A stoll in the graveyard never seemed to help him, but he's legs just seemed to carry him here, sometimes it was as if he wanted the voices to torment him.
They where always painful around here, telling him that he was the one that put them there.
Spike:"Bloody hell, how would you like it if all the bloody pigs and cows you all ate come and squeelled in your heads? I'm a bloody vampire you stupid gits!"
He snarled angrily at a group of people only he could see following him.
Spike:"Back off luv, or I'll pull that spike from your head and stab it threw your heart!"
He threatend as he stared the illusion coldly in the face, but she faded off as he tried to punch her, startled he looked about.
Spike:"that's right, run off!"
There was a bustle in the bushes, he spun around and in a quiet whimpering voice he calls out.
Spike:"..Who's there?"
Slowly stepping towards the shadowy bushes Spike's hand reaches out hesitantly.
Girl:"Don't hurt me!"
Come a scream from the shadows, a young teenager leaps out of the bushes, with a yelp Spike stumbles backwards.
Spike:"Bloody hell.."
He began as he placed a hand over his heart.
Spike:"Scared me witless you did, little late to be out here on your own isn't it?"
He paused, remembering he was a big bad guy again.
Spike:"I mean, get outta here! Rar!"
The 15 year old trembled as her tears swelled in her eyes.
Spike:"Oh come on, for crying out loud, stop the snivling!"
The girl gave a sniffle.
Girl:"You're going to kill me, I heard you say you're a vampire! I know you're just tricking me!"
Spike:"..Struth...I don't want to kill you, I've had my fill, so get going before I get peckish again!"
Ok, this was hard, Spike hadn't fed all day, he was hungry, but if tried to bite her...he wasn't going to let her see him wiggle about in pain.
Vamping out, his yellow eyes glare upon the girl.
Spike:"Get away from me!"
He snarled loudly waving his arms wildly, with a scream she run off, with relief he watched her disappear, letting out a frustrated groan.
Spike:"Kids now days..."
He said with a slight smirk.

JENNIFER
Rogue watched nearby, unlike the girl she knew Spike couldn't hurt innocents, well, anything not demonic, she felt sorry for leaving the girl alone like that, but she had been curious to see how he'd act with her, what he'd do.
He may have returned to the other side, he may have gone crawling back to Angelus and Dru, but wasn't like them, not any more, Riley and his military group - the Initative, had taken care of that.
He may be truing to fool them, but Rogue knew he could never fully go back to them, but that didn't mean she wasn't going to kill him.
Rogue:"And you call yourself the Big Bad."
She called out mockingly. The vampire spun around.
Spike:"Slayer, haven't seen you around for a while, I'm feeling ignored."
Rogue:"I had more serious problems to attend to, more dangerous creatures out there you know."
William's eyes narrowed slightly as he grunted.
Spike:"I am bad!
Rogue:"Keep telling yourself that.."
Spike growled as he stalked towards her, Rogue knew this was it, this was the time that it all ended...this was the big event.
She raised her fists, one hand with stake the other clentched tightly into a fist, Spike rushed towards her, but stopped just a meter away, his gaze locked on something behind her.
Spike:"What the hell?"
Rogue slowly looked over her shoulder, there was some kind of portal, a watery doorway to some unknown place. But they couldn't wonder about it too long, a blast shoots past Spike and strikes Rogue in the chest, sending her flying backwards.
Spike:"Rogue!"
willow:"Spike!"
Spike turned around, Willow, Dru and Angelus where all there, Willow's eyes where glowing.
Angelus:"Glade you came to join us, we had a call from an old friend, turns out he needs some help. This place has began to bore me, so I have taken him up on the offer. Leave."
He looked over at Willow for the last word, meaning he wanted her gone, she didn't dare question him, and she quickly scurried away.
Drusilla:"Tusk Tusk Spikey...playing with the slayer, I thought you where in bed."
Spike:"What's going on?"
He growled angrily, more upset that Jennifer was laying knocked out on the ground then about him beening left out of the loop .
Angelus:"We've got a new play ground, time to have some fun."
DRUSILLA
Walking up to Spike, Angelus grabbed hold of him, tossing the bleached Vampire back first into the portal, he paused and looked over at Rogue.
Drusilla smiled and followed after Spike, beconing for angelus to follow and leave the girl, he didn't step into the portal until Dru was completely inside herself.
All the vampires where soon gone, yet the portal remained open, though the unconsious Slayer wasn't aware of what was going on, her body laid meters from the watery doorway.
Suddenly a burst of light erupts from inside the portal, balls of light shooting out and racing across the grave yard as if drawn to things they sped off in search of what they where seeking.

CATHERINE
Cat's body smashed hard into the ground, her shoulder taking most of the impact. Lying face down in the dirt for a second, gasping for breath, winded by the impact. Her heart beat furiously in her chest, what had just happened.
She raised herself on to her knees, looking around her, darkness was the first thing she noticed and a distinct lack of school and corridor. Where was everyone, she looked around her feeling an overwhelming sense of panic. Catching sight of Sean's body lying a little way to her left.
