First Official X-treme Session in the Danger Room.
It wasn’t rare for Connor and Madison to be the first to arrive at the Danger Room once a training session had been called, and today wasn’t any different... well... aside from the fact that unlike the usual strict leader was not suited up like the rules suggested for them all to be. Instead he just changed into a singlet and kept on his jeans and sneakers, ignoring the look he was sure Madison had given him when he emerged from the boy’s locker room and proceeded to set up the artificial environment. The white sleeveless top was usually worn when he was here on personal time, although this was a new one, an obvious fact for anyone who knew him because the material was free of any bloodstains, tears or misplaced claw marks.
The worse of it was when he offered Frostbite a smile as she entered the Danger Room, Anna seemed to slow suspiciously in her tracks, instantly getting the nervous feeling that Connor might somehow retaliate for her having taken a few pictures of Madison while she was caged. The icy mutant had seen how wild Connor had been when they ‘rescued’ him and she wasn’t as physically strong as either his father or Riley and it had taken both of them to hold Connor for the drive back to the school.
Anna never wore the usual suit, in fact her ‘uniform’ was really the only darker set of clothing she owned, the unusual fabric both had a high resistance to the chill of her body and even helped store the cool aura she had, helping keep her body nice and cool even when exposed to slightly warmer temperatures. Basically her number one weakness is when she is exposed to heat, one of the reasons she had taken such a large disliking towards Garnet, who thoughtlessly used her fiery powers without even considering how weak or sickly it threatened to make Frost who was nearby… also the added fact she was one of Madison’s only ‘friends’. It was a weakness Madison doesn’t always take advantage of, just like Frost doesn’t try and freeze all the liquid in the power-absorbing mutant. There seemed to be unspoken and unagreed rules in their fights, as much as they wanted to beast the other, they wanted a fair enough fight to make it a challenge, rarely taking the cheap win when the prospect of a long, tougher fight was at hand. Besides, if Madison tries to fry Frost, Anna would just try to freeze her, in a sense, they knew those serious attacks could hurt them more then the longer challenging battles, whether this was the reason they followed their unspoken rules or it was for some other reason they wouldn’t admit to anyone, including themselves, no one could be certain.
The last few members of the team appeared, and Connor was determined not to let his thoughts linger on how they had seen him a few days ago, this as now, they knew something had been wrong with him, and if they thought he was going to tolerate sympathy on the matter, or lack of respect, he would prove otherwise.
“Welcome to the first meeting of team X-treme, first of all, Angela, I’m Connor Enright, you’re team leader, this is my sister, Madison Enright, I’m not sure if you’ve met the others, Ben, Anna, Sean, Taylor.” His hand motioned to each member and then rested back down at his side. “Second of all, this is the Danger Room, the rules are simple, only team members are permitted into this area, it is restricted and off-limits to all students of Xavier’s aside from X-men. You are not to discuss anything with the other students regarding any business taking place with any of the X-men, you all have, or will be given a communicator, the colour of the ‘X’ on the communicator usually relates to the main team you have been put on, we are not a main team, we are to help out when the more experienced members are not needed, have your com-badges with you at all times, as we can locate and communicate with you via those small devices.” He goes again, right now, in a few moments, he was going to yet again distance himself from these people by stating out loud the facts that every leader knows deep down.
“I am not going to be like all your other friends, I will not cry on your shoulder and I suggest you do not cry on mine if you expect some cuddling and restoration of a bruised ego or broken heart, I will not tolerate lateness nor will I accept excuses on any failure you perform in the future. Every lesson you learn from in life is usually based on you having failed something, after that you learn from it, you better yourself, and if you do not attempt to learn from your mistakes you will no longer have a place on my team.” He had such a calm and even tone of voice, he could be commenting on the weather, school work or an off-hand comment about something that jumped into his mind, hardly the hard demanding tone most leaders tended to have when giving introductory speeches. “But I will be there when you are in trouble, I will not allow personal differences to endanger the lives of my team members, if you have a dispute, solve it, do not risk the lives of those who are counting on you to be beside them. If you have a problem, do not hesitate to call me, day, night, call me, if any of you are leaving the school for more then two days, be sure to inform me, because I will try and locate you on the 2nd day of you being gone.” Connor would get paranoid if people went missing, after all, how many times have the Enright’s been taken against their will and the X-men be unaware until much later that they were missing?
