that the one named Trade was not one to be messed with.

Trade stumbled out of the alleyway and found herself falling to the sidewalk. Although she wore black clothing, it didn't hide the blood completely. The cause of her stumbling was that very blood that soaked her clothing... Although the wounds were gone, the blood hadn't been replaced and she was weakened from it. Right now, she was unwantingly vournerable...

Re: Do onto others and they might do onto you...
Most of the time, life on the streets was quite exciting, something new happening every day and even the same old things weren’t too bad either. Except for today that was. The day seemed to be dragging on for ages, even slower than usual for the mutant who loved speed more than anything else in the world...

Leah Maximoff and a couple of her street kid friends had been sitting upon some swings in the park nearby their old and abandoned building they sheltered in every night. Even they were commenting on how slow it was, so Leah was happy to not be the only one to be bored out of her brains on this day.

"Hey Zoom, you’ve got to have something planned for today," One of the kids said in an almost begging tone for her to conjure up something so they had something to do, even if it was for five minutes. Leah’s little group always called her Zoom, most of them had nicknames to do with who they were. Normal names had no use on the streets and Zoom had gained hers because of her mutant power of speed. However, that was not her codename, that was Speedstar and she only referred to herself as that when she talked to strangers who dared to ask of her name. Leah didn’t know that there were mutants who went around saving the world or causing chaos that chose to have codenames, she just chose one since she thought it would sound cool.

"Sorry, not a thing comes to mind Glamour," She replied to the girl who had spent her life on a rich property until she ran away wanting to leave the lifestyle that had placed so much pressure upon her to succeed in everything she does. It was odd, Leah normally was the first to think up something out of all of them. That was partially due to her quick brain functions allowing her to learn new things quickly, remember things with ease and thinking of things in a matter of seconds. Though at the moment she was too bored to think properly.

"Wanna go back home?" Okay, so home wasn’t really what most people would call their dump of a place, but it beat living in the gutter and most even got their own space with two to a room. The other street kids nodded since the park was beginning to get boring and they began making their way back, Leah clearly leading the way in a jog as she didn’t want to leave her friends too far behind her if she had of ran.

However at the sound of screams of pain, Leah stopped and turned back towards the others. Her initial instinct was to direct them to go the other way home and check out what was going on. After all, she was the unofficial leader of the group and her speed caused her to escape any trouble that she might bring upon herself. The screams didn’t seem to stop, if anything get louder and with a quick glance to the alleyway nearby she decided that this had to be checked out, more to cure a curious mind than anything else.

"Go the other way, stick to the safe route. I'll meet you all soon, if not Brawn take care of things," The muscular seventeen year old male nodded. It was often that they’d say things like that, as if they were about to die, to one another. These street kids might not have the best of educations, but they knew that the streets weren’t often the safest places. Zoom’s friends turned around and began making their way home, it was a longer route but it was much safer as there were more people around on those streets of the city.

Now Leah was by herself, she gave a nervous swallow and brushed a few strands of red and bleached hair out of her face after a brezze blew it in her way. She took a few steps forward until she saw a girl stumble out of the alley. She was older, but only by a few years. The street girl tilted her head curiously, the painful screams could still be heard but surely she hadn’t caused it, had she?

Seeing her fall to the footpath, Leah made her way over there in a matter of seconds as she was never shy to hide her speed from anyone. She didn’t care if people out there didn’t like her kind of people, they’d just have to learn to deal with it and get over it!

Her grey-green eyes looked over the girl who lay on the ground before her, noting some blood, even in her dark coloured clothing. Blood was never a good sign and it was not the first time that she had seen it since her life on the streets and surely wouldn’t be her last. Her ears ignored the screams. They were male, and it was often that a group of thugs would go around bashing up others for fun, their main targets being young women.

"Uh… You alright?" It didn’t sound too sympathetic, but Leah always kept a barrier of cautiousness around her when meeting people for the first time. She leaned a little over the girl, still looking at the traces of blood on the dark clothing that she had noticed. It didn’t seem as if anymore was forming, so that was a good thing, the wounds must have healed somewhat. Of course Zoom had no idea how well they had healed!

She held out her hand, whether the gesture would be taken or not was up to the girl to chose, but at least she was doing a good thing. Out of a number of groups of street gangs Leah had met, hers was the most civilized. Sure, they stole and caused trouble but they never went out of their way to hurt others unless one of their own had been hurt. They stood by each others side though the good time as much as the bad.

"Uh… You alright?"

Lorili tensed in a slight jump then looked up slowly at the girl who was looking down at he with grey-green eyes. Lorili gave a small nod to try to answer yes to the question but it was a lie.. She wasn't really alright. As the seconds passed, her adreniline was waring down and the effect of her bloodloss catching up to her. The world around her was spinning in a tilted angle, making her feel dizzy and weaker than she already was...

Her one-eyed gaze went to the hand that had been offered out to help her up with and she accepted it slowly, figuring if this person was going to attack her, she would know what to do... Not long after she was helpped into a stand, the spinning became a wild careening and she felt herself stumble. As blackness swirled in to blanket her mind, the ground rushed up to introduce itself to her. In other words, she fainted from bloodloss...

In her unconscious state, her abilities hit a spike, causing her to take back upon herself some of the wounds... Two stabs in her left shoulder and several of the broken bones; broken collarbone, broken arm and broken ribs. The whole time, she was silent as death, not making one sound of pain. Had she been aware of what had happened after the darkness had cloaked her brain, she would have been barrating herself for having fainted in clear view and in front of this stranger.

Re: Do onto others and they might do onto you...
When the older girl looked up, Leah noticed the patch hiding one eye but not before she noticed the colour of her uncovered eye. It had caught her by surprise a little, never had she seen someone with different coloured eyes before so the fact that it could be some kind of mutation hadn’t occurred to her as of yet. She just found it rather strange.

Leah was glad that her gesture to help the other girl up was taken, since she wasn’t sure if she felt trusted. Though she couldn’t blame her, you can’t trust everyone you meet on the street. Not too long after she was standing once more, Leah watched her stumble a little more before falling unconscious to the ground. She had tried to catch her so she wouldn’t hit the ground so hard, but for once she was too slow into action. It was obvious someone had fibbed when she nodded her head to say that she was all right!

Crouching beside the young woman, Leah noticed that where the bloodstains were, in her dark clothing, were now starting to be soaking in the crimson liquid. This caused the young speedy mutant to give a look on unease, as she certainly didn’t know how to take care of someone with injuries.