She got rather shakily to her feet and crossed over to him, in this strange place she didn't care right at the moment if he were a mutant. She knelt down next to him, seeing a thin trickle of blood running down the side of his face, black in the darkness. She shivered glancing around her once more, the hairs on the back of her neck standing upon end.
'Sean.' She reached out a hand and shook his shoulder tentativley. 'Sean wake up.' Her knees were trembling, face white, she felt as though she was about to be sick. All her brashness was gone to be replaced with timidity and fear. She repeated his name once more, reaching out a small hand to whipe away the blood before it ran into his visor. She was suddenly afraid that he was dead, feeling her hand's start to shake.
She looked around her once more realising how cold it was, like the sun had never touched the place, she was wearing only a small strappy top and she shivered again but this time it was from the cold.
SEAN
Sean groned as he felt the hand on his shoulder, shaking him slightly. He slowly opened his eyes to the darkness that enveloped them and tried to think back to what had happened, to where those people had come from and where they had thrown him to now.
As Seans eyes adjusted to the darkened lands through his specialised glasses he focused to see Cat knelt beside him and was slightly shocked to see an air of concern about her feminine features.
"What.....what happened? Where are we?" Sean asked quietly as he rose from the ground, wiping the small amount of blood from his forehead and shaking it off the back of his hand, the red liquid settling openly on the earthy ground beneath their feet.
He knew as soon as he had asked that Cat wouldn't know anymore, if not less, than he did and was instantly put onto a state of alert his senses heightening to account for the chance of danger in this unknown land.
"Cat, I know you dont really like me, or what i am, but we need to put that behind us for now," His eyes on constant move for any danger, ready to focus on anything he might need to move with his mind. At the same time he attempted to open his mind to the presence of others, but his underdeveloped psychic abilities were little help to him. "We need to find a safe place, and work out where we can go, and if we can contact any of our friends."
Sean gestured towards a large nobbly tree that looked as if it had stood for about a thousand years, "There, quick."
Helping Cat across the open vastness and away from the swirling vortex the two young people knelt behind the large trunk of the tree and Sean turned back to Cat after a last check around them;
"Please Cat, I know you don't like to think of yourself as one of us, but I need to know what your 'skills' are, you might have to use them. I don't know where we are, but as you can probably see, it doesn't look like it's going to be a nice safe journey back home." Although she couldn't see it, Sean's eyes showed both worry and concern for them both, he was going to have to call on all his training with his mother and the Professor to make sure the two of them stayed safe.....
CATHERINE
Cat could have cried with relife when he opened his eyes, the thought of being here .... where ever here was, were they still on earth? the thought was too horrid to even contemplate. And who had those people been? she looked back at the vortex shivering, not understanding what had happened to the pair of them. Where was Riley, she could still hear his screams echoing in her ears. She clentched her hand's into fists to try and stop them shaking.
'They hurled us though that.' She said looking back at the swirling vortex as if it would reach out and bite her. She nodded in agreement with his suggestion that they put aside their feelings about one another for the time being. She was glad she wasn't alone, even if it was Sean she was with.
She crouched down next to him realising with a shiver that they were in a graveyard, she inched closer to him, prefering him to the rotting corpses six feet down beneath the ground. She looked up so see they were also sheltering beneath a large statue of an angel, wings outstreatched, hand's clasped in prayer. One of the delicate wings was partially broken and moss covered the lower slopes of her robes. There was something errie yet quietly beautiful about the figure who would stand for eternity untill she crumbled into dust. Her eyes seemed to look down with gentle curiosity at the pair of them and Cat who had some beliefs that there was someone up there felt comforted in the angels presence. She glanced across at Sean, listening intently as he spoke. Shaking her head desparingly as he finnished speaking.
'I'm sorry Sean. I really don't have powers, I shouldn't even be here, there was some stupid mix up with a car Anne and Roger seemed to think just because I got out of the way before I was hit that I'm a mutant.' She paused, swallowing hard as she asked a question she didn't even want to think about. 'Do you think we can get home?' Her voice trembled as she spoke, blinking back tears which threatened to spill down her cheeks. Cat didn't really have anyone in her life she could fall back on, with no parents she had come to rely upon herself. But this situation was nothing like anything she had encountered before in her short life and she found she didn't know how to cope.
For the first time she actually wished she had powers, something, anything that would help them get out of here. She wished any of her friends were here with her, even Jon. There friendship had been anything but smooth sailing. He had been dating her best friend Bekki when they had met. From the outset she had felt an attraction towards him to some degree. Tall, dark, handsom and rich Jon was everything a girl could want and she had been young, if that was an excuse for what happened.
She shook her head, feeling the old guilt rising up in her as thought about what they had done. It really had been more his fault, he could hold his drink and at that point Cat could not.
SEAN
Sean continued to scan the surrounding area, the cold, dark graveyard seemed unreal, the light layer of mist that danced just off of the ground swept past them, through them.