“You are no longer hiding yourself away from the world that fears and hates us for what we are, you are now running out there and facing it head on, you didn’t choose to be part of the X-men, but you do choose to stay here, every day is a choice, to put the suit on or to pack it away. To help save lives, to help change the fate of the world… to risk your life, to hurt and suffer for the crimes that will be done against us, do not delude yourselves that this is some fantastic movie in which you are the invincible hero, you will bleed, you will risk your lives, people can and will die, maybe you, maybe the person next to you, maybe someone you passed in the hall once or twice, your best friend, your family,” Although Connor had been a little nervous about having an empathy like Sean (not aware that Angela also had empathic abilities since he hasn't yet tried to sense her powers), the Enright’s still managed to keep a tight hold of their emotions, even if Connor’s were slipping just slightly, only Madison would understand how hard it was for Connor to explain about the ones they love risking their lives and dying.
“The X-Men are a family--a group of outcasts brought together in the singular pursuit of one man's dream--the dream of peace. This family has grown through the years, but yet has never changed. It is still a family that will stand at one another's side when in need--be it in battle or in grief. You may hate the life...hate the pain...but, just by looking around you, you should know that this is where you truly belong--that when it is finally your time to go, you would like nothing more than to die exactly as you lived--as a hero--as an X-Man. Maybe you won’t feel that strongly about it right away, but in time you’ll realize how wonderful it is to be exactly what we are, and if this isn’t what you want, then there’s the door, no one will hold it against you if you aren’t willing to join this fight.” It was obvious Connor was offering them a chance to leave, adding a moment later in a slightly louder voice, “And those who want to stay please follow Madison into the center of the room while the training program loads, Angela, you’ll be focusing on combat tactics with me while the others are busy with fighting the holograms.” The new girl gave a sort of blank nod while she was still trying to absorb all the information she had just been told. Sometimes it was hard for the second generation of X-children to realize how strange and fantastic a lifestyle as an X-men could be, since they have grown up in it and know no other way of living.

Re: First Official X-treme Session in the Danger Room.
After placing in her black leather gloves Madison was in her uniform. She didn’t mind having to wear it, liking the leather pants the best. They suited training sessions in the Danger Room so well. Other pants didn’t cling to the body and flapped about when you moved which only caused distractions, leather pants just stuck to you like a second skin and caused no distraction what so ever. Madison didn’t want to have any distractions in the Danger Room, you can’t afford to have them in the real world, so there’s no point in having them in training.
Having got into the Danger Room a few seconds before Connor, she watched him enter and was obviously ignored as she gave her brother an odd look at the way he was dressed. She had gotten changed for the occasion, couldn’t he? However, she wasn’t going to question him, she had already said more than enough before when they found each other in Arisa’s room.
Seeing Frost enter shortly after him her eyes narrowed quickly on her but lightened up as Anna became instantly suspicious on why Connor had smiled at her. Though she hadn’t forgotten about the photos that had been taken of herself caged at the Black Market in Harmony. She had to find that camera before it was too late. The last thing she wanted was pictures of her being pinned up on all of the walls around the institute!
It didn’t take too long for the remaining members of X-Treme to find their way into the Danger Room. Madison was ready to get to their training, but Connor had to go through the rules of the highly advanced training facility. She gave a small sigh of annoyance and seemed to half zone out while her brother spoke, her ears picked up her name being mentioned and she gave a nod as an informal greeting to the newest member of the X-Men before resuming to not listen in. She knew the rules, why did she have to hear them again and she most certainly didn’t care if anyone else did or did not know them.
There was a mention of the communicator devices and that only reminded Madison that she needed to carry hers on her more often. In fact, she had only carried it a small number of times, which wasn’t the best of things as she was on two of the school teams and if one of them wanted to contact her they’d have trouble doing so.
Having gotten bored from not doing anything, Madison began to listen in on Connor’s words properly. What Connor was saying was true, from your failures you learn from them. It was something Madison had learnt from their father when she was young and had lived by that rule ever since. It was the only way she would get stronger and she wouldn’t be half as strong as she if today if she hadn’t listened to the original Wolverine.