"Hey, wake up," She gave a slight nudge to the girl, in hopes to wake her up but it wasn’t enough to wake the injured mutant before her.

This was just great! To start things off, the day was as boring as ever and now she’s stuck with an unconscious girl who she doesn’t know and doesn’t know how to help. Other street kids might of abandoned her, but Zoom was determined to help, even if it was just being able to get her to someone who could treat her.

Her mind thought through ideas, the first one coming to her mind was taking her to a hospital before she shook that thought out of her head. The people there would probably think that she had hurt the girl. Trust wasn’t given to those who lived on the streets.

Leah shifted her gaze from the girl to the area around her and didn’t see a soul. Another great thing to add to the day, they were also alone on one of the most deserted streets of the entire city! Then Leah remembered the screams from before that she had heard.

"Wait here," Leah stood up and dashed down the alley, it wasn’t as if the stranger was going anywhere while she had left. Slowing down to the speed of a casual run for the average person as she got deeper into the alleyway, her eyes scanned the area before landing on three thug-like men who were still recovering from the pain that, in a way, they had inflicted upon themselves.

"Wouldn't be surprised if you deserved it," She muttered under her breath after giving a sigh. These men wouldn’t be able to help her in anyway. She was on her own and felt it too. Unless... Surely her friends hadn’t gotten too far as of yet...

Speeding past the girl once more she quickly caught up to her friends, nearly knocking over a couple of people on the way who weren’t wary of the speed of this sixteen year old!

"You guys, come back, I need your help," She called out while she stood still behind them and waited until the all turned around before continuing, "There's a girl and she’s been hurt, and you all know I'm no nurse. We need to take her back to our place until she gets better, or at least wakes up." A couple of the street kids looked to one another. It seemed as if they weren’t too keen on the idea of a stranger being taken back to where they lived.

"Please? She trusted me, well in a way. She took my hand to help her up, before she fell once more that is," Her words were rushed, including what she had said previously, almost as if she couldn’t get them out in one breath. It wasn’t that she was short on breath at all, or anything like that. Zoom just had the ability to talk fast, most of the time she spoke slower for others, but not when she was in a rush and that was most of the time.

"Anyone can give you the slightest amount of trust and you'll want to help them," Brawn said, his arms folded as he waited in the street behind the other kids. He was taller than most of them so it was easy for him to be seen over them all. Zoom just gave him a look that was almost a threat without any words needing to be spoke. While she could be nice, she could just as easily back up her threats and the others knew that. "Oh all right, I'll help," As he gave in, Leah gave him a thankful smile.

"You guys keep going back, Brawn and I should be able to take care of things. Since I know you won't want her in any of your rooms, get mine ready to put her in," A couple of groans came, but so did some nods so it was certain that there would be a place for the strange eye coloured girl to rest in until she awoke.

Grabbing the hand of her friend she virtually pulled him back with her, ignoring him telling her to slow down as his legs couldn’t keep up with her. Leah didn’t seem to notice that she was going a little too fast for him.

Coming to a stop beside the girl, who Leah was glad that she was still there but still worried that she hadn’t woken up yet she heard Brawn catch up on his breath and smirked a little. Since she had her mutation for quite some time running was merely child’s play with her and it rarely wasted too much of her energy.

"We can go the normal way, we should be able to meet the others quicker since we won’t be going too fast," Brawn nodded and Leah didn’t even realise that she was still in the role of leader of their little street kid group even though there was only the two of them, three if you included the unconcious girl. Since he was the strongest of them all, he picked her up and carried the older girl in his arms while Leah took the lead to make sure the coast was clear for them. Passing the wounded thugs, Brawn gave an odd look but continued without asking any questions since he wasn’t sure if he wanted to know, though if he asked he wouldn't get an asnwer, Leah didn’t know any of the details about them.

It only took around five minutes for the two street kids to arrive at their old building and they made their way inside, Zoom holding doors open so they wouldn’t bang onto Brawn or the girl. And only another minute passed before the strong seventeen year old was placing her down on Leah’s bed, which was really an old, almost worn out mattress that laid upon the dusty floorboards.

"Careful, she's hurt!" Zoom said with a hint of anger as Brawn wasn’t too careful with her. Well, she was already hurt and Leah didn’t want her getting worse. Noticing that some blood was on him, he shrugged slightly before leaving to wash himself of it. Before he had met up and became part of this group he had lived a rough couple of years on the streets alone, believing that he had to fight others to survive so blood was nothing new to him.

Another girl walked into the room with a damp cloth and some bandages. This group of street kids were pretty lucky, they had a strong man who could fight of just about anyone who dared to cause trouble, a girl with such speed she could race her way out of trouble that she might put herself in by stealing, another girl who had somewhat of a knowledge on first aid and the rest were also able to put their hand in for some kind of work in their group.

Leah sat herself down on the floor a few metres away from the injured stranger and leaned her back against the wall hoping the older girl would awake soon while she left her friend to begin work on trying to help the wounds. Though it wouldn’t be too good a treatment no matter how much she knew since they simply didn’t have any decent medical equipment in this old abandoned building.

( ooc- *Notices that she got a little carried away* ... Sorry about that! ^^" )

Re: Do onto others and they might do onto you...
Nightmares always came to Lorili in her sleep and this was no acception.. They were memories of her past but amplified from her fear and anger so it was even crueler... Everything was blown out of porportion. As her wounds were being bandaged, a distrubed expression crossed her face. The expression had been from the going ons of the dream...

Lorili lay in the fetal position, trapped in her yourner form, the age being anywhere from four to six... Nowhere near old enough for her to have been recieving the beating she was getting. She bit back her screams and stopped from making any pleas, knowing that her mother would not stop. If anything, her screaming would make her mother more furious and beat her even harder. It was silence that brought her the end to the striking and cutting... It was silence she embraced, leaving behind her words.. Leaving behind those pitiful pleas...

Her voice had no part in hr life as far as she was concerned... It never did her any good. It only brought more horrors into her life and into her sleeping hours. She hated the sound of her own voice anyway. It sounded unworthy of being heard even to her own ears. It was to the point where it sounded like nails on a chalkboard to her now.. maybe worse, she might have perfered that other noise. These thoughts went through her mind as the nightmare continued and as she struggled to stay silent.