Sean turned back to Cat, and although it wasn't obvious, he looked deep into the shimmering brown eyes that watched him with less hostility than they ahd shown since they had been introduced;
"I don't want to argue, at this point it could be dangerous, but the Professor would have told you if you were not meant at the school, there is something, a gift that has bestowed to you and if we can discover what it is, it could help us get out of here.
As for how we can get back, the only thing I can think of is to return back through that vortex, but we have no way of knowing if it is stable, that it ends at the same point each time it is past through. I can't sense or percieve anyhting on the other side, but that doesn't mean anything. We can't stay here all night though."
Sean spoke quickly and quietly, he didn't want to waste any time, they had to either take a chance at the portal or find somewhere more perminant to hide out for now.....
CATHERINE
Cat sighed, why did no one belive her, she had the distinct urge that perhaps it would be good and easy to strangle him right here. I'm not a mutant She thought with vexation, hoping to God that they made it out of here alive, she had no wish to meet more of those creatures who had thrown them here. Perhaps they would be waiting upon the other side for them.
'Won't your professor come looking for you?' She asked a questioning note in her voice. 'Perhaps we should stay here.' She didn't sound convinced, yet what other options did they have, she wasn't going back through that portal for anyone.
The mist seemed to wrap it's self around them, chilling Cat almost to the bone, she rubbed at her arms, feeling goosebumps under her fingers. She wanted to go home, she still felt as though she was about to be sick but she was glad of Sean's presence.
'Carn't we find somewhere to shelter?' She said her voice chattering, she glanced around her but the mist appeared to press down on them, if anything it was getting thicker. There was something menacing about the way it crowded in on them and she found herself leaning closer to Sean. She wanted to sob and beg him to take her back, she would gladly have stayed at the school for gifted youngesters for weeks if she could only get back there but what good would that have done. 'Somewhere within calling distance so that we can hear if they come looking for us.'
JENNIFER
With a groan Jen slowly inhaled a mouth full of air into her lungs, she lifted her head slightly off the ground, instantly remembering Spike was around she tried to hurridly get to her feet, but just getting on her knees proved painful enough.
Rogue:"...Owch."
Placing a hand over her chest, attempting to remember what had hit her, was it Spike? No...he was looking at....Rogue's head slowly turned and faced the portal, where the hell did that came from!?
Rogue:"..Spike?"
She called, yet no responce was returned, the Slayer's eyes narrowed slightly as she scanned the gateway.
Rogue:"..If this is another doorway to hell, I swear I'm gonna kick his ass!"
Her hand slowly dropped to her side, that's when she heard movement, breathing, 2 hearts beating nearby, she spun around with her wooden Stake raised high.
Rogue:"Who's-?"
As she began to speak yet another disuption in the vortex appears, the gateway spitting out even more bodies. The Slayer was almost knocked off her feet the portal closed in a blast, she jumped a few feet away from the creatures that appeared.
Rogue:"I don't know what you things are but if you don't start talking you're all going to go to back to which ever hell Dimension you just came from!"
She yelled very confused, glaring down at the figures laying on the ground before her, continuing to keep the stake raised defencivly until she got some answers.
Rogue:"And before you get all huffy, you should know I'm the slayer and I can kick your butts without trying!"
She said in a threatening tone as she glared down at the boy and girl who had just fallen to the ground before the doorway closed.
ELEANOR
Eleanor: "What is causing all this noise in my graveyard?"
*A voice stretched out as the ghost with a body walked onto the scene, behind her follwed what looked like a decaying man, a zombie. She looked past Rogue and towards the newcomers, studying them and before she spoke she lifted her head and look away.*
Eleanor "...Almost human-like...but not quite...I bet they could be useful dead...Better than what these vampires leave me to work with..."
*Her voice kept trailing off as she spoke to herself, the zombie scoffed at the last remark. Then her eyes grew as a thought approached her mind, she turned back to the zombie and fell in his arms as she sulked.*
Eleanor: "Oh no! They have been brought here to bring back light and goodness to the world...Why now?"
CATHERINE
Cat's already tormented brain had had enough, she didn't understand what was happening to her, she found it hard enough to be around mutants. But this was more than she could cope with. With an anguished sob she span to her feet and dashed off.
She didn't look back to see if Sean was following, her mind was only full of terror and panic, the only thing she wished was to get as far from here as possible. The put one hand on the low wall and valuted over, her feet hitting the floor upon the other side hard. The next second she was under the dark cover of trees, she hardly noticed as she struggled her way through them. She half thought she heard shouts behind her but there was nothing that would or could have persuaded her to stop her wild flight.
She stopped along time later, only when her knees were shaking and she gluped painfully for breath. Placing one hand upon the trunk of a tree she treied to still her racing heart. She slumped to the floor, her back pressed against the wood of the tree, her knees drawn upto her chin, arms wrapped around her legs. Tears spilling down her face, sobs catching painfully in her throat. She wanted to go home, she didn't want any of this to be happening. For the moment at least she didn't realise she was lost and alone ....
SEAN
Sean turned and watched as Cat ran off into the shadows, he knew she wouldn't be able to cope here alone, she denied herself so how could she survive.
