By the time Riley had managed to get to Arlen's room, Scott and Heath had also arrived, the merman's whispered words while he was laying dying on his bed have unsettled Riley greatly.. He wished Catherine was here, just for her to hold him and tell him he'll figure something out, or for Lisa to be here, and then she could tell him what to do.. There was only so much grief the Prince could bare, if Riley told Connor what had been the cause for Arlen's state then Riley wasn't sure if he could stop Connor's temper, especially with the brutality that had been delt upon his little sister Arisa. Part of Riley hoped greatly that Arlen was unwell and not speaking the truth.. but he had blood on his white singlet, the sleevles item of clothing was proof enough for Riley that what had been said was true.. Arlen attacked Arisa.. but why?
The door opened to the War Room, allowing Riley to enter, a collection of both familiar and unfamiliar faces all gathered about a table. There where still a few places free, Sean wasn't here, either was his mother who called the metting, there where a few co-leaders of teams in the room.. but Riley secretly hoped that Sean would be distracted with Dawn and not bother to turn up. Staring over at Connor Enright, Wolverine's son, though he and his sisters seem to think lowly of their famed father at this point in time.
"We're all just really waiting for Mrs Summers now, some of the others are running a little late but hopefully we'll start as soon as she gets here." Connor spoke to Riley who took a seat beside him, Riley hasn't been in the War Room before and had a team meeting, not many of the students had, normally only the X-men gathered here, but with the emergancy they where letting everyone into the room to take part in the talks. "Dawn says she saw Cat with you this morning." Connor had leaned over a little closer to Riley but Riley had no intentions of talking about the problems between Catherine and Dawn, or the happenings between him and Catherine.
"Where's Rogue?" Riley glanced about, the Untouchable mutant who had been spending a great deal of time with Spike seems to give Riley odd looks whenever they pass each other. It hadn't taken long for him to figure that she knew about what he had done to Spike a while ago while under orders from the initiative still. Sometimes it felt as if she wanted to pull him over and just start telling him off, but then again, that could just be Riley getting paranoid and guilty over what he had done when his team had captured Spike and they put that implant into his brain.
"Don't know, did you hear about the rumours with Spike?" Riley shook his head as Connor talked, Connor continued in a little lower voice so not to interrupt the others around them who where also busying themselves with little chats "They say he was in the front hall this morning with cuts all over him again, wasn't dressed probably either, belt undone and bare foot and stuff." Which meant Spike was most likely insane again, and Riley didn't like that idea, he didn't like much that was happening when he wasn't with Catherine. People where in trouble, but why so many and all at once?

Re: Emergancy War Room Meeting - ( Xavier's Attack )
Mandra stepped into the room silently. She was too disturbed to say any greeting as she cmae in and took a seat. Today, she had walked into her dad's office to see him unmoving... then she had found out just recently that the guy that she believed she may be..... no, is in love with was the sone of Xaveir. She closed her eyes, still silent in thought. She also mentally scolded herself for worrying about personal things when something big was obviousely going down. Still, her moods would not be supressed all the way as the symbol glowed dimly on her upper cheek.
" Jean should be here not too long form now... She's getting Jarod right now..." Mandra whispered out just loud enough to be heard by the people in the room.
< Why is this happening? What could have done this to Dad?... Whatever it is.. it needs to be stopped. I will make sure that I will do everythign in my power to take down whoever hurt Dad!> She thought.
Now the symbol lit from the violent intentions she was having towards whomever may have made xavier in the state he was in right now.
" They will pay..." She whispered out, more to herself than anything.
Mandra crossed her arms, concentrating on keeping her abilities in check. She then tried thinking of what could be done to help.
<Wait.... father and dad are friends even though they are not exactly on the same level with things... Maybe he could help some way?... No, I can't just run to him for this.. I don't want to worry him too much... But I will keep that as a last resort...> She thought.

Re: Emergancy War Room Meeting - ( Xavier's Attack )
Having allowed the two ladies to help him without too much complaint at first, Jarod wasn't used to getting help, it felt strange and almost wrong for them to be helping him, it may have been months since his freedom from A.Corp but he still suffered from their rules and abuse. If only Marilyn had walked down that hall sooner she would have witnessed the attack on Jarod, but Cole had managed to order Jarod to forget what had happened. If only the X-men knew just how dangerous and close all the threats that where surrounding them where, they had more then just the possed people of the witch king, they had Lord Kayel and his servant Belthazor working their own people against them by using a magical powder that is very similar to brain washing, enabling Cole to give the selected handful orders and without them really remembering him talking to them.
At the door of the War Room Jarod hesitated, he still didn't like crowds and he wasn't feeling well from the attack, though no one was aware he was attacked, all they knew was that Marilyn found him out cold in the hallway. Jean placed her hand on his arm as they entered the room, the Pheonix motioning for the vampiress, Marilyn, to take a seat as she helped Jarod over towards Mandra. There was a soft little groan from the pain of his still stiff feeling body being forced to move and bend so much. Jean had wanted him to go and rest in the Med Bay, but it would have only caused him more stress so there was little point in sending him there to recover.
"Thank you everyone for coming at such short notice, earlier today Mandra," Jean's hand rested on the shoulder of the extremely pale purple haired woman as she walked past her and over towards the head of the table to talk to everyone. "Found Xavier in his office, Hank has taken him to the Medical Room for observations and so far all he can tell is that the Professor has somehow fallen into some form of a Coma." Jarod stared at Jean and then at Mandra beside him, his hand lifting to rub at his still hurting chest, how can someone just fall into a coma like that, but Jarod couldn't ask, he was more focused trying not to look like he was hurting too much since there where eyes glancing at him, a pair of which where Mandra's.
"He does however appear stable, until Beast finds the reason this has happened and is able to reverse the effects, I will be acting headmistress." It was known that Jean was always assigned acting headmistress of the school when Xavier had to leave for important business. "There will be a roll call tomorrow morning, all students must make sure to be in the school, there will be a cerfew starting for everyone, including the older X-men." There where a few groans from the young kids but a quick glance from Jean reminded the younger co-leaders this was a serious meeting. "People are to be in school grounds by 5:30pm, and the gates are to be locked at 6pm, the password shall be changed for security reasons." Since Jarod rarely left the school this didn't bother him, but it was obvious there was some discomfort brought on by this news, Connor for example didn't know where his sisters where and Riley's girlfriend, plus many others where outside of the school grounds, since school finished at 4 or 4:30, it was usual for people to start to leave at five or six. It was after three now, a lot of people would be out, even if the school had an announcement there will be many trapped out of the school who arrive late...
"What happens if you come and the gates are locked and you don't know the password?" Riley didn't like the idea of his girlfriend being caught out in the cold and snow unable to get into the school grounds.
"There will be someone posted at the gates, who ever approaches the gates needs student id or some other form of id to enter, even if you recognise them. There is something going on and we're not sure what, so until things become a little clearer, we are going to be on our guard and assume the worst." Jean glanced about for a moment, staring at Jarod who still seemed to be fidgeting about uncomfortably in his seat. "Everyone is to keep their eyes open for anything strange and then report to me, I will be in my office, try and not wonder too far from the school too long, I will be calling another meeting the instant we have more information, any further questions." As Jean stopped speaking to give others a chane to talk, Jarod looked rather uncomfortably towards Mandra, he's never been sick before and he didn't like the painful feeling in his chest and now his stomach. It was only then he had noticed really that her symbol was glowing, he wondered what was causing it now, well, she did find his father in his office in a coma of sorts, that'd make anyone upset. His hand reached over for hers, taking it up in his larger one, the trembles from the previous attack nothing more then a faint twitch now and then in his hand and fingers.
He wanted to talk with her, ask if she was alright, but it would have been rude to speak personally while Jean and others talked more importantly, even if this was just a meeting to give the leaders wanrings of the new school disturbances. Riley shifted about a little before opting to speak up, he wanted nothing more then just sit here and listen without getting involved, but he knew things that he was sure Jean wasn't fully aware of.
"Heath Knight and Scott Freeman are with the mer-prince Arlen, I'm worried if we can't find Arisa, he might die, if the Prince dies under our protection," When it came to all things from the supernatural or mythical world, Riley had an extensive knowledge about it. Helps when you take Demonology and Mythology Classes for eight years in order to better understand the weaknesses and strengths of the creatures they where meant to protect civilians against. As far as the Initiative was concerned, anything demonic was evil or worth studying, and anything else was simply worth studying, although a merman would be of no threat since they are considered peaceful, the secret military organisation would take great delight in studying the creature and all his magical properties. Riley fiddled a little with his phone as he paused for a moment, Catherine didn't have any form of communication on her so he couldn't call her, but the thought of her getting locked out if she arrives too late and having to wait out inthe cold and possibly snow for someone to open the gates for her have unnerved him a little. Maybe if he called for Angela to go and find her.. Riley let his wondering thoughts focus back on what he was saying, thinking over the possibilities of what could happen should Arlen die. "We would have another problem with his father, the King was against Arlen remaining with us." Connor had stood up while Riley finished speaking, Jean had a rather grave look about her, last thing they needed was more trouble, Riley glanced up at Connor and then stood himself as some of the other's who had nothing else to add got to their feet.
"Marilyn, would you find Spike, Rogue seems to be out of the school grounds, most likely he would known where she's gone." Jean turned her attention quickly over to Connor "You and Riley organise guards at the gate for the next few days and nights, Mandra, Jarod, I want you two to remain in the school, if someone is out to hurt the Professor's family then it's best we not give them any more chances to get to you." Phoenix stood, but still waited incase others still wanted to add anything, Jarod stared at her, Xavier was IN his office, he was attacked inside the school, they couldn't protect his father, what hopes do they have in protecting any of the others in here?

