Dying Star Nightclub - The Special School Dance
The sounds screamed all around the young Prince as he sat on the stool near the bar, a female human singing out yet another heart felt song. All these humans seemed to like songs based on love, or lack of it, most of the people in the club where couples, the male fairy watching quietly and with hidden longing as these 'brutal' creatures held each other. It was hard to believe any of the stories told to him by others, these humans didn't seem hostile, although there where one or two who have started arguments, they where escorted out of the club right away.

It was hard to mingle with people since no one could see him really, and often he had to shift stools otherwise someone would nearly try and sit on him. Scott had, over the past few days, slowly began to gather more human style clothes, again he felt bad about just taking things, but some of them, like his new jacket, where from when someone left it behind at the bar. He would have run after the man, but could you imagine a coat suddenly chasing after you apparently on its own? He tried that with someone's watch once, and the man went off yelling in a very frightened state. Scott was so startled by the yell that he dropped the watch and shifted into his smaller size and flattered off quickly.

Now he wore the black leather coat in an effort to hide his wings from those who could see him, because supernatural creatures could see him and if they thought he was a fairy he didn't feel very safe around them. It felt very strange being completely dressed in black, although he looked very smart in his human clothes. He was used to more colourful or light clothes, but he didn't mind what humans wear, he could really get used to living like them. It was slightly difficult since none of them could really see him though, but he didn't mind.. although he was keen to join in some of these human dances, but how could he if none could see him. So the young prince was left sitting alone on the stool, his attention slowly drifting over towards the doorway as younger people began to enter the club.

Flashes of light, both white and coloured kept distracting Scott from studying the new faces, he's never seen any place like this in his world and he was still amazed by the things these humans could do! The music had lost its words, and no one was seen singing, but sound was heard everywhere, it was as if the sounds where coming from the very air! It was also loud, at first the noise had given him headaches, but now he was getting used to the loud sounds over the past few days and was enjoying the human entertainments. Spending the days out searching for the young Prince Arlen, Scott enjoyed the chance to spend the nights studying the humans idea of fun. He just wished more believed in fairies so he could actually meet and speak with one, he wanted to know what they where like to talk with, he was so curious about their entire life style, and thoughts of returning home where very distant if at all on his mind..

Re: Coming!
(OOC: Okay I might not be on much as we are taking our computer in tomorrow to find out what the problem is. I can post short replies from school though so hopefully we'll get it back soon. Also I will finish Kals' bio soon I promise and hopefully it's alright if I bring him in now.)

Kal had been here a grand total of two minutes and already he was bored. There wasn't a huge shortage of girls and he had to admit the thought of dancing with each and everyone, including the girl in the corner slow dancing with her boyfriend, was tempting but he had other thoughts on his mind for now. One girl kept haunting his thoughts no matter how much he wished she would just leave him alone. He'd left to protect her, didn't she understand?

There were other girls, not everything revolved around Lana true yet some part of Kal knew that the enjoyment he got out of spending time with another girl was short lived and just a front. It was always Lana on his mind, even as his lips brushed a girl's crimson ones in a dark club, always her lips he was kissing.

There was also the scar on his chest. The pain grew worse each day and he now had to remove the red class ring that had served as a drug to his system once every couple of days. Sometimes it was hard to wrench it off and when it was no longer touching him all he wanted to do was go back to Smallville, to Lana and to his parents. He couldn't though and eventually the side of him that wanted to protect them, the side that fed off of his darkness and rebellion would win out and he would become Kal again. Clark kent would disappear once more.

Kal did another once over of the club but nothing really interested him, he watched half heartedly as a brunette entered the club, practically dragging a taller brooding guy with her. He toyed with the thought of getting rid of her boy on a leash and showing her a good time and set the idea aside for later. Instead he listened to snatches of conversation from around the club and hoped that the pain of losing her would go away.

~~

Loni practically had to drag Drian inside with her even though he had agreed willingly enough only a few hours ago.

"I don't do gatherings," he protested quietly to no avail. "Gatherings where I come from mean a war or a funeral."

"Here they mean dancing, fun and relationships," Loni replied. "Come on." She dragged him over to the dance floor but he wouldn't budge.

"I don't dance. No one in my world dances unless they're being shot at," Drian said firmly.

"Welcome to my world, come on it's easy. You'll pick it up in no time."

Groaning he refused and took a seat at the bar area instead, opting to watch as she rolled her eyes and danced herself to a quick paced song.

Re: Dying Star Nightclub - The Special School Dance
"This is so cool... I mean, just look at those light effects and the decorations and...
I SO love what they made of it!"

Aurora hadn't interrupted her praise of Dying Star since five minutes ago when she had started but finally, the ebony haired experienced a lack of suitable adjectives. It had been a while since she had been there the last time as with missions and other things keeping her from actually having a private life, party time had been limited to zero.

Her partner for the dance was a pretty red-faced Aran who - wearing a rather simple but maybe just because of that stylish tuxedo - felt strangely misplaced. Especially with Circe in a tight, yet long black dress at his side. She definately was drawing most of the guys' attention onto her and to Dryad, it was obvious that she enjoyed it.

Trying to distract himself from the thought of being totally replaceable - although the smiles she flashed him occassionally signalized that, at least as a friend, he wasn't - the greening mutant concentrated on the stage.
He caught himself taking a look around anyway suddenly having the feeling, that this wonderful, yet lightly sad song Angela was just singing something seemed like the soundtrack of most of those people's lives. Every single one of them had a story... and for some reason he suddenly felt the urge to know much more about them as he did then.

*What about her for example? Is she happy now?*

His gaze shortly met Rogue's and she flashed him a warm smile. However, there was a small glimpse of something else in her eyes... something she seemed desperately struggling to suppress.

"I think it's time to leave you alone" Storm whispered in the absorption mutant's ear and with a almost roguish wink, the white-haired woman in her silvery dress disappeared in the crowd.

"So... we're alone..."
Rogue stated realizing it was a silly thing to say being surrounded by dozens of others. There was nothing more she could think of though since this situation - being on a dance with someone she loved - was something she definately wasn't used to.

"Ah hell, what are we supposed t'do now?"
she suddenly asked impatiently refusing to drop the honesty the established among each other. "I figure you're not actually a party king kinda person but... 's what I'm neither"

Re: Dying Star Nightclub - The Special School Dance
The limo pulled up outside the front of the nightclub, she'd been right, the journey had seemed to last only a few mintues, her hand seemed to close slightly tighter around Riley's as if her body sensed it was going to loose contact with him again and resented the idea. She'd have happily sat here all night in the limo just holding his hand, she was also haoping that it would somehow make up for shouting at him before.

She didn't want to let go of him, couldn't they just stay here, like this forever, she'd been wanting to lay her head against his shoulder the whole way there but she didn't have the nerve to do so. She could feel his skin under her finger tips, and her palm seemed very hot and sticky in his large hand. Could he tell how she was feeling? could it pass down her hand and though her finger tips into him?

Re: Coming!

ooc-Aww.. poor Jennie...Stupid net!! *Beats it up with a stick*
----

When the students and others of the institute pulled up finally in their limos, most of X-Force, plus Dawn, in the white car while Max, Shalimar, and all the others where in the larger black limo. The songs had finally been decided on, though Dawn wasn't sure but she had thought there was one more song allowed to be played, maybe Dawn had miss counted the ones she had been agreeing to. As long as Angela wasn't a song short, but then Angela would notice so Dawn didn't say anything, grinning eagerly and allowing her entire attention to be absorbed by Sean.

There was a slight moment of hesitation on Riley's part, though he hadn't even notice Angela and Lisa's glances, if Angela didn't already know that Lisa would already assume that Catherine was in love with them then she'd have probably tried to corner Lisa off in the girl’s bathroom and tell her. But Lisa had a nack to see these things, so no one ever really had to tell her about people she knew liking others, unless they where trying extra hard to hide it and even then Lisa might still be able to tell...