The sounds of voices permiated the dark silence that was settled upon the graveyard. Sean spun to see two more students at the mouth of the vortex, but this time a woman stood over them, she held a large object in her hand and looked as if she was ready to plummet it into the two students.
Sean had to act quickly, he was the only one here that was friendly to these people, or so it seemed and he wanted to do something. He raised a hand to the side of his face, ready to tweek his visor to shoot a blast of speering red energy into the assailant but as he did he realised he didn't have his visor, he only wore his protective glasses because when he was thrown through it was just an ordinary day.
Sean had to think quickly, he only had his telekinesis now, luckily his strongest power, but still he felt lessened with one of his strengths lost at this moment. He bolted from behind the tree and back towards the vortex, he stopped about ten meters away from the woman who held, what Sean could see now as a wooden stake. With an arm outsretched and his mind opened Sean grabbed the unsuspecting woman with his powers, her body freezing whee it was. Sean slowly lifted her from the ground and turned her towards him;
"Leave them alone!" Sean said with a strong voice, "You two, get up, get over here now, quick!" Sean spoke quickly to the two that were on the ground, a slight amount of fear in their eyes. He turned his attention back to the woman who was held in his grasp, her arm still held high as it was before she was taken by Sean's abilities;
"What do you want with us? Why have you brought us here?!" An air of anger seeped into his words as he spoke......
JENNIFER
Rogue's eyes tore away from the figures on the ground, glaring over at the ghostly figure she had seen so many times before.
Rogue:"Eleanor! You lay one ghostly finger on these people and I'll come here every night and re-kill all your zombies faster then I can slayer a vampire!"
The experienced Slayer warned in a dangerous tone.
Rogue:"Now make sure they don't move from here, or I'll come back with a nice shiny sword and de-head a few of your friends."
With that the Slayer looked back down at the figures, but before she was able to flee after the girl, a boy moved towards her, the young man had his arm out stretched as her body froze.
As she was lifted off the ground she glared at the boy angrily
"What do you want with us? Why have you brought us here?!"
Rogue:"ME!?"
She retorted angrily to his accusing words
The girl seemed to disappear, but Rogue's hearing followed the beating of her heart, it was so fast, the girl was scared, and she couldn't sense anything demonic about her....she was human, they where all human.
As the Slayer struggled to free herself from the mutants hold there was a call, a sandy haired boy teleports into the area nearby, his dark shadowy figure becoming solid instantly.
Mark:"Hey, Kuda thinks a portal of some kind was opened here, wanted us to come find ya, seen anything...portally? ...Oh...uh...am I interupting?"
He asked as he looked about.
Rogue:"I didn't bring you here, I don't even know where you're from, do you know where you are, do you know who I am?"
She glared over at the newly appeared mutant.
Rogue:"Uh...yeah, go grab the others....I think Spike might have done something really stupid..again."
Mark:"Spike? As in, he's only harmless there's no point in kil-"
Rogue:"Not the time Mark."
She said bluntly to the mutant who's body began to break down into a black mist as he teleported off again.
Cautiously she focused on Sean
Rogue:"A little odd to be wearing those, not exactly sunny 'round here."
She stated towards his glasses.
Rogue:"...I know you're human, so am I, put me down and we can talk.."
She frowned as she continued
Rogue:"I don't know why you're here, or what trouble you plan on causing, but I'm the Slayer in this City, I'm the guardian of Lost Angel and any innocents instantly fall under my protection."
Something Eleanor said had caught her attention...she was in tears saying they came to bring back the sun....could that be true?
Rogue:"...So, what do I tell my friends when they arrive, are you with us, or the vampires? And don't even think of running off, I don't care if you're human, I'm not letting any of you or your friends outta my sights until I'm told where you're from and why you're here!"
She demanded, acting totally oblivious to the fact she was the one that was disadvantaged
Rogue:"And don't think that girl will get far, that human, Mark, he can find her in an instant, that is unless she runs into a vampire first, but then, if you work for Angelus they shouldn't hurt her right?"
She asked accusingly.
CATHERINE
Cat gave a shuddering sigh this time in anger as she used the back of her hand to whipe the tears from her face, but her cheeks were still blotchy and red. She had the sudden urge to hit something anything to vent her building anger and her shame. She could belive she had just cried, it wasn't in her nature to be soft, she hadn't really weapt since the death of her parents and she was shocked by her own display of emotion.
She got to her feet rubbing her palms on her combats, her eyes and ears straining, feeling shame that she had run off and left Sean, but then bravery and fighting did not come naturally to her. She only struck out if she had to do so to protect herself and thankfully there hadn't been too many occassions.
She looked around her wondering where she was, rubbing her arms in an effort to warm herself up. She was trying to keep angry, if she was angry she wouldn't cry and she couldn't handle another outburst.
