Do you think you're a wolf?(I'm not crazy) Now don't go around saying RubyWolf has gone insane. No, I'm not insane. Or am I......*coughs* Well, anyway, Do you think that deep inside your soul is a wolf? Or, do you think you once were or are going to be a wolf in a past/future life? I'm not trying to freak you out, I just want your opinions. Beacause, well sometimes(especially after watching a Balto movie) I just wanna get on all fours and howlat the moon. Almost all the time I compare my life to a wolf's and a simple task like getting the mail can turn into a Balto like adventure!

Interesting topic... strangely enough, one I couldn't answer. *lol*
We could either get into past lives, our deep love for wolves, or the more sensitive topic of Therianthropy, of which I don't know very much. What do you think?

I don't know what Therianthropy is.......(lol, aren't I smart?), but I'm not sure what's wrong with me.(if you can call it somethin' wrong). I think it just may be my obsession for dogs and all canines all over the world. And yes, I did say OBSESSED! People think I'm crazy because I dedicate my life to dogs, wolves, and just plain animals! I have 2 dogs of my own(one's my mom's)and I dedicate all my love to them, so taht may be the source of my wolf problem.(wolfies are SOOOOO COOOOOOL!) I'm not sure if I started this topic out of curiosity or for my own sanity!

Greetings, Snow Wolf. I spotted you at my forums (and earlier at WereNation) and I thought I'd return the favour. I'm a huge Balto fan, and I watched Wolf Quest for the first time yesterday.
Therianthropy is the concept of a human having an animal nature. It can be a spiritual or mental connection, or both. The person is said animal... like a live-in spirit guide, if you will. Often the animal (yes, humans are animals, but you know what I mean) nature overlaps the human consciousness. In a wolf therian, this might increase the desire to howl and be in nature, and perhaps make it more difficult to find the right words when speaking. People have different beliefs about therianthropy; unfortunately there are no clear-cut definitions. *chuckles* I'm not explaining this very well, am I? I'll give a more detailed description if you are interested.

That may be my problem! I never acted like this until a half a year ago..... I'm not sure if that's the problem or if I like canines too much. I don't have problem with words, though...... I'd be glad if you told me more about this..... *howls* Oh dear... Where did that come from?!

Hello Amethyst, and I thank you for taking time to stop by! I do wander around your forums, but I haven't posted anything yet because I am shy...still observing...
Thank you for the description...I know I couldn't have figured out how to explain it. *lol!* I know I would also be interested in hearing more, if you'd like to tell me and Ruby about it. Or I will just chat with you at your forums, because that works too.
It's also hardly a 'problem', I'd say... *Woof*

It's nice to meet you too, Ruby. I may be a therian, but I'm also a huge wolf lover. I'm working on an FAQ for my website, which I will post as soon as possible. In the meantime, this link does a good job of explaining what therianthropy is. If you have any specific questions that aren't answered on the website, ask me.

You didn't mention that! I'm pretty sure I'm a therian. It may just be the fact that dogs are my fav animals and along with that I adore wolves, but I ask you one question..... Have you ever tried to chase a squirrel?

you know i never gave it to much thought but i do think about it alot and i do think i could be i mean even a little i know i know but i do get that feeling after i have watched a balto movie too. but in all i think i might be a little n e way