Lorili suddenly bolted up into consciousness and her wounds protested, causing her to grip onto them and close her eye tightly in pain. A small sharp hiss of pain came from her but nothing else.. No yell, no wimper, no complaint. It was as if she was a mute. Suddenly, the glass of the nearby window shattered outwards and the wall recieved several deep cracks in it. Lorili gave a slow breath outwards then looked around with her good eye. There were two people in the room with her and she was greatful that neither of them had had her abilities effect them to recieve her wounds... She had tried concentrating on inanimate objects and was relieved to see her aim had not been off. That would have been... unfortunate...

She looked over at the girl that seemed slightly familure to her.. Yes, she remembered now, it was that girl who had tried to help her before... Lorili tensed, looking around again. She wondered where she was and what was going on.. It didn't look like anything negative was happening but she could never be too sure. For all she knew, they might have found out who she was and were just getting her stable before sending her off to the people who would pay the most momeny for her... A shudder went through Lorili's body and she instinctively reached for the base of her ponytail where she usually kept a small knife. She hesitated though, waiting to see what would happen. She didn't want to start anything so instead, she cast a questioning look to the more familiar girl.

Re: Do onto others and they might do onto you...
Leah just stared at the wall opposite her, lost in thought so she didn’t notice the stranger that she had brought back with her bolt up. However, her healing friend did as she was hovering over her at the time and took a step backwards since she didn’t want to intrude on her personal space. She noticed the hiss of pain and was surprised that she wasn’t louder in showing it but would be the last to complain about it since she didn't want her sooking like a little child.

The speed-gifted mutant returned to the world from her thoughts at the sound of glass shattering and her head instantly turned towards the now broken window. Hopefully the night wouldn’t be brining a cold wind along with it that would add a chill to the heater-less room. Leah watched as cracks formed in the wall around it. Her mind began to take her away again, what the heck had caused that?

"Hey Zoom, your new friend's awake," The other girl said grabbing her attention since Leah was yet to notice that the older girl had awoken. Looking over to see the young woman sitting up, she smiled faintly as she got up and made her way a little closer, kneeling down once she was there so they’d be on a more closer level. The first thing she noticed was that she seemed a little unsure of things and wanted her to feel at home, as much as she could here, as quick as possible.

"Don't worry, you're safe. Not many people dare to come into this palace of street kids!" She said calmly, not realising that the injury-shifting mutant might not understand what she had meant. It was rare for other people to come even up to the doorstep of their building, unless they had ordered a pizza from a stolen mobile phone. She then looked curiously back over to the broken window and then looked back to the girl in front of her.

"You fell unconscious, I couldn't exactly leave you lying on the ground to be used as a doormat," Leah began to inform the other girl, probably not finishing it off in the best way she could, but it was only the street kids personality shining through a little.

"Hope you don't mind the accommodation, it's the best we've got," She said as her right hand brushed over a part of the floor, making some dust hover about in the air for a moment before it settled itself back on the floor. A sheepish grin crossed her face for a moment at how untidy the place was.

"How do you feel? My right-hand chick, Aide, here is the closest we've got to a nurse or doctor but she can help you," The speedy street kid offered pointing over to Aide as she mentioned her. Leah hoped that she wouldn’t want to go to a hospital. She knew that taking her there would take time and effort and knew that the blame would be pushed onto her, even if the nurses were told otherwise. So she decided not to bring it up, still unaware that the girl before her was actually a mutant even though she had used her power right in front of the two street kids.

"And before I forget, I'm Zoom," Leah knew if she had woken in a strange place she, at the very least, would want to know who she was with, and being a girl who treated others the way she wanted to be treated did what she would have wanted if the situation were reversed. Of course, treating others they way she wanted to be treated could be two different situations. She was nice to those she liked and expected the same from them. To those that she didn’t, she dared not to bother to go out of her way and be nice to them, she didn’t want them to get the impression that she liked them!

Re: Do onto others and they might do onto you...
Lorili listened as Zoom spoke then she looked around a little to see the condition of the place they were in. It seemed to her that they weren't really doing too well off.. yet.... Yet they had still helpped herinstead of just leaving her outside. That meant a lot to her. It also made her respect them some. She didn't knwo anyoe that would have helpped her without expecting something in return and for some reason, she didn't get the feeling that was the case here.

At the question of how she was feeling, Lorili unbuttoned her shirt partially then bared her previousely wounded shoulder to them to show that there was only blood and no longer and puncture wounds. After showing them that, she buttoned her shirt all the way up again. It was obvious now that the bruises that had formmed and were formming were completely gone. But had she not been taken care of while unconscious, there was a big chance she would have ble to death before she could wake. Lorili owed Zoom and her friends her life.

On that thought, She pointed to herself then, on the dust covered floor, traced with her fingertip a name. She wrote 'Trade' on the floor. Lorili offered a small smile then wiping out the name, she wrote something else on another part of the floor which read: 'I will return shortly. I was the cause of the window and wall's condition and I will be back with the money to take care of that.'

It would have been evident at this point in time that Lorili didn't or couldn't speak. She perferred to let people believe that she was a mute anyway. There were less questions that way and less demands of her answering anything out loud. Lorili went to stand but found that bloodloss was still effecting her... She would need something to drink to replenish lost fluids and she would porbably need some sugar or something... But she wasn't about to ask of them any more than they already had done for her. She took a deep breath then tried to stand again only to find herself laying back down. Agitated that she couldn't get up, she gave an annoyed sigh.

Getting an idea of how she could repay them for now, Lorili reached into her back pocket and pulled out her wallet. She then reached into it and pulled out the hundred and twenty dollars she had before handing it to Zoom. It was evident by the expression on her face that she didn't intend on taking no for an answer. She would give them this money for now then when she was strong enough, she would go out and get some more in the usual manner she did... Fighting... She hated doing those fights but ever since she started it so long ago when she used to bring money to the man who made her go and fight, it was the only way she could think of to get cash quick. She had gotten good at sending off wounds unnoticed, mocking slices of the knife and sending the wound to where it would have cut.. Striking different places and sending the bruises... It was good training for her abilities anyway, she justified to herself... Although, some of the money she made would go to getting new clothes where her old ones got bloodies and torn from the fights.

Re: Do onto others and they might do onto you...
A puzzled look crossed the young mutants face as the girl before her began to unbutton her shirt and only turned from puzzled to confused when she saw that there were no longer any wounds or injuries on her body. But how? She had been bleeding and… and… it just didn’t make any sense!