SEAN
Sean glared at the woman as she made her demands even though she was completely under his control. But for some reason, this hostility seemed different, it seemed like she was telling the truth about not knowing anything about them. And Vampires? Are they the ones who had thrown him and Cat through the vortex. Cat?! Where had she gone? Was she ok? His mind raced;
"We are not on any side, we were thrown into this world, this unearthly land by three. Three with features as harsh as any monster, their eyes were piercing. But they were able to change their appearance, to look as you and I do, how do I not know you are not one of them. You looked ready to pierce that stake through my friends."
Sean looked deep into her eyes, he extended him mind, his thoughts, something said trust her. He raised his other hand, and as soon as he did the wooden stake that was glasped in her grip was released and summoned to Seans own grip. With his mind he lowered the woman to the floor releasing her from his power, but ready to reinstate the energy if needed, in any form he felt necissary.
"We didn't come here of our own free will. People forced us through that vortex, what is this place? Why have you sent that other after Cat, she is innocent here. As for my glasses, lets just say you don't want to look me in the eye, it's very dangerous and without my visor, which is back through that portal, I have no control of what is behind these glasses."
Sean spoke seriously with a slight hint of anger in his voice, how dare this woman make demands on them, but something told him that he will be able to trust this woman, in time at least.
But he didn't like the look of the strange floating ghost-like body who was with them, and he could both see and sense the feelings between it and the woman who stood before him. This was surely a strange and disturbing place and as time past Sean's worries for Cat increased.....
SEAN
Sean shot a glance at the odd woman, her taunts catching his ear as she spoke to the strangly deformed figure beside here;
"I don't think..." He said openly, the headstrong young man knew that at that moment things were to his advantage, but he also knew that they might try and use Cat to theirs.....
JENNIFER
Once her feet where on the ground, Rogue gave a gentle pat down of her clothes as if she got dust over them.
Rogue:"..Well...that was very...Drusilla like..."
She spoke in a slightly puzzled tone, but decided he had nothing to do with her.
Rogue:"Alright, so.."
She placed her hands on her hips.
Rogue:"First off, they tossed you in here? 3 Vamps? Was one with bleached hair, another dark brown hair and the 3rd one a dark haired lady?"
She shook her head.
Rogue:"Because if they are where ever you came from, then you're home's got some trouble on their hands.."
She looked around.
Rogue:"If you're not around here...and you don't seem at all familure with Vampires...we better go after your friend! This is no place for innocents, you say she's an innocent, then give me my stake and lemme go after her, most demons that hang around the graveyard aren't as pleasent Eleanor here."
She said with a jerk of her thumb.
Rogue:"If you're really not here to cause trouble, then it's my duty as Slayer to take you somewhere safe, I have an apartment nearby, I get you off the streets, you give me info on what's going on."
Holding out her hand as she moved towards Sean slowly, Rogue awaited for him to pass it back to her.
Rogue:"And I wasn't going to stab your friends, but I've only lived this long because I'm cautious, I only would have attacked had they attacked me, now, for the innocent girl who's off by herself and scared by the sounds of her heart, give me my vampire slaying tool and let's go after her before she encounters the local wildlife."
It was obvious she was a leader of some kind, she seemed to, with out thinking, take change of every situation she encounted.
SEAN
Sean looked at the woman, she seemed sincere and he knew that she was there only chance. He had decided, it was up to Dawn and Clay if they wanted to go with them, but he was going with this 'slayer' to find Cat, she had to be found.
"Very well," Sean said, slowly lowering his arm and with the other hand passing the long wooden stake the Slayer, "I am Sean Summers, a mutant from through there (he pointed at the vortex). The girl we are looking for is called Cat, she is a mutant to, however she denies the truth and will not admit to what she truly is. She is very timid and when she is scared gets very hostile, so this could be hard."
Sean scanned the area again, he needed to no his surroundings, he was on edge and was ready to fight if he needed to. He stepped back slightly looking around and addressed the group of people who were there around him;
"I am ready to go and find Cat and you can explain all about this Drusilla? and the Vampires? Dawn, Clay, its up to you if you want to come with me and.....sorry, what do i call you..Slayer?" Sean asked questioningly as the low roar of something unearthly echoed across the graveyard, heightening Sean's senses readying him for anything that was going to come at him.....
CATHERINE
Cat heard the roar, heard it and flintched. She had been having an inner debate as to weather she should go back and try to rescue Sean if he was still alive, if she could even find her way. But the sound of that made up her mind in a second, seemed to be coming from the direction she had come in.
She turned and pushed her way on though the bush, trying to quieten her breath, her feet making little noise upon the leaf litter. She couldn't go back, a small part of her brain wanted to but the rest of her mind trampled it out. All her senses and movements heightened by her aglility, feeling a rush of adrenelin flush though her. Her body keeping her upon her toes. It was almost pitch black but her keen eyes could make out the way infront of her.
It began to rain, light at first, spitting in her face, making her turn her face away but as she moved along it began to rain heavier. She hoped she was imagining the feeling of being followed, or being stalked, making her movements quieter. But her heart seemed to defen her, fluttering wildly like a caged bird beating futiely against steel bars. She was soaked, her hair plastered to her head, giving her the appearence of a drowned rat. Yet there was something attractive about her face in the rain, droplets of water on her smooth cheeks, dripping from her eye brows over the hollows which housed her dark eyes. A strand of now dark, wet hair fell over her face, she didn't bother to push it out of the way.