Re: Emergancy War Room Meeting - ( Xavier's Attack )
Sean walked quickly down the bright white hallway towards the war room, he had got the message to go there later the night before, but with everything happening between him and Dawn he didn't get it until now and was now late and in a rush to catch up. Sean looked at his watch again as the door came into view and saw how late he was, he hated being late and his mother was leading this meeting. He hoped he hadn't missed much.
He stopped outside the door, hearing his mothers null voice reverberating through the door from the war room, making sure he looked presentable he stepped forward and the metal doors slided open to allow him access, his obvious entrance grabbing everyones attention, their piercing stare making him feel two foot tall. He nodded at his mother with a slight smile and whispered quietly "Sorry"
Quickly looking around the room, seeing many of the people were sat in their team groups his gaze darted to where Riley sat, being a fellow member of X-Force he quietly stepped up to the chair that was next to him and rested quickly into it, shooting a greeting glance at Riley with a slight smile. He knew that Dawn was one of Riley's friends and didn't want to cause any problems with him surrounding the 'Cat issue' especially if they were to work on the same team. Sean had both co-lead with Riley and lead X-Force when he wasn't there for his own reasons and so, on his part, he didn't want to make it any more awkward than it already was or could be.
His gaze fell back on his mother at the front of his room and, accessing his powers, he pushed his thoughts onto her I am sorry mum, i didn't realise the time, hope I haven't missed much He didn't want to have to tell his mumexactly why he was late, how he was cradling the one he loved through the night, and continued to hold her soft skin against his own. He had learn't way to shield certain thoughts from other telepaths. Even though he knew she wouldn't, Jean wouldn't be able to access those thoughts. Although his glowing, bright emotions were something he couldn't control as easily.

