Re: Falls Dam Work Weekends
Janet, could you confirm the trailer will be available that Saturday, the 9th? I may haul it behind Big Orange and if we can get some fence posts/rails we can do fence repair along with trail cleanup?
One other question...would it be hard/too much trouble to unlock the gate at the end of Falls Dam so we could bring the pickups directly in/out of there instead of thru Wolfs Den trail? If too much of a problem then we can...but would be nice.

I'm not Janet but I can let you know that it will be available... You guys are the only ones with something scheduled that weekend to the best of my knowledge... BTW, heres a hint, leave the gate down while towing full of fence... If the gate drags it won't hurt it...

Call ahead to make sure there is plenty left by the trailer... After our last weekend there is only about 100 ft. left there... (Just a heads up...)

The only way this can be done is if Janet or a Ranger is with you... The gates have to be locked back as you go through them...
If you guys need anything feel free to ask... I will try to help in any way possible... Scott Fields is also close by (local to Uwharrie) in case you need something...
Re: no cost camping?
If you mean reserve spots for the work weekend then i think you have to talk to Janet about that. If you reserve a spot through ReserveUSA then I think you will have to pay for it. Best bet is to wait for Janet (uwharriehost) to see this or post a similar ? in the general questions section.
Re: no cost camping?
I will need to know how many people that are planning on camping and I will see how many site I can make available for the work weekend.
Re: no cost camping?
Janet,
There you are . . . I was wondering if you were ever gonna drop in and say hello.
Did you get my emails with the roster for the last cleanup and the information for the adoption process?
Let me know if you need anything else in regards to us adopting the trail other than getting the forms from Leigh.
Also, we will probably have between 10-15 trucks coming down. We will probably need at least 5-10 camp sites . . .maybe more depending on who coming. We will try and get a head count this week.
Re: no cost camping?
As of right now B & C are available. But it is to soon to tell what will be open. I will let everyone know as soon as know something. look for a Reply on Aug. 6,2003.
Janet,
Most of our folks prefer to stay in the ACG because of the facilities there. We will just pay to camp there.
If anyone is interested in the group camp thing . .. we'll let you know as best we can as to how many.
We will probably need about 10 of ACG campsites and I know a few that have already reserved theirs so maybe not that many. At least as many as we had last time and then some.