Catherine's grip had tightened, not a lot, but a bit, and it was enough for Riley not be sure he wanted to lose the limo, what if he wasn't allowed to hold her hand like this again.. What if she didn't realize how she was starting to make him feel, what if she was just holding his hand because that's what she though they're meant to do since they where on a 'date'. But then the thought of just being able to hold her.. to have her close to him, maybe she'll figure out how he's starting to feel when they talk, drink and dance together. They had a whole night.. she had to see something in that time, anything that might hints his feelings..

What if she got upset with him? What if she didn't want him to feel like that towards her, would she be mad at him if she found out, that thought didn't settle too well, if anything he grew more nervous of letting go of her hand. Slowly his fingers slipped from her hand as he opened the door and got out, standing beside the door and waiting for her to appear at his side. As soon as Catherine left the limo, he shifted to her right side again as they walked towards the door, his left hand desperately just wanting to take hold of her hand again. It was probably a force of habit for Riley, to stand on the right side of people, because he used his gun with his right hand, which meant he didn't have someone standing in his way if he needed to grab out his gun quickly.

But tonight he wasn't carrying his weapons, in fact he didn't even have them, Dawn had taken his side arm and the second side arm that Catherine had arrived from the other dimension after she was taken there by the vampires. Riley's footsteps became so slow they almost came to a stop, Dawn and Angela walking past with their dates and glancing back to see why he was slowing down. The doorway of the nightclub had metal detectors built into it, the guard that stood by the entrance was patting down of Max's friends, though it had just been his dorm keys that set off the alarm. If Riley walked through there then it would go off, even if he didn't have his weapon.. even if he removed the metal dog tags around his neck which he didn't want to do.. it'd still go off because of the implants inside of him.

He didn't want to have to explain that to anyone, Riley's hands moved for his jacket that sat around Catherine’s shoulders, stepping in front of her and his hands reached for his inside left pocket. Pulling out his wallet, he then continued walking forwards beside her, his attention focused on searching through the wallet. He had a very organized wallet, a place for a picture, but that was empty, all his money in one section of the wallet, he had a hundred dollar's worth of $20 dollar notes, he hoped that would cover their night, he didn't want to take too much of the stash of money he had.. even if it was a fair bit. Taking out his tags from under his shirt, the Rogue Agent of the Initiative quickly memorized his registration number once again before letting his tags rest over his shirt in plain sight for the moment.

He didn't want to explain why the metal detectors would keep going off, so this was his only other option, but he made sure to linger back until Dawn and the others and moved into the nightclub. Catherine and himself where now alone out the front, all the others having moved rather hastily inside, he felt bad because she was waiting for him and he was keeping her out in the rather cool night. The young former military agent held up his ID pass for the young guard who was making sure none of the mutants entered with weapons.. Which seemed rather pointless since they where in a sense all living weapons if they wanted to be. There was a hesitant look about the young guard before he flicked off the switch and allowed the two to enter without being scanned for metallic items. It's what everyone with special I.D's always wanted, free access into the club without a weapons search. Riley didn't care if they kept an eye on him, as long as the metal detectors didn't go off on him he was happy.

Once inside the club, the others already in there where motioning for the late couple to hurry over to the part of the bar they had managed to get in the rather crowded club. Lights of reds, blues, greens and yellows all moved about in the dark nightclub, a quick flicker of a bright white light also seen focused more on the dance floor every now and then. It was warmer in the nightclub, so Riley gently removed his jacket from Catherine so she wasn't going to get too hot. Draping his jacket neatly over his arm, he then placed his left hand lightly against her lower back so they didn't get split up by those moving all around them.

Angela was straining to hear what Cody was talking with her about, and Dawn seemed rather content in just having her arms wrapped around Sean. With a slight wave of his hand, Riley offered Catherine a seat on the barstool, waiting for her to sit before he sat on the spare one next to her. His eyes moved over towards the dance floor, the crowded area filled with dancers all moving about to the fast pace music.

"Guys!!" Angela's yell was barely able to be heard by the others, but she moved closer and yelled again, then pointed over towards the back tables. She had one reserved just for her and her friends so she was going to try and get them over there, it was further away from the dance floor and so made it possible for them to hear each other. Pointing off towards the direction of the tables, Cody already on his way over there, Angela handing Riley a twenty dollar note before giving her their order for drinks. He smiled and gave a nod and watched as she hurried off to get to the table, Dawn grabbed up Catherine's hand and motioned for her to follow them.

Riley's heart skipped a beat as Catherine was dragged off from him, his height meaning he could watch her being taken off towards the back tables. He didn't get a chance to ask what drink she wanted, what if she didn't want a drink, what if he got something and she didn't like it? He stared at Lisa who hadn't been dragged off, then over towards the others again, what if Catherine got upset if he gets something she doesn't like, because she was already upset that he didn't know her well... He pulled out his wallet and withdrew another twenty dollars, looking rather lost as he stared back over towards where the others had gone. It wasn't fair, why did they have to drag Catherine off, she could have stayed with him, she was a young woman, they didn't need to take her, she could have gone on her own.. with him...

Riley stared back over towards Lisa, maybe she'd know what Catherine would like, but she seemed busy.. what with.. standing there.. Dave was standing beside her, he had gotten Catherine angry earlier, Riley wondered what the guy had done, he had grabbed her hadn't he? Riley didn't like that.. he stared down at the forty dollars in his hands and then finally turned and stared up at all the drinks that lined the wall behind the bar and then over towards the drinking taps that housed mostly beers. Riley's never been inside a club before, well there where that time where the demons had taken over a small nightclub four blocks down and he had to break in there with his team to stop the slaughter of all the humans that where held captive in there. But he didn't remember that and even if he did it wasn't really going to help him now unless he wanted to take out the entire management in the club for some reason...

There was a drinks menu sitting opened on the bar, only all the strange names meant nothing to him, he's never had any of these, the only things he's ever had was beer, normally light beer and then some red and white wines at Graham's wedding that was held in the large hall at the base. His eyes flickered over the strange names of all the drinks, Angela had wanted a Midori original, a jug of coke and a hot chocolate. But what did Catherine want? He wanted to go over there and ask but he wasn't sure if he should, if she got upset that he didn't know what she liked to drink would she get angry again at him not knowing what she liked?

He looked over towards the table the group had sitten at, a lot of people where in dark clothes, so Catherine's red dress stood out enough for him to spot her rather easily, which he liked. There wasn't any point in just standing there, he ended up just deciding on ordering what Angela had asked for and then he moved off with the tray towards the table. Carefully he placed down the tray and Angela yelled out her thanks as she scooped up her hot chocolate, she didn't want to drink before she sang. Riley knelled down in front of Catherine so he didn't have to scream out what he wanted to say, his hands balancing himself as he squatted down by resting on her knees for a moment, before slowly allowing his fingers to lace between Catherine's.

He liked holding her hands, he didn't want to think he was making her uncomfortable, but she had let him do so in the car, so he was hoping she wouldn't mind if he did it in here as well. He smiled as he leaned forward so he talk with her, her lips where so close to him now, just a little closer and he'd be able to touch her with his own lips.. But he struggled to push aside his thoughts and focus on what he wanted to ask her about her drink that she wanted.

"I didn't get to ask what you wanted.." It seemed better then asking he wasn't sure what she liked, this way it seemed he just wanted to know what she felt like instead of having no idea what she actually liked to drink. Maybe he could take her out onto the floor and just hold her for a bit.. but the music was so fast, everyone was dancing around and he couldn't move like that.