Re: Emergancy War Room Meeting - ( Xavier's Attack )
When Jarod took her hand, tears brimmed at her eyes and the symbol lit more. her body tensed slightly more than it had been but that went unnoticed by Mandra. She didn't pull her hand away but she couldn't hold his hand like she usually would... not until she could speak to him...... She concentrated hard on not letting any of her abilities slip out from being effected by her emotions. The upset feeling began turning into anger towards whoever or whatever may have placed her adoptive father into that coma. Then her temper sparkked a little more so at Jeans last words to her and Jarod.
"Mandra, Jarod, I want you two to remain in the school, if someone is out to hurt the Professor's family then it's best we not give them any more chances to get to you."
At those words, Mandra's eyes lit slightly and the symbol was in a full glow. She may have not left the school very often at all but she still felt that if she needed to, she should be able to. But of course, there was a difference between someone wanting something and someone getting it. Jean WANTED Jarod and her to stay in the mansion but that didn't mean that she was going to get it. She decided to express her thoughts in another manner than word for word on what she was just thinking. Mandra looked at Jean.
" I'm sorry to tell you this but if I have to leave, I will. If things get too out of hand, I WILL go and ask my father for assistance. I'm sure that he would at least concider helpping if he knew of Dad's situation. After all, Dad would do the same for him. They've looked out for eachother in the past so, like I said before, if things go too far off the handle, I will go to ask him for some kind of help." She said cooley although her eyes and markings showed the torrent of emotions inside her.
< And as far as it supposedly being safer in here than out there, what about Dad? He was in his office when he went into that coma. I'm wondering if us staying here in this mansion may just make it easier to get at us.... But on the other hand, I refuse to be taken out easily... I will not let anything happen without a fight. I don't know how far exactly I can go with the elemental ability but I'll find out.> She thought in silence.
She looked to Jarod and felt a twinge of pain in her heart so she looked down. Although their relationship may possibly be in danger, she refused to let anything happen to him without at least trying to protect him... That thought made her close her eyes to keep in the tears. The hand that Jarod was holding grew a little cold. She thought for a moment until she was distracted with the image of that man of her nightmares. Her eyes flew open and she shook her head to try to clear it. That was the last thing she needed. Her heartbeat quickened to where it was like she had just finished running. Another flash of the image went across her eyes and she stood up out of her seat, withdrawing her hand from Jarod's.
" I.... I need to take a breather... but I'll stay in the building...." She stated quietly and quickly before leaving the room and going into the hall right outside of it.
Once out in the hall, she slid into a sit, shaking slightly. This was no time to be having this happen. It was enough that he haunted her in her sleep, giving her nightmares everytime... but she truely didn't want this to be happening in her waking hours. Definately not under this situation... Mandra had left the room so not to accidently hurt anyone in there. There were enough things going on without her going crazy and attacking everyone... There were footsteps coming down the hall and Mandi looked over to see who it was. Her breath caught in her throat and her eyes widened at wht she saw.
His red and black eyes were locked onto her as he came closer and closer. Blood trickled down from the corner of his mouth and also covered him. It was even dripping down from his fingertips and onto the floor. Mandi couldn't move, frozen in that spot in fear.
" Come 'ere belles.... You know where yah belong, chere..." He said in that eerie whisper of his.
The hall around her changed to look torn up and burned in places, blood on the floor and walls. Flames licked at some of the places on the walls and wires hung down from holes that had been seemingly blown into the ceiling. It was dark now, the only light coming from the stattered flames and the occasional sparks from the wires.... tmp...tmp...tmp.... She could hear the footsteps coming closer to her. She felt sick, terrified, and upset. Suddenly, in the next spark from the wires, she saw him standing right in front of her, those eyes locked onto hers and seeming to turn into live coals for a moment. Hot slick blood dripped onto the back of her hand and in the next second, both her hands were covered in it.
" C'mon chere! DIS where you BELONG! You belong to no one else!" He stated in chilling tones.
Mandi shook her head voilently, gripping the sides of it even though her hands were coated with blood.
"No! Go away! I don't want to see you! I don't want you touching me! I down't want to speak to you! Please, just go away! I don't want to be with you! I want to be with Jarod! I don't belong to you! PLEASE JUST GO AWAY!!!!" She shouted, closing her eyes tightly.
Why did this person terrify her so much? He made her almost paralized with fear to where she forgot she even had abilities to defend herself with......
Outside of the illusion, frost covered Mandi's clothes and ice was formming on the wall and the floor around her. Shards of it began to creep out of the ceiling and downwards and from the floor upwards.

Re: Emergancy War Room Meeting - ( Xavier's Attack )
"Marilyn, would you find Spike, Rogue seems to be out of the school grounds, most likely he would known where she's gone."
At this request Marilyn tensed a little bit......Look for Spike?Spike at least she Spike she remembered was always very emotional something that this Spike certainly had enough emotion to go around which always had the young vampiress concerned seing as he seemed to always walk the line between emotion and insanity.
Marilyn nodded as the meeting started to come to a end almost as quickly as it had started the vampiress wanted to voice her opinion about the new steps so much but as much as she was a defiant person she wasn't stupid.
"To be honest I'm really not sure where Spike is at the moment but Im sure I can track him down after all he's family
She smiled at Jean trying to show that she was sencere about helping and she really was but her concern was more for Spike then anything even before she was asked by Jean Marilyn had thought about looking for Spike the situation with Rogue had gotten around her ears and her biggest concern to excluding the school was to look out for him. That and with the possable dangers being presented against the students and Phoenix taking over as the headmistress temporarily there was reason for concern.
"Is that all ud like me to do or can I help anymore with anything?"

Re: Emergancy War Room Meeting - ( Xavier's Attack )
Everything else that happened in the meeting went unnoticed by Jarod, who tilted his head slightly at MAndra's odd behaviour. Her eyes where moist with faint tears threatening to form and spill down her cheeks, her body had grown tense and her hand, unlike all the times before, her fingers did not curl comfortingly about his hand.
" I'm sorry to tell you this but if I have to leave, I will. If things get too out of hand, I WILL go and ask my father for assistance. I'm sure that he would at least concider helpping if he knew of Dad's situation. After all, Dad would do the same for him. They've looked out for eachother in the past so, like I said before, if things go too far off the handle, I will go to ask him for some kind of help." Jarod hadn't heard Mandra speak like that before, and the tone in which she spoke, how she said it, the way she looked while speaking, it almost frightened Jarod for talking in such a way back in A.Corp resulted in a terribly painful punishment.
< And as far as it supposedly being safer in here than out there, what about Dad? He was in his office when he went into that coma. I'm wondering if us staying here in this mansion may just make it easier to get at us....> Her words whispered angrily into his mind but he shut out her thoughts quickly since they weren't helping him with his own fears. When she looked at him he tried desperately to keep her attention only she looked away, causing a little hurt to be seen in his eyes since he hated seeing her upset and right now there was little he could do. Looked down at her cool hand, his attention was snapped quickly back up to Mandra as she stood.
" I.... I need to take a breather... but I'll stay in the building...." When she hurried out of the room, Jarod seemed ready to go after her, but Jean motioned for him to let her be on her own for a bit, turning her attention over towards her son for a split secnd before noticing Riley had opted to sit down once again even though he was ready to leave earlier. If Sean was going to remain for the rest of the meeting, then so was Riley, even if the meeting was technically over.
"Well, actually we're done Sean." Riley informed him, staring at the others in the room who had began to either leave or chat in small groups about what was happening and organising times and places for team meetings. "Oh, Sean, Dawn's been asking if it's possible to switch teams and join X-Force.." She had wanted Catherine to be removed from the team roster since Cat wasn't even at the school any more. And although he knew that Dawn would make a great member for the fact her powers are able to be long distance and offensive as well and short distance defensive, or either which way you want. "..Can you tell her I don't think that would be a good idea." Especially considering she is yelling at him for moving into a room with Cat, and yelling at Catherine for having run off 6 months ago. Riley wondered if Sean had noticed the fact they are roomed beside each other in the dorms, Riley was just glade, for a change, that he had his implant that stopped people from scanning his thoughts. Last thing Riley would want was Sean getting into his mind, especially now he was with Cat all the time, you never know what telepaths get up to, though Riley was rather content in telepaths not knowing what he was getting up to.
"...PLEASE JUST GO AWAY!!!!" The shout caught the attention of some of the people in the room, Jarod got up to his feet and rushed to the door as quickly as he could while being unwell. At first there was worry that Mandra was getting attacked, but when Jean and Jarod found her on the ground against the wall it seemed to another event like what had happened down at the Dying Star with Mandra. Jean allowed Jarod to be alone with her as she turned about and focused on those in the room, letting the doors slid shut behind her.
"I heard we have guests in the Medical Lab, this worlds Angel and the other worlds Slayer, Jennifer, once you get Spike, see if either of those two are able to come meet with me, thank you Marilyn." Jean replied to the vampiress, she didn't really like the idea of Mandra speaking to her in such a way while other students where pesent, maybe Mandra wasn't up for this.. she seemed rather stressed with so many other things.
Outside, Jarod had knelled in front of her, his hands reaching for her cheeks to guide her face to look at him, his mind whispered softly into her own thoughts, he didn't like this, seeing her upset and out of control.. He knew full well he risked her attacking him again by accident but he didn't care, his dark eyes remained locked on hers, even if they where shut. Mandra's hands where grasping at her head, Jarod's larger hands moved to rest over them and he shifted forward to be closer to her.
Mandra, it's alright, I'm here with you, can you see me?
He didn't want to scare her, he remembered last time she her mind had played tricks on her and made it hard for her to see who he really was. She was so cold, and there was nothing Jarod could do until he knew she was alright and he could take her somewhere to lay down and recover.