However, before she could question the white haired girl, Leah became distracted as she wrote in the dust on the wooden floorboards. It was only one word but even a girl with Leah’s lack of education could figure out that it was her name, Trade. She looked up to see the friendly smile and was curious the whether or not this girl could speak. If she could she probably would have said something, so she fell quite easily for the charade.

At least they had the names covered, though it got Zoom thinking for a moment, surely that wasn’t the name given to her at birth, Leah’s was Beth but had decided to go with her middle name since it only reminded her of the way her mother spat it out and then soon after going by Leah went by the name Zoom. Was this girl a street kid too?

'I will return shortly. I was the cause of the window and wall's condition and I will be back with the money to take care of that.'

After reading the message in the her grey-green eyes looked up to Trade questionly. She didn’t really care about the window, it could be bordered up with wood, Leah didn’t really mind, it let in the morning sunlight that only woke her up at the break of dawn anyway, it wasn’t too big a loss. And half the walls had cracks in them to some extent, but that wasn’t what got her… Trade had caused it? But how? She became so lost in her mind that she didn’t notice how Trade tried to get up, with little success, but Aide saw but was also too confused to force herself to help in any way possible.

Again, she became distracted before her mind could figure out the answer to the questions in her mind. This time it was at how Trade took out some money from her wallet. Zoom’s eyes widened at the notes she pulled out, it may not be much to the rich and even to some average people, but to a street kid it was a hell of a lot of money!

When the money was handed to her, Leah took it, only because it was rare that she held so much money in her hands at one time. Most of the wallets and purses she had pick-pocketed didn’t even hold that much, and some had cards and since most of their little gang had messy handwriting they couldn’t copy the signatures on them or they would never know the special pin numbers for the others cards. She just stared at the money for a moment before shaking her head and holding it out in front of Trade insisting that she take it back, while the other mutant seemed determined on Zoom keeping it. But she couldn’t take it, it didn’t seem right yet stealing it did in some weird way.

Aide’s eyes widened, how could she be saying no to that amount of money? She longed to rush over to Zoom and snatch it, but Leah was her leader and on most occasions what she says goes.

"It's a lot of money that I'd love to have, but I can't take it," She said, her voice still insisting on Trade taking it back. Most of the times she had gone into shops with money she received odd looks from the shop keepers since they knew she had stolen money in her hands, it made her feel partly guilty for doing that but she needed to survive along with everyone else, she just had an illegal way of doing so. "'Sides, we have spare wood in the basement that we can use to fix the window. It's no big loss, really," So fixing it up and covering it completely were two different things, she was stubborn no to take it.

"You're a mutant!" Yet again, she became distracted as the realisation hit her. She was hurt badly, then better moments later, the name Trade, the white hair, orange eyes… it all made sense. "… Aren't you?" Her voice was softer from the yell she had said before, yet curious all the same. Never had she seen another mutant and she so hoped that Trade was one. Her eyes quickly dropped to the dust covered floor and awaited to see the answer as she continued to hope that she was right.

Re: Do onto others and they might do onto you...
Trade frowned deeply when the money would not be accepted then gave a dissapointed sigh. How was she supposed to repay them if they would not accept the money? She ran her fingers through her hair and looked up at the ceiling as Zoom continued to speak. At the girl's question, Lorili looked over at her. She had finally figured out what she was. Lorili waited for hostility to show up or the look of one thinking about ways to use her to appear in her eyes but... But there was none of either. Her obvious discovery hadn't been a yell of displeasure but that of exclimation. She was about to nod in reply but Zoom had looked down at the floor so she figured she would write the answer down with the rest of what she wanted to say.

'Yes, I am a Mutant. That is how I survived the beating those thugs had given me and how I was able to retaliate. But it hadn't been enough.' She wrote.

Lorili moved to another dusty spot on the floor, all of her previous writing having made dust less accessable in the place she had been in before.

'That is why I give you the money. For the damage I have caused to your home and for saving my life. You could have just left me out there to bleed to death before I had a chance to wake yet you didnt. You brought me here and patched me up for long enough for me to wake up and remove the injuries from myself and transfer them away. I owe you also for the risk I put on you by the using of my abilities. Had I missed, they would have shown up on you and her instead of on the walls and the window.'

Wiping her finger off due to the dust that had coated its tip, she moved to another dusty part of the floor, finding that the conversatio seemed to be making the floor lack in its ligt grey cover. Finding a spot, she contiued with her quick writing.

'If you are worried about my not having any mooney, don't. I can get money fairly easily. I have made five thousand a day before. Of course most of it goes to clothes I ruin and some to food and hotels but the rest, I don't really need. Please take the money that I give you. I will be insulted and my feelings hurt if you do not accept my gifts of grtitude.'

All she wrote had been true. Money really wasn't much to her and she would have been offended if they didn't accept. She thought for a moment, adjusting her eyepathch with her non dusty hand.

'If you will not accept the money then tell me what you do need. Do you need someone to repair this building? Do you need a new home with electricity, furniture, and other things in it? Do you need cars or bankets or anything else? I will not feel right if I can't do anything for you. I am endepted to you, that is h=just how I see and feel it.' She finished before wiping her hands and looking to Zoom since she seemed to be in charge.

Re: Do onto others and they might do onto you...
( ooc- *Looks at date zirasharia last posted, then looks over to today’s date* Sorry again, didn’t realise I had left you waiting for so long! ^^" )

'Yes, I am a Mutant. That is how I survived the beating those thugs had given me and how I was able to retaliate. But it hadn't been enough.'

While Zoom read what the other mutant had written in the dust covered floors, a smile crept onto her face before a rush of excitement filled her body, something which was quite normal when something she liked happened or she was going to do something she liked. Though, she did feel a little sympathetic for Trade, after all no one should be bashed for no reason at all. Zoom believed that they had done if to poor Trade for no reason, as it was typical thug behaviour to hurt someone just out of plain boredom.

As Trade moved herself to another spot, as the area on the floor they were by now was much less dust covered due to her writings, Leah quickly followed after her. She didn’t want to miss reading whatever else Trade had to say.

It was really nothing much to the street kid. It was actually a good feeling to have someone be thankful to her; only her grandparents were thankful to her, along with her gang, since everyone else didn’t trust her. Leah had always wanted to help someone, it some silly little dream of hers when she was younger to become some kind of hero and when her mutant power emerged she found it as a sign that it was going to happen.

The risk of getting hurt didn’t seem to bother Zoom, living on the streets you were bound to get hurt one day. She was lucky that she hadn’t as of yet and today was like the rest of the others, though the future may not be so bright for the young mutant.