"What may I get you to drink?" Although his voice was louder then normal, it was still fighting to be heard over the other sounds echoing all around him. But since they moved to the table in the back it was much easier to hear each other, it was also a little bit more privet from the busy and crowded bar. She looked so pretty just sitting there, her golden brown hair falling about her shoulders, the time spent on it causing the hair to fall in gentle curls and waves instead of her normal straight hair. Though she looked amazing in her simple clothes as well, her eyes always shone through, no matter what she did or didn't do to herself, her eyes where still always amazing and seemed to blind Riley whenever he tried to look at them. It wasn't fair, she wasn't allowed to make him feel like this if she didn't like him, because that's what she had said before wasn't it.. that he made her angry.

Riley(about Catherine): Every time I look at her, it's like there's no one else in the room but us..

Re: Dying Star Nightclub - The Special School Dance
The vampire's hazel blue eyes looked away from the crowd of dancers, his ears tingling at the loud deafening sounds around him, though he was quickly getting used to it as his sensitive hearing adjusted to the noise.

"So... we're alone..." It would appear so, alone in a horde of humans, Spike looked over towards the group of students entering the club shortly after them. One of them was Catherine, and then there was Riley with her, so far Spike hasn't mentioned anything about his time down in the Initiative's holding cells, and he hoped those two didn't bring it up, the vampire would probably try and avoid them for the night.

"Ah hell, what are we supposed t'do now?" Looking back over to his one time lover, the vampire smirked slightly, he'd have figured even Rogue would know what people do in a club. Though in Spike's world people didn't really go out and dance, this was something he hasn't seen in a very long time.

"I figure you're not actually a party king kinda person but... 's what I'm neither" There was a devilish grin spreading over Spike's lips, what made her think he didn't enjoy a nice party here and there? He may not go out and blow up balloons, but slow dancing with someone in a dark nightclub was something he'd always enjoy doing. It's what he and Dru used to do before the eternal darkness swept over their world in their dimension. For once Spike didn't feel overly out of place in his favorite leather coat, others where dressed similarly, perhaps though not in the long style his trophy coat was, but still..

The vampire's hands moved slowly towards Rogue's hips as he stepped closer against her, guiding her back into the group of dancers rather gently with each step. He's been overly cautious the past few days since his return from the initiative, not wanting to let her touch his flesh incase she might see the recent things he's been through. He had disappeared for some time since first returning, only coming back a few hours ago in time for Rogue to invite him down to the Dying Star with her.

He hasn't told anyone about what he went though, or the things he's done or seen over the past few days, and no one's noticed how he's changed, so he would rather just keep it between himself and this worlds Slayer for now until things calmed down and begin to make more sense for him. The vampire smiled as he quietly let his head rest forward on her shoulder. That was one thing some might have noticed with Spike, he's grown very quiet, not talking as much as he used to and sticking with saying as few words as possible at times.

He didn't really think much about it, it's not like he was purposefully trying to be quiet, he just had nothing to really say now days.. But he missed this.. being close to someone, Rogue was his first ever friend and his first human lover so it wasn't easy to not be able to talk with her as much as he wanted to. But he just wouldn't know what to say if he tried to talk with her and he knew she'd ask all these questions and he didn't have the strength to answer or explain all of them.

There was one thing however, with his body was always growing and adapting with his lifestyle in order to survive with the change in times, Spike wasn't aware that his recent ordeal with Belthazor helped increase his natural ability of shielding his mind. So even if Rogue did touch him, unless he wanted her to see something, she couldn't be able to absorb his memories. It was obvious the vampire was already going through changes, his resistance to the sunlight, his unknown resistance to being staked, his strength was getting better and even his speed and agility was becoming far greater then in the previous months. All the trials he had to suffer in order to prove himself worthy for a soul seemed wasteful, to say he wasn't extremely angry as well as disappointed in his secret attempt with the Slayer to find his missing piece would completely be an outright lie.

If all the things he did, those six stupid trails, if none of them proved him worthy and yet he passed them all, how could they say he hasn't completed his tests, that's stupid and he was mad with them, half giving up on even bothering to try any further. He didn't understand what they wanted from him, what couldn’t he see that everyone else sees, that's what they said.. He wouldn't be able to finish his trails until he sees what everyone else sees when they look at him, what do they see? They see a monster don't they.. or do they see a creature, or an insane fool, what do they see, he wants to know but he's afraid to ask. Maybe that's why he doesn't speak as much, if he doesn't speak then he won't have the chance to ask them and then he wont find out what they see in him, he isn't sure he wants to know what they see when they look at a vampire..

Spike's arms held the untouchable mutant just a little closer to him, does she think he was still a monster when he holds her, is that what the Slayer sees in him when she looks at him. Is that what all the others see when they look at him? Just some monster trying to be something he's not.. a human. He could sense another vampire nearby, one that was familiar to him, Bethany, he wondered who Beth had come with, he couldn't sense any male vampires around here other then himself. Though he could pick up another supernatural being within the area, a fairy by the feel of them, it was amazing actually, Spike's senses have grown a lot since he arrived here, although he's always been able to sense things, but now he could feel their genders and their species.. He actually felt rather proud of himself, but it wasn't really something you could tell people about and have them look at you proudly..

Raising his head slightly, the vampire stared over towards some of the students who had began to yell out excitedly as another song began to play, their hands raising into the air as they danced about with a great burst of energy. But Spike dropped his forehead back down onto Rogue's shoulder, he missed her scent, her presence, he didn't like being alone in the cells, although he had the Slayer's company since then, they where rather awkward around each other..

Re: Dying Star Nightclub - The Special School Dance
((OOC: Nice to see you back again Storm :) ))

Aisha couldn't help but wince as the door openned and the pulsing music first hit her ears. She braced herself against the noise and hesitantly stepped into the nightclub followed by Sam. The long blue dress she wore was stunning but Aisha wasn't used to the eyes that fixed on her or to the silky material of the dress at all. Having grown up in a world where you never knew if the next moment you'd be fighting for your life, she had a few problems with glitz and glammor.

Sam didn't look quite at home either but he made the best of it, his trademark carefree smile lighting up his face. He was dressed up too, having traded in his bright band shirt for an actual suit.

"Come on, let's find a seat," he said in his thick British accent and it took Aisha a moment to figure out what he had said between the accent she hadn't quite gotten used to and the loud music.

"Music's pretty good innit?" he asked and Aisha nodded although she had no idea what he had just said. Sam laughed, realising she was just nodding along and led her along.

Why did I let him drag me along? Aisha thought to herself, feeling out of place as the words began to blur together and give her a headache. She knew though, it had been his charm...and their kareoke session.

~Flashback~

"Come on 'Isha, you have to feel the song, move with it. Kareoke isn't about standing there like a stick," Sam said and although his tone was serious there was a playful twinkle in his eyes.

The song was just about the cheesiest version of pop out there, pure bubblegum heartthrob type and yet neither one minded that the singer's only dedicated fans were thirteen year olds.

She held a hairbrush, he a comb and he rocked and even threw in a few dance moves although she could tell quite early on that he was no dancer. His talent lay in singing and although Aisha didn't think he took her seriously she had told him he had an awfully good voice. Too good for kareoke she had commented and had the pleasure of watching his laid back grin become a shy and sheepish smile as he blushed.

Now Aisha was actually getting into their little session. Taking his advice she began to move with the music and found she was a natural dancer. Her years of combat with nasties of the night had taught her speed and agility and she had the natural grace of a ballerina. Aisha moved and Sam looked impressed.

"You're not half bad," he said approvingly and she glowed. She didn't know why really, it was kareoke, nothing special, nothing to be proud of yet somehow his words meant something to her. "You've actually got a nice voice," he said and this time he was totally serious. It was her turn to blush.