DAWN
Dawn stared at the dark haired girl infront of them, silent the whole time she and Sean talked. This girl didn't recognise her....she looked at her on the odd occassion, but acted as if she hadn't ever seen her before!
But unless her sister had a long lost twin running about...
She was startled back to reality as a bone chilling howl echoed threw the grave yard.
Dawn:"Whoa..not cool, that's like a WhereWolf's howl!"
She said slightly trembling as she clings to Clay's arm, although a habit of hers, and she didn't mean anything by it, Tessa was often known to stare jealously towards her when she did that to Clay, even though she did it to all the guys.
That thought however was miles away she she glanced about nervously for the creature that owned the howl.
Watching as Jennifer took hold of her stake, Dawn followed hesitently after both Sean and her, dragging Clay along with her as she followed.
"A werewolf?" Clay asked, trying to keep fear out of his voice so he could get the situation under control and not scare Dawn.
"I think Tess mentionned them before, along with faeries, selkies, siryns, harpies and other such things," Clay said as he followed Dawn.
It was best that they stick together since neither of them, or the others, seemed to know where exactly they were by the looks of it.
Dawn's question brought his eyes, which had been trying to get their barings, back to her. "Cat's going to be alright isn't she?"
"She'll be okay," he reassured Dawn although in truth he didn't know. What else was he suposed to say? No she's going to die? Yah right.
"Why are we following this girl?" he asked, posing his own question to the younger mutant.
SEAN
"Because she won't survive if we don't." Sean cut in, talking to the younger man with a semi-smile even though it wasn't truly what he felt. "Cat isn't like us, she won't admit she's a mutant, she denies it and freaks out at the sight of anything 'out of the ordinary'. If we just let her go around here I dread to think what will happen, generally Vampires and such creatures arn't quite as accomodating as us mutants. It's good of you two to come and help, it's hugely appreciated."
The grouped walked quickly through the graveyard in the direction that Cat had bolted, the cold air and atmosphere of the expanse of land was worsened by the sudden fall of light rain drops from the black sky above. As they walked the rain increased and Sean wanted more and more for them to just find Cat and get out of here.
"Slayer, I will try and open my mind, she bolted this way but I might be able to sense her around here, my powers aren't strong, but I can try. But i will need you, Clay and Dawn to keep a watch, I will be concentraiting on trying to find Cat, my guard will be lessened, is there a safe place we can do ths around here?"
Sean knew that was a stupid question, a safe place in the empty demon filled land, but maybe this slayer knew of a place where he could try and locate her, as time passed Sean grew increasingly worried for Cat's safety, such a change in his views of the young woman shocked him, but the situation they were in was having an effect on him, he didn't want to see anyone killed or worse.....
ROGUE
Rogue:"Look Soldier boy, you can call me Rogue, don't worry about growly, I should be ble to handle it."
She gave a dry smile.
Rogue:"You should be worried about Vampires they run this place, litrally."
She removed her jacket, her sleevless singlet allowing the bare back shoulder to be seen, a tattoo slightly visible, a griffon of sorts, but Rogue quickly placed her leather coat back on.
Rogue:"It's the first thing they'll look for when they see her, if you guys don't have an ownership mark, then that means you're considered wild humans, up for the picking."
She looked around as she spoke,
Rogue:"Now that you mention it, there was a crypt that a guy used to use, should still be abandond."
She pointed to a small stone house of sorts, hurrying towards it she kicked open the wooden door, the dusty stale air gladly breathing in the fresh air that flowed in from outside.
Rogue:"Alright, you stay here, let me handle the lumpies."
There was some puzzled looks as Rogue pulled out a cross.
Rogue:"Lumpies, Vampires."
She said with a slight shrug and a smile.
Rogue:"If this takes too long, I'm going after her, can't be that many humans walking the streets this early, Mark should be here soon with the back up...which...so you know, isn't that much."
She admitted as she waited for Sean to start...what ever it was he was going to do.
VAUGHN
*Vaughns scent had picked up the mutants once they had arrived in Lost Angels, so he began to follow the scent wondering who they were. At first his strong paced walked lead him to the front of the graveyard, but then he could sniff out another, running away from the rest.
He bounded after her, gaining close to her each time he moved. He could sence the fear the girl had, and everytime she looked around he blended in with the shadows.
He smirked as he turned back into his human form as he stood right behind her. This being smelt fresh, and since it was fresh it would have nice fresh bones...*
Vaughn: "...Hello, you're not from around here are you?"
*He asked Cat in a helping voice.*
CATHERINE
Cat was streewise, she had spent several years down the back streets of Wahington DC and knew enough not to trust strange men who wander around in the dark of night near graveyards, there was something not right about that. She had once had a particularly nasty run in with a group of boys down a dark alley and had been more than lucky to have come out of it with no more than a small white scar in the hollow at the base of her neck.
