Foreign Languages
"Bonjour, Hallo, and Hi to you all, this year we will be studying European languages, such as French and German. You have all been provided with a dictionary? Good. Now please open your textbooks to page 145, and we'll begin...."
Victoria sighed dramatically as she openned her textbook and made ready to begin.
Leaning over she asked the girl next to her, "Let's skip." The gril looked appalled and Victoria rolled her eyes. This place was going to be such a bore.
Luckily for her it didn't really matter how poorly or well she did, heck it didn't even matter how she treated her teachers. Her father would pay them enough to give her grades that were more than enough to get her into University and he'd pay off her professors there too. She was basically guarenteed success in life!
Not that she wasn't intelligent, or incapable of doing things herself. Victoria just didn't have any desire to work when she had a free pass through life.
Nonetheless skipping school wouldn't be any fun unless she had someone to skip with. She'd definetly have to get herself a group of followers.
(OOC: If anyone wants to jump in that would be great )
Re: Foreign Languages
*Lefterry frowned, why was he in a Foreign Languages class, obviously he already spoke a Foreign Language, he wanted to learn english. He was the only one not to open his book right away, he didn't really see the point, atleast he could barely understand what people said when they spoke slowly, he had no ability at all to actually read the Language.
With a sigh he looks over at the boy next to him, examening the pictures and number on the page he was opened at. Quickly before the teacher caught him with his book closed again, Lefterry flicks it open, the words, all alien, all different..
Quickly Lefterry raises his arm, it took a moment before the teacher bothered to make his way over to where Lefterry was sitting*
Teacher:"Can I help you Lefterry?"
*Lefterry gave a blank look back at him, the Language Teacher refrased what he said in another language, Lefterry pointed to his book and spoke back, although in greek, it was obvious he was upset*
Teacher:"Oh really? And does anyone else think this class is a waste of time?"
*The teacher asks as his cold stare moves across the room, and before anyone could have a chance to respond he continues*
Teacher:"No? Good, otherwise you can all join Lefterry for extra study after school."
*He looks back at Lefterry, speaking to him in greek, by the look on the boys face he was getting told off, something he was obviously not used to because he didn't take it very well. Slaming his text book close, Lefterry stands and is a good few inches taller then the short teacher. Picking up his book, Lefterry heads for the door, a string of greek insults flow from his mouth as he dumps the text book in the bin on his way out into the hall.
How dare that teacher say he wasn't trying, how can he learn anything if he doesn't understand what is being said and can't read what he wants every one to read? Learning english should be the first language they teach him, not german or french!
He made his way over to the water fountain, taking a drink, his throat was dry from all the yelling he did since the morning. A lot of the students found it amusing starting fights with him, because the Language Teacher wasn't always around and none of the other teachers where able to translate what Lefterry was say to them or the questions they wanted to ask him, often his attackers would not be punished.
He took a seat near by the fountain, deciding to wait for the next class to begin. No matter how much he hated school he couldn't go back to the institute because he'd get into trouble, and he didn't know anywhere else to go spend his time. It was a long wait, and almost right away he starts humming a soft melody to pass the time*
Re: Foreign Languages
Victoria did, however small it was, have a conscience and although she loved to see students getting told off she somehow felt strangely bad for the foreign stranger.
Standing up from her desk she displayed every ounce of attitude she had and said, "I think your class is a waste of time Mr. under my father's control. They told you about me right? How I'm passing this course because your school can't do without daddy's contributions? So I'll tell you what. You can assign someone to do all my homework well for me every night or you can just mark the A's in your little book for the rest of the year. I'll come when I feel like it and I'm telling Daddy about you getting upset today. I can make your life miserable so don't make mine or Zeus of the Greeks' life miserable."
Her voice, which had remained soft but with rising danger and anger paused for a moment before she added in her sweet, I can wind anyone around my finger, way "Have a nice day."
Victoria picked up her books and left the class, letting the door slam behind her.
"Man what a bore," she said to herself and rolled her eyes as she fiddled with her hair.
She only knew what little greek her father had taught her but perhaps it was enough to say something to the foreign student by the fountain.
"Bad Teacher. Will deal with him," she said, her sentence structure becoming mixed up in the process.
Re: Foreign Languages
*Lefterry right away went silent as the girl approched, but his guard seemed to drop slightly as she attempted to speak to him in greek. He looked up at her, a smile easily spready across his lips as he stands up*
Lefterry:"Lefterry."
*His name had a heavy greek accent to it, he places his hand on his chest to signal he was saying his name.
He paused for a moment, unsure what else to say*
Lefterry:"You...stay..for class?"
*He says in poor broken english, asking if she was intending on staying at school, his sweet smile never left his face, his thumbs hooked onto his jean pockets as he stood there*
Re: Foreign Languages
On the other side of the room, Edwyn was bored to tears. So he decided to take a walk outside. Vanish turned himself invisible. Walked slowly and quietly to the door (he didn't teleport becuase that would make to much noise) and he slipped out.
"Ahh, that was the hard part" he said as he teleported out of the school.
"Now, who to pull a prank on." he asked himself, looking around.
Re: Foreign Languages
Victoria smiled again radiantly at his sweet smile and poor english. She found it strangely...attractive.
"No," she said with a shake of her head. "I'm very bored. How about you?" Victoria deliberately tried to keep her english short and sweet in hopes that he'd understand her.
"I'm Victoria by the way," she added, remembering her name. Just as he had done she indicated herself with a hand gesture.
