In the commotion of the take over Jess Mariano, his half-brother Alexander Walker and other students Kaitlyn Davies and Armaan elude captivity and escape the premises. The question then is of course where can they escape to?
For Kaitlyn, who spent a few years on the streets of the Big Apple and knows her way around New York is the natural choice. It was also the onetime home of streetsmart Jess. The foursome make their way to New York, hoping to keep under the radar until things are safe again for them.
For Jess this escape doubles as a chance to get to know a half-brother he previously didn't realise existed.
At somepoint during the New York adventure circumstances lead to a separation between parties and the brothers are thrown in one direction while Armaan and Kaitlyn are thrust in another.

I think we've about covered it.
But ill just add what im kinda thinking in terms of character development for my guys.
Armaan - Having been attacked by the initiavte before the actual assault on the school, the Sand Mutant will find New York to be a large, unfamiliar and dangerous place. Being mostly shy and akward, the Afghan will need to let loose and take more command with regards to where his life is heading, and how he deals with his own ideals and morals.
Alexander - He hadnt expected to be sucked into the middle of a mutant hunt, but he has a responsibility towards his brother, and holds a certain sense of mutant pride as well. He feels obligated to help as much as he can, and will probably be the main soruce of help in the initial parts of the esacpe- especially with regards to helping them find places to potentially hide and offering them shelter for a few nights. He is probably the one most familiar with New York City, and his offensive mutant powers will surely add some strength into the group.
Re: Escape to New York
Well Jess doesn't really know either one and he's not a sharey type so it's probably more likely that they'll be at the mansion. Possibly even complete randomness, they just all happen to be in the same place when the attack takes place and they manage to team up to get past one or two (a small number) of attackers through combined powers then they get out together and decide they might as well stick together?
