Episode 6: Deal
Well, it's finally here. Didn't I say somewhere LAST weekend? Oh well, we got it done and it's okay if you like that sort of thing? I don't know what I'm talking about...didn't get much sleep this week. Hopefully either Harmony or I proofed the ep...wait, she's out of town. Uh oh. Anyway, check out the episode and let us know what you thought. It's all about how people deal with the stuff that comes up in life. Actually, that makes it sound deep and profound...which is definitely is not. Just don't be too shocked by how people deal and...be prepared for Scout antics (with Jake and Dex as accomplices...oh, make that Jacqueline and Dexter). Okay...enjoy.

I really liked what you wrote about Mark and Meagan, especailly what you wrote in the end, about Meagan calling him.
And the cigarette scenes were good and when Jake kind of found out.
Reading about Scout and what he did to get "closure" was fun.
And i really liked the scene when everyone listened to the song and then they saw Finn proposing to Johanna.
And finally Will and Gwen are together. That was good.

Episode 6: Deal
I loved the episode it was really great. I love where the storyline is going. i love the mark and meagan storyline, and the jake and ham and dexter as always. all of the storylines are great. keep up the great work. can't wait til the next episode

i thought that the episode was cool. i was sad though that hammy smokes because i am kinda against the whole smoking-alchol-drug thing. sorry. i wish 'jacqueline' and dexter got some time alone. also it kinda krushed me to see dexter see 'jacqueline' and hammy together because he likes 'jacqueline'. other than that,...

i thought it was overall a really great episode. i loved the story line and the scheme with Jake, Dexter, and, Scout spying on Jill's date. Plus, thank god Will got some!

Everythingin this ep was fabulous! This may be the very best ep Estee and Harm have ever written.
I know this might sound weird, but I kinda liked that Ham smoked. I mean, yes, I know that smoking is bad, blah blah friggin blah---but if you see what the guy has to go through on a daily basis (and what he went through during the summer session), I'm surprised he didn't actually do something more drastic like.............something more drastic. Although it may seem like having one cig every 2 months I believe that eventually he will get hooked. Hopefully Jake can talk him out of it. Speaking of Jake, I like how she didn't freak out over his smoking. She understood without him having to tell her...it's like she knows him better than he knows himself---which is a good thing since he probably knows her better than she knows herself.
Dexter's comment about Austin Powers made me laugh SO hard. So...let me get this straight, Scout is Austin...Jake is his sexy-girl-sidekick du jour...Dex is that brit guy who gives Austin all those cool nifty toys...and Jill, of course, is the evil FemmeBot, right?
Speaking of Dexter...I like that he realized just HOW in love Jake and Ham are...even though he's still very much in the dark. I hope that one day he finds out about them because it's not fair to him at all.
Gwen and Will! Gwen and Will! Gwen and Will! That was so totally AWESOME!!! What do Gwen and Will shippers call themselves? (you know, like how Jake and Ham shippers call themselves the JaHammers...) Please add me to their list as an avid shipper...
Mark and Meagan watching One Fine Day...talk about ironic? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!! Made me totally ROTFLMAOPIMP!!! (wow, haven't typed that in a while! I should really try to go back to FF one of these days, huh?)
Finn and Johanna...how you guys have touched my heart. It was SO beautiful! Wow! If I were watching this on TV, I would have been crouched in front of the TV ready to jump up to rejoice when she said yes!!! (that's what I did when Ham kissed Jake in her room in CinderBella)

I'm all about making this stuff up. Combining their names doesn't really envoke anything to great...ya think? Harmony suggested bookworms. I said what about study nazis, but...then you'd be a nazi. Hmm, that's not good. Thought chloe and clark 'shippers, Gwen and Will 'shippers could be editors. Someone have any better/good ideas?

I have to say that this episode was one of the best episode that Estee and Harmoney wrote..i'm not saying that all of their episodes are not great cause they really are but this one was on the top with the other BEST episodes..i really loved everything about the episode was good...thanks god will and gwen are going!!
Finn and Joanna are engaged that is soo sweet...scout, jake and dexter were funny!! i couldn't keep myslef from laughing

So I loved the episode (but you guys know that is automatic from me). However, I must say that I totally dug the whole smoking thing. Don't get me wrong, not saying that smoking is something you should go and start doing tomorrow or that it is suddenly good for your health, but I think it really fit well with the whole theme of the episode--dealing with your issues. And yeah, smoking a cigarette once every couple of months isn't exactly good, but it's not exactly "bad." All right, so maybe this will start a whole big argument or whatnot, but I thought it was just really relevant and on the whole, it only strengthened the whole message/theme/story that was being put forth. So hats off to the Ham smoking a cigarette scene. It was done really well and tastefully.