"There's that party at a club tonight you know, you should give it a go," Sam said. She looked puzzled and he explainned. Aisha wasn't into parties or into loud music but she was quickly discovering that she was into Sam. His prescence put her at ease and she lost that edge that had become set in her personality back in her homeworld. Few people could do that to her, let alone with a Beatles sing-along and Aisha found herself tempted to go, more for the company than for the party.

"I think I can make the time," she said, accepting graciously without a second thought.

He looked pleased. "I'll swing by around seven," he said and couldn't help adding, "I've got some Beatles tapes in the car if you like."

She did and it was a date. Just like that and all because of him.

She sighed in relief as he found a quiet corner and she could finally hear herself think. The light was brighter here, decorative ornaments and lamps all around. In the soft light he could truly see her and tried to put her at ease. He wasn't the type to always comment on things and with her already feeling so awkward it seemed odd to compliment her right now, he made a mental note to slip it into the conversation later.

"Hey maybe the singer will be rubbish and we can give it a go, hairbrushes and all," Sam said and that cracked a tiny smile. "D'ya think she'll be singing classics, bubblegum pop or something in between?" Aisha asked him.

"I dunno but I just hop they don't play any of those novelty songs that seem to pop up at every dance. How many times does one person really need to hear the Macarena in their lifetime?" Sam asked, serious but with that customary twinkle.

Aisha laughed. "No more than once, we'll drown them out if if starts up."

"Hold on, I'll get us some drinks," Sam said with a grin and he headed through the crowds of people to the bar area. Both were too young to drink so he looked over the list of non-alcoholic drinks.

"Can I get a coke and a shirley temple please?" Sam asked as he stood near the bar. He noticed the guy sitting there alone and wondered if he was waiting for his partner or if he hoped to find one at the dance. Sam took an interest in people and he glanced around at the dance floor too, taking in each couple and making up his own stories about the people he saw there as he waited for his drinks.

Re: Coming!
The club seemed more crowded then normal since Scott began to hover around here, and now more people had began to file into the area. His eyes moved over towards the new people, but then more couples where seen and his eyes drifted downwards to the ground. It wasn't like anyone would dance with him or that he even knew how, but no one was looking at him even. When you're the center of attention for so many centuries it becomes rather lonely to suddenly go unseen by all those around you.

His eyes where drawn over towards the vampire he could sense, but the feeling, although was making him nervous, was also strange, he's never seen a vampire so he didn't know what kind of creature Spike was. When he looked back in front of him he noticed a girl making her way towards him, but like all those before, she was simply moving to his spare seat to get a drink from the bar. Quietly he slipped off the stool and moved away, weaving his way around the people that crowded the floor, when he bumped into them they'd normally get all nervous.

He didn't like it when things got really crowded, because it was different, because there where so many people, it wasn't just a small handful who couldn't see him, it was an entire room full of people and it wasn't nice to be ignored like this. He wanted to leave, hovering at the front door, but there was a crowd of people blocking his path, and because they couldn't see him they weren't moving for him, and he didn't feel like shrinking right now..

For a moment he just stood there, gave a small wave of his arm though the people stared right through him and towards the stage as they decided whether they wanted to dance or sit down. He looked over towards the stage where there where a group of young singers performing now, singing about something to do with not needing anyone, though no one seemed to be paying attention to the words and just dancing along to the music. He didn't know where to go once he left here, which made him not really want to leave, but with everyone always pushing him out of the way it was hard to sit around and relax.

And his wings where also getting stiff, he wasn't used to not using them so much, they felt so sore, maybe he should just go outside and spread them out for a bit. But then he'd have to shrink to get back into here, if he was seen by someone flying in there he might get unwanted attention like at the last place. If the fairy prince knew that demons really didn't like fairies then he most certainly would not have gone into a demon bar, but he had to go everywhere in hopes of finding Prince Arlen.

The group moved off, two of them passing on either side of Scott and bumping into him, neither seeing him and yet both apologizing to each other thinking they had bumped into each other. Scott ducked out, standing just out the front of the club and catching his breath of fresh air that swept by. Moving over to the car that sat just outside the nightclub, squatting down for a moment as he glanced about and then removed the jacket, slipping it onto the boot of the car before standing up again. After all, people could see his clothes if he wasn't wearing them properly, it felt nice to be outside, it was a little warmer in there and so much louder and the air wasn't as fresh.

He leaned forward slightly and let his hands rest on the jacket and as he leaned forward onto the car with his palms, it felt lonely standing out here, he wasn't used to being alone. And yet at the same time it felt even worse to be in there without anyone seeing him, he didn't understand that humans couldn't see him if they didn't believe in fairies, so he couldn't figure out why they couldn't see him. The prince’s wings fluttered softly behind him as he looked across the street at the group of students moving towards the nightclubs entrance. One of the boys seemed to reached towards Scott's jacket and seemed o be laughing with his friends over having found it, but Scott snatched it out of his grasp quickly and slipped his arms into it once more so it faded from sight.

The mutants seemed stunned and they quickly glanced about and apologized before hurrying into the club, they didn't seem scared, maybe startled, but mutants were used to seeing things like that at Xavier's school. Scott stared down at the ground for a moment, and then slowly moved over to sit on the boot of the car, he's never seen cars before he left his home but he had quickly grown used to them. Sitting on the back of the car, he pulled his knees close to him as he leaned back against the screen, glancing up towards the heavens as he waited for the crowd of the nightclub to die down so he didn't have people running into him all the time.

The stars where always pretty, he could just shrink and sleep under the stars like his ancestors used to do, but there wasn't a lot of trees or flowers to curl up into and he didn't want to sleep somewhere that he wasn't familiar with or was in a dangerous place. He watched from the boot of the car as more students arrived, the dance would last all night up until late tomorrow morning so groups of people would probably be wondering up for the next few hours if some planned on staying there all night.

Re: Coming!
"Guys!!" Cat glanced up, she'd just made herself comfortable sitting on the stool when Angela shouted them, hurrying over and handing Riley a twenty dollar bill, leaning over and telling him what she wanted before she grabbed Cat's hand and almost yanked her off the stool tugging her away through the packed crowds. She looked back but he had already been swallowed up by the packed crowds, she felt a second of panic build up in her, what if he met someone else if she wasn't there? what if he couldn't find them again?

She slipped nervously into her seat, usually she was completley comfortable in a night club, but then she usually wasn't wearing a dress. She looked around her at the swaying masses of people in the place, everybody dancing, everybody happy. It felt odd to be here with Angela and the others rather than Nina, Brad, Jon and Bekki, if she'd been here with them now she'd have been up dancing already, but she wasn't sure how to dance with this dress on.

Her eyes swept the crowd again, trying to see towards the bar, hoping to see where Riley was but he didn't seem to be there .... he hadn't left had he? She put her purse down on the table, blankly ignoring the conversation the others were trying to have over the sounds of the music. But suddenly he appeared out of the crowds, she breathed a sigh of relife and looked away, trying not to make it look like she'd been waiting for him to come.

Catherine watched as he knelt down in front of her, his hands on her knees for a second, then one of his hands moving to hold hers again, his fingers slipping between hers, holding his skin against hers. She blushed slightly and looked down at their joined hands, then up again at his face, listening to him as he spoke to her.

"I didn't get to ask what you wanted.." She turned a redder colour as she heard him speak ... he didn't need to get her a drink, she didn't expect him to get her one. "What may I get you to drink?" The next second she felt rather foolish, he hadn't asked her if she wanted him to buy her a drink, he was probably just offering to go to the bar and get whatever it was she wanted. She turned a darker red colour and something in her stomach seemed to knot up.