Again, she followed after Trade and read the message on the floorboards. It made Zoom feel a little awkward, but it would be wrong to take all that money. She, along with Brawn, hadn’t done much; all they had done was take her back to their place. So she had shattered a window and cracked the walls, it’s not like the rest of the place was in the best condition. If it was it surely wouldn’t be abandoned and they wouldn’t be living there! But if she was going to keep on insisting that she take the money it would be rude to keep declining...

'If you will not accept the money then tell me what you do need. Do you need someone to repair this building? Do you need a new home with electricity, furniture, and other things in it? Do you need cars or bankets or anything else? I will not feel right if I can't do anything for you. I am endepted to you, that is h=just how I see and feel it.'

After she had finished reading, there was a moment of silence as Zoom thought. Surely the other things Trade offered would be much more than the money. Yet, it was a dream for some of her friends to have just a normal home, they’d even settle on something as much as a couch that they had to share each night, it would beat their worn out mattresses. However, Zoom wasn’t going to allow them to get it this way. The money would be enough of a reward for helping the other mutant.

"The money will be more than enough, I couldn't ask for more," She said as she settled on her final decision. Well, she didn’t feel as if she deserved anything, to get something for what she had done was something that she would be grateful for.

"Anyway," She seemed to become distracted from what she was previously saying onto something completely different. "So you're really a mutant? That's so cool!" Excitement returned, it was clearly shown in the way she spoke.

"That's only because you’re a mutant too!" The other street kid said. Zoom looked over to her friend and laughed. She would still find mutants pretty cool even if she wasn’t one, she liked to think so anyway as she was very much against people who didn’t like mutants, like her mother.

"I sure am!" Zoom said proudly as she looked back to Trade. "I've got some kind of super speed thing going on. Can run pretty fast," Leah said quickly, which showed that a fast run was not her only mutation. She knew about her brain functions being faster, yet wasn’t sure how it worked and never really brought it up since she preferred her speed to everything else.

"And speak fast too!" Aide added as she noticed the speed in Zooms voice. It wasn’t too rushed to make it a complete mumble that no one would understand, but if English was your second language or you couldn’t understand American accents all too well you would have had some trouble to pick up what she had said.

Re: Do onto others and they might do onto you...
Trade gave a soundless chuckle at Zoom's excitement then made a mental note to herself about the acceptance of money. She was glad the girl accepted it otherwise, she would have had to just sneak them the money constantly by hiding it in the building where it would be found later or something. She felt a wave of tiredness trying to hit her and pushed it away before placing her fingertip on another spot on the floor to write. as she did so, she made another mental note to herself to get a note pad or something and a pencil to write with so she would have plenty to write her messages down on.

' Thank you for accepting the money at least... But even when I give you money, I will be endepted to you. If you are ever in a fix, you can look to me for help.' She wrote before running out of space on that spot.

< I feel like this is musical chairs or something... running out of places to write on...> Shge thought to herself before she moved to the last dust covered area of the floor she could find.. in this room anyway.

' As for being a mutant, I'm glad that you are excited about it and that it is a gift to you... For me, it's off and on. Sometimes a gift but other times it is a curse to me. I don't know if I should be greatful for being a mutant or hate it, really... But that is enough about me... How long hve you been a mutant... You are the first other mutant I have seen that I know of anyway. I've heard about other mutants but never seen one face to face until now.' Lorili wrote, making the letters smaller so to spare the space.

(ooc- Yay forgiven! *Does a little dance*)

' Thank you for accepting the money at least... But even when I give you money, I will be endepted to you. If you are ever in a fix, you can look to me for help.'

It seemed the more Zoom didn’t want anything for her bit of assistance, Trade would insist more. However the offer for help when needed did sounds like something she couldn’t refuse. Okay, so she had offered to help before and the street kid took the money instead, but she was yet to realise that. It did feel kind of reassuring that Trade would be there, even if Zoom had decided that she would only go to her as a last resort in the back of her mind. The thing was, it wouldn’t be easy for her to find the other mutant so easily. Maybe she could get her address or something a little later on. She expected it to be in a rich area of the city, after all she had said that she could get more money so she instantly thought that Trade was rich.

I've heard about other mutants but never seen one face to face until now.'

Leah read the last of the messages that would just fit on the wooden floor and even had to squint a few times for the smaller words that had been written so they would fit. It was sad for the speedy mutant to hear that Trade found her mutant gift a curse also. There was nothing that Leah hated about her power, it gave her a kind of freedom whenever she ran, feeling the wind brush past her face letting her hair flap about wildly behind her. Never had she thought that for other mutants it might not be the same. Even her enhanced brain functions kept her one step ahead of the rest, always quick to think of something, always there to help aid her friends whenever they were in trouble by thinking of something to help them out of their sticky situation.

The only bad thing to come out of it was the fact that Zoom had gained a slight paranoia over her legs. The last thing she would ever want was for them to get harmed, thus losing her speed forever. So if ever she was going to get hurt badly, she’d want it to be on the upper half of her body and not her legs. Her face could even be mutilated forever, as long as she could still run.

Hearing that she was the first other mutant Trade had seen, Leah smiled with a touch of pride, though Trade was the first other mutant she had ever seen before.

"A bit of a coincidence, you’re the first other mutant that I’ve ever seen as well! Glad to finally meet another mutant," Her friend felt a slight tinge of jealousy and gave a cough to make sure that Zoom knew that she was still around. "Hey, I still like ya too!"

"Yeah, yeah, I’m going to help out with dinner," Aide still didn’t sound convinced as she left. Though it was only usual of her to get a little jealous on the odd occasion. Glamour was even worse, growing up in a rich family she was always in the spotlight and although she had run away to escape it there was no hiding the fact that she still loved attention, even if she couldn’t see it. The entire group had their own little quirks about each and every one of them.

"Don’t worry about her…" She shook her head at the way her friend had acted before re-reading what was written and continued. "… How long have I been mutant? Hmm, a few years I think… Yeah. I realised my speed wasn’t quite normal at the start of high school. Made sure to train ever since when I get the chance," She said, purposefully forgetting to mention the part where she dropped out of high school to run away from her mother since her life with her had been hell.

