Family Birthday Announcements
I thought it would be nice to start a thread on our family's special birthday's. When the day comes along and you want to share it with us all, feel free to add it to this post.
Today is my daughter's 7th birthday. She woke up this morning with the biggest grin, and was so excited. We are having a party tomorrow with her little friends from school then Sunday the family is coming over to celebrate!! Wooohoooooooo.

Thanks Meryena. Today is the children's birthday party. All her little friends from school at the bowling alley and pizzeria. Anyone got a bottle of aspirin they can give me??

I feel for ya! For my son's 9th birthday, we took him and his boy scout troop (eleven 9 year old boys) to the zoo for a whole day. The company I worked for at the time offered tickets to local attractions at very reduced prices. Well, three scraped knees, a knicked chin, a slight bloody nose and one fight later, my husband and I delivered them all home safely.
I walked in the door that evening, asked my husband to make me a drink and said "if I ever have another brilliant idea like that again - shoot me".

OH NO Meryena!!!! Ok I can't imagine that. Today for only two hours was enough for me! Of course they were all pretty good until the last 15 minutes of the party. Samantha was opening her last few gifts and the parents arrived early. So there are the parents standing watching and the children decided to go wild! Yes running up and down the bowling lanes, Literally throwing cake at one another. One of the gifts had that bubble wrap with it, the big bubbles, the two boys had it on the table and were POUNDING them with their fists just to hear them pop. Now no word of a lie this is what broke out within minutes. We finally got the children coralled back to the table using the loot bags as bribery!!
OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH MERY PASS ME THE VALIUM!

Spry darling, you don't have to convince me, I believe every word! It's alwasys been amazing to me how quickly things can go awry when it comes to kids behaving. Surely, the other parents stepped in to help with crowd control. Sounds like your daughter had a great time and wonderful birthday, so even though you're drained and exhausted, that look of happiness on her face made it all worth it.
I think act of bravery made Spry Queen for the Day.

awwwwwwww Thanks Mery!!! You are right it was worth it to see Samantha very happy.
Jenn you are sooooooooooo right. We'll be sittin back enjoying the quiet atomosphere of our homes, doing what we want when we want. And there will be Jenn, dealing with cake throwing, wild parties with little darlings!! heheheh. And we will sit back and just chuckle!

Who's birthday? I was meaning that I couldn't wait for the day that my kids are all grown up and you are just starting to deal with birthday parties and such.
My son just had his 15th birthday this month. That was easy - make sure the boys had lots of food and control over the playstation. They kept themselves entertained.
My oldest daughter will turn 12 in September. I know she will want to have a party/sleepover. I will do the same thing as I did for my son.
My youngest does not turn 6 until December (27th). I have thought about having a party at some other time during the year. I will only attempt a two hour shindig for that... maybe have the party at the movie theater or something. They do that sort of thing. I should check that out soon.
I only have BC powders and most people dont like to take them but they work wonders LOL
