Re: Do you prefer a booth dinette or table/chairs?
Although I really like the table and chairs, we needed the extra sleeping area of the dinette. My 5'5" 14 year old son has claimed this as his, and has lots of room to stretch out. Taking it up/down is not a problem....he does it!
Re: Do you prefer a booth dinette or table/chairs?
We had to have the chairs!!
After sitting in booths by many other suppliers did we initially think they would be best. But they had to be at least 39" wide. well we then test sat in the Open Road and to my disappointment they were the MOST uncomfortable of all we tried... For my 6'3'' frame anyway. So we picked the leathercovered chairs. Our 2 little girls are still small so spillage still occurs.
Re: Do you prefer a booth dinette or table/chairs?
I have always preferred the booth for the extra sleeping area and the storage. After looking at the Open Road booth, I think I would opt for the table and chairs. That is the only thing about the Open Road that did not impress me. If we need the extra sleeping area, I would put an air matress on the floor.
Re: Do you prefer a booth dinette or table/chairs?Our current trailer has a booth dinette. We weren't worried about the extra bed, but we needed the extra storage space. Our new trailer will have the free standing table and chairs. I like the appearance better and besides, we plan to get the 360rkds, ditch the chair that seems to sit in the middle of nowhere, ditch the sofa and put in a couple of small recliners. We'll have the free standing chairs to move into the main living area when we have visitors.