Re: Foreign Languages
*Completely unaware of the invisible prankster, Lefterry smiles as he repeats her name*
Lefterry:"Victoria."
*He memorizes the pronounciation of her name before continuing. He did notice she was speaking slower, and that made it easier for him to try and translate what she was saying*
Lefter:"Bored?"
*He wasn't really positive what that ment, but he was sure it had something to do with not wanting to be there, by the tone of her voice*
Lefterry:"Leave?"
*He asks, obviously not wanting to stay for the rest of the classes*
Re: Foreign Languages
(ooc-Sorry, at first I was waiting to see if Vanish would post, but then I left for 2 days and just got back today)
*Lefterry grinned as they began to walk away from the class, although he was somewhat terrified over how he was going to communicate with Victoria.
He looked over at her for a moment, wondering if she'd ever know just how popular he was back home, or if she'd always think of him as some kid with a speak disability*
Lefterry:"Xavier make Lefterry come in class."
*He says with a slight sigh in his voice*
Lefterry:"Hungry?"
*He asks, suddenly realizing he might be forcing her to skip lunch by leaving with him*
Re: Foreign Languages
Victoria tossed her mane of hair. This was going well considering neither one could truly speak the other's language.
"Yah, I am," she said simply with another radiant smile. "Where should we eat?"
Hopefully he had good taste. She was starving and was never in the mood for all the grease of McDonald's or another fast food cheap item place. She liked class and style and hoped that he had it. And money? Well that would just be a bonus!
*Beth slowed to a stop behind a tree, she had been running since the people at the local supermarket weren't willing to let her take some food for free. She grinned as she looked around her old school she used to attend. Ha! They'll never catch me, and if they do look for me, here would be the last place they'd look! She tought to herself.
After coming out of thought she could hear two voices, a girl and a guy. She peered around the tree seeing both Victoria and Lefterry. Maybe she could get something from them, so Beth began studying them both.*
Beth: "...A little princess and a guy who can't speak? Pfft, don't make it so easy..."
*She scoffed quietly to herself. Then hearing them mention something about food caught more attention to her. Go out for food? But they both had school... Were they going to ditch? Surely not...
Slowly, walking but this is slow to her, she crept out from behind the tree. She approached them both with a slight smirk.*
Beth: "...ooooOOOOOoooo, you two gonna ditch a class, are you?"
*She asked with a kind of snobbish-sturring tone in a voice.*
Re: Foreign Languages
Victoria looked over the new girl with obvious distain.
"Yes we're going for lunch, you on the other hand must be on your way to the mall. There is no way you would be wearing an outfit like that of your own free will is there." Victoria said but it was a statement, not a question.
Re: Foreign Languages
*Beth blinked then looked down to what she was wearing. As she raised her head to look back to the girl she glared.*
Beth: "...And you expect me to wear what you wear?"
*She asked pointing towards Victoria's clothes*
Beth: "Pfft, these clothes suit my style! Anyway, I can see that someone is a little Princess with her posh clothes! I bet Daddy brought them for you. Isn't that how things are?"
*She smirked before turning around, leaving her back to them both.*
Beth: "And to think I was going to tell you and your boyfriend a great place to eat out at..."
*She shrugs her shoulders and takes a few steps forward*
Re: Foreign Languages
Victoria tossed her hair and looked haughtily over at Beth. "I'm sorry did you just say you had style? Think again sweetie," she said in an entirely fake voice.
"At least my daddy can afford to buy me clothes so that I don't have to make them myself," she continued in her usual brutally honest(in her opinion) way. "He's not my boyfriend yet and I already had a place in mind but thanks for the tip about MacDonalds, I'll keep it in mind," Victoria finished, glaring at Beth.
Re: Foreign Languages
Victoria leaned in closer to Beth and said in a tone with less attitude but the slightest hint of 'cross me and die', "I've done things you can't even imagine. Daddy wouldn't even have all his money if I hadn't been there. It's as much mine as it is his. I have no need for shoplifting, I'm too far beyond that."
She paused and backed away a little. "Besides little miss track and field it sooo isn't about speed."
Re: Foreign Languages
*Beth gave a look to Victoria, almost wondering what she was on about. Her speed was everything, it kept her out of trouble that she didn't need. She took a step back and was about to turn around to leave, but Beth wanted to know what Victoria was on about.*
Beth: "Well, if it isn't about speed, what is it then?"
*She asked placing her hands on her hips, waiting for a reply.*
Re: Foreign Languages
Lefterry looked confusingly from one girl to the other, all this yelling was bad, but for him it was even worse, because he didn't understand what they where yelling about.
He watched as Beth seemed to turn, hoping she was heading off, but she didn't, she stopped and turned, Lefterry took a step back, standing behind Victoria.
He watched, trying not to allow himself to panic, after all, it couldn't be too serious, they where probably just school rivels or something, nothing could be dangerous since they where in a school.
Re: Foreign Languages
Victoria's smug look was highly annoying as she leaned in once again. It took a moment as she cautionned herself against using her mutant powers against this annoying twerp of a girl.
"Well money's one thing, popularity, beauty and talent. So far I don't see you having any of the above," Victoria answered.
**Ouch!** she thought. **Score one for Princess Victoria**
"Come on Lefterry. This conversation is boring me," she said with a toss of her head. "Call me if you want another catfight or perhaps some fashion tips," Victoria finished, turning from Beth but not leaving yet. She thought it was mighty big of her to allow the girl one last poor attempt at an insult before she swept off.