As her brother continued to speak, Madison couldn’t help but wonder if some of that was directed towards her. She was often one to have disputes with others. It was almost a hobby of hers. Though she was hardly going to let that get in the way of her on a mission, it would only motivate her, however if the person she didn’t like was in trouble, say Frost for example, she probably wouldn’t want to risk her life just to save her. She would have to be forced to do so, that or Connor tell her to do so.
Madison seemed to zone out once more, she had heard all the talk on being an X-Man before and it was quite boring the first time around so the second time wasn’t going to be anymore exciting.
“And those who want to stay please follow Madison into the center of the room while the training program loads, Angela, you’ll be focusing on combat tactics with me while the others are busy with fighting the holograms.” With her ears picking up her name again, Madison’s attention returned to the Danger Room. About time the fun stuff starts! Straight after Connor had finished speaking she turned her gaze over towards the new girl, hiding a smirk from the look upon her face at everything she had just been told. Then she made her way to the middle of the Danger Room, getting impatient as it seemed the holograms were taking ages to load. Though, just having to wait for things in any situation made Madison impatient.

Re: First Official X-treme Session in the Danger Room.
Taylor and Sean had made their way to the Danger Room together as the Summers’ cousin had been up to see his parents. They had trained together before in the Danger Room, as well as with Ben, but never together in a team based situation; which in a way was the most important way to train as these were the people that you would rely on and that would rely on you in the dangerous situations that they were to and had faced. Sean had chosen to wear his uniform; he had often trained in the leather outfit and it suited him to train in it once again, considering his main powers focused on his eyes and mind his outfit didn’t really have much effect on his powers; but it’s efficient design worked well for Sean when he had to use hand-to-hand combat rather than a quick blast with his visor.
Taylor however had chosen a more casual approach. After their mission to Harmony Taylor had talked to Sean about his uniform; it had been created with metal plates throughout the surface of the clothing so to help channel his electrical powers, however he had only found that it caused a hindrance, quashing his abilities a fair amount, especially compared to just using his skin. Due to this Taylor had come out in a pair of loose trousers made of a lightweight material; similar to that of his martial arts training garment. On top he had just picked up a plain white vest, although to some people it might seem like he was trying to show off, even flash his toned body image so that others would see, but that was Taylor at all. Although he was very hyperactive at points and often over enthusiastic, he had learnt that being a show off had never paid off. His choice of clothing was the best that he had used before when using his electrical powers, his body being only loosely covered meant the electrical current could pass through him and over his skin with little or no resistance.
The pair took their places in the group as Conner began to talk, they both glanced towards Ben, Sean nodding his head slightly, Taylor with his predefined grin. Taylor then noticed Angela and his grin widened a little but also softened as he regarded the young woman. The bright lights beat down on them all and Taylor was able to feel the electrical charge that flowed through the massive room; just like Sean could sense the emotional tension and excitement between the rest of the team members. It was then that Sean noticed Angela, he could sense that she too was able to pull in and feel others emotions, however it seemed that she was stronger in it than he was as his powers seemed to turn a little more to the telekinetic abilities. Sean decided he would have to be emotionally careful around her, even though he often kept a veil of composure over himself underneath his emotions could flare and it was that that he would need to control.
Sean recognized the words that Conner spoke; obviously not word for word, but he had seen his father give such speeches as well as Riley when X-Force met up with new members. It was interesting to him to see how Conner broached the subject of importance and honor of being put on a team and to Sean he did it very well, giving it enough passion to instill in to each and every listener. Taylor however didn’t seem to be taking quite so much interest; when Taylor was waiting to do something his impatience could often come through and now it was obvious as he tried t stop himself shuffling around even though he was just itching to get out their and give this training session a go. He was also a little excited to see Madison in action again, when they went to Harmony he had been very impressed with her abilities especially and so to be in training with her could be seen as inspirational.