Re: Emergancy War Room Meeting - ( Xavier's Attack )
Her eyes opened but seemed to hold no reflections as they seemd to look not at jarod but through him. Frost began to form over her cheeks and hands and her skin began to pale. Mandi's lips began to tint blue but she didn't seem to feel cold. Her expression mirrored her fear.
Mandi had thought she had heard Jarod but when she opened her eyes, she only saw Le Beau..... eyes of live coals, face pale in what looked like death, blood trickling down from the corner of his mouth and covering him.... He.... He had his hands on her cheeks... Mandra was scared speechless and she held her breath for a moment, eyes widened in terror. A small wimper excaped her before she jerkked away and then scooted away from him. Her fear of him was bringing her touch with her abilities even closer as she began to concentrate on gathering up enough to do an all out attack to rid herself of this living nightmare.
" What you doin', chere? Relax, Mandi...." He told her.
" No..... I will not relax!" She snapped back, standing up with her hands raised slightly in front of her.
Ice and frost began formming as a fast rate in and out of the illusion. The walls, ceiling, and floor were coated in a thick layer of ice. Shards of it rose up out of the floor around her and spheres of ice began to fly in rapid orbit around her hands.
"Le Beau... You just better get away from me or I will do it!" She warned, symbol lighting to where the walls reflected the light from it dimly.
He laughed at her, his eyes glowing eerily. It was as if he found her upcoming attempt to defend herself as amusing. This unnearved her even more.... She wanted to call for Xavier but he was in that coma... Now she wanted to call for Jarod...
" Gonna call fo' yo brother, Mandi?... Even afta he lie tah yah?... Jus' give in, chere. It be easier dat way...." Le Beau stated in that unnearving whisper of his.
She faltered in the use of the ice for a moment but quickly regained control again as she glared at him, trying not to fear him. Trying to look on him as her enemy.... But why was it so hard to right now? Why was her fear and anger swapping to a hurt feeling? She felt like crying now but she kept herself from doing so, figuring that she had done enough of that for one day...That seemed like so long ago now... Was it today?... She started feeling a little dizzy as she thought back to what happened today... well, as she tried to anyway. He took a step forward, distraction her from her thoughts and instantly making her defensive.
" Shut up! Don't talk about Jarod like that! he didn't lie to me! And give in to what!?.... No, I won't give in!" She snapped.
The spheres of ice that had been orbiting her hands now seemed to blurr at the speed they wrere moving in. something like fog began to form from the cold that was coming off of her and her surroundings. She now tried harder to remember the day's events..... How had she gotten here?.... How did he get here? She couldn't remember.... mandi had forgotten that this was an illusion a while ago....
"Jus' fo'get, Mandi.... Know only o' now an' here. Jus' give in, chere. Give in an' it won' be so hard fo' yo anymo'..." His whisperes were like they were in her head...
" No...." She whispered.
Mandi started feeling cold.... Not only on the outside but in the inside too. But she wasn't paying attention to that. No, she was still trying to remember... What had led up to this? Ice began making something like a mask over her face, covering across her forehead, down the side of her face, and covering her cheeks. Some of it formmed down her arms in rings. It began to go up over her feet and legs.
" I will not submit so easily...." She stated but she was feeling so dizzy as she spoke that she was unsure if she had said ti at all.

Re: Emergancy War Room Meeting - ( Xavier's Attack )"Well, actually we're done Sean." Riley's words seemed a little strained, and although Sean couldn't put his finger on it, and if he wanted to know exactly what it was he could just use his powers, but he wouldn't do that to someone; wouldn't mess with his gift.
Sean let it pass, he knew that Riley had had a hard time of it recently, Dawn had always made her views clear to him and so he was always filled in on how Riley was doing. He knew from experience that Cat could be hard to cope with, but Riley was doing well, and it was obvious how strongly he felt for her. Riley turned again and began to speak, that strange twinge to his voice still edging in.
"Oh, Sean, Dawn's been asking if it's possible to switch teams and join X-Force....Can you tell her I don't think that would be a good idea" Sean didn't know about Dawn's request, and he found it strange that Riley hadn't told him earlier as he was the co-leader of X-Force, and even stranger that Dawn hadn't mentioned it. Although Sean did seem to agree with Riley at this point. The teams had been put together as they were because they complemented each other and swapping could tip that balance.
Sean knew that if Dawn came to X-Force, he would be able to do something he always wanted to; to protect Dawn, but he also realised that if Dawn was on his team, not only would he be forced to send her into dangerous situations, he would also be worrying about her safety, putting him and others at risk. Then there was the whole issue of Cat being on the team, and he knew that bringing Dawn in could just cause a team divide whether Dawn meant that to happen or not he knew it couldn't be risked.
Sean shifted a little around, his eyes hiding behind his lenses full of senserity, and he hoped Riley could feel that;
"I understand Riley, I will talk with her if you want me to and explain why." Sean didn't really no what else to say, he didn't want to mention anything about the past missions where he ahd been forced to lead incase it was still a raw subject with Riley. Thinking quickly he decided to ask about training, something X-Force hadn't done for a while;
"Do you know when the team has to get together again for another training session, it's been a while since the last mission and training.... Sean was cut off by the dull sound of shouting heard from the corridor and Sean watched as Jarod sped from the room.