Her mind seemed to go a little off-track for a moment. Her grey-green eyes fell to the ground, which was a little cleaner now if anything at least. There was no more room for her to write. How would they communicate? Leah didn’t know the first thing about sign language and was terrible at charades... It would make her feel like a bad host if she wasn’t able to understand anything that Trade would like. That was until she remembered there was some scrap papers in her draws, and maybe a pen would be in there if she was lucky.

"Hold on a tick," Moving to the other side of the room towards her draws, which was really from an old desk that had draws on the side but was without the desk part, Leah began to go through the draws until she found some paper. It was a little yellow from its age and also ripped, but it was better than nothing. To her luck there was a pen, its colour was unknown to Zoom but it wouldn’t matter as long as it worked.

"Here. It’s not very good, but at least it’s something!" She grinned a little as she returned to Trade and handed her the paper and pen.

"Oh, forgot to ask. Care for something to eat?" She asked. Tonight’s menu was vegetable soup, something that hardly any of them liked but ate because they had nothing else. Besides, vegetables were healthier than the junk food that most would have preferred.

Re: Do onto others and they might do onto you...
Even though Zoom told Lorili not to worry, she still did. She didn't want to be the cause of friction between friends. She never was the one to feel comfortable about suchthings, not having any friends of her own... Not that she was all too sure if she wanted any anyway. All the people she had ever trusted ended up never really having cared about her and only hurting or using her... Or threatening her... Of course, she had never had a Mutant friend... Maybe that would be a different expieriance... But this Zoom girl had human friends.. Maybe she was like them? Like the humans of her past? She had heard that Mutants were whole nother species than Humans... There had even been some talk she heard abot that Mutants were the next step in evolution. Then why were they treated so badly?... Why was she treated as she was?

She hadn't been treated good even before she was a Mutant so maybe it was just her... Lorili seemed to be n deep thought as she slowly reached up with one hand to lightly trace one of the scars on the back of her shoulder through her shirt. It was only one of the many that she had all over her back. Only a couple had been on her shoulders... The mass majority of the proof of lashings from brooms, slices with knives... even barbed wire... were mostly collected where a sleeveless shirt would hide them... Her own screams started to sound in her mind and the sounds of the different beatings that had been done upon her body.

-- " No Mother! Please stop! What have I done to you! What have I done to make me hate me so! Why are you hurting me!!! Please stop! I'll be good! I didn't do anything!!!!" --

The voice of her childhood echoed in her thoughts, that followed by more screams and pleas for it to stop... Lorili's hands clenched into fists, her knuckles becomeing white from the pressure and her nails biting into her palms. This brought her out of her past and to the here and now. Opening her hands, she sent the nicks the nails caused in her skin to the bottom edge of her shirt then looked to Zoom before accepting the pen and paper. She then gave an appologetic look that asked for Zoom to repeat that last part. She had been distracted by something disturbing but it was obvious that she didn't feel like sharing that with Zoom.. at least not quite yet.. After-all, she had just met the girl. And on top of that, Lorili couldn't trust anyone fully... Too many times had she been fooled into false sense of security only to have herself made a fool... It would be a while before she could trust anyone too much.

Re: Do onto others and they might do onto you...
While she had spoken, Leah had noticed somewhat of a slight distance in Trade’s gaze but took no notice of it. Half the time when someone was talking to her she would be off in thought but could still be listening to whoever was speaking to her, so she just thought that everyone was the same.

However, she noticed the clenched fists just before Trade opened her hands. If she hadn’t of blinked at the moment she did Zoom would have seen the damages the other mutants nails had caused from the clenching of her fists, but she didn’t. Another blink and her eyes landed on Trade’s face, the look telling her to repeat what she had last said though it had manners in it, as much as a facial expression can.

Zoom wasn’t stupid, Trade had been lost in thought or memory and whichever one it was, it wasn’t very good. Leah was tempted to ask if she cared to let it off her chest, but decided against that the moment in entered her mind. For starters, no one would ever talk about something that bothered them to someone they just met, Zoom had known her friends for quite some time and they barely knew a thing about each others pasts. Secondly, people don’t always like talking about their past. It’s private and if they don’t want to share it, Zoom respected that. Mainly because she didn’t like talking about her own too much.

Realising that she was supposed to repeat what she had just said she spoke, "Did ya want something to eat? It’s veggie soup, but if you don’t like it I could find you something else." She placed the other offer just incase, not wanting Trade to starve if she was hungry.

There wasn’t much that the street kids would have stored in their poor kitchen since they always got their food fresh and on the day, or maybe a day or two before if they were planning on not passing the shops for a few days. Of course, hardly anything they owned was brought. In fact, the vegetables were stolen by each of the runaways going into a couple of fruit and vegetable shops and pinching the fruit while another distracted the storeowner. It was actually quite amusing for them, but never for those they stole from. But the kids had to survive by one way or another and stealing was the only way.

"Did ya want something to eat? It’s veggie soup, but if you don’t like it I could find you something else."

Lorili wrote rather quickly and surprisingly, it was rather neat for one who was in a hurry to scribble down a message. She then turned the paper so Zoom could read what she had written. The ink in the pen must have been a little old for in the beginning, the words were a bit faded but as the sentences went on, the blue deepened to be much clearer.

' Veggie soup would be great... I pretty much eat anything... Right now though, I just need to get some fluids in me. ALthough my wounds are healed, I still have bloodloss.' She had wrote.

Lorili was telling the truth about eating almost anything. She remembered that once, she had even had to stoop down as far as killing and cooking rats to eat while she was trying to keep her whereabouts strictly unknown... That had only been in the first few months of her running away from home. Now, she would eat almost anything except for things that were rotton or had maggots in them. She still couldn't bring herself to make herself eat anyhting of that sort. Even the thought of it churnned her tomache some.

Clearing her mind of such thoughts, she turned the paper again so she could write on it another message. Actually, it was more than just a message. There were some questons she wanted to ask about who lived there and on other things.

' Your care is much appreciated and I thank you for it, Zoom. I have a couple of questions though. How many live here with you? And why didn't you at first want to accept anything from me? Did I offend you? I am hoping I did not..' She wrote before turning it so Zoom could read the paper.

Re: Do onto others and they might do onto you...
(ooc- Sorry, would have posted sooner but I have this weird cold thingy and looking at the computer screen made me feel weird! Getting better now, shopping and a win for my Footy team always makes things better!)

' Veggie soup would be great... I pretty much eat anything... Right now though, I just need to get some fluids in me. ALthough my wounds are healed, I still have bloodloss.'