'I ummm...' Why was it suddenly so hard to speak? her eyes dropped nervously to his lips, why was he kneeling so close to her. 'Urmmm.' She seemed to have forgotten what she wanted to drink ... she should just ask for anything, she was just making herself look stupid at the moment. 'Could I have a vodka, lime and lemonade?' She mangaged to stammer, unfastening the small red hand bag and pulling out a rather crumpled ten dollar bill, sliding it towards Riley across the table. She didn't notice the necklace in there for the moment but just zipped the small red purse closed again.

Re: Dying Star Nightclub
There was a blush creeping across Catherine's cheeks, he wasn't sure why, he didn't really pay them much attention either.. He could help by be slightly distant in thoughts as he stared towards her eyes, there was one thing Catherine could always do to Riley and that was to make him lose track of everything except the thoughts of holding her.. kissing her..

'I ummm...' Maybe he was making her uncomfortable, a tiny smile tugged at his lips for a moment as he waited for her response, he didn't want to make her uncomfortable..

'Urmmm.' He inched slightly close towards her lips, though he was staring at her directly in her eyes, he paused and swayed back as she began to speak, he couldn't hear her so his eyes dropped down and he managed to lip read what she said. He stared at the note she slipped towards him, didn't she know it was rude for a date to accept money, in his mind any way.. He was sure he had more then her, so that made it even more important, he took the note and gently slipped it into her hands as he leaned forward once more.

"I've got enough, it'll only be more time if I have to pay for them separately." He called back as a poor excuse on why he wasn't accepting her money.. someone he didn't think she'd be all too pleased if he said he didn't want her to pay for anything. He was slightly disappointed and yet also rather relieved that she hadn't seen his earlier rejected gift, he was sure she'd just get upset if she had seen it. He knew she didn't want it, but he wanted her to have it, she wasn't the only stubborn one around here... he could be as well if he wanted to be. With another smile he got to his feet, ducking an weaving his way back to the bar, his eyes quickly shifting over the people there, most with dates or hurriedly ordering drinks to take back to their tables or where they where standing.

"Could I have a vodka, lime and lemonade..?" Riley stared at the choices, he hated choices, why did people have to have such a huge variety of options, he wasn't used it to and it was all overwhelming.. being free was so hard sometimes.

"Make that two.." He added to the bar tender giving up the struggle to figure out whatever half this drinks where, he wasn't sure how it would appear him walking back with a normal beer when all the others seemed to be having these odd drinks. Slipping the guy his money, Riley grabbed up the change and put it into his inner pockets before taking up the drinks and moving back towards Catherine and the others. Riley only just managed to place the drinks on the table when Max seemed to almost get thrown into Riley's side, causing Riley's hand to slam down rather hard onto the table. Max didn't seem to notice.. or bother to apologies, laughing out loudly as he moved back towards Mark who had pushed him in their play fight before his entire group seemed to move off towards the distant area of the dance floor.

Continuing on as usual as if nothing had happened, Riley just moved over and took a seat beside Catherine, staring down at his drink and then looking up at Angela and Cody who where kissing, quickly dropping his eyes away and also trying to ignore Dawn and Sean who where talking, Dawn was overly eager to get out onto the dance floor. He looked over towards Catherine's drink, would she mind if he took her hand again? Looking up over towards the many dancers, Riley noticed only then that Max was with a girl who wasn't the one he had left the institute with, it hadn't even been fifteen minutes and he's already hopped to another date.

It didn't seem fair, he was sitting right next to her and she'd let him hold her sometimes and then it's all awkward again the next minute, why couldn't it be simpler? He stared over towards the crowd on the dance floor, there was no way he'd go out there while everything was so fast paced like it was, people had their arms in the air and where moving about so swiftly.. Would Catherine be terribly upset if they waited till things slowed down before they went out there... more importantly would he be able to handle just sitting here..

Slowly he raised the glass to his lips, his eyes desperately trying to avoid drifting over towards Angela and Cody, has he ever kissed someone like that.. he assumed he has, he wanted to remember the first person he kissed, and the first person he loved.. But she wasn't here with him, all he had was Catherine and for some reason he was finding great enjoyment from just being around her..

distraction
Sweating lightly but with a broad grin on her face, Aurora left the club.

"Pheeew...."
She took a deep breath but the warm breeze swirling around prevented a real acclimatisation. Before she could ask what had occurred in her mind as an idea, she heard Aran's soft voice at her side.

"Go, chérie. I don't mind... there's a whole bunch of newbies inside which I still haven't talked to"

They exchanged a grin of silent understanding just like kids who know the same "secret" hiding it from the rest of the world and then, spotting someone he knew just entering the Dying Star, Dryad re-entered.

Circe waited for a moment in which no one was around - as she thought - and lifted herself in the air.
Her raven hair flew back as she speeded into the nightsky breathing the fresh, cool air she had been longing for and enjoying the night's beauty - the sparkling stars, the silvermoon - while for those seeing her, the fiery mutant looked like an oversized shooting star... or a phoenix just having risen from the ashes.

After a few minutes, Garnet returned to the ground feeling ready for another excessive dance session. While fixing her hair, her dark eyes' aimlessly wandering gaze suddenly spotted a young man sitting on the back of a car.

"Dammit"
The hissed curse escaped her lips before she could prevent it and blushing lightly, Circe pretended nothing had happened.
Why hadn't she thought of taking a look somewhere else than the sidewalk? What if this guy was one of those anti-mutant people whose number had increased rapidly in the last few years?

If she had taken a closer look at Scott, she would have noticed his definately non-aggressive behavior as well as his wings... for some reason though, she didn't.

"Um..."
,she began searching for a clever way of finding out whether he would be calling his buds to invade the club in a second.

"Hi... are you waiting for someone?"

*Should have drunk less....*
, an ironically commenting voice stated in the back of her mind. The fun aside, this was just not her day.

~Inside~

Something had changed. It was nothing Rogue could put a finger on but still, after not having seen Spike in what had seemed ages to her, the southern belle had a strange feeling of alienation. Whatever had happened, it had changed him and their relationship.

What were they anyway?
Friends? Probably.
Lovers? Occassionally.
A couple? ... well, that was something Rogue didn't dare to think about, a question that was not to be asked.

As he rested his head against her shoulder, it felt like back then when he had revealed his love for her but contrary to the last time, he was overly quiet. She caught herself wishing he'd say something, even if it was just the kind of insane babbling he used to do.

*Why are we always wantin' what we don't have, what we wished to get over with before?*

There was no one to reply to this question and an overwhelming feeling of loniless so strong it was almost making her cry once more arose. It was a silly thing to feel - being close to the one she was in love with, possibly even loved, but knowing that didn't help. No, it didn't help at all.

The southern belle lightly brushed through his hair, something she had missed as much as this light scent of something indefinable that she could only smell being close to him now. Some days ago when his powers, his self had been stronger within her, she had been able to sense it over a large distance. It was obvious that slowly but surely, she was losing this part of him inside of her, that it was disappearing back into the shadows of her mind. Rogue didn't want it to go, yet couldn't do a thing about it other than by touching him.
For a second or two, she though about it seriously but then discarded the idea. There was something he was hiding from her and as much as it hurt, this decision was his and his alone.

She would neither ask him the questions her mind longing for answers desperately wanted to pose nor use her powers to force them out of him.

The noise around them was silenced by his presence, the music nothing but a dim sound in the background as the two slowly moving figures hovered in this sea of pulsating energy, this violent whirlpool of life those students cause and which had no chance of even touching them.

"Ah'm glad y're back"
she whispered and meant it with her very heart.
Before she closed her eyes, Rogue took a look at him, trying to memorize everything in case this was the moment she would go blind to never see him again. The despair was swept away by a flood of happiness which occurred as suddenly as the other before.

Yes... maybe she loved him.

Life can be like a stone thrown in the sea. It creates waves, maybe changing something, maybe not, but no matter what it causes, every single wave will disappear into nowhere...