Re: Emergancy War Room Meeting - ( Xavier's Attack )
It didn't really make much sense, it had been a while since she had done this, he wondered what was causing her to have these visions that scared her so much. When she opened her eyes he tried to give a little smile, people liked it when others smiled, only she just looked more scared before pulling away from him.
"No..... I will not relax!" Tilting his head to peer up at her as she stood, his eyes soon turning off to stare at the effect her powers where causing, forcing him to his feet slowly to avoid any ice covering him. When he stared back up at her his eyes focused on the ice she had moving swiftly about her hands. Mandra had attacked him once, there was no doubt she would do it again, although she was being threatening Jarod was more upset that she was hurting and he wasn't able to help her.
"Le Beau... You just better get away from me or I will do it!" ..LeBeau, Jarod had decided a few months ago he didn't like the fact Mandra knew this man, he wasn't sure why, but every time Jarod thought of Gambit being allowed to hold her and kiss her, it upset him greatly. Jarod dropped his gaze, Mandra may be talking to someone else but she was staring at him when ordering him to back away. He took a little step away from her, he didn't want to, he wanted to move forward, but he seems to find it hard to do anything else when people tell him to do something. But Mandra seemed to calm, Jarod waited a moment longer before he dared step forward in hopes she was snapping out of it. But the instant he did proved she hadn't, her body language becoming dangerously defensive as she glared at him.
"Shut up! Don't talk about Jarod like that! he didn't lie to me! And give in to what!?.... No, I won't give in!" Jarod shifted about nervously as he stared at the ice spares, he didn't want to hurt her, he could let her hurt him until she was aware what she was doing again, he didn't want to run off and leave her. But then if she did hurt him then she would be upset again, she'd be angry with herself and want to lock herself away. Jarod's mind grasped the balls of ice and pulled them away from her, slamming them hard against the wall so they would shatter. Neither Jarod or Mandra where aware their problems where all part of an attempt for Cole to push Jarod away from the safty of the school. After all, what point would it be to simply take Jarod back, they wanted him to want to go back, what better way then trying to make his life in the school as difficult as possible?
"Mandra, I'm here, you can't see me but I am here, what you're seeing, LeBeau, he's not here, he's not in the school. Even if he was, he wouldn't hurt you, because I'm here.. and Jean is in the other room... I'm going to step forward Mandra, I'm going to reach out.." Jarod's hands timidly reached for Mandra's shoulders as he spoke into her mind, but his next words where spoken outloud "..and hold you, because no one's going to hurt you." She was cold to his touch, and he expected to be thrown back into the wall so his last spoken words where a little nervous sounding.

Re: Emergancy War Room Meeting - ( Xavier's Attack )
(OOC: Corrected my mistake... you might need to edit something as well. so sorry!! )
As Aurora reached the meeting room's entrance, the situation was even for the Institute's standards rather unreal. A girl partly covered by ice, something faintly resembling snowballs lying around... and the GSF's co-leader having his hands on her shoulders. For some reason, she remembered him as being rather unemotional, hardly able to track other people's sentiments
"Pardon our intrusion"
, the fiery mutant said in an untypically timid way. This state of hers even increased as the vampire entered the War Room, leaving her alone outside with the two others.
On their way as well, Spike's had not really bothered to adjust his pace to her walking but then again, if he really had been too fast, flying was always an option. In fact, she had relyed on that when he passed her room. Quickly she had entered it to check on somethings at the panel in it which had a direct link to Cerebro, the supercomputer whose latest software she had given her input to. The results had been more than alarming.
However, since they had left Rogue's dorm, the last words Spike had uttered were still spinning in her head.
Spike: "You realize our chess pieces are all pawns, while they have many queens."
Were they really as powerless as he said? Was what they could do as pathetic as a pawn's range of moving compared to that of a queen's? Was there no hope at all?
Circe refused to believe in that, after all, hadn't Spike predicted their defeat when it was about fighting Angelus as well? Still they had been victorious... it just had to be possible this time as well.
Not knowing why her team's co-leader was basically hugging (compared to his usual standards) the frozen one, Aurora smiled a strained greeting wondering whether they were bothering to look at her but instead of entering after Spike, stopped in front of the automatic doors for a moment.. There wasn't much time she could dare to waste but still... who was she to interrupt whatever they were doing without being asked? Still, the situation almost demanded to at least hint them to do so. Evesdropping was even more impolite... and Jarod was one of the people she definately needed to talk to as soon as possible.
"If you have some time... there is trouble arising which I would like to discuss with you"
The girl's whisper was replied to with a reluctant nod which was answer enough. Quickly, Aurora hurried to follow Spike repeating the apology she had uttered upon seeing Mandra and the GSF's co-leader.
There was a free seat close to Riley which she chose. Gracefully, the material girl sat down close to the only person in the room which she had ever distrusted. Or better the one about whom a hunch had told her that there was something... suspicious. Every now and then, she caught herself glancing at the agent when he looked in the opposite direction.
However, it was again the time to say something.
"May I speak openly..."
, the ebony-haired beauty began and added with a sideglance at the now closed door.
"...or be of any help?"
Circe couldn't help but wonder whether anybody of the people around would feel disturbed by her presence... maybe she had gone too far daring to intrude into this meeting. Straightening her posture, the fiery mutant decided even if this was the case, she would tell what had to be said. This was not the time for rank policy!