It was good to read that she didn’t have to fetch something else for Trade to eat. It probably wouldn’t have made the other street kids feel happy about it if she had since Aide was already a little jealous about their guest. Besides, most of the time they had to ration their food so it could last for long enough but at least they never starved so their figures weren’t extremely thin.

' Your care is much appreciated and I thank you for it, Zoom. I have a couple of questions though. How many live here with you? And why didn't you at first want to accept anything from me? Did I offend you? I am hoping I did not..'

A smile crept on Zoom’s face as she read the thanks on the note. A sense of pride, yet she still didn’t feel as if she had done too much to be appreciated, though, there was no point in not taking it. At the mention of being offended Leah quickly shook her head. Money was not an offence, more of an overwhelming!

"No way! You didn’t offend me," Leah made sure to get that clear first of all, "It’s just that that was a lot of money and we don’t really see it much with our life and I didn’t want to take so much from you." She paused for a moment to wonder what she would do with it. Saving the money was no good, they could get robbed and then the money would be no more. She’d have to spend it on something. Giving a look to the window she wondered if it would be any use getting that fixed up. Perhaps the money could be spent on more food, or clothes, or maybe even something to add to their old apartment.

"As for your other question, there’s seven of us, that’s including me," Four girls and three boys to be exact. They used to be friends with two other people that actually had a home but they haven’t seen each other for quite some time so they drifted apart. Maybe one day they will meet again and repair their friendship, but that was a maybe. It was strange though, those people had a home and loved spending time with a pack of kids without one. It was just good to know that not everyone was against their kind.

"Anything else you’d like to ask? ‘Coz if not we should go down for dinner," She said knowing that dinner was normally served around this time, but she was more than happy to answer any more questions if she had to.

"Will you be alright to walk downstairs?" She asked remembering that Trade was suffering from blood-loss, "If you aren’t, I can bring a bowl of soup up." She added, finding the role of hostess being something good and something that she could get used to. It wasn’t often that these street kids had someone over and while the others may not like the idea of a vaster Leah didn’t mind, especially since she was a mutant.

Lorili started writing on the paper once more then after she was done, she turned it so Zoom could read what she had to say to her.

' I should be able to walk. I might need to support myself on a wall or somethign on the way down there though in case my body decides to make the embaressing situation of just giving out on me on the way. You wouldn't believe how many times it's done that in public. And as for the money, it isn't that much to me. You are not taking too much money if I am offering it to you. I can make it back so quickly that I feel like it's an injustice to give you that little when I can offer so much more. I have a million in the bank and that is the loose money. My savings have more but I don't go into that unless I plan on moving out of the state.

Back to the going down and eating thing, I would like to meet everyone. I would like to know what your friends are like and also appologize to them for the inconveniance I may have caused.'

Re: Do onto others and they might do onto you...
(ooc- All better now!:D Of course, since I read this post after I got better I never was able to use your handy hints, but I'll be sure to remember them for next time!)

Once the written reply was done and held up for Leah to read she did. Luckily for Trade there was a handrail on the side of the old wooden stairs that wasn’t on the side of the wall. She could use that as support if she needed, or the wall, hey she had a choice! The handrail wabbled a little when it was used, but it was still strongly stuck to the floor of the stairs, so there was no chance of it to fall if someone happened to use it.

The part in the note about the money seemed to amaze the street kid. How could she have so much money?! A million dollars in the bank, it seemed so unreal. It sounded like something from the movies. Of course, rich little Glamour’s family has a lot of money, but she had never said how much they actually had and since no one bothered to ask no one knew how much she was worth.

"Oh don’t worry if any of them seem a little bothered, we’ve just had a boring day so they might seem lifeless," Zoom said after reading the last part of the note. "And just ignore them if they seem rude," she quickly added sounding almost apologetic in advance incase they were rude. They weren’t always like that around each other but around newer people they are more cautious and sometimes their barrier of caution is rudeness. Though, maybe if they could see that Zoom could trust her, they might do the same.

"Shall we go then?" She asked before looking down to the money that was still in her hands. She then quickly placed it in the back pocket of her jeans. That would be the safest place to keep it for now. Once the money was safely in her pocket, a slight shiver ran down her spine as if excited about the money.

Seeing that Trade was now ready to leave, Leah began to lead the way. Her movement seemed so slow as a walk, since she always rushed around, but since the other mutant was still recovering she found it polite to stay with her. Once down the final step, the two mutants walked straight ahead a little further until Zoom turned the first corner, which was their kitchen and dining room.

The room wasn’t the most elegant of dining rooms, but at least it was something. The floorboards were a less dusty but more dirtier than Zoom’s room since this room was used more often and at the wooden table, which was actually in good condition compared to the rest of the room, different chairs were placed around it from a wooden stool to a comfy office chair. Sitting upon the chairs was the rest of Zoom’s friends, who had bowls of soup placed in front of them.

"Guys," Leah called for their attention, hearing her voice they all stopped chattering, or eating their soup and looked over to their unofficial leader, bar one of the males, "I’d like to introduce you all to Trade. She’s a mutant!" She said excitedly. She then looked over to Trade with a guilty look since she wasn’t too sure if she would have liked her to come out and talk of her mutancy in front of everyone.

"Trade," she continued quickly, "This is Brawn, he helped me carry you back here," she said pointing over to the largest of the group. His largeness was due to his muscular build and not because her was overweight. He offered a friendly smile before looking into his bowl and noticing he had already finished so he got up and gave himself seconds.

"Next to him is Glamour..." Even though Glamour had lived with this group from quite some time she still had the rich little daughter look about her, hence another reason to her name. Feeling rather hungry she resumed eating once her name was mentioned, not meaning to appear rude in doing so.

"… And next to her is Bubs…" The most excited of those sitting around the table waved. Bubs had gotten her name for being the youngest of the group at age twelve. She was always open to making new friends and since she often talked to complete strangers she was also the one who had to be looked after the most.

"… Opposite her is Tagger…" This was the only one who hadn’t looked up though he quickly looked up once he was mentioned and gave a nod as his greeting and resumed eating. He was probably the darkest of the group, but quite a nice guy once you get to know him. He had gotten his name for his hobby of graffiting.

"… Don’t worry about him. Swanee is next to him…" The most good looking of the guys said a polite ‘hello’ with a friendly smile. He was the only one to keep his old nickname; his last name was Swann and he had kept his childhood nickname once he had run away from his abusive father.