Re: Dying Star Nightclub
"I've got enough, it'll only be more time if I have to pay for them separately." Didn't he understand that she wanted to pay, it wasn't fair if she expected him to buy her things all the time. For as long as she could remember all her freidns had always been the ones to buy her drinks and now when she had some money .... even if it had been Anne's she still wasn't allowed to spend it. She felt him press the money back into her hand, her eyes looking across at him. She sat and fiddled with the zip of Lisa's red bag she'd leant Cat, her eyes trying to pick out Riley in the crowd while ignore Cody and Angela who'd decided to start kissing each other.

She was glad when he returned with the two green coloured drinks, but it seemed the instant he put the glasses down someone almost feel into him. She felt a frown flicker across her face when she saw it was that boy from yesterday, the one who'd suggested she came here with him tonight. She wanted to snap something at him for knocking into Riley, but he left before she had a chance and Riley didn't seem to ruffled by the impact of Max's body against his.

Cat watched him slyly out of the corner of one eye while he sat down, he did realise she'd have to buy him a drink when he'd finnished that one didn't he? It was only fair, she felt a small thrill trace through her at the thought of their hands maybe touching over the glass. She blushed slightly more as she looked over at him, what did they do now, the others looked very engrossed in each other.

'Err thank you for the earings .... they're lovley.' She said, her mind feverishly trying to think of something to say to him that wouldn't sound too stupid. She could feel the palms of her hands breaking out in a rather nervous sweat, she tired to resist the urge to rub them on her legs, she could do that when she was wearing jeans no hastle but not when she was wearing Lisa's dress.

Re: Dying Star Nightclub
The sight was one to be admired, his eyes following the fiery trail of the mutant as she dived and darted about in the starry sky. It wasn't until she had landed that something about her had seemed different to all the others he had seen, the fact she was able to fly without wings and burst with flames was amazing.. but.. was she looking at him?

"Dammit" He propped himself up onto his elbows and stared at her, then over towards the other side of the street. The young Prince stared back at Garnet with surprise as she seemed to still be staring towards him, she wasn't of fairy blood, how come she could see him? He removed his coat incase he had to make a fly for it, he'd probably put slits in the back soon so he could wear it and slip his wings through, it saved him always taking it off to stretch his wings.

"Um..." Cocking his head slightly to the side, Scott studied the human, she was talking to him as well.. he's never been talked to by a human. Any of the mutants who knew Tessa the Half-Fairy at the Institute would be able to see Scott since they knew Tessa was a fairy and that she was real.

"Hi... are you waiting for someone?" Scott moved slightly towards her, holding his jacket tightly against his chest with arms, his eyes searching over her face. He couldn't believe it, it's been so many days since someone's actually talked to him that it was almost starting to hurt. His eyes drifted over her face almost too curiously, he's never seen a human before that's stared him back in the eyes, and they didn't look a whole lot different to fairies.. just much bigger and without wings. His own wings where folded tightly against his back so she wouldn't have been able to notice them very well if at all. But the young Prince seemed to be very wary of the girl, he just saw her on fire and she wasn't hurting, could all humans do that.. it was a rather scary thought..

"You see me?" He wasn't sure if he was relieved or now scared, what if she hurt him? But the fairies natural curiosity caused him to want to learn more about this.. why could she see him, why could she fly without wings, how and why was she on fire before?

"Are you not human? Why can you see me and others cannot? How do you fly without wings? Does the fire not hurt you when it swallows your body?" He'd been so missing the chance to talk that he was suddenly leaping on poor Garnet with all these questions in hope he'd just have someone to talk with him. In his excitement to be seen his wings sprouted out from where they where folded on his back, their movements gentle like a butterflies as they open and closed very slowly, though his wings where clear as a dragonflies. He was ready to dart off the instant she became hostile, but he didn't want to think that she was, not the only human that's been able to see him in this world.

Re: Dying Star Nightclub
'Err thank you for the earrings .... they're lovely.' Glancing over towards Catherine, Riley offered her a smile since he didn't have it in him to yell out a thank you right now, he was glade she liked them, he really wanted her to like them..

"Oh, I'm on after her, I'll see you lot after my song." Dawn looked up from her glass of coke she was pouring herself, she was only 17, not 18 for a few months so it wasn't legal for her to drink any of the alcohol the others could.. it didn't seem fair. Riley gave a small wave as she waved bye to them and then disappeared into the crowd, he watched as Dawn eagerly urged Sean out onto the dance floor, his exact express hard to tell since it was dark and he also wore those glasses.

Cody slithered very quietly from his seat and seemed to make his way after Angela, if Dawn had seem him she'd probably had told him off. Cody was no doubt going off to see Angela and if he didn't like what she was wearing then he might upset her and Dawn would have hated her to go out and sing right after getting all upset. The girl singing however seems to have been focused on lost loves, most of her words Riley hadn't heard, but now that Angela was going up there to sing, he looked up and listened to the dark hair singer that was on now.

She pinches herself because she thought it was make believe
Foolish girl her happiness she could not see
Always thought she’d be the one with endless chances
So she betrayed your trust and took your love for granted

Glancing down at his drink, Riley decided to take another sip, it was an odd drink, he's never had vodka before and it was strong, not like the simple beer that he was used to. He couldn't see why the girl was singing all those depressing lost love songs, most of the people seemed to ignore the words and just dance along to the music.

She never really noticed the scent of your cologne
until it finally hit her that you were gone
I couldn’t believe that she was so naive
until I realized that she was me

That would be sad, if someone gave a girl all their love and they didn't even notice how special having that love was until he was gone. Did that really happen? Riley didn't like that idea, his eyes seemed focused on the green drink, he wanted to talk with Catherine but he didn't know what to say..

I don’t wanna dance alone
Don’t wanna be on the floor without my baby
And since I can’t be with you
I haven’t had an appetite for nothing lately
I don’t wanna dance alone
Even the robins can’t sing a sad sad song
Can’t be alone don’t make me do it alone

Pulling the glass from his lips, his eyes drifting over towards Sean and Dawn as they danced and then his gaze dropping down to the table again. He looked over towards Catherine. Maybe if he asked her to dance then it'll be alright if they have nothing to say, he always mucks up when he speaks anyway, how many times has she seemed to get upset because of something he says?

When I felt the pain the tears fell down like an ocean rained
Enough the fill the sea with my apologies
I have died inside and nobody knows
My life is gone with you and our tomorrows

That's like Catherine and himself right.. they seem to have both lost someone and she had been in tears before, he didn't like seeing her cry, it had been why he had gotten so upset, what had he done to make her cry? He gave her another smile, maybe it was better if he didn't say too much, he could just use the excuse he didn't want to yell with the loud music around them..

What do I have to do to make the music right
How do I get it back to you and I
The foolish girl has risen from her dream
Now I realize how much you mean to me
Come back to me

The song was nearly done, Riley deciding that leaving now for the dance floor now was better then when Angela started singing. If they left now then they could get comfortable with each other while this song ended instead of while their friend was singing.

I don’t wanna dance alone
Don’t wanna be on the floor without my baby
And since I can’t be with you
I haven’t had an appetite for nothing lately
I don’t wanna dance alone
Even the robins can’t sing a sad sad song
Can’t be alone don’t make me do it alone

Pushing his drink forward slightly, Riley stood up and then pushed his seat in and moved over to the other side of Catherine between her and the dance floor. Holding out his hand for her to take, his hand gently closed around her own as her fingers slipped into his hand. Cody had returned as Riley was about to escort Catherine off onto the dance floor, slumping into his seat rather defeated looking, obviously he lost a last minute fight to get her to wear pants instead of a dress for one or two of her songs.