She whirled around on the spot to face him, flintching as he spoke, where had he come from? why hadn't she seen or heard him? Small warning lights flashed behind her dark eyes. She looked at him wairly wondering how she should answer him. Don't let him know your alone her steewise mind said while the rest of her paniced, she rubbed sweaty plams on the sides of her green combats, it was a habit she had when she was nervous.
'So.' She said using her universally favourite word and trying to make her voice as expressionless as possible. She knew how difficult it was to have a converstation with someone if you only recived one word answers from them. At the same time she stepped backwards finding her path blocked by several thin tree branches. She eyed him wairly ready to run if she needed to.
VAUGHN
*He looked at the girl as she replied with a one worded answer. She seemed to be cautious, she might end up prooving to be a challenge for him. That was something he hadn't done for a while, mess with someones mind. Sure fighting in a rage until death was fun, but he could do that any day.*
Vaughn: "Look...I can help..."
*He said to Cat. Yeah, help myself, he thought to himself and began to sniff the air. He could smell the others in the graveyard, but that wasn't the reason for his sniffing.*
Vaughn: "They're coming. I can smell them. They're coming for you, they always do when someone new comes. I'm not staying for the fight, I've seen it too many times, nearly been a victim myself..."
*He lied, making the words 'them' and 'they' seem of unspeakable people. He was about to turn around to leave but stopped.*
Vaughn: "Come. Come with me, I have a friend. She can help you and you can maybe help us. Help us rid this world of the evil that lives...Please?"
*He pleaded, his voice becoming really desperate.*
SEAN
The small dark dank crypt was cold and wet and the group of students lack of comfort could be seen instantly. The three of them began to sit down in the blackness of the crypt, Sean's mind raced with thoughts but he had to organise them, he had to concentrate and find Cat.
He looked at the two other students, the fact that this was the 'safeist' place in the graveyard was ironic, a place where the dead lay to rest.
Sean rose from his position at the edge of the room and stood in the center, his eyes closed slowly and before he began to open his mind he spoke;
"You'll have to keep watch."
With that Sean's senses closed and his mind opened, it raced with thoughts and emotions, senses and feelings until he focused on something, someone, somehwere. As the others watched Seans body rose a couple of inches from the ground and his eyes opened, blazing orange behind his glasses. The thoughts focused an image cleared and he saw Cat, he saw Cat in the woods, he saw Cat in the woods with another. Pain began to seer through his mind, he had never used his powers this much, he had gone further than ever. The pain worsened as the image focused and cleared, and he watched as Cat talked to a man, but something about this man was wrong, something unearthly.
But the pain got to much, the glow disappeared, his body crumpled to the floor and his mind was back in the crypt. The silent dark crypt that the slayer, Rouge, had left them in.
He rose his head from the hard concrete floor, "I know where she is..." he said through forced words.....
MARK
Rogue's eyes had wondered outside of the crypt, she could sense it, sense the danger, not a vampire, but something else was in the graveyard..
Her attention was divided as she looked over towards Sean, his display of power causing her to get distracted with the dangers that where lurking in the area. Though she didn't need him to tell her that the girl was in danger, in this world, they where always in danger.
Rogue:"Alright, listen up, there's WereBeast on the loose in the grave yard, we heard him earlier, only 4 of them that live around here, 2 which come to this grave yard, the two that stop by here, not filled with warm fuzzy hugs."
She placed away both her cross and her stake.
Rogue:"Meaning if he's around, the vamps tend to scatter, Vamps and Were-creatures aren't the best of buddies, you lead the way, I'll kick his butt."
She moved out of the crypt impatiently, she turned about and waited for them, Dawn seemed cautious about following but decided it was something she had to do, couldn't leave Cat out here alone.
Beside her a shadow began to swirl, the dark mist forming the body of the sandy haired boy that had come earlier.
Mark:"Alright, looks like we're on our own Jen, you and I, fighting evil, we can do this! ...Stand back you foul demony creatures!"
He yells pointing his finger at Dawn and the two others still seen inside of the Crypt.
Mark:"Hiding in Spike's old place eh? Not a smart cho-"
Rogue:"Their human."
Mark:"..Not a smart place for you guys to be staying!"
He said looking suddenly embarrassed
Rogue:"We're heading out for one of their lost friends, she run off, could you distract the WereBeast while we make our escape?"
She asked as she waited for Sean to recover from what he just did.
Mark:"Sure, use the dead guy as bait, well you know what, I'm tired of being the dead one!"
Rogue:"If we don't get going you're going to have company."
Mark:"..I didn't say I wouldn't do it, I fight for human right!"
He said as he pounded his fist into his chest proudly, he stared over at the girl who was staring at him oddly.
Mark:"We haven't been introduced, I'm Mark, Mark Raven...you're a mutant huh? I was mutant as well...but..I died a year ago."
He told her nodding his head, Dawn just went slightly more pale and looked back for support from Clay or Sean who where taking their time in coming out.
