Entrance-WhereDoes One Belong if he Doesn't Belong Anywhere?
SPIKE
The large manor of the vampires rested in what was once a large park in the city, however Angelus had this place built here to give them privacy, most of the trees cleared in the process. The blonde vampire almost collapsed against the dark wooden door that was the entrance to his home, his right hand wrapped around the cold golden handle.

This was the center of his world, this was all he's known for the past 7 years, and here...in this dark building...his mind had been stolen from him. At first it wasn't really bad, because Spike could still kill, only he started to realize he was growing guilty over hurting certain humans...girls, children...innocent..

Angelus always thought if he hurt Spike just enough, Spike's old murderous self would return, but in an attempt to fool his sires, Spike began hurting people that he thought where bad, it didn't hurt as much when he thought they where bad.

But then...just a few months ago, when the Initiative captured him, when it stopped him from even the most basic of attacks against humans...that's when the pain really began.

It was because of the chip, because Angelus was ashamed that someone with so much power as Spike had been given, someone who was part of Angelus's family...no longer was able to hunt and kill. And to make matters worse, Spike resisted the urge to hurt, the more he was hurt, the more he was determined not to put others threw such pain.

'What are you Spike?'...He couldn't answer that...could anyone? Could anyone tell him what he was? He wasn't human, but he wasn't a vampire, he couldn't be a real vampire, not any more. He was nothing, he was simply..

'We won't waste Meds on an Animal'....He was simply an animal...that's all, he was an animal, a wild, mindless, inhuman...lost and hurt animal.

He rested his head against the door, he felt so alone, this was his home for so long and he felt as if he didn't belong here, but if he didn't belong here...where did he belong? This was his home...his room was on the third floor along with Willow's, he knew every hallway and every inch of every floor..

He could hear someone...someone coming, he had to get inside, and with a simple twist of the handle the door opened, the first thing that comes to Spike's mind are the weapons Angelus has displayed on the wall.....he could smell the faint blood still on them. But the vampire paid no attention to them, making his way to the sofa in the center of the room and slumping himself down onto it.

He looked up at the ceiling, the household servants must have taken the chance while Angelus was away to turn on all the lights. Angelus was perfectly content walking around the manor in complete cover of darkness, the light hurt his eyes and he'd punish any who dared use lights while he was in the building.

He was tired...his eyes hurt, he hid his face, turning his body slightly to face the back of the red couch, he could feel the trickle of blood seeping from his wound and running down across his chest. But he didn't care, he didn't care any more, he was in too much pain to care, he just....he wanted to stop everything...stop the pain.

Spike:"....they always say live and let live, let him die, when the world you live in makes you give in and cry, say live and let die. Let die, let me die, why won't they let me die?"

Shifting his position, he laid back down, facing the ceiling once again, his chest quickly rising and falling as if still breathing in a panicked state. But his breathing slowed, his lips starting to move, mumbling something, his words barely a whisper at first since it hurt to talk.

Spike:"Shoot'im, stab'im, punch an' kick'im, burn an' poke'him, cage, lock away, cut an' scream at'im.."

He gave a chuckle, not of humour, but filled with pain, the tears swelling up again before he was able to force them away. Placing his right hand over his bleeding wound, Spike simply stared up at the ceiling as he continued mumbling to himself.

Spike:"But...but end it, end the pain, tha's bad, tha's so bad...not allowed t'end it, not allow t'rest, jus' wonna rest, rest in peace....please....please lemme rest, lemme rest in peace..."

ROGUE
"...and then?"

A soft voice sounded from the entrance - a little rough it was, years of living a difficult life could be heard in it easily, yet it was warm and full of understanding.
Slowly, Rogue approached the lying vampire; crouching down in front of the sofa, her eyes wandered over his body examining the spot where Catherine's bullet had hit him.

"What will it help to rest?" The question was nothing else but rhetorical. Rogue didn't expect him to answer.

Softly, she touched his cheek but not for long. Soon, her hand wandered down the neck to his chest. Leaning forward, her mouth approached the wound.

"No naughty thoughts, sugah" the southern belle whispered placing her lips right on his flash. Quickly in order not to drain to much energy from him which he needed to recover, Rogue sucked the bullet out of his flesh and spitted it - together which a mouthful of blood - on the floor.

"Hope ya got some good cleanin' woman or someone's gotta buy a new carpet"
A grin crossed her features but soon, concern took its place.

"How d'you feel? Bodywise, ah mean. Mentally... ah know a whole bunch o'psychatrists would have their bloody pleasure with ya"

*Bloody pleasure?* she thought frowning and smiling slightly at the same time. *Seems like somethin' got stuck*

"but we're all insane in our very special way"

SPIKE
"...and then?"

The only reply she got from him was his eyes slowly closing, listening to her approaching him from the doorway, her form slowly crouching by the sofa where he lay.

"What will it help to rest?"

The tender touch of her gloved fingers against his cheek, the slow feel of them tracing down his neck and across his chest, he couldn't help but open his eyes and look at her. And as he realizes she's leaning forward, her lips, ready to touch him, his mind partially distracted by the soft whisper that came from her.

"No naughty thoughts, sugah"

With a scoff at her words and a light chuckle as he shook his heads, the vampire mumbled under his breathe.

Spike:"Oh, right luv, do this to a guy an expect him not to feel a thing-"

But he stopped mid sentence, not from the pain of the bullet, she hadn't gotten that far yet, simply by her pressing her lips against his wounded chest. But before anything could happen, before his mind could react to her warm lips on his cool chest, the sudden burst of pain that struck him cause the vampire to tightly shut his eyes and growl painfully.