Really good episode guys. Good exploration of the characters dealing with past events and looking for ways to move forward in their lives.
Poor Scout, he just can't get his act togehter, can he. And Jill was really great with her 'I'm trying to get over my ex but can't quite deal with dating someone else...yet' attitude. Not quite sure how Dexter can remain so clueless, but he's still fum and, YAY! Will and Gwen!! As to Hammy and his smoking; I know some people have issues with it and as a non-smoker myself I really can't see why anyone would want to take it up, but it could be worse. People deal with stress in different ways and For Ham it's the occasional puff on a cigarette. Look at it this way, at least he's not raiding his parents liquor cabinet or popping valium or using hard drugs. There are worse things in life than a once-in-a-blue-moon cigarette.
And I'm glad I'm not the only one who doesn't think that Ham smoking is bad.

this was another great episode!! i loved it, just the way it showed how people deal with situations in different ways ... which was the whole point of the episode, i know!! i really liked how dexter saw ham and jake together, i loved that part! plus who can argue with gwen and will!!! i think you did a great job in making gwen explain why, at first, she was reluctant to go out with will, i thought that part was really well written .... then the cut to all the others listening on the spy gear, gotta love it!!!
what a great fic, it definetly goes down as one of my favorites of ya'lls. Somehow, after all of your episodes, you have the reader feeling like they've gained some unknown knowledge about life in general. When its all done, you can't help but smile knowing that everything's going to alright after reding them. In a way, the episodes are inspirations within themselves. Anyway...... great job ya'll, can't wait for the next episode.

episode six was good I have to say and one of the things I really liked about is how Gwen finally admitted her feelings for Will, those two if you ask me are a well matched couple :). I also liked the part where Jill was looking for her Steve Maddens and Gwen said they looked like the barstard child of bolling alley shoes and orthopeadic shoes :).
But what about Scout and Bella, after reading the last few episodes that they are drifting back towards each other? Which is fine by me since i've always been B/S fan since the start of "Young Americans" back 1999.

Great job you guys. I too cracked up when Mark and Meaghan were watching One Fine Day. Too funny!
And while I'm usually anti-smoking, I really liked how you portrayed Hamilton's smoking as a reaction to his circumstances and the things life threw at him. I could totally see that as something his character would do, so way to go. And I thought Jake's reaction was equally appropriate, and sweetly showed how well she knows him.
And like Eliza wrote, "Look at it this way, at least he's not raiding his parents liquor cabinet or popping valium or using hard drugs." ... wait, you mean, at least he's not his character from Rules of Attraction?

Great episode! I love the kind where they're all doing vaguely normal things (minus Scout spying on Jill o/c!), and you just end up with great charcter dynamics, and nice little things. u probably dont know wot I'm going on about! I mean, like I loved the bit where Jake pulled Ham's cigarettes out of his pocket, and it was like-they knew each other so well, with this cute dialogue. And wen Dexter saw them and realised just how in love they really are!
Dexter, btw, poor thing, really needs to find out!! Altho he's so adorable being so dappy, it's not fair on him, poor guy!
Like the idea of Bella and Ham writing songs 2getha 2! Basically loved the whole thing! Thanx! Keep going!

It made me laugh so much.
I liked the J&H scenes, as usual, I would have liked even more of them...but it was worth it for the entire spying scenes, so funny.

Loved the ep
Deal was a great ep I think. I really love how you guys have such a grasp on the characters. I love reading each episode. Jake and Scout and Dex spying on Jill's date was amusing, though I do feel for poor Scout. I am glad that he and Jill seem to have their closure though. What about Scout and Bella will they drift back together hmmm? OR will he get back with Jill I am a shipper of both aren't i terrible?
Hamilton smoking was very understandable poor guy. I am so glad he and Jake are so much in love though, its refreshing to see that they are the constant couple even when everything else seems to be falling apart. ITs funny that Dex is so clueless though. And its about time Will and Gwen got together. I am going to read the next ep to see what happens next
