Favourite Contemporary Music?
I was just curious. :)

I'm heavily into The Stereophonics at the moment - I love how rock n roll their latest album is. :) I've also been finding time for Rob Dougan lately, too . . . Although I never thought I'd ever find myself saying that. :P He wrote most of the music for the Matrix films, a kind of mix of dance and classical music. I don't know what it is, but it just haunts me right now! :eek

What about you? Who are your favourite contemporary artists at the moment? And if you don't have any, why not?! :lol

hmm. not really into any of the charting stuff, but lover of all the stuff aquarian nation is bringing out. good job really, or i wouldn't have got into chris or squeeze!!

but the other artists on there are all really good, especially dorie jackson, john and wayne and stephen harris (aka kid chaos, haggis stephen)

was really glad when this label started up, cos i'd got in a bit of a timewarp. listening to lots of eighties stuff, and ignoring anything current, so it's got me back into the music scene

like 50 cent and alex parks, can't stand the darkness, like some of the dance stuff that's around, but as i only hear it in pubs and clubs, i've no idea who's done it!

anyway, that's my contribution for now :D

I'm really ashamed to say that I've really been enjoying my daughter's Justin Timberlake album. Most of the time I just listen to classic soul and R & B though. Although perhaps I should opt for The Neptunes.......

I too enjoyed Justin's album- very sexy sounding. I also like listening to The Sugababes, Mis-Teeq and Pink (haven't got the album, but I reckon it will be good).

I've been following Ocean Colour Scene to fill the gap. I know they're a durge compared to Squeeze but they do have a good spirit and rapport with their fans (but without the humour!) but it's positive nonetheless, which is what I look for more than anything. Their recent album North Atlantic Drift was musically excellent - the lack of publicity it got just made me like them even more for it!