Re: Emergancy War Room Meeting - ( Xavier's Attack )
(Jarod and Mandra are outside the door of the war room )
The sudden rush of sounds and scents dazed Spike for a moment as he ran his pale finger tips along the dry lips of his hungry mouth. The vampire often had troubles feeding, it wasn't only the discomfort of having to collect his blood packs from medical lab, there was the added fact the animal blood tasted so foul to him that it made him ill and sick. Allowing his hands to nerviously wondering over his scarred chest as his hazel blue eyes moved over the faces and then dropping down to the belt of his jeans, he had done them all up while wondering here, showing Garnet he was taking more focus in what was happening to him and around him.
Letting out a shaky breath, the vampire stared at Riley, giving a soft growl at the young man on the other side of the table staring back at him. Leaping into the air and onto the table, his bare feet silently landing as he crouched before Riley, his arms stretched out beside him as if to keep him balanced. Slowly Spike's eyes turned towards Sean, the powerful scent of Dawn drifting off him, and then Riley, the strong scent of Catherine also flowing from him, two girls who always seemed to make things hard for Spike. Slowly the vampire looked over towards the other boy beside Riley, staring at Connor, then over towards Jean and back at Riley. Spike didn't like groups, and since he was only wearing jeans and nothing else, it wasn't very comfortable for him, though his insanity helped him forget his lack of clothing easily enough.
"Gettin' a lil'slack ain't you Soldier-boy?" The vampire whispered, but it was loud enough for anyone to hear since Spike had their attention. The comment upset Riley who shifted about uncomfortably, Spike's finger pressed lightly against his lips as if asking Riley to be quiet.
"Shhh.. no no, came to say I know who done it, thinks I don't know when he pops in an' out doesn't he? Felt her in the grounds the other night b'fore he hurt her.." Spike stared off towards the window of the room, Rogue had flown out that window once when Dru had tried to make Spike hurt others, back when he was a captive here.. But when Angelus and Dru where hurting him all the time, but he's free of that now, free of their suffering and pains, now he has Rogue who hurts him.. Rogue and all the other little humans who always make things hard for him and hurt him with their words. He had been in the library when he felt Willow arriving, snooping around, but she had been attacked by Cole in order for Lord Kayel to attempt to carry out a plan he has that will result in her loyalty to go to the dark lord instead of her cousin, now known as the Witch King.
"Daddy came, no one bothers to talk to the kiddies, Xavier hid them well though, can't blame'em for hiding, not much fond of humans or demons, but since only Xavier is meant to know 'bout'em.." Spike's eyes dropped to the smooth surface of the table as he thought outloud, mumbling to himself with a distant, yet thoughtful, look in his eyes. A few months ago the Slayer brough the Turner twins to the school, Spike only knew about them because Bethany had told him of their arrival. Spike found a place to hide them where both the watchers council and Belthazor could not find them, but then.. maybe that had nothing to do with Cole attacking Xavier.. Cole attacking Xavier would bring the Twins out of hiding, but if he had left Xavier alone then there would be no need to contact the Twins.. Or maybe Belthazor wanted his son and daughter to come out of their hiding spot for some reason..
"No.. doesn't make sense, it can't have anything to do with Kalzar and Imawen.." Spike didn't pay any attention to Riley's eyes darting from him pale face over to Garnet and then nervously down at his hands that where fiddling with his phone. Daddy came, no one bothers to talk to the kiddies Riley had to wonder if the kiddies where Kalzar and Imawen.. because then that can only mean their dad was.. Riley's thoughts where interrupted as Spike leaned forward and spoke rather mockingly towards Riley.
"Just remembered you'd be little help if he comes again, what's the point in tellin' you anythin'.. you'd probably turn on us with a simple command from him." Riley stood up angrily at that remark, then again, anything Spike said to Riley was normally in an attempt to wind the former agent up, so Riley's insulted reaction to Spike's comment caused the vampire to give an amused grin.
"You know Kalzar and Imawen?" Riley kept his voice low, trying not to look as upset as he was at Spike's comment, but Spike was thinking and ignored Riley, turning about and hopping off the table in a smooth movement. Riley didn't didn't seem pleased that Spike had ignored him, glaring at the vampire who was lost in his own ramblings. And if Garnet thought Riley hadn't noticed the constant curious glances he got from her she was wrong, and he was aware she knew there was more to Riley then what he was letting on. Spike shifted over towards Garnet courching down and speaking quietly, a look as if he had some little idea plotting away inside his shattered mind.
"We get'em Aurora, an' you have ya two Castles." Spike stared at Riley who sat down and was frowning at Spike while he talked, Spike glared at Riley for a moment before turning his attention back to Garnet "He told her once 'If you're going to hate someone, make sure you hate them for who they are, an' not what they are'.. but then again, I guess he hates me for both reasons.." He thought for a moment before before adding "Ro' spent a night with me here so I wouldn't be alone.." His eyes wondered to the wall behind them before looking off towards the corner on the otherside of the room, turning and wondering off over there to sit down, leaning his back against the wall and shutting his eyes as he remained quietly off on his own while Garnet did or said whatever it was she wanted to do or say.. Spike knew Riley hated it when the boys past was brought up, especially in front of others, the boy didn't like talking about demons or the Initiative with other people who did not know about them, mainly because Catherine had ordered him not to tell anyone, and aside from that, to tell others would put their lives in danger as well as his own.
Riley stared at Garnet after Spike walked off, then frowned a little and glared down at his phone, fiddling with it in his hands as if waiting for a call any minute.. Catherine was out and even though it had only been an hour or two he was really missing her.. And seeing Spike made him think of the Initiative and that thought didn't help ease his worried mind, he just wanted her back so he could make sure she was alright.

Re: Emergancy War Room Meeting - ( Xavier's Attack )
She saw Le Beau cone towards her and step through her means of defense as the spheres some how scattered out to hit the walls.
" See chere, you can't attack.... Jus' give in an' it be easier fo' yah..."
"No!" She cried out quickly in a whisper.
The ice from the floor benieth them suddenly began growing, encasing the one holding her from his feet up. But suddenly, the ilusion shattered and she did a couple of rapid blinks before snapping out of it all the way. She saw that Jarod was holding her and that ice had wrapped around him up to his knees like vines of some sort. Mandi immidiantly dismissed the ice manipulation as the expression of horror of what she almost did crossed her face. With extreme concentration, she took on the fire manipulation and flames appeared out of nowhere to lick at the ice that had formed around Jarod's legs. She only hoped that the ice had been melted away fast enough so there hadn's been any damage. After him and about three feet of the area of the floor were removed of ice and carefully made sure not to be burned in the process, Mandi dismissed the fire then fell into a sit, a little worn out form fighting. She hugged herself, grabbing onto her sleeves.
" He almost made me......" She began but she silenced herself.
Fear was now the main feeling in her heart at the moment. Fear of what she almost did and of how whe had been so close to giving in.
" What does he want from me? Why is he doing this?... You're not a liar, Jarod.... I won't believe it... You just didn't know, right? You didn't know that I'm Xavier's adpotive daughter... You didn't know that you and I are...." It hurt her to even think of it nevermind saying it.
" Oh he know, chere.... He know very well... How can't he? He a telepath, rememba?" Le Beau walked into view from the shadows of the hall to the left.
Mandi looked over and tensed. She didn't want to see him.. She didn't want to believe.
" He know de whole time, Mandi." He stated.
"... Jarod... did you know?" She asked, looking to where he stood.
" How can he not know? You tink dat Xavier woul' jus' not say anythin' ? Jarod's not yo' friend, chere. He playin' from de start... No one yo friend here. Dey all yo' enemy!"
Mandi stood up and shook her head.
" 'Specially him."
She gave a yell of anger and shot her hand up, bringing forth flames in between her and Le Beau. She then gestured outwards, the coulumn of flames shootig towards him like a giant blow tortch. The flames didn't seem to touch him. It only made him smirk. Seeing that it wasn't working, she dismissed the flames. Luckily, no one was in that spot out of the illusion.
" You tryin' tah burn up yo own lova? Come now, chere, you can't do that... Jus let yo min' open some more an de fear will go away."
" Why are you doing this..? I don't even know you! What do you want!?" She demanded.

Marilyn at first thought about reacting but changed her mind more than anything she just wanted to see what would happen. If it came down to it shed react but for now she was just a spectator.
"Daddy came, no one bothers to talk to the kiddies, Xavier No.. doesn't make sense, it can't have anything to do with Kalzar and Imawen.."
Marilyn walked to the side of the table looking up at the Blondie haired vampire his words didn't make much sence to her but then again this wasn't anything new.......her mother was insane after all so she was use to it.
"He told her once 'If you're going to hate someone, make sure you hate them for who they are, an' not what they are'.. but then again, I guess he hates me for both reasons..Ro' spent a night with me here so I wouldn't be alone.."
"Spike what in bloody hell are you talking about!"
Marilyn's patience was starting to wear out even if the anwser was there she just wasn't getting it.