"… And as you have already met, Aide," she finished the introduction with her. She was still a little cranky over things, yet to get over it. But all that was needed was one of the others to crack a joke and then she’d begin to cheer up.

Re: Do onto others and they might do onto you...
Lorili wasn't really sure on how to greet the new peopel she had met or the one that seemed to be a bit irritated at her but she figured a small smile and a little wave would be okay... So that was what she did. It wasn't like she was going to write them all a greeting speech or say hello to them out loud. She felt a little shy about the introduction Zoom had given everyone about her and glanced down at the floor, scuffing her feet a little. At this moment, Lorili would seem like she was a gentle and shy girl.. But none of them would know the truth about how vicious she could get unless one of them had happened to see her fight at one of the places she got money at for it.

Althought Lorili knew that she probably shouldn't in the back of her mind, she was thinking that her mood and mode would switch up quickly and drasticly if any of them were to attack her. She couldn't help thinking that though. It was because of the life she led and because of her past that made her always be preparing herself for betrayal or attack. Some would call it parinoia but she concidered it a means of survival. If she hadnt thought liek this in the past, she would have been worse off than she had been.. Much worse off and possably dead...

Trade pushed those thoughts aside and looked up again, not realizing that there was still remaining sadness in her visable eye. The trace of sadness faded away as her emotions were hidden once more and she cautiousely took a seat in one of the empty spots.

Re: Do onto others and they might do onto you...
As Trade shyly looked down to the ground, Zoom turned her attention to her. She tried to guess the other mutants thoughts. Was she shy? Some people got shy when they met new people. Was the amount of people in the room too big for her? Zoom was used to seeing all their faces, to see any less would make her worry unless she had been told of their whereabouts. Was she angry that Zoom had told her friends that she was a mutant? Leah couldn’t help it, she had to tell them, she was excited to find someone who was similar to her. However, this young mutant wasn’t gifted with mid reading powers so to know what was on Trade’s thoughts was to remain unknown.

Soon after the speed mutants mind slowed down, she noticed Trade make her way over to the table and Zoom moved over to the large pot that was filled with soup. Half of it was already gone and there was no doubt that it would all be gone shortly. The girls may only eat enough to satisfy their hunger but the guys made sure to eat more than they needed, then they’d complain about how full they were. Though, that was on nights like these when they were lucky enough to have a fair amount of food, there were some days - even weeks – where they went with eating scappy foods that barely filled the stomach.

Grabbing a bowl Leah reached for the ladle, that they had once shop lifted from the supermarket a few blocks away, and began filling up the bowl with the soup, warm steam still rose from it and the scent was still strong and making Zoom feel her hunger. But as much as she wanted to grab a spoon and dig in, this was not for her. Instead she grabbed one a desert spoon (they had an odd assortment of spoons and actually had soup spoons but the other street kids were already using them) and carried the bowl over to Trade, her movement was quick but nothing was spilled as she had practised to keep things in balance when she used her speed, though she didn’t risk it with nothing too fast just incase.

"Here ya go, enjoy," she said as she placed the bowl and spoon down in front of Trade before returning to the pot to fill up her own bowl. Having done this quickly she returned and sat beside the other mutant. Normally she sat at the head of the table but today she felt like keeping the other mutant company. Brawn looked up from his bowl, now empty again, and looked over to Trade, his eyes studying her.

"You were in pretty bad shape when we brought you back, how come you’re fine now?" he asked polity yet curiosity was clearly visible in his voice. He wasn’t normally so snoopy, but his own curiosity had gotten the better of him for the moment.

"Brawn, let her eat!" Zoom snapped back.

"I was just asking," he mumbled his reply in defence as he got up to give himself thirds. To think, his father wanted him to be a defence attorney!

Silence soon fell upon the table, spoons clinking with bowls and teeth virtually the only noise. Zoom looked about the table. Normally it was so noisy, how could they just let one extra person stop them? Feeling slightly annoyed by this Zoom felt determined to rid the silence.

"Do you mind if I answer Brawn's question?" she asked looking over to Trade before adding, "If you don't want me to, I won't." She didn’t expect a written reply, just a simple nod or shake of the head depending on the answer. She’d more than happily tell the others, but if Trade didn’t feel comfortable with it she wouldn’t say anything and respect the other mutants wishes.

Re: Do onto others and they might do onto you...
When Zoom gave her the soup, she smiled in gratitude but Trade waited until Zoom got a bowl of food for herself before she started to eat from the one the other mutant had brought over to her for her. As she started to eat, the one that was introduced as Brawn started notibly examining her. Trade paused in her eating and glanced over at him with that bright red-orange eye of hers. From the way he was looking, she could tell he was about to speak. "You were in pretty bad shape when we brought you back, how come you’re fine now?" He asked. It wan an understandable question. She probably woul dhave been wondering the same thing if she had been in his shoes. The question didn't even catch her off gaurd, it being almost expected under this circumstance.

"Brawn, let her eat!" Zoom snapped at the guy. Lorili shook her head to tell Zoom that the questioning hadn't bothered her. It was true but also at the same time, Lorili didn't care to have another person who was jealous of Zoom's treatment of her.

"I was just asking," She heard him reply. Trade kept her sigh from coming out as she continued eating. She was planning on showing him a reply to his question after she got the food and fluids in her.

Just as she finished the bowl and was about to show Brawn how, Zoom spoke. "Do you mind if I answer Brawn's question?..If you don't want me to, I won't." Trade shook her head and pointed to herself to indicate that she would answer hi question herself.

Stepping away from the table after getting up fron her seat, Lorili stopped a couple of steps away then pulled out the knife she kept always at her side in a sheath. Her shirt had been covering it before but now it's existance was made known. She cut a part of the lower side of her shirt off and placed the piece of cloth on the table's surface. Waiting until the attention was to her so her example would not be wasted, Lorili suddenly took the edge of her knife to her palm and cut it. The cut was obviousely deep due to the way it opened but before the blood could flow too much and run out, the cut suddenly closed up. A thin line of blood remained and Lorili wiped that off on her sleeve before showing the completely intact hand then gesturing to the piece of shirt on the table. The cloth was cut in half but the table benieth it hadn't been damaged.

Picking up the pieces of shirt, Lorili placed it in her pocket then took a seat once more after placing her knife back to it's rightful place in the sheath at her side. There was still some broth in her bowl and Lorili picked the bowl up and sipped it dry befoe setting it down again and offering a small smile. Now it was just time to see their reaction... They knew what she could do, how would they feel about it?