Came on over here and make love to me slow
Up in my room we can dance to the radio
Turn the music on and pretend that we’re still close
Give me your hand
May I have this dance
Make it last
Say I have a chance

The song was finishing now, she was on her last few lines and Riley looked down at Catherine rather unsurely, he didn't know how to move like some of the others where doing, would she be upset? He could hear the song that girl had been singing was over and he slowly stepped towards Catherine, his eyes staring down at her feet as if worried he'd step on them. Letting out a slow and nervous breath, Riley looked up, staring over to whom he only just realized to be the vampire who had been with him and Catherine when they escaped from the Initiative. Well if a vampire could hold someone then he for sure could as well, he stared back down at Catherine, his hands raising slightly as if about to hold her yet seeming to hesitate.

Stepping slightly closer to her, his hands slipped around her waist and rested on her lower back, his head tilted forwards so his cheek could rest against the upper side of her head. It was hard since he was taller then her, but in her hi-heels and with his head tilted forwards, it was much easier to hold her without towering over her.

"I can't dance... can I just hold you Catherine?" He didn't want to step on her feet, especially if she was in those shoes and he didn't want to trip of her.. But he liked this... he liked just holding her like this, he could do this without hurting her, he could just hold her.. was that allowed? Could he just have her in his arms and hold her..

Re: Dying Star Nightclub
There was a stroking of fingers moving through his hair, the vampire giving an odd purring sound at the comforting touch that he had been without for so long. He knew that she could sense he was hiding something, he knew her well enough to know that. And it hurt to think that she knew because he wanted to tell her and she must think he wanted to keep a secret from her. But how does he say what happened to him? How does he tell her.. he hasn't told her he's implants been removed yet, he hasn't told her that he seemed to have failed getting his soul, he hasn't told her what had been done to him down in the cells.. Only Catherine knew and even she hasn't commented on it and he was glade, what right did she have to say anything, if he didn't want anyone to know what that girl had done to him then that was his right, wasn't it?

"Ah'm glad y're back" His face pulled slightly away from her shoulder because she seemed to be looking over him, his hazel eyes drifted up to her emerald ones though they dropped down to her lips almost longingly before he glanced up to see her eyes had closed. There was something different about Rogue, just in the way she'd hold him and the way she'd talk with him.. look at him, it was all so much softer. But would she still want to be with him if she discovered he was without his implant? Would she still like to hold him close if she knew he was able to hurt her.. she was just starting to hold him, he could be so happy just to stay here with her, but would she hate him if she knew that he was able to kill again? That he failed to get his soul, that's why she brought him here wasn't it, so he could get his soul..

"Ah don't scream when ah look at you... 'coz ah'm used to see the being behind the face. Whatever you've been told... you can't tell wha's within someone just by lookin' at him"

He could.. he could tell right away what's within someone.. if they have a soul or if they are hollow and empty as he was, she had a soul, a bright wonderful soul that was kind and caring and strong. What did he have.. a hollow empty space, with soft echoes of the human that was murdered so long ago.. those echoes could fade away at any time.. he could become a monster again and now there was nothing to stop him from hurting others.

"You want me to leave..." ... "tha's what you say. But I looked into your heart... no"

It could have been better if she had left him in the room of shattered mirrors... that was his room.. that was his home, in his world. He knew that place, he hated it, it was cold and dark and always lonely, but it was HIS home.. Now where was he? In a world where his counterpart was murdered, along with his old love and now one of his only friends seemed to be hell-bent on trying to either kill him or turn him into a monster again, why couldn't Willow leave him alone? His arms held Rogue more out of comfort now instead of affection, raising his hands to her upper back and holding her more closely against him.

"You say you want to get rid of the demon.... but if you have the chance to get your soul back, you don't take it... because you're afraid. You're still in your cage.."

But he tried to get it and he failed, will she see that he tried as hard as he could, he saved so many lives, he helped a family, he did things he never thought he could do and fought creatures that where so much stronger then him.. He did all of that and he won each time and yet he still somehow wasn't found worthy for a soul..

"Fall and ah catch ya, go wild and ah draw it onto meh till ya come to senses again... don't give up on yourself coz ah won't.."

Well it was very hard not to give up on himself when he was failing so many times and for things that where very important to him. Would she still want to catch him if he fell so far that he wasn't willing to get up again, what's the point of being here if he didn't even have a chance of being with a soul.

"Rogue...I've never belonged anywhere before, not in life, not in death...never...but it's different around you. I'm going to be useless in your world, I can't help fight your enemies because of the chip in my head. I know there are going to be times where I'll be so crazy I probably won't even recognize you, and that scares me, the thought of you seeing me like that."

And it happened didn't it, he forgot who she was and even thought she was Cecily, but he didn't mean to, and he was trying to help them get rid of the vampires attacking them. But with Catherine bleeding all over him and with Riley panicking and with him all scared that Catherine was dying it was hard staying focused and it wasn't really his fault.. Rogue had gotten so upset, he could see it her eyes, and every other time he's gone insane.

"But I will stand by you forever, I can be your hero when you need me, I can kiss away your pain, I can listen to your hurt...an' I can hold you until the loneliness you feel goes away."

He hasn't been able to hold her often recently, he hasn't even been able to listen to her, or be near her, or kiss her or just be close.. He pulled away from her slightly, still holding her close but now moving his face so it was in front of hers, his eyes looking down at her lips. It wouldn't hurt if he just gave a small kiss would it, how much could she see in just one kiss? His arms dropped down lower on her back as he seemed to grow extremely distracted with the thought of just kissing her, but would she be upset if she finds out everything? Maybe he wasn't sure he wanted her to know about everything he's been through..

He missed her taste so much, would it be wrong, just one kiss, just one and then he'd stop.. would it hurt her, he wasn't sure, but he knew she might be upset, but wouldn't she at least feel better to know what's happened? She finds out if he just gets a kiss... that seemed fair.. she finds out his secrets and he gets just one kiss.. Leaning slightly more forward, his lips lightly touching the southern belle's, but unlike all the other skin to skin touches, this time not a single memory of his flowed to his lovers mind. His eyes where closed as he turned his head away from her, tilting it down towards the ground. Taking in a soft unneeded breath, the vampire eagerly allowed his cheek to touch Rogue's own cheek, he hasn't had contact with her for so long. His lips found there way quickly back to her own, hungry in the desire of just wanting to be with her once more.

"I want you to see me with my spark, I want you to see my soul when you look into my eyes, like I see yours when I look at your eyes."

Pulling his lips away, lowering his head with his eyes still closed, it wasn't fair, she'll never see his soul in his eyes, he didn't feel she deserved to be held by something like him. What if she was just holding him because she thought he was able to get a soul and he'll change.. But he can't change, he can't because they won't give him his soul and his chip was removed, if anything he'll just become a monster again.

Re: Dying Star Nightclub
It wasn't really something Jarod was expecting, people where fighting and then he's never been outside in the dark before, and the car he's never seen this type before, it didn't seem safe and he's never been inside one before, it was all so new and he wasn't sure if it was exciting or frightening for him. He looked over towards Mandi, he wasn't sure what to say to her, he felt so out of place that he just smiled and then stared out the window at the passing world until they pulled up outside the club.

Jarod hovered closely beside Mandra as they entered the club, everything was so loud, but Jarod didn't have trouble hearing Mandi because he could just hear her thoughts when she directed them to him. Everything was flashing and moving and people where so close together and they where all holding each other, he felt very confused and unsure of all this. His dark eyes shifted over the many unfamiliar faces and his body seemed to at one point almost hide behind Mandi's as they moved ahead.

His eyes searched for familiar faces, but he knew no one other then those who where either in the limo with them or waiting in the hall. He felt awkward, he wasn't sure what he was supposed to do here, he's never heard of humans gathering in places like this before, and the quick flicker of bright lights every now and then was causing him to be rather nervous. It was also a shock with all the people and all the fast movements and loud noises, as well as their minds all rushing to invade his own thoughts and he had to struggle to block them all out.