Re: Emergancy War Room Meeting - ( Xavier's Attack )
ooc: sorry for the shortness peeps..
-------
The vampire frowned at his 'step daughter', though it was really the Spike of this world's step daughter and in truth neither of the two had spent enough time near each other to even build up much of a relationship. And the bleached hair creature was not in the mood for the tone she had used, he glared at her rather indignantly.
"Haven't you got people to play with?" There was a rather cold tone to his voice, unlike the Spike that had been cheerfully strolling the school for six months. "Coz daddy's a lil'busy to hear you prattle on Pet." It wasn't the fact he didn't like Marilyn, in fact from what he's seen she was rather decent enough.. It was her mother that got to him, and right now he was angry, and when he sees the eyes of the woman who made his unlife an unliving hell staring so impatiently towards him he was not in the state of mind to handle her mockery or foul tones. Getting to his feet, Spike paced rather angrily along the wall, waiting impatiently for Garnet to enter, he just wanted to go and find Rogue right away, not have little kiddies whinning that they can't understand what he's on about.. he is insane after all..

Re: Emergancy War Room Meeting - ( Xavier's Attack )
Bethany had heard about the meeting in The War Room she just Didn't have to much time to think about it considering the fact most of her time had been spent trying to track down Spike. She knew he was more than capable to look after himself but at the same time he was insane and in grief over Rogue and that didn't sound like a good mixture anyway you put it.
"Haven't you got people to play with?Coz daddy's a lil'busy to hear you prattle on Pet."
She walked in to hear Spike snapping back at Marilyn although she didnt reply for the moment she had a feeling the vampiress probably deserved it after all she did always have that Sarcastic nature in her that sometimes was not the best approach and of all people to use that on at the wrong moment it at least taught her something.
"I just came in to see if I could be of any help........seems like this place is a bit on edge all around so just wanted to see if maybe I could help take that edge off some way?"
The question wasn't really directed at anyone in particular just anyone who needed the Dark Angel's help was welcome to it.

Re: Emergancy War Room Meeting - ( Xavier's Attack )
(OOC: Trying to do a small bridge here... I think Circe is rather likely to try and speed things up)
As no one reacted to Aurora's presence - except for Riley who was almost obliged to and Spike with whom she had entered - the fiery mutant decided simply saying what she thought to be important would be a good decision to make. Again, Garnet realized politeness was not the means to be concentrated on at the time being.
Bethany's entrance, however, distracted the ebony-haired for a moment from what she had intended to state.
"I believe all that we need at the moment is some silence followed by reasonable discussing of recent developments and imminent danger which might be arising soon... or already has"
Although her words were disguised as a reply towards the Dark Angel, it was in fact an attempt to calm the rest of the crowd down and fortunately catch their attention.
A rather helpless look hit Jean Grey, the telepathic X-Man which Circe knew to have a leader's qualities... skills which Aurora thought to lack.
While focusing on the older woman, Aurora put all her worries into words which she whispered hoping the other one's powers would enable her to hear them over the noise.
"It might be... no, is urgent!"

ooc: Sorry I took so long, I've lost my post here twice and it was a little disheartening, sorry for holding everyone up again, and Chris, my MSN froze an instant after you asked me about posting, sorry for disappearing on you...*Is having lots of bad luck*
----------
"Adopted?" He frowned a little confused as he spoke "You are the daughter of a mutant called Magneto, my father looks after you, like he looks after all the people here." The look he gave her showed that he was having trouble understanding what it was she was so upset about, taking a small step back, Jarod glanced at the War Room door, emotional and confusing situations always made him uncomfortable, he wished someone else who understood how to handle emotions better where out here, they could help Mandra better then he could.
Inside the room Jean was turning her attention towards the young fiery mutant who appears to have something on her mind that she needs to share. The older telepath calling everyone in the room to attention, throwing the vampires a glance and then the others who had started whispering amongst themselves.
"Alright, everyone at the table, take a seat and listen to the speaker!" The acting headmistress's voice was stern and commanding once more, since no one seemed to have anything to say she was allowing them to talk and leave, but with Garnet's arrival it seemed the meeting was kicking up once more.
"Please Garnet, continue." Jean took a seat after all the others slowly gathered and sat around, Spike dropped in a spare seat beside Bethany, his behaviour cattching Jean's attention and only futher worrying her.. He had seemed to pleasent and happy for so long, now suddenly he was back to his old self, Rogue had been so taken with him, how was she handling this? Where was she.. normally she was at Spike's side when he was upset, he didn't look well either, due to not feeding he appeared even paler than normal. Taking her eyes of his fidgeting form, Jean tried to focus her eyes on Garnet.. everything seemed to be falling apart, and she wasn't sure what was causing it or how to mend the damage.