“And those who want to stay please follow Madison into the center of the room while the training program loads, Angela, you’ll be focusing on combat tactics with me while the others are busy with fighting the holograms.” That was it, it was time to begin, Sean turned and began to walk close to Madison as she made her way over, Taylor also followed but before he left he gave one last look of encouragement to Angela and he knew that she was in good hands with Conner helping her. Stepping forward quickly he caught up and got in step with Sean and Ben who had joined him, grinning he whispered to them; “This should be good fun!” The obvious glint of excitement reflected in his yellow eyes as he interlocked his fingers and loosened them, a stray bolt of static charge jumping from his parting palms as he readied himself. Sean looked at him with a slight smirk as he switched his visor off of the safety mode it had been on, he then turned back and took up his position near Madison as the program loaded, awaiting the holograms to come, Taylor also took a position and ignoring Sean’s smirk looked at Ben, that glint still there, the symbol of him ready to give it his full.
Re: First Official X-treme Session in the Danger Room.
Ben had made his way to the boy’s locker room in order to suit up before his first official training session with the X-tremes. Although he had already been on a mission with some of them and had spent quite a few hours in the danger room itself, he understood the need for a team to know its strengths and weaknesses. So as he joined the rest of his team he glanced around and tried to call up all the information he knew about the other members.
Sean and Taylor he knew well and had already trained with them so he had a pretty good idea of their fighting style but as for the rest apart from knowing that most of them were highly powerful mutants he had no real idea how they like to play things. Connor started to go through the rules and it was hard for Ben to forget that he knew all these people on a friendly basis and that when they worked as a team things were different.
Looking around again as his mind wandered slightly he could see that there was some kind of strange relationship between Madison and Frost. Well they were after all both very strong women and well that often leads to rivalry. He caught Taylor glance towards Angie and smiled, well at least Taylor was having some luck. As Connor finished his speech he offered them all a chance to leave in case they didn’t feel up to working in the team. Ben had to admit that he felt a bit nervous but after the mission in Harmony he had gained some confidence from the fact that he could use his powers to defend the others.
Walking up to join Sean and Taylor he soon received the electric mutants broad grin which indicated that Taylor was in good spirits and looking forward to this. Ben caught Sean’s amused smirk at his cousins excitement and well he couldn’t help himself from smiling too. Taylor’s excitement was contagious and as the three of them reached Madison they were all ready, or hoped they were ready for whatever was going to be thrown at them.
Re: First Official X-treme Session in the Danger Room.
With Madison in charge of the rest of the group, Connor focused on trying to focus and help the new girl learn at least the basic self-defence moves that she'd need to learn to protect herself. They spent a few minutes talking about things, Angela felt so anxious and nervous, Taylor had basically brought her here so if she didn't do well there was a thought that others might think he wasted his time with her.
Since Angela's shoulder was still sore Connor was basically showing her the moves and having her slowly mimic them, to say she felt like an idiot would be a blunt understatement. Even with Connor insisting that the others went through the same things she couldn't help but feel like the odd one out when she caught glimpses of what the others were doing. It didn't take long for her shoulder to hurt, not to mention her arms in general where getting tired from all the moving, she wasn't one who did much exercise, it surprised people, she was thin but she wasn't one who intentionally tried to keep in shape.
It always amazed Connor at how easily some people could tire, being the son of Wolverine aside he was also very well trained at a young age, that alone meant he didn't understand why everyone his age had so much more trouble getting settled into a proper routine and learning, training, and practicing their moves so they didn't tire out so easily. When the new girls attention began to wander off Connor decided for a change of tactics.
"Alright, we'll spend some time focusing on your abilities." That most certainly didn't lighten her mood, but doing something she could at least partially do was better then all the exercising. Connor saw the look of uncertainty and he smiled just faintly - which is basically the brightest his smiles get - and assured her that it was alright. "My abilities are to mimic the powers of others, I just want you to focus on your sensory ability instead of actually inducing fear. We'll get onto that later when we're alone." He wasn't about to have his whole team watch him fight off his fears, especially in his condition, he probably wouldn't be able to put up much of a fight right now.