It wasn't easy, his eyes glancing around all the time, but he was sure nothing bad would happen, Mandi would tell him if there was something dangerous around. He looked over at her again, stopping beside her and then letting his gaze wonder over the sea of people in a slightly more calmer way, slowly getting used to the type of crowd that he's never been around before.

Re: Dying Star Nightclub
A Black Mustang pulled up and into the parking lot of the Dying star as Shalimar shut off the engine and the couple got out.

Shalimar"Hey I hope ya didnt mind me driving it's just Im kinda used to being my own driver."

With no real objection from her date Shalimar just smiled and the 2 made there way up into the club but deep down Shalimar knew this night was just beginning but she wasn't sure how the night would progress. This was the first real social call she had gone to since.....ever but she tryed to take it all in stride.

As the couple walked in Shalimar and Lachlan were greeted by the sound of music and partying,It was a a very welcome sight through the eyes of the Blonde haired feral.

The two made there way over to the bar and sat down and ordered a beer.

"Shalimar:So anyway I guess while we wait ya wanna tell me a little bit more about yourself Lachlan?

Re: Dying Star Nightclub
Mandi was nearvouse but she made herself swallow that emotion. She had to be brave for Jarod. When he looked at her, she smiled at him. If anything were to break out, she wouldn't let Jarod get hurt... No, she'd fight to keep him from harm.... She paused in thought to wonder what that all was about. Why did she feel so protective all of the sudden... She shook her head lightly and watched the people dancing. Watching them gave her another thought and she began to observe and let herself learn. Mandi smiled and looked at Jarod again.

"Do you want to dance with me?" She asked while thinking towards him at the same time.

She hoped that he could hear her because she wasn't sure if this technique in speech was somehting that would actually go through. Mandi felt like she had been in placed like this before and a little glimmer of hope surfaced that it may be a hint of memories coming to her... Familiarity was a good sign, right? She gave Jarod's hand a gentle squeeze and questioned him with her eyes.

Re: Dying Star Nightclub
Some of the people would brush against Jarod as they moved around him, and if he tried to move away from them he'd just move into someone else, so he gave up on trying to avoid them. His dark eyes would drift off towards the dance floor an watched the couples as they moved, it didn't seem comfortable being all so close together, weren't they uneasy with every being so boxed in around them?

"Do you want to dance with me?" Jarod looked over towards Mandra after he heard words from her mind directed towards him, not hearing her voice at all since he wasn't paying attention. Glancing over towards the floor and then back down at her as her grip around his hand grew slightly more firm and the look about her eyes caused him to flash a rather warm smile. He was extremely nervous but if she wanted to dance then he wanted to dance with her.. he just wasn't sure what dancing was like..

Moving through the crowd and entering the area the others where dancing, his eyes looking around at the many others and then up towards the ceiling at all the lights. It was all very strange, his eyes soon moved out towards the dark haired singer who was finishing and moving off the stage for the next entertainer to begin. He's never heard humans singing before, or dancing, it was all so new, for some reason he never thought about what they did for fun or social activities. Allowing his eyes to slowly move around at the feets of the others and then over their body languages, Jarod looked down at Mandra. It wasn't easy on the fact that some people where just dancing together as friends and others where lovers and somewhere just standing around so it was hard for Jarod to figure out how he was supposed to act with her.

"What am I meant to do?" Poor Jarod looked rather lost as his hands hovered at her side yet he didn't seem sure how he was supposed to hold her, or how he was supposed to move. The young telepath speaking into her mind since the music here was very loud, he's not permitted to raise his voice, and the punishment was terrible so he wouldn't dare raise his voice in order for her to hear him. Even though these people would not punish him in the ways he keeps thinking might happen if he stepped out of line like he had done back at A.Corp.

He's never held someone before, this all felt so strange and alien, what if he did it wrong? He didn't want to do something wrong, he wished he had time to study all this, he might have been better at it then, he could normally just read books and then he'd be able to mimic what they explain to him. His eyes glanced over towards the others beside them and then back down at Mandra, shifting slightly closer to her and being careful not to hurt her feet or step on her dress.

Re: Dying Star Nightclub
As one of the last few limo’s pulled up outside Lauren almost jumped out of it. She couldn’t wait to hear Angela sing, plus she had never been into a nightclub before and was excited to see what it was like inside. Every time she went somewhere new she was excited, well that or very nervous and tonight she wasn’t showing any sign of being nervous. During the trip from the institute she had looked over at Heath a few times, to see his reaction from what it was like to ride in something other then a carriage or horseback, since it was a new experience for the Knight.

Once inside the nightclub Lauren stopped, not too far from the doorway, and looked around. She saw heaps of people, some were dancing, others just standing around or sitting and chatting and a few were at the bar getting drinks. A smile spread across her face, this was so cool! The loudness of the nightclub didn’t really bother her, she’d been to parties and other places where music was played loudly, and if she had to talk; yelling at the top of her voice wouldn’t bother her too much. Yelling was just as easy as talking for the luck-altering mutant, she quite often yelled at the top of her lungs when she was at the Footy, getting glares or strange looks from people sitting around her who went for the opposing team. Honestly, just because their team was loosing didn't mean they had to take it out on her, even if she was rubbing in to them.

Lauren: "So, what do you think?"

She asked Heath, rather loudly so he could hear her, as she saw him from the corner of her eye. Her eyes were still rather busy wandering around the nightclub watching all the activity that was going on. Also, the good thing was that things would only get better as the night went on.

Re: Dying Star Nightclub
It didn't make sense, not only wasn't she mad but she also said that she was glade he had told her the truth, she seemed to have no intentions of punishing him for his misdeeds and she still wished his company to the dance. She even offered to keep his secret, it would certain death for her wouldn't it, to take upon his lie in front of the King?

"You’re a free man!" It wasn't a word that has ever been used for him before.. a free man.. he was always a servant or slave of one person or another. How could she give him such freedom? She must have royal blood within her because no one else could give such great gifts at whims like she has been doing. The horseless carriage was far smoother to ride then the ones he has ridden, the buildings where tall and the roads covered in a strange blue rock of some kind... with white lines.. As the car pulled to a stop, Heath lingered back as everyone else left the car, slowly following out of them, his mind in such shock that he was having troubles absorbing the alien things of the world and just instantly accepting them as normal.

Following closely beside Lady Lauren, Heath's eyes darted about as his hands patted down the front of his shirt, it was so loud he wanted to cover his ears, people where everywhere and they where all so close to each other that he wanted to close his eyes. People of his time never danced so closely, at least not in public dances, but this wasn't a dance, this was a huddled group of people all ..holding each other.. and somewhere kissing and Heath was keeping his eyes locked downwards to the ground.

"So, what do you think?" If he said he thinks he's about to faint how would that sound? His heart was racing so fast that he was sure it was about to break through his chest. It wasn't something Heath's ever seen before but when he looked over towards Lady Lauren, she seemed very pleased with this.. someone he figured she'd think him ill mannered if he said anything other then approval of this bizarre dance.. it was more like a brothel for him however..

His mouth opened slightly but then closed as he stared back down at the ground, it wasn't allowed for a peasant to raise his voice to a noble, but for her to hear him that's what he'd need to do, he was in enough trouble, he didn't want to be punished for yelling at her as well. He looked over towards the stage that had a girl he had seen before, the blonde haired girl having been the one who suggested Lauren take him to that blue furred monster that she had called McCoy. Angela gave the two new arrivals a grin before indicating their table with a quick glance of her eyes over to the table that Cody was slump at bored and waiting for Angela to finish with her songs. Everyone else from their group was dancing, or more standing out there holding onto their dates.