Re: Emergancy War Room Meeting - ( Xavier's Attack )
Mandi tried to answer Jarod but the illusion aound her thickened to where she couldn't think very well... Not enough to remember what was real and what was not. She felt like she was being driven crazy slowly. Mandra ran her fingers through her hair in a stressed out fashion and bit her lower lip, not knowing what to do. She was even more confused that she ever was before.
" You know what tah do, chere...." Le Beau's voice said almost as if in her mind and echoing all around her.
" No... No I don't know what to do!" She stated quickly, her voice mirroring her confusion.
" They yo enemy..... So it simple enough, Mandi...." He paused in his speech as the image of Jarod walked up next to him.
" It's simple enough.... Kill.... Kill them all... Leave no survivors... You can do it easily enough....." It was Jarod's mouth moving but LeBeau's voice that was heard.
Mandra was silent as she fought against the illusion but then.... Her expression became almost too calm as she gave in. Her eye-lids became half closed as she dropped her hands slowly and as currents of electricity began flowing over her body. Her hair flowed slightly from an unseen wind. It was as if she were a mere puppet really...
" Kill...them...all...." She whispered out as she stepped into the meeting room.
Her eyes and symbol suddenly lit up brightly as she shot her hand out towards the first person in front of her and as a bold of electricity leapt out from her hand. In the very back of her mind, she lay curled up and unknowing of what was going on.
In the very instant Mandra's hand was raised, a memory popped up in the fiery mutant's mind and took control over her. More than half a year ago, Aran and Garnet had had days and days of excessive training, trying to prepare for every possible kind of threat. The Danger Room's computer brain was effortlessly able to simulate a large variety of probable and rather strange ways of being attacked most of which were based on actual experiences the X-Men had made. A sub-program had made sure whatever came was almost impossible to be predicted and although Circe as one of the creators had been able to see through it every now and then, they had to be prepared for anything.
Scenario 143b was a modificated version of Cyclops' optic blast, a similar beam of energy erupting from a fictive enemy's hand. At first, Aurora and her friend had had troubles finding a method against it since energy concentrated in a relatively thin ray is something difficult to be blocked or even deflected. However, out of pure coincident they had finally realized a beam with a similar quality was effective enough which led to hours of training their aim with that special program. Tiring and exhausting? Definately, but also rather useful as it became clear over six months later in a real situation.
"Freeze!"
There it was again, the commando tone in the material girl's voice which - at least in the seconds that were relevant - hardly anyone would dare not to obey. While shouting the word, Aurora jumped up and the world's spinning slowed down as it often does in situations when the normal speed of thinking is just not enough. Like in slow motion, the fiery mutant could see crackling electricity concentrate at Mandra's hand and form a ball of lightning which soon would become a bolt hurting Riley immensly... or even killing him.
No matter how the personal attitude, this was nothing Circe would allow if she could prevent it.
A delicate hand rose, the index finger pointing at the very center of this future lightning's source, the ball of energy and focusing as much of her gift as she could dare, the ebony-haired girl released a beam of several tenthousand degrees directly aiming at the bolt which then had left Mandra's hand.
A few inches before the possessed girl's attack hit its target, the beams met but while Aurora's heatblast vanished, nullified by the pure electric energy, the bolt was just deflected. Small hair on Circe's skin erected as only a hand's breadth to her left the attack rushed by hitting one of the tactical computers behind her with destructive force. The split of a second later, the lights went out. Short circuit.
The arisen darkness was then driven away by a red glow radiating from the fire-elemental who looked - frankly said - rather pissed, both of which gave her an even demonic appearance.
"What do you think you're doing?!"
, she yelled which was as untypical for the usually rather balanced GSF member as the usage of abbreviations. Aurora had never met the other elemental before and thus knowing nothing about her, the fiery beauty thought the attack to be a very dumb way of trying to catch everyone's attention as the scene in front of the War Room could possibly have been as well.
Of course, Garnet also considered a possession of some kind, but no matter what, anger was definately the right way to react.
It was just then that it occured to her that Mandra still was a threat. With a glance, Aurora made a web of fire appear around the other, thus caging her until one of the higher-ranking mutants told her to revoke the flames. There were more important things to be dealt with!
Whirling around, Circe quickly checked on the destroyed panels. "Hopeless"
, she muttered gritting her teeth in frustration. It took only a few moments, however, to at least get the artificial lights on again.
Turning back again, Aurora frowned lightly throwing - once again - a questioning look at Jean, the major part of her fury having disappeared as quick as it had come leaving her in a state of uncertainty.
"Shall I give it a second try?"
This meeting was certainly not as she had imagined it to be but then again, from the outside it's always easy to make up ideal images. Being a part of reality is what shows the sometimes slightly disappointing truth.
"Everybody deserves a second chance. Past mistakes must not be forgotten... yet forgiveness is an option that should be taken into consideration.
If there is someone who knows how much a person can change it is I."
Re: Emergancy War Room Meeting - ( Xavier's Attack )"Freeze!"
Everything for Riley, unlike with Aruora, seemed to speed up, there was one moment when he was about to reply to Sean, and then another where Garnet's yell caused Riley to pull his attentions away from the young boy and attempt to turn it over towards Garnet, only the sudden burst of powers before him dazzled his startled eyes as the burst of both fire and electricity practically blinded him at such a close distance. But the jerking motion of his body pulling away so violently that it was lucky his strength easily pushed the chair a little away from the table so when his body instinctivly curled forward as his hands grabbed at the front of his head. His implant, that is easily activated by electric charges or currents that his body is exposed to, send unbearable pain coursing through both his head and every nerve in his body being stimulated with the overwhelming sense of pain.
There was so much happening around him, the computer system partly exploding from the impact of Mandra's deflected attack, the lights flickering out, people moving away in panic of being harmed by Mandra. But nothing meant anything to the ex-agent of the initiative since his own pain was too overpowering to even notice anything outside his own pain.
"What do you think you're doing?!"
Slowly, as the chip had deactivated after but a few seconds, the pain had lingered, forcing Riley to take a few long moment to recover, his hands pulling away from his face slightly as he felt moisture on his palms. The sight of blood didn't even register on his mind, like all other times with Catherine, who was the only one aware of his minds trouble to register the sight of blood. When he had first arrived here and his old implant was broken, sending agonising bursts of pain often into his body, he had gotten blood noses from burst blood vessels often at least once or twice a day, which had been the reason if Cat had not allowed them to remove the broken implant he would have soon died from the constent abuse on his brain and body.
With his attention on the palm of his hands as a light stream of blood weeped from his nose, his eyes blinking a little as the lights flickered back on and revealed more clearly the red smear slowly pooling in his hands.
"Shall I give it a second try?"
He felt so weak and dizzy, his hazel eyes staring up a little to see Mandra, was she an agent of the initiative sent to recapture him? He became all paranoid suddenly as he thought of her trying to take him away from Catherine, a selling fear inside him growing as he struggled to his feet. Being 6"2 meant he towered over most of his comrades, both his hight and strength where a great tool of intimidation, even if he didn't want it to be, Catherine often felt intimidated by her boyfriends power. His body stepped a little behind Garnet, more of swayed off to the side when he began to slowly lose his balance but it was such a smooth motion it would have been near impossible for others to have noticed his dizzy spell.
Focusing more of his breathing, not paying any attention to the others, his eyes staring down rather unsurely at his hands, still trying to figure out what exactly was on his hands. Normally someone would say 'you're bleeding' and he'd figure it out that he needs to tend to his bleeding nose, but it had been so long since his implant went off so strongly to cause his nose to bleed, and he was used to having Catherine around him now when he was hurt and it wasn't fair that she was out with a friend and not with him when he needed her. Only she could understand what he wasn't able to understand the sight of blood due to his initiative training and she could help him instead of him standing there as if he's never seen blood before.
Still out of breath as Jean shook her head in responce to Garnet attacking the girl again, she was confined enough to be of no more threat.. for what it appeared anyway, but Jean still looked angry that someone had attacked another mutant in her care. Of course, only Cat, Dawn, plus Connor knew Riley was human and not possessing a mutant gene, Connor knew because he couldn't sense any powers from Riley like he could pick up the powers of other mutants. When Jarod entered the War Room he seemed a little taken by everything that was going on, but Riley wasn't sure what to think, Jarod had helped him a little when Riley went off to find Catherine in Washington, but before he was talking with that woman who attacked him, out of all the people in this room she had chosen him, it was simply a coincidence, but Riley knew Jarod had a connection with Cole so now he was paranoid over whether Mandra was working for the initiative and Jarod was giving her orders or something. Of course for once he wasn't attacked because he was a run away agent, for the first time in his life he was attacked simply because he was in the wrong place at the wrong time..
Riley(about Catherine): She's my desert rose, a wondrous soul brought up in a harsh environment