"Empathy is a powerful tool if you use it properly." It was odd, but Angela never really thought of her emotional sensing abilities to be any sort of powerful tool, more of a personal annoyance, half the time she didn't know if it was her own emotion or someone else’s. Everyone seemed pretty worked up at the moment, except Connor, who was uneasy about having her powers used on him, which she understood.. she wouldn't want someone forcing her to face one of her darkest fears. Since fears changed all the time, and the order in which you fear something the most, sometimes what you're terrified of one day might not seem as important the next. Even so, Angela didn't want to start off her first meeting by invading personal thoughts of others, it was a little hard to focus as well. It was easier to concentrate on Taylor since she knew him, but she didn't want to know what he was afraid of, and the girl was another easy target since she had been so mean to Angela at the Gold strike force meeting.
But she was taking care of all the others, and she didn't want to ruin the training session if she accidentally triggered the girls fear and scared her. Angela looked over towards Sean and then Ben, biting her lower lip gently for a moment before looking uneasily at the wrath-like form of her ghostly friend, Fear, as he hovered beside her. Eventually her eyes went back to watching them, focusing more on their emotions than on trying to figure out what they were afraid of, she wished she could ask them if they minded her knowing, but of course they wouldn't want others to know what they're afraid of, she knows she wouldn't want people to know her fears! It's personal..
Since Connor had personal insight with the use of her powers he was talking her through how to use them, she felt a little peculiar since he seemed to know how to handle her own gifts better than she did. But for once there was someone helping her instead of pushing her away or getting her to ignore her powers, that felt nice, and part of her really wanted to try and impress them all.

Re: First Official X-treme Session in the Danger Room.
(ooc- Okay, wasn’t too sure if you had a training thingy planned Angie so I made this up as I went along, can change it if you had any other plans. And sorry for keeping you all waiting for so long!)
She was still feeling impatient since the training program was still not up yet, so she threw a glance over her shoulder to see if she had been followed to the centre of the Danger Room by her fellow team members as Connor had requested. She smirked softly, since she knew that she was in charge of this group while her brother worked with Angela and for the fact that she could boss Frost around. Though, she barely thought that Anna Drake would do as she says, instead doing her own thing to please herself.
Looking forward once more, Madison noticed that the training program was finally finished. What Connor had set it to be was unknown for Madison and at times she liked it like that. When you’re going out on a mission you’re not going to know what you are up against, so it’s a good thing to be trained in a situation like that so you don’t freak out when it actually happens. Though, on the times she happened to be training by herself Madison of course knew what was set in her training and would make sure it was something to help on any weaknesses that she felt she had developed.
The first section of the first X-Treme training session was going to simply be virtual enemies. No altered backgrounds or scenery, just enough to focus on what was at hand without any distractions. Probably a good thing to start things off, since no one would want any distractions causing them to lose focus on their training and make a fool of themselves in front of the rest of the team. Most likely, that went for everyone, Madison included.
"Alright, you all know your powers so get into position, a distance where your powers will be useful for you and destroy whatever comes at you," the second in command ordered not bothering to sound as if she cared even slightly about how the others felt about this. Well, she didn’t so there was no point in acting otherwise, but it probably would have been the nice thing to do if she showed some warmth to the other team members. Then again, this was Madison and if she bothered to show any kind of warmth it was only with those she cared about and that was very few.
Her head lowered a little as her eyes fell to her hands and she gave them a threatening look as if to warn them that if they didn’t release her claws there would be trouble. There was the fact that she could always absorb the someone else’s powers, or use the couple she had absorbed a little earlier if her claws wouldn’t come out but she didn’t quite feel like showing off with that power at this moment. Best she stick with her family’s trademark. Looking back up it seemed as if her forearms saw the threat and her claws slid out with a soft ‘skint’ when she called for them. As usual, when they were released there was the sharp pain that was always felt as they cut through the skin and a little but of blood seeped from the wounds that were to be left when her claws retracted. Luckily her enhanced healing would fix up that and leave no cuts or scars after a few moments of healing.
Because her claws couldn’t be used from a distance she moved up to the robot-like enemy, a confident smirk spreading from her lips. There were others similar to this around the Danger Room by now, little over enough for one to each member of X-Treme. More would come once one was destroyed until this part of the training session was over. Whether there was going to be more tasks in this first session Madison was unaware of since she allowed Connor to plan this. He may have only wanted something short for the first session.