Opening his eyes just in time to catch Rogue spitting both bullet and blood to the floor, her couldn't help but show a look of guilt across his face.

"Hope ya got some good cleanin' woman or someone's gotta buy a new carpet"

The guilt was quickly replaced with another chuckle at her words as he tried to sit up, resulting in more pain hitting him and him instead giving up and laying down for the moment as she talked.

"How d'you feel? Bodywise, ah mean. Mentally... ah know a whole bunch o'psychatrists would have their bloody pleasure with ya"

This time, he did manage to sit up properly, a look of amusement across his face as he listened to the southern belle.

"but we're all insane in our very special way"

Spike:"Nice to know I'm not alone then, as for how I'm feeling, how do you think I'm feelin'? Bein' a half naked guy who just got a bullet sucked outta'im, I say 'it could have been worse'."

Spike's eyes seemed to linger on her face for a moment before looking down to the ground.

Spike:"You uh.."

He began before slowly pointing to his lips with his right hand and then giving a nod of his head towards her as he looked at her lips.

Spike:"Uh...on your.."

For a vampire, this was strangely uncomfortable as he looked away with a slight frown, it's just blood...just blood....his blood...on her lips...

He looked back at her, he'd reach out and wipe it away, but his fingers had blood on them as well, and his other hand hurt to much right now, though the pain should die down in a minute.

He smiled faintly, leaning forward towards her, his voice a low soft whisper as his hazel eyes looked from her own green eyes to her red strained lips.

Spike:" 'No naughty thoughts', luv."

He quoted her from before as he tenderly pressed his lips against hers, he was ready to pull away, he tried to pull away....he didn't appear to be pulling away..

Instead the kiss seemed to deepen, become more passionate, but unlike when they where in the War Room...no memories flowed into Rogue's mind. None of Spike's personality, not even his strength, nothing, not a single thing invaded her mind or body...only Spike's lips.

The magic that protects the vampires inside their own homes dispels the use of all mutant powers, as well as other magic.

But the shuffle of nearby feet finally gave Spike the strength to pull away, quickly covering his mouth with the back of his right hand as a voice called out weakly.

Bee-Bee:"S-Sir?"

The young girl had chestnut wavy hair that flowed to her lower back, she seemed extremely nervous as she looked about.

Spike:" 'Ello B."

He mumbled from behind his hand as he stood, quickly dropping his hands to his side as she looked at his wound.

Bee-Bee:"Y-You're hurt, w-we should....b-before the Master-"

Spike's hand motioned towards Rogue as he continued to look at the servant girl, interrupting her as she talked.

Spike:"Double B, this is Rogue, Rogue, this is B...uh..Bee-Bee."

With an uncomfortable curtsy the girl lowered her head to avoid looking at either of them.

Bee-Bee:"My pardons.."

Spike frowned slightly as he looked at her, but she hurried over to the desk that was by the stairs, quickly going back to her duty as door watcher and receptionist.

Although she walked past him, Spike's continued looking ahead, his head tilting slightly to the side as he placed his left hand fingers against his lips, staring at one of the weapons on the walls. Glancing up at the ceiling, looking as if he had just made a very important decision, Spike hurried towards the wall, reaching up and grabbing a long handled axe. The dark wooden handle was polished but the sharp head of the axe was chipped and old, but also very sharp.

Turning about without even looking at the weapon, he hurried towards the stairs, the girl - thinking he was moving towards her - whimpered and covered her head. He paused after climbing a few of the stairs, leaning on the rail and looking down at her as she looked up, puzzlement shown in her face.

Spike:"Have I ever hurt you B?"

She shook her head slightly as she still worriedly looked at the weapon in his hand.

Spike:"...Then why would I start now for no reason?"

Bee-Bee:"Why does the Master hurt you for no reason? You're vampires...S-Sir..."

A thoughtful look crossed the blonde vampires face for a moment before he looked back up at the top of the stairs, then down at the girl again.

Spike:"There was a reason for'im though..."

With that, he hurried up the stairs, ignoring the pain in his shoulder as the girl called out in a panic.

Bee-Bee:"Wh-What are you doing?"

Spike:"Redecoratin'!"

He called back, but the girls’ warnings of punishment went ignored, just before he disappears from sight, he looked back down at Rogue.

Spike:"...Also gotta grab something to wear, gonna come?"

Flashing her another grin as he made his way up to the third floor, the vampire was ready to attempt to do something that he has dreamed - though terribly feared as well - about doing for many years now.

TBC- Minds aren't the only things that Shatter

ROGUE
"Sorry..." Rogue's whisper had sounded unheard and obviously, Spike didn't pay that much attention to his wound anymore, so she didn't repeat it.

The weird gestures and nods he was giving later made Rogue tilt her head slightly which came in handy as he kissed her again.
Surprise widened her eyes as nothing happened. Well, nothing wasn't right. Without thinking about what she was doing, the southern belle replied to his passion but before anything more could happen, he withdrew.

"Hi" Rogue said with a smile at the unknown girl, anything but embarrassed. She had reached an age in which you don't feel guilty for kissing someone anymore.

As Spike went to "redecorate", the mutant's gaze followed him.

Spike:"...Also gotta grab something to wear, gonna come?"

*Wanna strip for me or what?* Rogue thought with a dirty grin but instead of voicing it aloud, she simply said
"yep" and went after him, her eyes suspiciously keeping on wandering down his back and stopping right beneath it.

TBC: with Spike again... feel like some puppy