CATHERINE
‘What people?’ She snapped, some inner instinct tugging desperately at her, telling her that this was a person she shouldn’t trust. ‘Why should I trust anyone who wanders around in dark graveyards in the middle of the night?’ She said eyeing him warily, mistrust in her dark eyes. Her voice was sharp and demanding, letting him know she wasn’t about to do anything she didn’t want to.
The rain fell harder upon the young girl, but she was so wet she hardly noticed. She saw him hesitate for a second feeling herself throw up more defensive barriers putting herself even more on guard. Though his mention of them worried her. Where there more ghosts or those beings who had thrown her through the portal? In this strange land she wasn’t sure who was a foe and who a friend.
CLAY
Clay gently suported Dawn, casually wrapping his arm about her shoulder in a friendly manner. It was just his way to be so comfortable and friendly with girls and a strictly friend type of manner although he knew Tessa didn't improve. Her streak of jealousy ran a mile long although nothing had happened between them.
He wondered, not for the first time, if she was alright back at home in his world. If she wasn't and he wasn't there to protect her he didn't know what he'd do.
"So just checking here but there are such things as Vampires, Werewolves and Slayers and we're in danger from them now. If we stick with you things might be better then," Clay said calmly, just making sure he had the facts down since there had been alot to take in just on faith here.
MARK
Mark eyed the strangers with an air of puzzlement.
Mark:"...I'm sensing these guys aren't from our wonderful little hellish dimension."
He said in an off hand sarcastic tone.
Mark:"Well you'll have nothing to fear, Rogue's one of the oldest Slayers ever, she done more slaying then any slayer!"
He gave everyone an assuring smile before his attention snapped across the graveyard towards where two souls where, a dark one as well as a light one.
Mark:"Hey, I'm sensing bad vibes coming from over there, I'll go make sure you're friend stays intact, but you guys have to hurry, any chomping goes down I can't stop it!"
He warned as his body melted away into black mist, reappearing behind Vaughn and clearing his throat loudly.
Mark:"Hey, I thought we put you on a leash, what did Rogue tell you about snacking on innocents, bad puppy!"
He yelled in an attempt to distracted the man, the rain didn't seem to have affected the boy, in fact, it didn't seem to touch him, and the droplets spat right threw his non-corporeal body.
Mark:"Those bones are staying in the pretty lady Vaughn, you want to snack on something, Rogue's on her way with a group of veeery angry mutants, it appears they're keen on finding this girl alive and well, so back off buddy!"
The ghost yelled in a threatening tone, not once looking over at Cat, wanting to do his best to keep Vaughn distracted from her.
VAUGHN
*Before he could reply to the girl, he turned around as Mark spoke. He growled underneath his breath.*
Mark:"Hey, I thought we put you on a leash, what did Rogue tell you about snacking on innocents, bad puppy!"
Vaughn: "Puppy you wish!"
*He snarled to Mark, shifting into his natural WereBeast form.*
Mark:"Those bones are staying in the pretty lady Vaughn, you want to snack on something, Rogue's on her way with a group of veeery angry mutants, it appears they're keen on finding this girl alive and well, so back off buddy!"
Vaughn: "So, Rogue's bringing me more dinner? Great, I'm starved!"
*He licked his lips on his snout, sturring Mark, he slowly sniffed the air again. Cat was still there, it was best he make off with her now. He turned around and grabbed her with his front paws.*
Vaughn: "You're coming with me little lady!"
*He smirked as he began to run off.*
SEAN
Sean rose from the soft ground, the shadow of the pain still sat in his mind. He looked around, another feeling of fear pierced his thoughts as the ghost disappeared and his mind lingered on Cat;
"We have to go. Now!" Sean shouted at the others and before any of them could reply he broke into a sprint, dodging the graves and mounds that permiated the grounds. His eyes set straight on the woood, straight on the location of Cat.
But then she began to move, quickly, very quickly! Sean veered off in that direction but still Cat's feelings left him, he lost her presence, he had lost her.
Sean dropped to his knees in the wet earth, he was shattered, he couldn't go on any longer and now he felt isolated as he waited for the others to catch him up, a single tear roled from his eye.
"Cat, where are you?" he whispered....
MARK Mark:"Stop! Leave her alone! Vaughn I swear you can't harm her! VAUGHN!"
The ghostly boy stomped his feet down angrily as he watched the girl get carried off, Vaughn running right threw his ghostly body in a sign of mockery.
Mark:"Rogue! ROGUE!"
He called out as he took off after the were beast.
Rogue continued running, the sight of the boy on the ground caused her to slow down, pausing infront of him.
Rogue:"You lost her? Look Sean, all your fancy flares and mystic looking hovering, it doesn't matter, a demon has her, Mark is with them, and I am the slayer, as in, demon tracker/hunter."
She pulled him to his feet.
Mark:"Rogue! ROGUE!"
She spun around in the direction Mark was yelling.
Rogue:"I'll run ahead, follow as fast as you can, I'll send Mark back to lead you to us!"
She yelled as she bolted off, her speed greater then the adverage human as she leaped over the bush hedges and made her way after the werebeast down the street
